Loved this shop! We were walking around the area and decided to stop in to check it out. They have a few parking spots out front and the inside was bigger than I expected. They had a great variety of candies, snacks, chips, and sodas. They also had a very good selection of beers, wine and even liquor if you're looking to stock up for a party or pick up something to go with dinner. We ended up picking out a couple drinks, a bag of chips that we had never seen before (Doritos with Cheddar Sour Cream flavor) and I bought a couple lottery tickets. They also have a deli inside and the sandwiches sound amazing! Unfortunately we stopped in on Sunday when the deli part is closed, but we'll be back to try them out soon! The person working there was also really friendly, he greeted me on the way in and asked if I needed help finding anything. If I lived in the area I'd be here all the time. This is one of our usual stops if we are headed to a function that requires libations. Their beer selection is one of the best in town, and they never let us down. I am a fan of Belgians, stouts, and porters, and they always have my back. On hot summer days when something lighter is required, the freezer section always has something to help with this. You also can't go wrong with a snack while you're here and if you're hungrier, they have killer sandwiches from the deli. I am a fan of the Green Karma vegetarian sandwich, but I can also build my own grilled or cold veggie sammie instead when I'm feeling it. Not a small shop by any means, and they have many convenience items as well. Curtis Park Market has a small parking lot with spots in front and on the side of the building, and there's street parking as well. Everyone who works here is great, especially our sandwich makers. We go to Curtis Park Market for their excellent IPA choices. They keep their beer fresh and they have a fantastic selection. The best in town. This review is for the deli. They have about 20 different sandwiches divided between hot and cold and a few salads. Full sandwiches are $15, half a sandwich is $8. We split the hot chicken sando. It was well-made and one sandwich did two of us just right. The service was fast and friendly. I didn't like their prior sandwich guy, but these two dudes did a great job. My only complaint was the sandwich was kind of bland, but I am somebody who puts hot sauce or peppers on everything. It was tasty and I ate every bite. Needed pepperoncinis. read more

Literally they just refused selling tobacco to my partner because she's trans. "You're not a woman" came out of his mouth. Not only did the customers do nothing to step in on his transphobic rant, but he doubled down on her not being a woman. My own experience with the same guy: one time a customer and I both tried to reason with him about politics, and we all respectfully agreed to disagree, but when he is stepping in and costing this money based on his own personal decisions about what is "real", we will no longer be customers. Really sad because we love the deli in the back and the barbecue from the LeftoverCrack T-shirt. guy is great. Intolerance is not something we can excuse for good sandos though. read more

Their prices are comparable to the local grocery stores and other craft brew spots in the area. I love that they carry a wide variety of beers: sours, saisons, IPAs, lagers, etc. They recently just opened up a sandwich spot inside their store so that's next on my list to try. read more

They're thieves! I like that they sell single beers. What I don't like is that some of the cashiers skim change from the customers. I was in at noon and bought a beer. It was $3.50 with a 50¢ penalty for using my debit card. Two and a half hours later, the exact same product was $4.81. $3.50 for the beer, 50¢ penalty for using the debit card, 31¢ tax, and a blatant and deliberate theft of an additional 50¢. I demanded a receipt and what he gave me documented $4.31 of the purchase. When I pointed out the discrepancy, he gave me the 50¢ back. Giving the money you stole from me back after I caught you doing it doesn't change the fact that you're a thief! read more

Like everything these days this place is overpriced. That said some items are better values than others. Avoid the BLAT, it's a jip at $15; store-bought sliced wheat bread toasted with maybe three pieces of bacon that you can't bite through so it pulls all of the sandwich's innards out. Absolutely no way it is worth $15. Most of the sandwiches aren't worth the price but this one is particularly egregious. read more

