Called around to a few different places and soon found this place (in the Chick Fil-A shopping center) to be the fastest and least expensive. We were able to get the screen replaced in less than 15 min. Quite impressive because customers can actually watch the process! This guy is like a phone surgeon! I needed to replace the glass on my iPhone in a pinch and after calling around and checking, Salmaan's shop came up as the lower-priced option. I only happened upon it because the big shop next door (I won't name them but they sell batteries in all shapes and sizes :-) ) recommended him. They were priced slightly higher so I thanked them for the recommendation. When I arrived at the shop, there was one customer in front of me. After 10 minutes, it was my turn. Salmaan was very friendly, greeted me, and proceeded to work on the screen replacement. Wow, he was just so knowledgeable and skilled when it came to removing and replacing the screen. It's not just as simple as replacing the screen as there are other pieces of hardware and brackets to move from the old screen to the new one. He double-checked everything and made sure that the phone worked and responded to touch before calling the repair, complete. His store is really interesting with a wall-covering made of shattered and broken iPhone screens. Cool atmosphere to show that breaking iPhone screens is a common occurrence. Glad Salmaan was available to work on my iPhone and not cost an arm, a leg, and a foot. I would highly recommend this store. for al of your repair needs. read more

DO NOT take your device here!! If it gets messed up, don't say I didn't warn you. This review is long overdue. My back glass on my iphone13 was cracked. I went there and the people in front of me were complaining about how they didn't fix his device (that should have been my warning sign). I waited anyways and showed it to the young guy behind the counter and he told me I could have it later that day. He didn't give me a pick up slip or take any of my information. I told him I'd be back at 6. I paid the $180 bucks or so and got my receipt. I show back up and he fumbles through a few phones and finds mine. The back glass is NOT repaired. It looks like a car ran out over!! Shattered into a million pieces and very deeply cut out (not slightly cracked...demolished). He tells me he needs to laser it off because if you get too close to the back parts, the phone won't work. He would use laser so it doesn't get damaged and told me to bring it back tomorrow. I asked if the phone still works and he said yes. I leave and power it in and there is no cell signal! I used my husband's phone to call them and let them know and he says he didn't touch the components of the phone. I took it to the Apple Store and explained the whole situation. They told me that when the cell single doesn't work at all, the internal components were damaged and it's not reparable by replacing the back glass. I show up here the next day and explain to him again that the phone doesn't work. He says he didn't touch the internal components and how does he know my phone wasn't already not working. Is he freaking serious??? It worked just fine right before I dropped it off and stopped working immediately after I picked it up. Why would I pay to replace glass if the phone itself didn't work? Makes no sense. I raise a stink and he agrees to give me a refund. Then he calls his boss who basically said no. Let them laser it off more and "fix it" I refused. Meanwhile, a line is building behind me. The guy behind me says "can you just give her her money back already so we can move on?" The guy then presses the refund button and says "I already did". On my way out, he says verbatim "I'm tired of all these bullshit customers." WTF. You broke my phone and then you tried to scam me. I told him I'm reporting his business to the better business bureau and leaving him a review in Yelp so everyone else doesn't get conned like I did! Worst customer service. Terrible attitude. No skills at fixing things. Go here at your own risk. They are SHADY. read more

Absolutely incredible! I woke up in the morning and my touchscreen wasn't working. I called first thing when they opened and Salman told me that the screen needed to be replaced, and gave me three different options with three different price points. He walked me through the differences between the three of them and made a recommendations. I took it in and he replaced the screen in like 10 minutes! This is the best phone/device repair store ever. It is so refreshing to get good service these days. I have been going here for years and it has only gotten better with the new ownership. Any time I need a phone, Ipad, or Nintendo device fixed they get it done and quickly. If they can not fix it in-store at that time, they will get it done ASAP, and even take the product to another one of their sister stores for you to have it repaired and bring it back. I have waited for a long time to write this review because I see how the owner typically reacts to negative reviews. This place always took really good care of me until another man started working here other than Jay. I took an iPad in for a cracked screen. When it was returned to me everything seemed fine until my son pointed out that the home button was not working anymore. It was absolutely broken to the point is was moving around. I took the iPad back and showed Salman (name ?). He told me I gave it to him that way and that if he tried to fix now he would probably break the screen and then I would have to buy another one. If I gave it to you broken, then why wouldn't you call me and tell me I needed it fixed too?? Because it wasn't broken. Anyway, he pointed out that there was a home button icon thingy on the screen that could be used instead. Of course he knew that was there because he put it on there. That is the only way the iPad could be used at that point. I knew there was no winning in this situation and just left. Of course never went back and never will. read more

