Was in town and went with a girlfriend to one of her guy friends bday parties that was thrown here. Walked into what felt like a Brooklyn , NY city lounge. Def gave me those vibes and I really loved the esthetics! The dj was playing all good music and classics. The owner was behind the bar and was super friendly. Def recommend stopping by for a drink and a chill vibe. read more

My friend reserved the upstairs lounge for her 40th birthday and catered a taco stand outside for us. We each got a custom bracelet and the bartender would add our drinks to the birthday tab and we would eat our tacos outside. It was a great last Saturday night of December. The Kings had played a day game and won so from the patio while eating tacos we had a clear view of Golden One and the beam. The space is a millennials dream with gorgeous updated mid century aesthetic and a well balanced drink menu of local craft beer/cider and wine. The DJ was playing a mix of 80's and some stuff I didn't recognize. Unfortunately, the DJ was not willing to play hip hop which was more our scene. The bar staff were super friendly and checked up on us upstairs a few times to pick up glasses. I had a strawberry cider and after enjoying every drop, realized it was an 8% drink! Switched to a delicious lager afterwards while my spouse enjoyed a hazy ipa. Unfortunately, there is only one bathroom so the line was almost always a thing. The place was packed downstairs so it was louder but overall great party vibes. This place is great for date night, a birthday bar hop, or a solo date! read more

Such a cool place! My husband and I happened upon Legend Has It before going to Kings game. It was our first night out/date night since having our second child and this place was PERFECT. We enjoyed some delicious beer in such a chill and cool environment. They had a great variety of local beers on tap and other craft beers in cans. The music was great. I can't wait to come back for another night out. read more

I came to Legend Has It for an Emo Nite that they were holding. This place has a cool lounge type of feel to it as all the music they're playing came from vinyls. Two stories -- first floor has the DJ, tables, and bar. Second floor has additional seating. Despite all the seating opportunities, it can get fairly busy within the space which meant that all seat are taken. Even standing, it can feel pretty tight which makes it a bit difficult to enjoy yourself. You can request songs if the DJ has it on vinyl. Drinks were mediocre. Would I be back? Possibly. Heads up that if you're looking for something w a bit more energy, this is not the place. read more

I didn't know this place was here until a mutual friend was DJing so I decided to stop by on a Saturday night. Absolutely love the vibe. It's a very classic feel with wood accents throughout, a huge wall lined with records, and the Dj playing vinyl all night. Definitely a niche, cool spot near DOCO. You have to check out. I can't give them five stars because they don't have any liquor, just beer and wine right now but I still enjoyed my drink! read more

Went on a Thursday night - was pretty packed IMO. We couldn't find a spot to sit on the floor and got lucky with a spot upstairs. Only one restroom. But plenty of parking next to the bar. Vibes were pretty good but kinda hard to get to a bartender because that area was really packed but we made it through. Plenty of N/A options! Nice spot to check out and beat the heat on a Sunday afternoon. DJ spins from 4-8pm. I pulled in around 5pm and it was already full with some limited seating upstairs and outside. Many beer canned and draft options, non-alcoholic, sake and wine options. A great spot to unwind in downtown Sacramento. read more

One of the top wine bars on my list now! I came by on a Friday night and was a little skeptical at first. I thought there might be a private event going on but it turned out to just be a DJ and some really great energy. This spot gives off grown, cozy vibes that I instantly loved. We originally planned to just have a glass of wine, but the atmosphere was so chill and welcoming that we ended up staying for a couple of hours and splitting a bottle. The staff made a great first impression. Super attentive and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. There's an upstairs seating area too, which is a nice option if the main floor fills up. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxed night cap, a casual date spot, or just a place to catch up with a friend over a great glass (or bottle) of wine. read more

Okay, we are visiting our friend out here in Sac and she brought us here and we are in love. This place is SO CUTE. The ambience is so cool with the wall of vinyls, vinyls playing, and their alcohol selection is so nice! Jae helped us and she is INCREDIBLE. She was patient with all of our questions, was super kind, and wanted to help us find a drink we'd all love! She was also so funny! And Selene was also so kind! I've had this place saved for so long and I finally got to check it out!! It's the perfect spot for a date night! We tried their organic wines and the new sake cocktails. All of it was great!!! I'm not a big drinker so the staff was super helpful in nailing down what to order. The owner especially was so amazing. He was super kind and down to earth so it was great chatting to him. And last but not least, of course, the music was amazing. My partner is super into hi-fi and collecting vinyl records, so he absolutely loved it. Came here on a date night with my husband. The ambience is so cute in this place and the music was on point. Haven't heard Musiq soul child in a long time. The gal that helped us at the bar gave me a recommendation for what wines to try since I really only drink sweet wines. The wine she recommended wasn't a sweet wine as they didn't have any on their list but it aligned with my palette and we had a great time! read more

Since I rarely have a reason to make the 20 minute trek from my home in Elk Grove to Downtown Sacramento, I feel completely disconnected from the new (to me at least) and popular establishments. Thankfully, a good friend of mine keeps me in the loop whenever she discovers a place of interests. That place of interests this time around happened to be Legend Has It, Sacramento's first hi-fi bar that appeals to audiophiles and music lovers such as myself! Upon entering the establishment, I was warmly greeted by bartender MJ who was making a drink for a patron while chatting with him about a record that was currently playing. Since my friend had already gotten the party started with a glass of their natural Sauvignon Blanc, I joined the party by ordering a delicious canned sour by the name of Howzit Punch. We enjoyed the smooth sounds of soul as we sat in a dimly lit booth chatting and sipping on our drinks. At one point a song called "Girls Can't Do What the Guys Do" by Betty Wright started playing, which intrigued me because Beyonce sampled a portion of the song in her song "Upgrade U." If you're looking for a relaxing environment where you can vibe out (literally) while enjoying a few drinks, I highly recommend checking out Legend Has It! read more