Updating my review because I wanted to highlight a couple things. The deli is awesome, I have tried several items off the menu (which they have expanded with breakfast options now) everything is always SO tasty! My go to is the Ham & Swiss panini. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the gentleman who usually works at the deli section but he is always super friendly and gets my order to me in a timely manner. My sandwiches are never sloppy and just thrown together, it's prepped very nicely and delish! I live literally 4 seconds from CPM and I'm always greeted by name from my FAV employee, Ross! He's super helpful, friendly and fast. I sometimes go in there to grab a pack of cigs and I never have to remind him which ones I get cause he's just awesome like that! Overall this place is just great, everyone who works there is really friendly, the place is always clean/organized and it's a perfect quick shop/lunch place right in my hood! We love this place and have been getting kegs from them for quite a while now, but we just had a pretty terrible experience and we probably won't be coming back. I paid the deposit for the first keg I got from here, and have just been swapping empties for new ones since then. At the time I asked for a receipt but he said it would never be a problem to get my deposit back because I would have a keg as proof I paid it. Ok, makes sense. We are moving, so we wanted to return our current empty and get the deposit back, with the intention of getting a new keg and paying a new deposit after we moved. We went last night and talked to Troy, who called the owner on the phone. They asked me to come back this morning. So I did. Owner told me it's illegal for him to give me the deposit back because it had been more than three months since I paid the original deposit. Kind of like it's been illegal for him to sell me kegs with no paperwork all this time. But ok. I've never had a single keg for more than three months, so in reality he should have been giving me back my deposit each time and I would have handed it right back to him. Meaning he should still have my deposit from last time. That logic was completely lost on him and he just smirked and shrugged as if there was nothing he could do. So basically he completely robbed me of the deposit, made me come back twice to be told "haha we are keeping your money sorry," and he acted like a smirky prick about it and suggested I contact Two Rivers directly. I'm pretty bummed to be treated this way by a business I have enjoyed so much, but I don't see myself ever coming back. Hope the deposit was worth it for him. read more

This little place is awesome and the guy at the front is super chill. I went over to the spot because I was biking in the area. I remembered they had an amazing craft beer selection and I wasn't disappointed when I popped in at all. This is also the place to go for ciders if you like those... They had a large range of those as well. I happened to have been talking to someone in the store when I bumped a beer on the display and it went for a nose dive (in my defense, I think it was poorly placed!). It made a very impressive explosion when hitting the floor. I felt soooooooooo bad about it though... So I grabbed a few brews and offered to pay for the broken one as well. The guy was really nice, didn't charge me, and even made a joke about how I made the store smell really good. :) So for penance, I picked up some Buzz Ballz because I knew they were trying to get rid of them things... I used to go here to get my stout and porter beer all the time. However, the last couple of times I went to get beer I noticed that the stout fridge and beer had mold. I told the owner every time and it seems like he doesn't care. I finally informed an employee and that person told me they cleaned the fridge but it keeps coming back and the owner doesn't want to buy another fridge. I understand a fridge could be expensive but he is risking customers health. If it was a bit of mold I would have cleaned the cans when I got home but this was a lot of mold. I am disappointed since I enjoyed their selection of stout beer. I have not been to Curtis in 3 weeks so I hope they have gotten the issue fixed. read more

What a great market in the heart of Curtis Park! I have been searching for some Bourbon County Stout since I missed the release last week. Most of the usual big box stores were out. I called the store and got in touch with Keenan, who I believe is the owner. He happily told me he had a few left in the shelf, so I rushed right over. I went straight to the beer and wine section...but as I got there, I was impressed with the many fantastic craft beer offerings. I browsed the selection like a kid in a candy store before finally heading to the register with my purchase. Keenan noticed my purchase and happily shared his thoughts on this particular stout. He also gave me a couple recommendations for other stouts he enjoys, which are more readily available. Keenan also suggested I "like" the market on Facebook, and that I can message him anytime with stock questions, beer feedback etc. The Bourbon County Stout was very pleasant...but not nearly as enjoyable as my interaction with the Owner. I look forward to returning to report my findings on the beer recommendations and to check out their other beer selections on my next trip! read more

I have to give the Curtis Park Market a lot of credit for knowing exactly what it is: the corner market that if for the quick visit for six pack or a gallon of milk or ice. Good selection of spirits and not just the (ahem) cheaper stuff. A few aisles of grocery items, a small meat area, and some produce. Really nice owners and an ATM machine that has a $1.50 service charge. Update: the Curtis Park Market has a new owner and he is stocking one of the most unique adventurous beer selections in Sacramento.
