After each meeting, we kept coming back to Pelican because of the fact that they manufactured their own cabinets and the impressive quality of those cabinets. Eventually we chose to sign with Pelican and now that the project is over, we undoubtedly chose correctly. During the design phase, Jack was extremely helpful and had great suggestions on how to refine our design to fit the needs of our space while also being happy to incorporate our ideas. Once construction started, our Project Manager Chris took over and ran everything perfectly. His constant communication and attention to detail trickled down to the construction team. There is no doubt the project was a success largely because of Chris. The various construction team throughout the project were all extremely nice, clean, and considerate. Our primary cabinet installer Mauricio deserves a special call out. His installation and carpentry was perfect. The countertop fabricator, Jose, was also incredible. Overall we could not be more thrilled and can say the project turned out perfect. We would be happy to work with them again on other projects.

Greg Baird, Master Designer, came out to discuss my proposed layout. He actually talked me out of installing additional cabinets because he had the foresight that it would be too cramped and crowded. MTD Warranty is basically a scam. Parts are guaranteed 5 years but labor covered for only 1 year…read more Our kitchen cabinets and drawers were installed a little over a year ago. Now one of drawers is dropping onto the next drawer below creating friction when opened or closed. Upon my inspection I found that the left side hardware is loose because the particle board it's attached to is crumbling. Since we are past the one year warranty, we were told that labor to repair this problem would be a minimum of $450. Before this we had several other problems but they were covered under warranty. Definitely cannot recommend this company for many reasons. Message me if you want to hear the other issues.

Kitchen cabinets (slim shaker) came out great and the hardware are working great. 1 star off for the overall communication with the company and our designer. They switched our designer from the North Hollywood office to Anaheim suddenly and it was clear they did not communicate with each other. The designer Catherine knew what she was doing measurement wise but was pretty snobby and had attitude the whole time. Some of the doors were missing on the initial delivery, and the glass doors got delayed 2 times with incorrect deliveries which delayed our whole kitchen finish by about a month. Don't get glass doors. Several handles were damaged on install but they did fix it after I pointed it out. Counter install went fine and took 10 days to arrive. They did try to do us right in the end and the final kitchen was finally finished beautifully but there were definitely frustrating moments throughout the process.

It was a shiplap wall with a 10' shelf. Although a smaller project he tackled it in the same way he does every job - with precision to detail on every aspect. Our last project was a 10' wall with lower cabinets as well as 2' upper cabinets on the left and right leaving area in the middle to accommodate a large tv. Steve is a true craftsman that is proficient in his skills and gives 100% to each job. We highly recommend Steve.

With this guy, his attention to detail and quality of workmanship are top notch. He had to figure out how to how to make the six tall shelf sections (12-1/2' high sloping down to 8') follow an unevenly sloping ceiling while dealing with a wall surface (13-1/2' long) that was not necessarily flat or square. But he did it, and from the pictures you can see that he did it with beauty and style! If you have an easy or difficult job, Steve will make sure it's done well and done right. We had 2 full cabinets replaced and the rest refaced, with new tile backsplash and granite countertops. First, we were told by the General manager, Ernie, that what makes their company different is that they replace the full face frames when refacing the cabinets, instead of just putting the new wood over the top of the old. When Art came out to do the work, he wasn't going to replace the face frames! When the owner, Jose, came out at my insistence, he said -"We don't usually do it that way, but we will do it that way for you." WHAT?!?!? That was Ernie's main selling feature to us! And so it began. The tile guy, Dave, had his assistant install the tile while he worked on the appliances. I think it was so they could get out of there in a day instead of the 2-3 days we were told the work would take. I don't really have a problem with that- except the tile was all uneven! We had to insist it be redone. Dave said the could just take out the uneven tiles- which even I knew wasn't going to work, and most of it was uneven! So we had to buy more tile and they had to tear the entire thing out and start over, including the drywall!! The final result was fine, although Dave told us to seal it ourselves in a few days- really?!? He should have come back and finished the job properly. We also had to call him out to fix a leak under the sink!! That's right- a leak! Which is what started this whole mess!!!When we told Jose about all of the problem, all we got was a 'sorry' as he waited for his final check. We're just glad it's over and hope we never have to see them again. I will say that the granite guy did an amazing job. The couple who did the staining and sealing of the cabinets also did a great job and were very helpful in covering up some bad spots in the wood that Art left. Also, for you ladies out there, make sure you have a man ready to make the phone calls and handle any issues for you! They pretty much ignored anything I said unless my husband called them about it! So- if you use this company because of the low price- be prepared to keep an eye on things and have an exercise in patience!!!!
