    Customer Service is excellent. It is a low stress store with a minimalist style across its offerings in handbags accessories, lounge wear and clothing. Top grade materials are high end. I love the simplicity of their product. I am a huge Cuyana Fan. Cuyana has a cult following of customers seeking a simplicity in life. If you appreciate low stress, high quality "everything is easy , classy, soft, figure forgiving but not formless, and stuff you would constantly pull out of your wardrobe over and over again but wish you would't ... then a Cuyana wardrobe is it.     Always a treat to visit the Cuyana store at Stanford Mall. Female led company that offers limited curated collection of beautifully made leather handbags is what you'll find here. Total eye candy as you enter the store which displayed beautiful bags and clothing. Because some of Cuyana's bags are limited editions you have to grab what you love when you see them. Today, I was looking for a travel tote I have been eyeing that always seemed out of stock every time I check online. Jane went out of her way to track it down for me and disclosed the one I wanted was actually being retired and there were only 2 left. She put the order in for me and graciously waived the shipping to have it delivered to my house. Jane was friendly, approachable and very patient. She definitely took the time to listen and even showed me more bags which I added to my wishlist. She was enthusiastic about their products and shared details of their craftsmanship allowing you to appreciate what the company stands for and the quality of the bags. Because of my experience at this store, I am a forever fan! When you find yourself at the Stanford Mall, stop by and ask for Jane, she'll take good care of you!

    How are you able to emboss with the brand name but unable to accept my money to emboss with my initials?

    I am getting quite frustrated. I want to emboss my crock passport case with my initials. I went into the Palo Alto store and also called the customer service number and got the store rep and the phone rep told me "We can't emboss the crock at this time". When I asked how come I got no clear explanation, instead both reps began repeating themselves like a broken record. If this were true and I cannot pay to have this done, why cannot I a) sign a release in case the item gets damaged or b) how is it you can emboss the inside with your brand name. (See below) Please advise

    Jane Vasquez is the absolute sweetest and most helpful person! She helped us pick out the most lovely pieces and even took photos of my family all together. She went above and beyond to help us! Thank you for your kindness and making our holidays so happy! Nicole also assisted and was so great!

    Monogram!

    Had the best experience at Cuyana! It was my first time at the store and even though I came in right before closing Lynda was so nice and helpful and did not rush me at all! I picked out a few items and even though it was late Jane came through and monogrammed my purchases!! That was the deal breaker! Jane was so sweet and even showed me the intricacies of how they monogram items and tripled checked to make sure I liked the placement! I loved everything I got but experience made it extra fun and memorable. Thank you so much Jane and Lynda!

I was intrigued by them and thought we could use something similar for the empty space above our fireplace at home. I wanted to hang some kind of art other than a painting there, anyway. I did some research online and found similar art work on Etsy. However, I wasn't comfortable ordering online for something the size we wanted without seeing their actual work in person. When our daughter was in town at the end of March, we went to Terrain again to get her opinion and to discuss with the staff there in more detail before deciding to order a single custom art piece. We talked to one of their designers, Reid, about the different options, and told her our budget, the size, the wood pieces and decorative elements we liked. Reid was incredible and so easy to work with. She sent us photos of her beautiful initial design of the moss art base and some decorative options after about a week. After exchanging a couple emails and talking on the phone with her, we stopped by to look at some of the elements in person as we're in the area that day, anyway. We loved how Reid refined the piece based on our feedback, and always kept us posted on any changes in price estimates. The end result looked stunning! When we picked up the moss art, another staff took great care in finding a large box and wrapping it so that we could bring the piece back home safely. We really appreciated it. I signed up for Terrain text message and got a 10% off code. They honored it at the store, as well. Every time we're in the store, we always found something interesting to look at, and the staff were super friendly. It's been more than 6 months, and the moss art still looks great. We love it!

I want to give a special shout-out to Teresa, the store manager, who made our first visit truly exceptional. My teen daughter was feeling shy and awkward walking in (shopping for jeans will do that), and let's be real - the last person she wanted style advice from was me. But Teresa was a total gem. She was friendly, approachable, and instantly put my daughter at ease. She listened carefully to what my daughter was looking for, then came back with a ton of great options. While my daughter was trying on jeans, Teresa even pulled some sale items for me (bonus points!). I honestly expected to walk out with maybe one thing, but we left with quite a haul - and it was 100% worth it. Teresa also let me know about Madewell's free alterations for rewards members, which I had somehow missed even though I've shopped there for years. The entire staff had Teresa's same energy - welcoming, enthusiastic, and genuinely helpful. Between the personalized service, quality of the clothes, and how good my daughter felt walking out, the experience was more than worth the money we spent. We need more shopping experiences like Madewell @ Stanford - where people make you feel good, not just about how you look, but how you're treated.

