Amazing customer service! They actually took my Small Zipper Tote back! I explained that the gold hardware was making the bag too heavy, and I couldn't carry it before or after I filled it up without excruciating shoulder pain. Even though their policy says bags can be returned within thirty days, they made an exception for me! I'm so happy! They gave me my three hundred bucks back, and there was no pressure to buy anything else instead. I bought the sportier version in mocha without the gold hardware. I like it so much more than the bougie bag! I'm not a fan of gold on my bags. I like the sporty and casual look so much more than the bougie look! So minimalist, so light!! read more

Oof, awkward. Recent customer service here needs self reflection. I've been a Cuyana fan since its early online days when they were only in San Francisco, and both my husband and I have made substantial purchases both online and in store over the years. While I still like Cuyana products, the service in this location is disappointing. You're better off staying online if you can. The last time we were at the Stanford shopping center, we happened to see a sign outside Cuyana that said treats/drinks with Anton (Patisserie). So I excitedly thought why not drop in? We see a table at the back with several treats, and debate which ones to try. Just as I'm debating a second macaron to grab for my husband, the associate approaches us for the first time during our visit. She apparently was watching us from behind, visibly upset and worked up about how it's only ONE per person. Ok, chill, no need to speak like we're thieves or a nuisance -- especially because this is the first time you've bothered to interact with us at all during the visit without any acknowledgement or greeting upon us entering? Read the room. You obviously don't care about service but are worried about one too many treats for a couple of people just happy to be there and look around. Talk about being unwelcoming. What's the point of advertising treats when your customers don't even feel welcomed to enjoy them? And no we're not there "just for free stuff." read more

I don't usually write reviews, if a companies product or service is unacceptable I just won't go back. However this time is different. I placed on order on April 29th for a product that they are still selling, today is June 4th and I still have not received my order. No tracking, or shipping info has been sent. Every email request to support@cuyana.com has been met with automated replies, and request to confirm shipping address which I have done, only to be met with silence and nothing more. I have called the support number numerous times only to be put on hold and the call disconnected after around 2 minutes. The first 2-3 orderd placed with the company years ago went well, however the last 2 have been a nightmare. I can not in good faith recommend this company and will not be supporting them any longer. I am getting quite frustrated. I want to emboss my crock passport case with my initials. I went into the Palo Alto store and also called the customer service number and got the store rep and the phone rep told me "We can't emboss the crock at this time". When I asked how come I got no clear explanation, instead both reps began repeating themselves like a broken record. If this were true and I cannot pay to have this done, why cannot I a) sign a release in case the item gets damaged or b) how is it you can emboss the inside with your brand name. I bought one for my friend's birthday since the one I choose seems like a good to carry on when you travel. Then I found it was local company and had a few stores in the Bay Area, so I decided to stop by their store in San Francisco at 2116 Fillmore. I couldn't make it for a few weeks but decided to stop by yesterday. My friend's birthday was already past without my intended gift and she already finished one travel, and into to her second one, so I know it was time to get that bag to her before her travel. The store experience didn't disappoint at all. It is a small boutique stores and their staff was very friendly and Melissa was kind enough to help to pick and choose what I needed for my friend and myself as well. I ended change the one I got and bought a zipper tote, with matching flap bag ( their mission is fewer is better) and small easy tote for self! As I expected, the bag is simple, soft, light, elegant, and well designed. And, I loved those travel jewelry box so much and bought one for me and my friend. Tbh- it took me forever to come in to the store to ask about it because I assumed they'd tell me to go find a leather repair shop. Wow I was so wrong! I walked in and explained the situation to two women (both named Linda) and they totally hooked me up! They explained that bags have a 2 year warranty- took one look at my bag and apologized- then gave me a completely new bag no questions asked! I was SHOOK. Amazing service and they were so nice. I love Cuyana, they've been a reliable stop for special / customized gifts for women (moms, friends, bosses, etc.). Price range is $50 up, including $75 alpaca scarves (although an additional $8 for box is so frustrating!), $120 cross body leather bags, $50-$100 small leather goods, $15 monogramming up to 10 letters. Would highly recommend checking them out -- they moved in to their new permanent location across from Williams Sonoma. I've had mostly great experiences here although I've noticed during the holidays they had some newer sales associates who weren't as knowledgeable.
