Mike and Innovative Garage are a class act. Mike is the king of garages. Our cable cut loose on a frigid Saturday afternoon. I grabbed the phone at 3 p.m. and Mike was there by 4. It was to be 20 below zero. He came out, replaced the cables and did a tune up on the door and railings. Fast, efficient, and provided a perfect service. Mike is personable, explained everything and charged a fair price. Very thankful for his speed getting out to us so quickly. I am happy to endorse Mike and his company. I used them twice the first time an adjustment was done well and the tech lubricated and checked operation so I was pleased. I then had them do an install at a second location and it was done in a acceptable way but hurried, the cabling was done without attention to detail and a requested return call to adjust was met with insulting attitude by the owner therefore I would not recommend spending your money with them go where they take care of you and you have more than a taillight warranty read more

Because we are elderly, we bought 5 garage door openers from Innovative Garage Door so our family could access our house in case of an emergence. Several would not work. A representative from innovative Garage came to our home and synced the openers which we were unable to do and charged us a $169.00 service charge! We were not advised of this charge before they came. They really took advantage of us and our 84 years of age! Shame! read more

I called them today because my garage door was coming down about 12 inches, stopping and going back up. I called them to come out to fix it and the woman on the phone explained to me how to do it. Just wipe the sensors clean. It worked perfectly. She could have easily sent someone out and charged me and I would have never known the difference. We also used them several years ago when the spring on the door broke. They were fast at getting out here to fix it and reasonably priced. Highly recommend them! read more

They never returned my calls to come fix it and when I left a poor review, the owner actually had the unmitigated gall to try and blame their own mistake on me!! SO unprofessional. 6-7-19 One of two springs snapped; Called on a Friday morning, Ed came out early afternoon. Got us up and running, and gave honest estimate to replace 53 year-old garage door, and 25 year-old operator. Wouldn't make sense to put any more repairs into very old door and operator! Working with office staff on getting replacements for above items. Would definitely recommend them for quality craftsmanship and easy to understand explanation, Update 7-17-19: Andy and Jacob just finished installing our new insulated garage door with WiFi remote opener. Those guys worked their tails off for over four hours removing the old door and opener, and put in our new door and opener. They did great work, and were very thorough explaining the functions of the remotes and how to access instructions for WiFi. We supplied them with cold water so they wouldn't dehydrate in the oppressive 100 degree heat index day! We are pleased with the sales and service, and would highly recommend them for repairs or replacement of a garage door and opener! read more

I want to write a review for you all since that was absolutely superb service... Mike, you are the man and thanks again for bringing Andy over who was like the garage Magician. My Father, who is the head of his condo association spoke very highly on the many times he has called them since everyone has had great things to say about the company he has spoke to too. Andy literally made it close all the way too and it has never closed to the left side 100% since we bought the place less than 6 months ago as well as just gave us issues once this cold front came in. My girlfriend was so happy and you can tell that Andy really cared about that we were scared about the new cats we adopted yesterday only having one door going to the garage that wouldn't shut until he fixed it. Garage door broke & wasn't shutting properly (b/c I backed into it leaving the garage as it hadn't opened up all the way and it then was bowed at the bottom panel). Had Ed from the company & he was super nice and did a temporary fix so I was happy about his honesty as he didn't tell me I needed a whole new system. I learned that my very outdated system is not safe as it does not have sensors and the door could crush what or whoever is in the way. Ed shared different price point options with new systems I could buy either elsewhere (i.e. Home Depot) and they can install or I buy everything from them and they include life time warranties on certain things. * Just found out this is who my uncle used in the past & he was happy with them. I am very happy with today's service with Innovative Garage Door. Mike, the owner, was friendly and he knew his stuff. His price was not only fair and honest, but the serviceman was excellent as well. The day before, I called several other garage door repair companies, and they all gave much high prices. Innovative came in with a price that was around $400, but I was quoted the following prices by other companies: $570, $750, and $1,200. Representative gave me a price to install new garage door I called them a 2 weeks later to schedule the job I have been told that is 5 weeks lead time I was ok with that. They told me that they will email me a documents to sign. They never did. Did your garage door stop working? Call these guys. Now. I placed a phone call after a really bad experience trying to get a hold of Sears. The operator was apologetic that it would take an hour to get someone out to my house same day on a Sunday; I was thrilled that it wouldn't take a week! The repairman was super professional, upgraded my torsion springs at no cost, work was done in less than an hour, and the price wasn't too bad. I'm sure I could have saved money if I'd had the work done on a weekday, but the door didn't break on a weekday. read more