PHONE SAVER!!! 5 stars and then some! Last night got the white screen of death on my Iphone 7 plus.. tried everything that was suggested online, Apple store, rice, and Youtube guides. After attempting to DYI, I gave in and called around. Another business next to Custom Cases Phone Repair suggested them, so I called, set an appt, and went in within the next hour. Can I just say..."WOW, WOW!" Amazing communication, great customer services, place was clean, and fast service. The owner worked on my phone, and it was done in less than 20 minutes. Opened phone, changed screen, and NO MORE WHITE SCREEN OF DEATH! Phone was in perfect working order. He even threw in a screen protector for me and installed. (perfectly done too!) Short version: Do NOT use this place! This is not the Custom Cases that we all know and love for phone repairs. If you've been here in the past, go to Salmaan Phone Repairs in Rocklin (he was the amazing tech that used to work here). Long version: They are under new ownership and Salmaan no longer works for them. Salmaan worked here for 5 years and built that client base. I've been recommending this place for years due to his great service. I was unaware that the new owner let him go and brought an iPhone in for screen repair. When we got there, the technician had to be called in, we thought no big deal and waited due to having great service in the past. He quoted us 2.5 hours.. The screen was repaired and when we returned, we wait 20 minutes for some other guy to call the tech back in just so we can see the device and pay. It was very odd. He hands us back the device and clearly looks ashamed of the work he's done. The screen is popping up and says "you have a swollen battery" there's nothing I can do and continues to charge us $250 before taxes. We then take our device to Batteries Plus, unfortunately, they are on back order for the battery we need and recommend Salmaan. They say "the old tech from Custom Cases moved locations." We speed over to Salmaan who quoted us less than Batteries Plus and opens up the device to find that there was a perfectly fine battery with shards of glass from the previous screen still under the new screen. Further, he finds that plates and screws that were taken out of the phone were never put back in. Salmaan fixed the whole device in about 5 minutes and didn't want any compensation in return. ULTIMATELY, this place has gone downhill and is under new ownership. If you've had great service in the past, go to Salmaan Phone Repair in Rocklin he is definitely the one that provided the great service you remember. read more

Had my Iphone X screen replaced on June 5. Was sold on the Upgraded LCD screen for $180. Had issues every since with phone overheating and then it shut down completely with a solid purple line down the middle. I took it in for his 90 day warranty, (July 20)and was met with immediate opposition. He told me LCD was out and wasnt covered, however the LcD is what we had to replace prior. So then he put a new screen on and claimed it didnt work, told me the phone was fried. Basically lied to my face to prevent himself from having to provide his warranty he offers. Took the phone to CPR up the road, magically they fixed the phone. Remedy: a new screen. Stay away, they use cheap, chinese products and charge a premium. They dint stand behind their warranty and insult you if you argue. Take your businesses to CPR off Douglas and sace yourself the time, headache and potential issue of losing valuable photos or data that doesn't back up. You can contact me all you want, doesnt change the fact i spend $180 with you, and had to spend $225 for a proper remedy. Refund my initial purchase, id be glad to provide you the work order from CPR. Response: jay there is a common theme here, you doing your customers wrong, and then attacking them based on their reviews. 150, 180, whatever it maybe, your product caused my phone to loop. You hooked in a new screen, yet never showed me it wouldnt work. CPR did the same and worked fine. Buy quality products, and take care id your customers. Dont try and guilt me for writing a review. 2 people I refereed (as the speed of your service is better than anyones) are having the same issues, and are going to CPR tomorrow. read more