Fantastic atmosphere! Chill and personable owners! Awesome menu selection! Go...seriously. Overall, this spot is a vibe. Upstairs, downstairs and outside areas. Cozy feel. Legend has it that the cost per beer is on the higher side for Sacramento. Legend has it that the Mexican amber beer I was sold was flatter that a 5 year old boy. a gem in downtown sac. i've been here twice for post-dinner drinks and it hits every time. the ambiance, vibes and live dj are immaculate. loud enough to get a dance floor going yet quiet enough to carry a conversation. not a full bar, but good selection of beer, wine and even sake options. the space is small, so it can get crowded. while i love this spot and wish it would remain a best kept secret, i want everyone to know about it and for the business to flourish with patrons because that's how cool it is. read more

I like this place... A lot. I wish that they did have some type of food, but this is definitely a little relaxing feel with seating and amazing music. We ordered a stout and a hazy and we cozied up upstairs in a couple of the chairs going through some computer work. If you want to veer away from a coffee shop to study or just a place to hang out with great music and have a beer. This is a great location. I would highly recommend it. read more

My husband and I ventured out for a rare date night downtown to Legend has it. First bonus of this gem is that there's parking on 4th right behind the venue. We walked into the spot and were impressed with the vibe overall. Great music provided by local talented DJs, amazing sound system and lots of space to sit or stand and enjoy a drink or two. We had a reservation for the perfect little table upstairs. The chairs were comfy, yet upscale and we were able to sit, chat, people watch and have a wonderful evening. The service was superb, and the price was reasonable. We are already planning another visit! read more

Customer service was excellent-- attentive, friendly & helpful. While pondering what type of wine to order, MJ, who was tending the bar asked me what type of wine I usually like and I shared that I was typically a red wine drinker. He offered me a taste of 2 different red options and I selected the Tessier Day Dreaming red blend. It was served chilled, full -bodied with hints of tropical fruit. Sipping the glass of wine paired with the soulful sounds of music playing in the background was the perfect pairing for a laid back start to a Friday evening. This place is so cute! I love vinyls, so I was excited to check this place out. My friend and I went for a Galentines date on a Thursday night and it was not busy at all. They had a DJ present who was playing lots of R&B song and the music was just great! The ambiance was chill and mellow, which paired perfectly with a glass of wine. I totally get the hype! As soon as you step inside, the aesthetic is just fantastic--those walls filled with vinyl are a feast for the eyes! The music selection is so relaxing, making it a perfect spot to unwind. I love the variety of their food and drinks menu. I can't wait for them to settle in and hopefully expand their hours and alcohol options to include some whiskey or scotch; I can just imagine how much more enjoyable the music would be! So cute! They have over 8,000 records, and the vibes are A+. There's an outdoor area and an upstairs area if you don't want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Good mix of beer, natural wines, ciders, and a couple seltzers. NA options too. They don't have food, but you can bring your own in from next door. I came to visit my friends and we went to a brewery to catch up. My friend just bought a house and was moving, as well as having her birthday, so her ID was expired which we were not aware of. It happens. My friend was going to log into DMV just so she can show a valid ID the bartender but another woman working came up exclaiming they can not accept that and she will not get a drink. My friend did not argue about it and my other friend and I got our beers and sat down. We just wanted to spend time and catch up. My friend with the expired ID did not even take a sip of any drinks and respected the policy, the woman that we talked to earlier about the ids then proceeded to come up to us and say that we were sharing drinks, yelling and being very hostile. We were all confused because in no way, my friend even touched or drank any of the drinks. She insisted to call the cops. We then asked her if she had any evidence such as video footage and she said she did not have any access to that and she did not have footage. She said we were breaking the law and she will get the police involved for underage drinking. She was being extremely hostile. THANK YOU BY THE WAY SHE IS IN HER 30s BUT BESIDE THE POINT THEY REFUSED TO PULL UP THE FOOTAGE AND CORNERED US WHEN WE WERE DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. We even encouraged to call the police then she started back tracking. Their lead came in. We again, asked for the footage and he then, unrelated, said they are on the verge of closing rather than taking any form of accountability or apologizing for how his colleague was treating us. We asked for a refund and would leave, we were so uncomfortable. He then proceeded to say we did not pay for the drinks and I had to pull up my credit card statement to even prove it, which is absolutely ridiculous. I got our drinks and paid/ closed the tab before even sitting down. We asked to talk to a manager again. Mind you, we asked previously, and got the lead. The manager just asked if we were from the Bay and shook our hands instead of actually doing anything about the situation. I saw her hug the woman that was accusing after we were leaving which is absolutely ridiculous. Why would you encourage that type of behavior to your staff. Profiling in 2025 is insane. I feel bad for my friends. I feel extremely uncomfortable. Discriminating and accusing just because we are the only POCs in the room is so embarrassing. DO BETTER- NOT EVEN AS AN ESTABLISHMENT BUT JUST AS HUMAN BEINGS.
