Very small shop. On my first visit at 7:30 a.m., the man behind the counter told me I would have to wait 15-30 minutes because the cook had not arrived yet, so I left. On my second visit at 8:00 a.m., I ordered breakfast and a cappuccino. The breakfast was overpriced--over $8--and the cook added so much black pepper without asking that I had to throw away half of it. The cappuccino also did not taste good. Get off the G and RUN to Cusp. This neighborhood has a lot of competition in the morning but I go back time and time again because: 1. Jae is amazing - he remembers everyone and always makes me feel like I'm talking to family as he takes everyone's orders 2. The coffee is creamy... I have gone to Winner, SBux, Blue Bottle, Variety and Colson in the area. The coffee doesn't compare 3. The prices are wonderful considering the neighborhood. They give out punch cards! 4. I was in the area and craving a Nutella crepe so I typed exactly that into the search field in the Yelp app which returned numerous nearby options. I settled on this cafe because it was on my way home. Upon arrival, I realized that it was next door to Smiling Pizza but never had noticed it before because it looks like a regular cafe from the street. I opted for the Nutella, Strawberry & Banana crepe which I rationalized as the healthiest way to satisfy my sweet tooth. The crepe was thin yet fluffy and filled with the right amount of fruit. There was a generous amount of Nutella inside and outside of the crepe. It was pretty to look at and even better to devour. While waiting for my crepe to be prepared, I perused their shelves which had some delectable European chocolates and tins of loose leaf tea at decent prices. They make some excellent breakfast sandwiches--their bacon, egg and cheese croissant is perfect, and is often a highlight of my morning (I mean that as a compliment, even if I find mornings loathsome. If you can get it, that is. While they open at 7am, they sometimes are only serving coffee and pastries until around 8am. If you're going to get me hooked on the crack that is your breakfast sandwich, you'd better be ready to serve it the second that sign flips from closed to open! They offer excellent coffee (Stumptown) as well, and it even seems fresh if you stop in for a late-afternoon pick-me-up--unlike far too other spots. It's a small spot, ideal for takeaway but with a couple of stools for a quick dine-in experience. The kitchen area is right behind the counter, and the fresh ingredients are prepared right in front of you. I've only tried a couple of the lunch crepes, and they were solid options as well, served with a simple, tasty side salad. I don't know how it is that I've yet to come in and try a Nutella crepe for dessert--I guess I'm too busy stopping in here for breakfast--but I'll be sure to rectify that oversight as soon as possible. read more

I had a breakfast crepe with turkey, Muenster cheese, and egg and it was nothing to write home about. While the cheese gave it good flavor and the turkey was good, the crepe itself wasn't wonderful - a little overdone on some places and the presentation was lacking. That said, they have good, friendly service and a plus for having hot apple cider. Yes!!!! Highly recommend for espresso or a smoothie. They add protein upon request to the smoothie. Their ABC is amazing (Avocado, Bacon, Cheese). They have a rewards system for coffees/espresso. I love this little store. It's cute. I had a matcha latte with a shot of espresso and surprisingly was delicious (usually the espresso is so overpowering you can't taste the matcha but I was still able to taste the matcha with this one), and a maple latte (doesn't taste like maple syrup but it was perfectly sweet for me and delicious). They have a little station where you can put however much sugar you want so it's not going to be either too sweet or not sweet enough it's customizable to your taste which I thought was so unique and helpful. read more

Lately I have been looking to switch up my lunch regime. Usually I would have a bowl of ramen from Naturo Ramen which is right across the street from my office but today I was in the mood for something a little healthier but just as tasty. So I passed a few places, stopped at Juice Press a few blocks away from this spot for a drink, debated on getting a soup as well but changed my mind. I ultimately found myself at this spot. My office is over at 5th Ave between 1st and 2nd so I wouldn't have found myself here on a regular day but I'm glad that I decided to take this mini journey in order to satisfy my cravings. It's a small spot, next to the subway, hospital, and Barnes & Nobel. I didn't get a chance to check out their ratings here on yelp but I got a good vibe from the place. Not many seats here. Not a place for you to sit down for a while to eat and chat with friends, it's more like a eat it quickly and keep it moving joint. Very clean and well kept. Love the little cafe vibe that it gives off. The guys at the register were very polite and professional. They took my order right away and got to work. I am not sure how this place is when it's busy however, I was the only person there. But based on how they did things, they probably get through their customers quickly during the rush hours. I ordered the Italiano Panini which comes with a salad for $10 bucks. It was pretty damn good I tell ya. Fresh ingredients. It was piping hot when they gave it to me. And boy was it filling! If I'm getting coffee, I'm getting Cusp- This is absolutely the best cup of coffee this side of Brooklyn and an absolute must for any coffee lover. Strong, consistent, and well balanced coffee that is actually worth your money. Everyone I bring here is surprised at how good just a basic drip or cold brew tastes; the coffee is never burned or acidic, and when I opt for a hot latte the milk is velvety smooth and foamed to perfection. I'd highly recommend adding maple if you want something sweet, but 'not too sweet'. 5 stars! read more

I asked how many shots went in and they told me 2 but the color was really light and the taste was not good. Nice crepe (fav one) spot in Park Slope, they have tons of savory and sweet crepes. (Usd 10) My favorites are asparagus tomato mushrooms and cottage cheese and the Nutella and banana! The dough is made of a piece of mushy heaven and the stuffing is delicious and made of super quality goods. For that reason I think that the price is perfect. The staff is super super super friendly and smiley, the place is small but in a good way, because is cozy and have a bar by the window (and that's it) The coffee is great, and made in a vintage coffee Machine that also looks adorable. This place has some really good iced coffee. It's like pure crack and makes you super shaky. I was pretty surprised, considering how much coffee I drink. Note: they have weird Italian almond "milk," which is a sugary, syrupy, almondy liquid thing. It's small with just a few stools for seating, so not really a place to hang out, although a couple of the stools face the street so it'd be decent people watching if you don't mind being on a stool, and don't want to be there for too long. They made my latte in my travel mug, but maybe due to that it was pretty weak in terms of flavor. The coffee flavor was good, not bitter. They're very willing to customize in terms or milk options. On the average to slightly pricy side for the area, with no credit for using my travel mug, which is fine because I'd do it regardless, but getting credit for it would be nice.
