lol! What a tragic excuse for a store. No way this is in business much longer. Lots of orcs working there. Guess they were too involved with the fandom and not the business portion of the establishment. Some green/purple haired anime girl helped me. Was very rude from the beginning because I wanted a certain game of thrones sword. Was super nice to her as well and there was a "sale" tag on it that no other sword had. Asked her to honor it and she was like "it is the box number" in an evil lord valdamore type voice. I felt the sin oozing out of her, and almost had to engage my new weapon to cleanse the establishment in defense of her evilness. Luckily, I was able to escape. I let her know that I would be writing them a crap review as well so here we are. Stick to online. Swords are the quality of the poop I took this morning. The customer service is of the same level. The owner is the same level, except more like fiery diarrhea. Not good people here and a way below average establishment with stupid prices and bad quality items. Hopefully this saves you the trouble before it begins. Stay safe y'all. Seems like everyone has been doing the lords work based on the 2.3/5 stars already given to this trash establishment that should go out of business any month now. I am writing this review for the Chandler fashion center store. This place is horrible! Do not buy anything from there and don't fall for their "Lifetime warranty and free repair"! This is complete BS! I left a knife for a repair just after a few months after i bought it. I left the knife on April 29th. On May 29th I went to check out if it was repaired. The knife was seating on the table were it was left a month earlier. It was not even picked by the owner of the store for repair! The young woman who works there is very disrespectful and is annoyed by the fact that you interrupt her phone call with questions or request! I will not say her name now, but she is clearly not happy to work there. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! The other store in Mesa is a different story, people who work there are welcoming and very nice, but this store is a definitely NO-GO! I wish there was a way to leave 0 stars! read more

I think it's a little silly that they will sell a 12 year old a huge pocket knife and some other items that later, she regretted buying but couldn't take back. They were very unhelpful when asked about their return policy. My 13 year old son was able to purchase a 4 foot sword & a knife from this store at 2:30 today. Went back before 5 with receipts and was told there are no refunds, only store credit. Our son obviously made bad choices. The store is also in the wrong and should not be selling weapons to minors. He worked hard for the $100 he spent in this store. There are no signs by the swords. Only one sign by the register stating that there are no refunds, only store credit within 7 days. Store worker flat out said, sorry your kid bought something you don't like. Not my problem. No refunds. The store is also not willing to provide anything stating you have store credit. How does that work? Disappointed in my son & the fact that this store that is selling to minors to pay their mall rent. Do better! I should also mention the toddler play area for the mall is just 50-60 feet away from the store that sells weapons to anyone with cash. read more

I found out this store sells knives to minors. I was present in the store a few times where the staff sold broken knives to minors. I don't know but this doesn't seem legal. I went to return a knife I bought and when it was first purchased I was told there was a 30 day return policy. No sign was present in the store with a 7 day return policy. They sold me a broken knife and I cannot return it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN! read more

Cutting edge is a great place to get your weapons. I first saw this place when I was walking around and decided to take a look. I was amazed with the large variety of knives they have and even katanas! I have gone there twice and bought multiple swords and knives from there. The employees are very nice and are informative and know a lot about their weapons. 100% would go back again read more

If this Cutting Edge is ran by the same person/people that own the one inside Arrowhead Mall, then I would highly recommend preparing yourself for terrible service. The Cutting Edge at Arrowhead mall does a horrible job of maintaining proper employee services, for their employees curse freely, sit on the job and are straight up rude to the customers. The two fat girls that work behind the counter called a lady the c word while I was in the store and then called mall security on her to have her removed. Purchased a knife at the Crossroads Gun show July 2021 and was impressed in addition I was told if needed service or sharpening Cutting Edge would service. Found blade on unit I purchased was a bit dull. Sent knife to Cutting Edge back in October 2021 vis certified mail and received confirmation from USPS that package was delivered to their locker October 6th. To date have not received my knife back. No return calls from John L and store personnel say product not received. Although I purchase two knives from them I would not purchase anything from the again. read more

