He took the window back to his shop to install a new piece of glass, putting in the special gas between the panes that helps with insulation & energy efficiency. It takes about 6-8 weeks once you order. We had problems with our install on 2 of the trips. The second install the guy left caulk in 2 spots on our hardwood floor. We never called about this because we are planning to resand them. This is very careless on his part because he did have tarps down. The 3rd install the guy who put one of the octagons in never leveled the window. So as they were ready to leave and my husband checked the work it was obviously off center without even placing a level. The guy fixed it before he left. Now that the work is done, we are happy. Windows are beautiful. Just make sure to check everything over before they leave.

A few said they couldn't do it at all because of the design, a few said that I would have to bring it to them (which I have no way of doing), and a few quoted prices that were just too high. Abdullah responded to my request very quickly, gave me a good price that included pickup and delivery, and was able to schedule me within a day. The installer, Alan, showed up on time and took the mirror down the elevator by himself, fixed it within a few hours, and then returned it the same day and helped put it back in the slide. It made the most sense based on the number of blocks that needed repair and the condition of some other blocks. Bill gave a quick and very reasonable estimate for the work to be done. He was upfront about the timeline and was very flexible in scheduling. On the day of the work, the crew sent out was very professional and on time. (A few minutes earlier actually, and that's ok!).
