This was my second time visiting this restaurant and I'll definitely go back again. I had the Punjabi Bowl with Saag Paneer and Tikka Masala Paneer and the Chloe or chickpeas and basmati rice. I also got the naan along with the raita. Everything was really delicious. The location is in a great spot and the inside is very modern. I tried the other location in Decatur and they're pretty consistent in flavor. Food is very flavorful. I've had authentic Indian food in Dekalb and for a "street food" concept, Curry Up Now gives me similar flavor as one of favorite (and very popular) Indian Restaurants. This time I tried the Thali - Meat Sweets. I like to sample different entrees and the Thali is always a good one to get. The Meat Sweets comes with lamb and two chicken entrees, rice, naan, yogurt (for the heat) and a small dessert. My favorite is the butter chicken... anything with butter is always awesome. :-) The thali comes in various options including vegetarian. I also had the free naan bits which offers a scrumptious masala dip. They have a fountain drink; I'm partial to the pineapple cream soda and the vanilla cream soda. The place is clean and the service is very good. Sazid at the counter was quite nice. Added plus that the food came out quickly. Even for a chain, this was amazing food and an amazing spot. Immediately walking in the door, it smelled like fresh food and spices. We also enjoyed how clean and hip their location was. What we ordered: Tikka Masala Bowl: It had a flavorful tikka masala sauce which I got cauliflower rice with. The riced cauliflower was seasoned with turmeric and greens and the texture was great! As my side I had the chickpeas, but their was option for lentils also. I felt my portion size was fair and the flavors of everything was exactly what I was looking for. The American Punjabi: This came with Ghee makhni butter chicken which was mostly dark meat and really tender. Aloo gobi, which had stewed potatoes and tomatoes and some other vegetables. It had a home stewed flavor. It also came with lentils, and they had a sweeter flavor than the other two sides. And of course this also had turmeric rice! The naan that came with the meal was also nice and soft. To drink I ordered: Mango Lassi- One of my all time favorite mango flavored yoghurt drinks and this one was no different! We also wanted to make a note that there was multiple options for the naan including a naan "Indian style pizza" that we are dying to try when we come back (stay tuned for updated review) Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options at this restaurant as well, so something on the menu for almost everyone. This was, overall, soooo good. My spouse and I split the mini samosas, the meat sweats thali, and the gulab jamun. The two chicken dishes on the thali were incredible. So flavorful and delicious. The naan could've had more flavor but obviously I love a carb so I still though it was good. Neither of us were a fan of the lamb dish, but I honestly am always iffy on lamb so that could just be me. I love Indian food but it isn't always easy to eat lunch from traditional restaurants that pack to go orders in separate containers. Not only is Curry Up Now convenient, it's delicious! I go there a couple times a week (because it's close to my office), but I end up eating the food more than that because the portions are so large that I always have leftovers. If it were near home, I'm sure I'd eat there 3-4 times/week. I keep track of restaurant food safety ratings, so as long as the ratings stay good, I'll continue enjoying Curry Up Now. I happen to love all types of Indian dishes, but if you think you don't like Indian food, I suggest you give Curry Up Now a try anyway. Honestly I had low expectations for this place being that it's a chain but I was SO pleasantly surprised! I love Indian Food and this place rocks it. Super Affordable with a ton of variety. I love that you can get a little of everything instead of ordering a single flavor. I got the death by Tikka Masala which came with a good portion of Naan. There are some things from here that I really like, and some that you can pass on. -To get: Their tikka masala sauce is actually one of my favorites, with a somewhat different blend of spices than the usual. Both with paneer and chicken it's great. What we usually like to do is get a family style portion of both and then share, since the sauce is quite rich. Plus a couple portions of rice and naan of course. Also their paneer is super firm which I actually quite appreciate. That's probably a matter of personal taste, though. -To pass on: I wanted so badly to like the deconstructed samosa but it ended up tasting very same-y and getting mushy really fast. We ordered the: - Meat Sweats Thali (comes with lamb, and 2 chicken curries, as well as naan, basmati rice, pickled onions, and tomato for garnish) - Sexy Fries (their version of a poutine style fry, was sweet potato fries with cheese and curry on top) - Mango Lassi Overall I found the curries to all be pretty flavorful and rich. I liked the variety in the thali platter. It was a good size to share and try multiple curries if you can't pick one. We got the Sexy Fries spicy, and they did actually have a kick to them. There were a good portion of fries that stayed crispy, even with all the toppings, so that was really great. If you haven't tried a Mango Lassi before, it's smooth and delicious, like a creamy mango smoothie, but not as sweet as typical American smoothies. With everything we ordered, portion sizes were fair and it was just right for two people to share. Tables were taped off to maintain social distancing, and there were people dining in, but everyone spaced themselves out. There's also hand sanitizer provided. Environment/Atmosphere: This restaurant was practically brand new at the time I visited. There was plenty of parking in the surrounding lots and deck and the restaurant was highly visible from he street. On the inside, I was pleased to see that they were practicing COVID-19 safety measures as there were hand sanitizer stations near the door and around the dining area and the employees were wearing face masks. Food/drink: Keema Pav for an appetizer (ground lamb with peas and potatoes). For entrées I got the Death by Tikka Masala Thali (chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, and daal lentils) and the Ghee Makhni Butter Bowl with chicken (mildly spiced butter masala with rice, chana garbanzo masala or