I needed a few things fixed on my RV which is still under warranty. They came to my RV, found the problem, fixed it. I paid the deductible and they worked with warrant company so that everything went smoothly. The repair men we great, on time and seemed quite knowledgeable. I ordered a sail switch for my furnance, which I only had the item number for at the time. The lady cross referenced the item number to the model number which was correct. When the switch came in, I told them I didn't think it looked right, and that I would let them know if it was indeed wrong. I was aware of the no return on electrical parts, but I am not at fault for them ordering, or me getting the WRONG SWITCH. I talked to these people 3 different times about the switch being wrong, and would have been perfectly happy had they just refunded me the difference in the cost of the switch and got me the right one. I don't think the counter lady ordered the wrong part, I think it is the manufacturers fault, and they wont work with me. I'm normally not the person to complain over a $13 difference in cost, but I am writing this review out of principle! These people are beyond rude and think they are always right. read more

Cutting Edge RV Service - RV Repair Near Me - Baytown, Texas

Cutting Edge charged $165 dollars for a $2 circuit breaker. Okay, but it didn't fix the issue. The tech is rude and borderline incompetent. They rig repairs rather than do them right and when they don't work they want to charge another full fee. A simple stabilizer jack repair didn't work after a short drive fron Baytown to Galveston. Imagine our frustration when setting up at a park right after the supposed repair only to have it not work. read more

I'm writing this review on my husband's behalf. He has went to Cutting Edge RV 3 times and each time the front desk employees seem as if they're bothered when he asks for assistance and information when he has wanted to make a purchase. He did make a purchase the first 2 visits because he figured everyone has bad days and don't want to deal with the public but this 3rd visit when they acted like he was bothering them, he just walked out He then went to Channelview Supply and will continue to do so for future purchases. We live close to Cutting Edge and want to support local businesses, it's unfortunate I felt like I'm bothering them. read more

Broke down on I-10 today and contacted Cutting Edge - Lee and his staff were incredibly helpful! They put us first and got a new alternator installed so that we are able to hit the road in the morning. The mechanic Debo did lots of hard time consuming work and was able to get it fixed for us. There was nothing fun involved, but they made it a success and were a pleasure to deal with. They shared some delicious popcorn with our son, also! read more

We had major problems with our RV and Fred and JD came out one day and checked our problems and what parts they would need. The furnace was out, the water line froze, the toilet leaked, and other issues. They came back out, and spent almost the entire day. Fred got the extended warranty to pay almost the entire bill. Fred and JD were very personable and did great repairs. We were able to pay our portion on line, and they were very courteous when I called. I hope we have no more issues, but if we do, I'd call them again in a heartbeat! read more

Absolutely no sense of urgency or customer care. Will not begin repair work on trailer or rv before all parts have arrived... when the final piece came in for my rig... THEN they found out some of the parts they had all along were the WRONG parts. So now, yet again, I have to wait for the, hopefully, RIGHT parts to come in before they begin repairs. This waiting time could have been much less if they actually inspected the parts as they receive them, but no, they don't care how long you have to wait. They've had my trailer for 3 months, and still haven't got the parts in order to start repairing. Embarrassing and bad business. My family doesn't just let the camper sit all year and only use it 2 or 3 times, we like to camp often. Thanks to these slackers, I've had to cancel 2 trips, and it looks like it'll be a 3rd. read more

They need to take some lessons on customer service!!!! I understand their no refund policy but in the past two weeks we have spent approximately $500.00 or more. I went in and bought 2 waste value handles (1 plastic, 1 metal) for $12.47, one day later realized they were the wrong handles (there was 1 staple that I could have easily re-stapled and claimed I hadn't opened them, the packaging was not torn what so ever) instead I choice to be honest and say I opened them but quickly realized they were not the ones I needed, they would not exchange them for what I needed, so the ones I needed were $27.31, I ended up spending $39.78! I'm sorry that is ridiculous!! The lady that you have to deal with needs lessons on customer care, I will do my very best to not have to spend another penny in their store!!! He is a liar and unscrupulous business man. Even more upset with Chase credit card company as I have had to obtain attorney to handle the whole mess. My Refrigerator went out and lost all meat in freezer, awning leak, regulator for gas didn't work. Took over 2 months to repair. I was told to call the manufacturer on the refrigerator, really??? Now it's been a month, this time, on an awning replacement, A/C won't come on. Was told someone would come to Houston East RV Resort, Baytown on 09/28/2012 to install awning, yea right! Never happened. Picked up my RV was told everything ready, got home no A/C working. Was told that someone would come to my house today, still nothing. Not a call. Just visited cutting edge rv for the first time because of an issue with my gas hot water heater.. I told the employee what issue I was having (heater will light fine an then go out after 5-10 seconds like the gas is being cut off to it.) I asked a few simple questions to narrow down my problem so they could help me diagnose the issue an I was told that they can't diagnose the problem Without looking at it an their service crew could come out to my place for a $90 service call an $120 an hour plus parts.. I said "ma'am, can I not speak with one of your technicians an they could possibly assist me getting the right parts to fix it myself?" I was flat out told "no, they work in the back an they're out on the back 40 working on trailers right now..." I told the lady thank you for her time an turned around an left. I immediately got in my truck an called channelview supply while still sitting in their parking lot which is 10 minutes further down the road. Within two minutes of being on the phone, they told me the only two possibilities it could be but it would be better if I took "the board" off an brought it to the and they'd be glad to test it. If that was the issue then they had one in stock an if it wasn't they also had the thermal coupler in stock as well... I'm now headed to channelview supply with my parts an I should be back up an running within the next hour.. I had always dealt with channelview supply but since moving to baytown, I decided to give these people a try beings they were closer. I now know it's worth the drive to head over to channelview supply on I-10 an they'll they'll be glad to have your business! read more