Mike installed my Hormaan silent drive a number of years ago... Of course on one of the coldest days of the year the door wouldn't close. We had to release the emergency latch to close the door. I called him on a Saturday and he promptly called back. After giving him the symptoms of our problem over the phone we decided to use FaceTime so he could see our drive remotely. We have very very old garage door, 50 yr old made of wood. So it is bad when we had the springs broken down as I searched bunches of service they all came up with one solution which is to completely have a new door as they don't have such a old spring ( maybe a new door can earn them more money instead of just fixing). But I have a friend who is specialized in this area and suggested keeping the wooden door as it is more durable than the steel one except that it is more money saving. I finally was referred in Nextdoor Innovative and they sent me a tech Ed who is a specialist in this area and he fixed it and even told the truth that the door should be kept if possible. Also they have standard service process like they are always giving you a call when the tech is in the way, they have service team separated from new door team which make the system working more reasonable instead of always persuading you changing a door. So they are good and I will definitely keep them for my future use. read more

They came out the next day. Gave me a 4 hour window, and called me when they were less than 20 minutes away. But after finding out that all I needed was two cables to fix my garage door and the minimum price was $149, +$20 for the cables! It only took 10-15 minutes to do the job! WOW, that is more costly than a plumber... last time I used a plumber, it was $75 for the first 15 minutes, and ~ $35 for each 15 minutes thereafter! I could see those costs if I used their 24 hour services! The other thing was that they had a fish on their paper... really! So you are Christian and this is how you charge people? And NO, they did not tell me this when I called, or they returned my call! read more

Not sure what everyone's bad reviews are about because so far Innovative has been great for us... We called Innovative for my Mother-in-law's garage door issues to find out the cost of replacing a door and fix an issue with another garage door. Ivette emailed a brochure right away. I called the next day to schedule an estimator/service man to come out to give us a quote on both. Margie scheduled me in for the following day with a window of 8am to 10am. Margie called at 8:10 am informing me that Scott was on his way. Scott arrived at 8:30am, discussed the pros & cons of 3 different types of garage doors and looked at the other garage door giving my mother-in-law problems. Scott wrote up a proposal, gave me a brochure and was done by 9:00 am. I plan on calling Innovative back on Monday to schedule the service & garage door replacement. So far so good, as far as I'm concerned as everyone was punctual, pleasant and informative. read more

I needed a new garage door opener installed and wanted to get ahead of the snow storm. I made a few calls and took the lower bid, big mistake. In the end I went back to Innovative, Marge was very helpful and honest with a quote and just what was included. Mike came out and completed the work in a timely fashion, and even tuned up the garage door, no extra charge. I will be recommending Innovative to all my neighbors. Worst experience I have had with a small business. I like to support local businesses . In this case I understand why the owner/installer does his own poorly made videos of his work. There is a distinct lack of professionalism that pervades the entire company. I was offered two different appointment times to get an estimate. Both times the owner did not come nor was there a phone call to explain. I called their office after I stayed home late missing work to find out that he forgot. Instead he was taking his child to school. I, also had to take my son to school, but delayed that to keep the appointment. I understand things happen, and was rescheduled for Saturday. I waited over an hour based on the window of time offered. No one called me, but I then called the office and was told he would not be coming. The office offered to reschedule, but I asked to speak to the owner/estimator and she hung up on me. The initial quote without measurements from the office seemed on the low side. I now understand why. There is poor to no follow up. There is no interest in having a new customer or being civil to customers. I have contracted out and priced many services with varying levels of complexity. This by far has been the WORST experience. read more

I had Innovative come out for a routine garage tune up after the winter. The technician was very nice, did his thing, charged me $140, and left. The garage was working perfectly well before. After about a day, my garage door would no longer open. I noticed that one of the springs were broken and the other one was too tight. When I called them again, they want to charge me another $140, just for coming out to check whats wrong and another $200+ to replace one spring, when it should have been their responsibility to make sure everything was up to par. I would highly suggest avoiding these guys unless you want to pay to have your garage door broken and spend hundreds more to have it fixed. read more

My Garage door spring broke on a Friday evening and I had urgent errands to run - so did not get a chance to shop around. Called Innovative and they showed up in less than half hour. The work done was quick but boy did they charge me. I was told that this was off the regular hours (7pm on Friday) so I had to cough up nearly $500 for one spring replacement. Quickly became a laughing stock among my friends when I mentioned this. I can understand charging me a bit more for out of hours work - but this was a rip off. Will never call them again. read more

I had two doors done by Innovative over the past several years. The first as a replacement and the second in a new build. Both jobs were done with 100% satisfaction. And, both jobs had high quality doors that had no price difference compared to a big-box store. The first job required the installation to accommodate the home's 50 years worth of settling and a bit of a pitched sideways floor. Fantastic job, well fitted, and I noticed a much better insulation to the garage. The next door was in a new build where the GC was reluctant not to use his regular guy, but he was impressed with the final job. The job was done perfectly and Innovative worked within the builder's schedule. Other subs complimented the job. A garage door opener was also installed.