homestyle daal lentils). For dessert I got the Gulab Jamun and for drinks I ordered the Mango Lassi and the Ginger-Mint Lemonade. I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful the food was! The taste was almost like what you would expect from a traditional Indian restaurant, but a bit toned down for the fast-casual dining setting. I tend to like spicy food so I asked for some hot sauce. I was presented with a sauce that I was told had a secret recipe. Now, please note that this sauce is not for the faint of heart as it is very hot but had a lot of flavor (tasted like it had habanero and scotch bonnet peppers in it). I really enjoyed it, and it was a great addition to the meal so if you like spicy I highly recommend asking for a side if this sauce. The Gulab Jamun was served warm and it was delightful. I think next time I will try the version that also comes with ice cream so I can get that "cake" and ice cream combination feeling. Service: A.J. was working the cash register when I first ordered and in speaking with him later, I learned that he was the owner of this location. He was very friendly and kept checking on me to make sure everything was ok and to see if I was enjoying the dishes that I got. Overall, I'm excited about Curry Up Now as a new addition to Madison Yards and offering viable ethnic cuisine options. I also think that their dishes are much tastier and closer to authentic than other fast casual Indian restaurants I've been to in the city. Curry up now is conveniently located in Madison yards shopping center off of Memorial Drive. The decor was bright and unique, which made it feel very welcoming. It is important to note that they take precautions for social distancing using a plastic screen when you order. When I walked in, I was instantly greeted and was able to review the menu. After I decided what I wanted, I was directed to sit anywhere I liked while I waited. To my surprise, my food was cooked quickly. And to my delight, when I got home, and the food was still piping hot even after I made a stop somewhere else. That was just an indicator to me that the food was made fresh. Now for the being, you have been waiting for about the meal itself. I ordered The holy moly fried ravioli as a starter. It was very tasty with fried cheese sauce inside, the perfect way to start off the meal. My mom said it was so good it inspired her to make some on her own. I also have the meats and suites tali platter, which contains several types of meat, rice, naan bread, and papadum. Let me tell you; the naan bread was amazing and so buttery. I really could've eaten so much more. The platter was enough for two meals and maybe even three if I hadn't been so greedy. It has the perfect combination of flavor and seasoning to make you want more. To top it off for a beverage, I had the mango lassi, and it was very fresh, almost like a smoothie. Another AMAZING find thanks to Yelp Elite Events. I had the opportunity to check out this new addition to the neighborhood with my plus one. Coverd parking lot is easily accessible with ramp and stair right by the entrance. Inside the decor is colorful, bright, and fun and the offer counter seating if you like to watch passersby while you eat. The menu has several northern India inspired recipes but it borrows from other regions as well. There were so many options it wasn't easy to just crave one. We ordered the Death by Tikka Masala Thali, Lamb Bowl, samosas, daal lentil halwa, and a REFRESHING hibiscus drink. First of all the flavor are FULLY present and accounted for! I loved everything on every plate. This is one of those places where you have to order multiple things because everything on the menu sounds so good! This new addition to Grant Park offers Indian street style food in a fast/casual environment. The menu features everything from your favorite classic Indian dishes like Tika Masala and Somosas to some interesting Indian fusion options like the tandoori fried chicken sandwich and the poutine inspired "sexy fries". We decided on the chicken sandwich, the butter chicken burrito and the somosas. Everything came out quick and was so flavorful and delicious! I highly recommend the chicken sandwich but you can't go wrong with any of these options. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and followed covid protocol (all employees wore masks and plenty of room to social distance). Overall 9/10 and will definitely be back! read more

It has been a long time since we've indulged in a nice, hearty dinner. And this hit the spot! I wish we felt comfortable dining in restaurants right now, but since we don't, I can't evaluate the vibe of eating there. But I can vouch for the food and it's ability to hold up on the drive home! We ordered the naan bites, the protein bowl, and the death by tikka masala bowl. All DELICIOUS! The naan bites were good, but the naan that came with the meal was even better - warm, chewy, a hint of garlic, covered in sesame seeds. The dipping sauce that came with it was also enjoyable. I told myself the protein bowl seemed RELATIVELY healthy (it's not healthy, but there are some greens involved), and it was great. A salad base with half an avocado and some other small little veggies. Then three different kinds of either chicken or paneer. I went with all chicken, and it was all mixed together, and all tasted great. The death by tikka masala bowl was even better. The rice it came with was even better to pair with the paneer and chicken than my salad base, haha. Between the two meals and the naan appetizer, this order lasted us two consecutive dinners. Woo, less cooking! We also ordered the ginger-mint lemonade, and it was too savory for our taste... but it may be someone else's cup of tea! The Gulab Jamun for dessert was too sweet for me (and I love sweet), but my boyfriend enjoyed them. They are carmelized milk balls in sugar syrup. There is plenty of parking - Just park in the underground part of the deck and there are some stairs that go right up to the front door. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The menu is pretty big and diverse, and there are a lot of options even for the picky eater. I got the Tikka Masala burrito and it was delicious! The Tikka Masala bowl also looked amazing. The fountain drinks are not traditional and they have some brands I've never seen before, but they were still good. The place was clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms were also clean. Well done!
