Had to return to have the gel polish sanded down due to the bumpy surface, causing the red polish to turn pink. And I don't wear pink.

This wasn't enjoyable at all. First and foremost I just wanted a pedicure, so I pulled into the first nail salon I saw didn't think nothing of it, how bad could they be right? I walk in no greeting just "what you want" (rude), tell them I want a pedicure, there was no line so they took me right in. The nail tech is getting the water ready for me and I'm getting excited I needed this. I go to put my feet in the water and the water is cold. I'm asked how the water is and I say cold, can it be made hot. She puts it on hot for literally 5 seconds and keeps the water cold this pissed me all the way off. Okay moving on the chair works that's a good thing, so let me relax and just go with the flow. This lady was supposed to be giving me a massage, but was just running her hand down my foot, no pressure, no effort no nothing. I had enough at this point I just want to run away and not come back. The only and I mean only good thing about this experience was she actually did a good job painting my toes, failed with everything else. Don't go here! read more

My mother and I went here together last weekend, and even though there's money left on the gift certificate I will never return. The young woman doing my nails had her phone standing up and was face timing someone the entire time. She had her airpods in and talked to him instead of me, her customer. At one point she moved the phone over so he could see me more... rude and embarrassing. Now for the actual work itself... she cut me twice with the drill, cut a cuticle too short, made me bleed.. she did not cover the whole nail bed with polish. I already look like I need a fill.. she did not evenly coat the nails. They are bumpy and have bubble holes in them.. lastly, she did not allow the layers of gel to cure properly between layers. V gave amazing customer service but what I asked for mad what I got was not good they changed nail techs in the middle of my set which would not have been a problem but the man that does pedicures finished as the tech scheduled three days prior switched in the middle because another client came in and my nails where coming out wrong. Went here for convenient location one week ago to the day. I had the woman sitting by the register and she was on the phone 80% of the time and seemed annoyed when I interrupted her phone call to instruct her that the nails were too long. They weren't shaped the way I asked and were still too long and her customer service was terrible and here I am today, one week later with two missing nails because they have all lifted. I will give it one more chance and then I'm out. Fortunately it seems to be a different girl by the register. We shall see... Follow up... Waited a half hour to have my nails fixed only to have them tell me to go sit at one of the seats and wait more only for them to take a pair of girls for pedicures before me... will not be returning... Another follow-up... Ended up at Kim's Nails (also on Killingly) less than a mile down the street- they corrected all the issues, were sooo friendly and sweet and I will definitely be returning- if you are looking for an alternate salon, give them a try!! read more

I have been coming here for many years for pedicures. Massage chairs always work and they are very cleanly. Especially now during the pandemic. Remember to always bring cash to tip. They accept cards but the tip must be made in cash. I usually get a spa gel pedicure. The hot towel feels so great! The man (I forgot his name) that works there gives great foot massages while he does the pedicure. Jenny is great at scrubbing if you really need someone to get in there. Everyone else is average but no complaints. read more

Originally I gave this place 5 stars in an effort to get 30% off. Now, about a week later, with my manicure looking like trash I needed to make an edit. My girl was very nice and professional and I enjoyed her, but the shellac most certainly should have lasted more than a week. My pedi was good and my toes still look good. read more

I've been to this place three times. The first time, I got a manicure with the OPI Axxium gel nail polish and it was great. The polish lasted about 2.5 weeks, and my nails were shaped beautifully. The second time I went I get a re-do of the same manicure, and the paint job was horrible. The third (and what will be my last time going there) I decided to go with gel nails. The girl proceeded to prep my nails for acrylics and right as she got the acrylic powder out I said "No, I want gels" and she said "Oh yeah I knew that" and then put the gel on. I'm not convinced my nails were prepped properly as it's been less than a week and EACH nail has chipped (not just a paint chip, literally the gel is falling off). Of course, they had no qualms charging me $50 for the full set. I'm debating calling them up, but I know that more than likely I will not reimbursed and they will simply offer to re-do them. At this point, I'm so sick of this place doing a shoddy job. It's just not worth it. read more

So I went in for a French pedi and I was very disappointed. She was super quick and RUSHED through my nails. There was only one person next to me so it wasn't packed. I asked if she could please do a light pink under the French and she said no that she couldn't, I tried to ask her again nicely and she said no! I would have to pay more!! And I'll also add, the owner provides the worst quality work out of all the girls there. The more people they can get in & out their chairs is all that they care about. I got a full set 9 days ago and they all started lifting a few days ago. On top of 2 of my nails being crooked and 1 being way shorter than the rest. I decided to just take them all off. I went in for a pink and white.. the lady completely ignored the length I wanted for my nails & cut it to what "she thought would look good" with a pink and white. I've been looking for a new nail salon for a very long time and I discovered this one last Saturday since its 2 minutes away from my house. I went in at 6pm and my nails were done by 6:38pm. I didn't have to sit around and wait which was amazing. The gentleman who did my nails did such a great job making sure he did not ruin my nails while removing the gel nail polish base and coat. Horrible customer service. I have been going to this shop for 2 years now (as I found one technician I connected with after having several complaints about others). When addressing issues I had with my pedicure/ nail service, I would consistently receive lash back and bad attitudes which would be upsetting bc all I would need was for the matter to be solved. The owner went as far as huffing and puffing when I asked her to touch up a nail she missed. Very unwelcoming space ESPECIALLY for black women. I go to this nail salon because of convince..and in the past the very done decent work. The 1 very big issue is customer service..it is one of the WORST!! THE woman that sits by the register is very rude and is always on her phone..either that or speaking Vietnamese to her contact worker..rude@! When your client speak English..speak English!!! I would give this place no stars if I could. Everyone is very rude. They don't even talk to you they just talk to each other in their own language. I've spent a ton of money here, I was a loyal customer until I got a bad infection from a pedicure. I stopped going back after that. A year later I gave it another try and again, another terrible infection in my toe. They do not clean their instruments and they pull off too much skin. I have been going to Pedispa for at least 5 years now and I love it!! They are great! The manicures last and their pedicures are the best. They do not rush you out in 20 min. They massage your legs for a while. Everytime I have gotten a pedi there is was always almost an hr. They are so thorough and the workers are great. They actually interact with you and get to know you. I would recommend it to anyone. A mani and pedi for $35. Can't beat that!!! read more

So 01/16/16, I went to get a gel manicure like I usually do, and was told I was not allowed to get my nails done here any longer because I was being rude at my last visit. I would like to say customer (PAYING CUSTOMER) is always right! at my last visit I had a male nail tech which was causing me pain while he was doing my toes he was highly aggressive, so in a politely way i had asked him to please stop which he did not and just continued to ignore me. and said something in his foreign language so I said something back in mines and felt completely uncomfortable during my experience there and was told to leave on Saturday morning because i was being rude and can't prove the man was being rude first.