I went in on Sunday last week to take my cutting edge switch blade in to get serviced. The staff was very rude to me and told me I'd have to come back in a month. Also told me That the owner wouldn't service my knife even though when I purchased it they told me there was a life time warranty and that I could take it in any time to get sharpened and serviced. The staff behind the counter was very rude and did not want to help me. I paid $100 for this knife it's already malfunctioning. This company straight up lied to me. If I had known this the service I was getting I would've just bought a Kershaw knife and been done with it. Extremely unprofessional and cutthroat selling tactics. I came in with my boyfriend to get a taser for a friend, we asked a few questions about them to determine which one to purchase, and the two ladies behind the counter were extremely rude and nasty to us. When we began to ask questions one of the girls rolled her eyes at us and spoke in a tone that showed she didn't care, and she definitely didn't want us to be there. After a few more questions I think they realized we were going to in fact make a purchase ( even though we shouldn't have at this point) and changed their attitude, they then began to bicker back and forth unprofessionally to each other and just acted very rude all together. Bought a $16 butterfly knife here. I wasn't told there was no warrenty on the knife. When I got it, it was very stiff, but the employee who was there gave me a tool to loosen it up. The next day I pulled it out and the side with the lock just fell apart. I put it back together and it just fell apart again w more times, the last time having two pieces just become lost. I went in to return it and they said there was no warrenty on it and all they could do was either "try to fix it" which just included super-glueing the damn thing (which they didn't even have one of the pieces that went missing when it fell apart), and I simply could have done that myself. Or they could offer me half the amount it cost of in store credit towards another knife with a warranty. So basically, when you purchase an item from this retailer, it's your problem if they make the mistake to not tell you you're purchasing a non-warranted product. So I just left the knife there, I mean what's the point in keeping a broken ass knife? I would not recommend buying anything from here. Also I looked at a few responses from the owner on Google, and he made a very non-professional response to a customer. read more

If I could give them a NEGATIVE rating I wouldn't hesitate to give them a MINUS TEN! Purchased four knives at a gun show. Their card says "LIFETIME WARRANTY AGAINST MANUFACTURING DEFECTS AND FAILURE UNDER REASONABLE USAGE". Sent one of the knives back within one month of purchase and it was received 1/27/2020 with a copy of the warranty card CLEARLY with an address and email written on the card with the $5 requested for repair and return. On 3/17/2020, called to inquire when the knife would be returned and was told "it's on the boss's desk waiting to be mailed". On 6/18/2020, called to inquire again and was told "it's still sitting on the boss's desk". 6/23/2020, pick it up and it was not repaired. When called was informed "that portion of the knife is not repairable". NO NOTIFICATION was received in over 5 months saying that this knife would not be repaired! If it isn't repairable WHY DO YOU OFFER A LIFETIME WARRANTY????!!!!! REPLACE the knife if you won't REPAIR it!!!! TERRIBLE customer service on the phone (if you're able to even get someone on the phone!!!) and rude service in the store. Bottom line is that when the knives were purchased the LIFETIME WARRANTY is WORTHLESS! Honor your word. read more

I dropped off a knife to be sharpened since they were close to me. The place is disorganized, cluttered, and dirty with piles of junk stacked behind the counter. The employee was sitting on the counter and couldn't find the forms to give me a receipt. The second time I went in the place was still a mess and a different employee was just standing around and told me it would be ready by the next day. Two days later I returned to find a non-employee sitting on the floor behind the counter eating a sandwich. The knife still hadn't been touched after EIGHT days! Avoid this place at all costs if you want anything approaching service. I'm not sure how they stay in business. read more

I purchased a Cutting Edge assisted opening knife at a gun show. The vendor said it was fully warrantied and if there was a problem take it to the Cutting Edge store at Superstition Springs mall in Mesa. So that's where I took it when it stopped working. I walked in with a smile and told my problem to the lady behind the counter. Barbara said that yes, an entire shipment of knives had come in with defective spring assemblies. The store had been supplied with replacement spring assemblies and it took Barbara only a couple of minutes to replace the assembly in my knife. Barbara was very bright and cheerful throughout. While she worked, I noted the store had many swords, Katana's, long knives, even axes on open display with "Do Not Touch" signs prominent. Barbara said that's were some of the bad reviews probably come from as many people can't resist handling these expensive sharp things and she must admonish them not to. Because Barbara's fast cheerful service exceeded my expectations, five stars. read more
