I am a local to this area and this has been a staple for us when it comes to curry. The portions are great as you can see in the pictures. They have up to three combos; one singular, double, or triple choice of curry. They even give you a naan on the side if you get more than two flavors; I chose garlic. I am a big fan of mango lassi (indian mango yogurt drink) and I was please to see that they offered it here; it was very delicious and not too sweet at all. The staff is very friendly and had great recommendations to consider. I ended up choosing a double combo of chicken tikka masala and butter chicken; perfect combo for me! My partner got the mango chicken and it was also great. There was a lot of seating and you get to sit wherever you want that's available. The dining area was also kept very clean. There was also a lot of parking outside to park at in the plaza which is a plus. As a local I appreciate this unique spot a lot and recommend it to anyone in town especially if you've never tried this food before. :) read more

I heard of this place from SGV eats and read a lot of raving reviews of this place so I had to try for myself! They had so many options to choose from and I ended up getting the mango chicken, chicken tikka masala, eggplant and cauliflower potato! The portion sizes are huge and worth the price point. You can upgrade to garlic naan for 50 cents more. The cauliflower and potato is made with dry spices compared to the other curries, but was a nice contrast to the other dishes I ordered! It was full of flavor. The mango chicken curry was a little sweeter than your typical curry but was my family's favorite! The chicken tikka masala was creamy and had a good tangy tomato flavor. Combos come with 2-3 selections of items, rice and 2 naan. $0.50 for garlic naan instead. 1 Combo with 2 items is pretty large portions for 1 person, great as extra leftovers! We got two combos with 2 items (4 items). All non-dairy items. All meats were tender too. The spice really add flavor. + Goat Curry: Careful of tiny bones. Curry Time have easily become one of my favorite local places to get a satisfying meal! You can smell the deliciousness all the way from the parking lot! no kidding! As soon as you step into the restaurant, you notice all the dishes they have on display. I usually come around 6pm or so and there is never a line or a long wait. I'm in and out within minutes, super awesome! They have a variety of items to choose from, which can be difficult because everything is so delicious. They have vegan options, non-spicy & spicy items - a little bit of everything for everyone. I've been here a handful of times and plan on coming back very soon - again and again. :P Since there aren't many (good) authentic Indian cuisines around, Curry Time is usually my go to now. They also have some tables outside as of end of May 2021. 3 item combo went up so the menu does not reflect the post pandemic inflation. It was $12.99 however, food was pretty good so come help small businesses. It also comes with fresh naan althought it was thinner than the other restaurants naan (make it garlic for 50 cents when most of the other ones is a full extra $1) Got the must haves (1) tikka masala (2) coconut sauce chicken and (3) spinach with cheese (although it had no cheese/paneer in it. The 2 item combo was filled the the rim with sauce, which I love all over the bed of basmati rice. The chunks of meat were pretty good size, not little chunks. The spices where delicious. Stopped by around 4pm on a Tuesday. Just one other customer beside me so service was pretty quick. The food is mostly ready on the steak table and the wait is just for fresh naan which is delish. It took a while to get home, but food was packed well and warm when I was ready to eat. Food was as good as I remember. Goat curry is still my fave, but the two other chicken dishes were a close second. One I know is the black pepper chicken, which is a mix of a Chinese black pepper chicken and mild curry. The other chicken dish's name is a mystery but I asked about a "fried chicken" option they have on a delivery service app. She explained that it was really fried but also something not on the steam table, but available if you order a 3 item combo which I did. It was a bit spicy and more grilled than fried but delish. I'm not in the area much anymore since working from home, but lab to make it a point to order takeout when I am. Note: call direct or order in the store. The wait is pretty short and better off the business gets to keep what little profits they can make these days. I use delivery services often when I need to, but also consider ordering direct when I can. As you can see by the pics, they support delivery services as well so all good. I wish I had gone to Curry Time sooner! I've lived so close to this location for years, and because I rarely visit El Monte, I just never really explored the cities' food options. I actually stumbled upon Curry Time by accident. It is located in the same plaza as Art's Burgers, and I was going to try their burger special they offer on Sundays and Wednesdays. While I was there, I saw the really bright marquee and decided to take a look. The menu is fairly simple, and their set up is like an Panda Express, so you get your food fairly quick if you're in a hurry! All of their curries are laid out, and they vary from vegetarian options to protein options! I order the Two Item Combo and get the fan favorite, Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Goat Curry. The combo comes with rice AND naan! If you're feeling frisky, you can upgrade to a garlic naan for 50 cents more. Their Chicken Tikka Masala is always good. Great flavor with a nice amount of chicken included in the curry. Note that the Goat Curry however is a bit of a gamble, the curry tastes delicious, but because of the bones, sometimes you end up with more bones than you do meat (I had an order that was filled with bones once, that was a sad day)!
