They and the other driver's insurance company totaled my truck and even tried to convince me that my truck's frame was bent! And after 7 months dealing with those 2 other companies and giving them almost $10,000 my truck still wasn't fixed! A co-worker told me about Jay Walton and promised me they would take care of me and my truck.....and Jay Walton to the rescue! Even though they were given a truck that was missing the entire front end, they were brave and knowledgeable to take on the challenge! Not only did Jay Walton do the diagnostics to discover if my truck's frame was bent, they proved it was not! And they never tried to take advantage of me or be dishonest. Ryan kept in touch with me with updates and was always quick to find out answers and address any issues that came up. Best of all, Jay Walton had my truck completely repaired in 2 months! No response except in person visit got a promise a manager would get back to me. They never have. This is a very honest business that doesn't try to Price gouge (take it from someone who received many, many quotes). They did a fantastic job on rebuilding my suspension, replacing my CV axles, and putting in new front and rear brakes, among other work. Seriously, I couldn't believe the night and day difference before and after I had the work done. It was like I was driving a new car. They officially have a customer for life (or at least, as long as I'll be in Albuquerque). I highly recommend them for your auto servicing needs.

I called Brown's Automotive Experts and spoke with a man named Chris (at the 6401 Signal Ave NE / Far Northeast Heights location). Chris mentioned he has four daughters of his own and assured me he would "take care of her." That reassurance meant a lot in the moment. He called back with the diagnosis: one cracked spark plug causing the misfire. He then immediately recommended replacing all spark plugs plus a fuel-injection service--totaling $1,800. I asked for the price to replace just the spark plugs; he quoted $1,300. I explained we couldn't afford that and requested they replace only the one cracked plug so she could safely reach school and we could plan the rest later. Chris refused. The shop would not do a single spark-plug replacement. It was pay $1,300 for the full set or just the diagnostic fee--and they'd send her back on the road with the flashing light and misfire still active. They were ready to release a teenage driver with a known engine issue rather than perform the minimal, diagnosed repair. This felt like blatant upselling that took advantage of her vulnerability and my concern as a parent 150+ miles away. I've never posted a review this strongly, but I won't stay silent when a business exploits a young woman's roadside emergency to push unnecessary $1,300-$1,800 services. My car insurance was a pain to work with, and Art coached me through the whole thing. Additionally, Art/Goodfellas really stepped up and helped me handle them and get reimbursed. (He even gave me the lowdown on which auto insurance companies might seem like a good deal because they have cheaper rates, but they try to wiggle out of paying when you need them). I was so impressed with the work they did on my car that insurance covered, that I wound up scheduling a follow-up to have them fix another issue I'd been meaning to fix. They did good work, at a much better rate than the previous shop that had given me a quote. Also, I'm not much of a movie person, but the Goodfellas theme/decor was entertaining, too.