I recently had several warranty repairs done on a new Entegra coach. I was referred to Cutting Edge by Entegra's warranty department, and I ended up being very pleased with them. I had several different items that needed repair, and Cutting Edge worked directly with Entegra and the various component manufacturers. The repairs were done very well, and the billing was handled directly with Entegra, so I didn't have to pay a dime out of pocket. I found the people at Cutting Edge to be very knowledgeable and very friendly. When I picked up my coach, they came out with me to make sure I was happy with the repairs. Even though their location is 60 miles from my house, I would certainly use them again for future repairs. read more

Wish I could give this place a no stars!!!! Worst company we have ever worked with. We where told by Brian the service manager that our cost to caulk our trailer would be around $200-$300 and then service lady inside told us "that it would be roughly $400 but if Brian told you that price he would know because he is the service manager." They will refuse to give you an written estimate but when it comes time to pay they'll over charge and say they never told you an amount! We received a call saying our trailer was ready to be picked up and told that it would be $700! After arguing with Brain for 10 min they refuse to admit their wrong and will not release our trailer for anything less than $700, not the price that was told to us by TWO of their employees. Lesson learned, always get a written estimate and never take your business to this company! This company is one of the most un honest companies that we have ever dealt with! Worst customer service ever. Every time you call, they are too busy or not available, but then no one ever calls you Back either. So I had to Just drive up there. The techs that serviced my RV were nice and knowledgeable, but there was an extremely rude lady named "Cindy" who worked in the front. She is some kind of boss, she was rude to me, other customers, and even her techs. She spoke to her tech about me and my issue as if I was not even in the room much less standing right in front of her. I hate being talked over like a child. My repair bill was over $1200, and I felt like a nuisance to them. But another guy that came in while I was there one day wanted to order a $16 faucet, and for some reason, he got Cindy's undivided attention. It really sucks because they are so close to my house, but guess I'll be driving to O'Daniels in Baytown. read more

STAY AWAY!! GO DOWN THE ROAD TO CHANNELVIEW RV INSTEAD!!!! THIS BUSINESS IS RUN BY CROOKS! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!! The one star is only so I can post the review! This business had our trailer for, a very unreasonable, 6 weeks just to work a quote. We called weekly asking if the quote was ready so we could get the work going and get our trailer back. We missed opportunities to camp and to take our trailer to deer camp for bow season. After three weeks they called and asked us where we purchased the trailer because they were having a hard time finding parts. Three more weeks and many phone calls later, we went to get our trailer back and take it somewhere else and they told us we could NOT have our trailer unless we paid them $250 for working on the quote since we were not going to do the work there. We told them they never told us about any fees and we never signed anything stating we would owe them a fee if they didn't do the work and that they took an unreasonable time to just do a quote which is why we were moving it and we didn't feel we owed them anything. They told us they are a small mom and pop business and however long they take is how long they take, they didn't care to do anything in a timely manner to keep the customer happy. They parked their Tahoe in front of our trailer and refused to let us have it until we paid it. We had to call out the Sherriff to get our trailer back. We used to purchase items from the store for our trailer and were happy to do business with a local business if we could but this place is unprofessional and ridiculous. They handled this situation in the most unprofessional manner possible with no regard or care for keeping any of our future business. I will be sure to tell everyone I know how crooked this business is and to go down the road to a more reputable business like Channelview RV, who has fixed our other trailer and two of my in laws trailers and done very good professional work in a timely manner for a fair price. I wanted my husband to use Channelview RV this time as well, but he wanted to give this local business a chance at some business and now we both GREATLY REGRET IT!!!!!!! read more
