They built a travertine patio in the backyard, hardscaped side yards with pavers and rocks, added a mulch bed to my side yard, and rebuilt a retaining wall. The project manager (Amanda) and owner (Giancarlo) were both professional, helpful and available throughout the entire process. They were also able to accommodate additional projects at the last minute, including adding a French drain system to one of the side yards. Everyone involved was committed to making us 100% happy with the end product, whether that meant changing out chipped travertine tiles, recommending different design options, or making several trips to the worksite to plan out project details and ensure everything was 100% up to par. Instead of trying to fix a faulty landscaping job, Giancarlo Medrano, responded with homophobic and profanity laced texts detailing how he would confront me, has a gun and threatened to send "his people" over. He also proceeded to label the house that he worked on (a rental property that I manage) as "cheap" and then goes on to brag about his rental property. He seemed so extremely proud about his financed house. Anyway, I had blocked his phone number after the incident but could see more of his texts through my old Apple ID. In these texts, he went from playing Mister Tough Guy to the victim and claimed that I had been the one who harassed and threatened to kill him and claims to have made police and FBI reports. A complete 180 and a testament to his character. What a quality guy. If you run into any problems with his work, be prepared for a load of excuses and insults. Summary of communications via phone calls and texts: *Half year of receiving the run-around (ie. Too busy, out of town, admin forgot to get back to me, blamed others, etc.) to fix the flowerbeds and add the missing drain holes *After many months passed thinking that Giancarlo was working to schedule in a fix, he started blaming the situation on his cousin. He then suggested that I pay a small amount, to which I found agreeable, for the flowerbeds to be fixed. Now he claims that I wanted a free fix... go figure. *I warned Giancarlo about the consequences for not taking ownership of this situation. Gave plenty of opportunities to fix before posting a review that seemed to upset him. *Giancarlo continues to claim that I own the home despite me explaining over the phone that I wasn't the owner and that I just there to help manage the property. *Giancarlo threaten to sue me. I gave him my lawyer's contact and I have yet to receive any contact attempts. *Giancarlo claims that I would be contacted by the police and FBI. I have yet to receive any contact attempts. In conclusion, I can't say that I would recommend doing business with an egotistical owner who tries to gip you at every corner, changes stories and takes no responsibility. Would not recommend Copper Tree Roofing & Construction. They came out and looked at replacing my…read moreroof on a rental property I own that was damaged by hail in 2019. They sent me an estimate which I thought was a little high. Then they said they needed $11,000 down as a deposit! I have had two other roofs replaced on other property and both times not a dime was requested as a deposit. I spoke with several people in the business and they said they have never heard of a company asking that much for a deposit and warned me against doing business with them. To make matters worse, I had another roofer go over to give me an estimate and he sent me back a photo of Copper Tree's yard sign they had placed in my front yard. I had never authorized them to put their sign in my yard and I was pretty upset to say the least. I had told them I was not going to use them to replace my roof and yet they put their sign in my yard because they new I did not live at the property and probably wouldn't know about it - a very sneaky and underhanded thing to do. So I called owner Jeff and told him to go over to my house the same day and remove his unauthorized yard sign. He started arguing with me and said he would not remove it and became very belligerent with me. He was being vindictive because I had told them I was not going to use his company to replace the roof. Be aware that Texas is one of the few states that do not require roofers to be licensed so you really have to be careful when hiring a roofer in Texas. And really be suspicious when they ask for a large deposit up front (like $11k). Attached is the photo of their sign in my front yard they put without my permission or knowledge and owner Jeff is now refusing to remove.

It only took them a couple days to come out. They were there promptly at 7:45 AM. They put five lines into the bedrock around the corner of my house. They were done before noon. It looked like they never came. We were never told that. I do know how things work so don't try to patronize me. we have signed forms that the work is done after every step. You are adding in a new form and trying to get us to sign it. There is no "going to bat for us". My contract was not with the concrete company it was with NTX/NTXI. You told me at the beginning that the patio wall would be $2500. Then when it came time for us to get the refund you tried to say it would only be $1800. we argued back and fourth with you about it. It wasn't until i looked back at my emails and found where you had stated what the price of the wall was originally that you finally agreed to it yet still haven't given it to us. Obviously I'm not the only one with these complaints so please tell me who is being untruthful?