I actually attended as part of a private company event and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. There was a bit of a wait for the fitting rooms so I put my clothes on a rack while I shopped around. When it was my turn, to my surprise there was an extra pair of green pants that I didn't add and I pointed that out. They said that they added it for me to try on with my stuff! I was skeptical but I tried it and to my surprise the pants fit me like a glove and were super comfortable! I was super impressed they were able to pinpoint my size and it looked nice with the clothes I was trying on! I liked the pants so much I ended up buying them. They're the utility straight leg pants and I even bought another pair online in a different color (on sale) since I liked the fit so much. Their tops sizing seems pretty consistent. I was consistently around an XS. I did try on a jacket in XS but it felt a bit baggy so maybe I could wear XXS in jackets. They had a cool bomber jacket on the men's aisle that I wish they had on the women's aisle as well! I think Everlane's clothes are on the pricier side but they feel nice and I hope to get a lot of wears out of the pieces I bought!

On the most recent occassion, we were the only two in the shop yet not one of the three employees greeted us. I even stood next to the counter in front of two employees and it was as if my daughter and I were invisible. I believe one of the employees was the owner. A group of three women walked in and were immediately converged upon. They were told about a sale and asked if they needed help. My daughter and I stood appalled at the flagrant favoritism as we continued to be ignored. My daughter and I both realized that the three women were dressed in designer outfits, while my daughter and I were dressed in comfortable shorts and t-shirts. I spend between $2000-$2500 A MONTH at stores like Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Anthropologie (yes, I love to shop). I also wear clothing from Target. Whether I have my designer bag in hand or a Target purse, I would hope to be treated like a valued customer. I used to love to give my money to small boutiques like Alys Grace, but after the way we've been treated the last two times, we will not be returning to this location or their other stores.

I then sat for several minutes waiting for assistance with a return, only to be spoken to in a dismissive manner once someone finally approached me. There were only two customers in the store at the time, so the lack of service was especially disappointing. Afterward, I followed up with my SA, who has always provided excellent service, and my concerns were escalated to management. Unfortunately, instead of taking accountability for how I was treated, Salvador responded with an email attempting to justify the behavior by implying the team was busy assisting others. That explanation simply did not reflect the reality of the situation. I responded respectfully, emphasizing that accountability matters and expressing hope that this could serve as a learning opportunity for the staff. I also clarified that my experience should not be attributed to high traffic when the store was clearly not busy. I never received a response. At this point, I question how thoroughly my complaint was actually reviewed. It feels easier for staff to claim they were occupied than to acknowledge poor customer service and address it honestly.

The new layout is awkward and cramped. As soon as you walk in, there's a wall of handbags and a large jewelry counter that leaves very little space to move around. It felt crowded and uncomfortable. We were initially helped by one associate who began showing us bags, but she left to check someone in and returned to tell us to use the iPad, telling my mom to browse the bags digitally instead. My mom clearly said she wanted to physically see the bags in person, but the associate kept insisting on us using the iPad to read information we weren't interested in. If we wanted to shop online, we wouldn't have driven out of town. Eventually another associate, Erica, took over. Unfortunately, her customer service was extremely off-putting. She brought out gloves for my mom to use but was inconsistent about the policy, going back and forth about whether they were required, while no other customers in the store were wearing gloves while looking at bags. It felt incredibly selective. Even if that is the policy the first associate didn't have us use gloves while we handled a DIOR bag nor was anyone else in the store using gloves. I recommend getting staff up to the same page and watch your manners instead of wincing if I touch the hardware on a Gucci bag?? She never offered me gloves either my mom and I decided to share a glove either. At one point Erica stopped using gloves and was like "only some of the bags you need gloves for" After looking at another bag we asked Erica to scan a bag for us, ERICA became distracted by a customer that just walked in trying to get someone to see his ring. Since she wasn't paying attention, my mom tried attaching the strap to the bag with her gloves on and Erica snatched the bag away from my mom and said, "Can you just" so she could scan it. Unfortunately, the experience never improved. We came in ready to shop and left feeling disrespected. We ended up leaving with one bag because we came all this way for the bags. For a luxury resale company, the service should reflect professionalism and care. This experience did not.
