This has been my favorite go to spot for years! Whenever I have family or friends in town visiting, Cuzzo's is always one of my go to places to take people. My favorite dish is always the strips tossed in golden bbq sauce with lobster Mac. The last time I went I had to admit I was thoroughly impressed with the portion size. If you get a chance to go on a Sunday I recommend hands down. On Sunday, they have a buffet with at least 6 different options to choose from or all of them if you want. The menu is always posted earlier during the week on Instagram. So go check them out! Also if you're going to try anything, make sure to at least order some of their lobster Mac & Cheese with one of their homemade lemonades!
I'm embarrassed to say how long I've lived in Charlotte before FINALLY trying Cuzzo's. It's been on my list for awhile but just haven't made it out there until now. Let me start by saying their cajun fried chicken is the best fried chicken in the city, hands down! I can't believe how good it was. I'm still in awe lol. The sides were good as well and the lemonade was delicious. I'm not a fan of banana pudding but decided to try their strawberry banana pudding anyway because it came with the meal. I personally didn't enjoy it, but someone who likes banana pudding might. I'm looking forward to trying them out again on a typical day where we can order straight from their menu and try other items. This might've been my first time at Cuzzo's but it definitely won't be the last!
Cuzzos never disappoints! You are greeted with great energy by their staff and big smiles. They were helpful with explaining the menu and giving suggestions. The restaurant has bold colors and has a pretty cozy set up. Limited seating so you may take it to go but the outdoor seating is perfect for a nice day. The celebrity wall is also a nice touch, really shows how much conversation their amazing food is creating. Jerk wings with lobster mac and cheese (9/10) it was good!! The fish, shrimp and lobster mac and cheese (9/10) also delicious! Had to get another side of lobster mac & cheese because of how amazing it is! This is a must go to every time I am in town.
This was my first visit to Cuzzo's Cuisines restaurant. I use to visit their food truck all the time - which was amazing! I decided to visit on a Sunday for their Soul Food Sunday $17 Takeout Buffet. Customers can enjoy a variety of options like Shrimp Potato Casserole, Cajun Fried Chicken, Green Beans, Collard Greens, Lobster Mac & Cheese and more! This buffet also includes a dessert, water (and/or) sweet tea. I would highly suggest arriving early to beat the crowd. I arrived 15mins before opening hours, with only 6-7 people in front of me. I was in and out in no time flat, thanks to their customer monitoring and hands free buffet. I ordered the Cajun Fried chicken, collard greens, lobster Mac and banana pudding. Everything was great!
It's no secret that Cuzzo's has some of the best food in the Queen City! After trying their Lobster Mac & Cheese at a food festival last year, I finally made my way into their eat-in restaurant. I was a bit shocked to see they have security at the front door but I wasn't mad at it. All of the employees were friendly, especially the bouncer. It was a Wednesday night and it was pretty empty, but plenty of DoorDash folks going in and out. We waited about 40 minutes for our food but at least it was worth it. Lobster Mac & Cheese: The flavor of this dish is impeccable, huge pieces of lobster although I wasn't sure if there was some imitation crab in there as filler Grilled Shrimp: 10/10! They just need some butter or garlic dipping sauce for these Red Velvet Chicken & Waffles: Off the darn chain!!! Match made in heaven! The red velvet waffle was everything while the chicken was just ok, will try it with wings next time Peach Cobbler Waffle: I really hope I'm wrong but the peaches tasted and looked like pears. It was absolutely delicious, I was just confused! Other than that, this waffle was a 10/10! The juices/lemonades weren't anything special. I really enjoyed the music they were playing, Jazz renditions of your favorite R&B jams from Alicia Keys to Beyoncé. Of course I will be back, their menu is full of goodies you won't find anywhere else! I will be back for the strawberry banana pudding and I hear they have a soul food buffet on Sundays.
We recently tried this place in Charlotte and we are in love, to say the least. The shrimp was incredible, the lobster mac was impeccable, and the wings were insane. When we first walked in, there was a screen on the counter to protect from airborne germs. The customer service was excellent, especially for us as first timers. The staff gave us some great recommendations and were patient with us as we drooled all over the menu. We ended up ordering the shrimp & wings combo plate because we wanted to try as much as we could.... all with the infamous lobster mac & cheese! Let me tell you: that lobster mac & cheese was crazy delicious! It even had huge chunks of fresh lobster in it. I saved those parts for last! The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and had the tail taken off so it didn't get in our way. And the wings were so tasty! We tried the lemon pepper and barbecue flavors and will definitely try the jerk next! Our favorite part of the meal was definitely the lobster mac & cheese. Please do not go there without it! All in all, we will definitely come back here whenever we come back to Charlotte. It's a must!
A must visit. Cuzzos should be on everyone's food bucket list. The staff were so personable personable, welcoming, and friendly! We ordered the Lobster Mac, fried fish, house wings, cinnamon chips, and raspberry cucumber lemonade. We even got to sample an item that will be on the menu soon- chocolate chip waffles- they were delicious! I'm from out of town but will make this cute place a stop every time I fly out here. WOW! Cuzzo's Cuisine caught my eye, via Instagram, with endless photos of delicious, made-from-scratch food. As soon as you walk in to their Tuckaseegee Rd location, you're met with high energy and smiles. KP assisted me with such enthusiasm that would brighten anyone's day. When you walk in, you'll select the buffet option that you'd like and pay. Once you pay you'll receive a ticket that you'll hand to the server at the beginning of the buffet. This is not self serve, so you pick your sides and move down the line toward the meat. All of your food will be in one tray and the meat is separated from the the sides with a tissue paper. I had rice, green beans, candied yams, lobster mac, fried chicken, and oxtails. (For JUST $30!!) All of the sides were excellent compliments to each other and prepared so well. The chicken was SOOOO crunchy and perfectly seasoned; the oxtails so tender and delicious! All of the servers are very nice and move quickly. It is so refreshing to see such strong teamwork in a fast paced environment. As you make your way through the line, you will have the opportunity to pick up napkins, plastic ware, straw, and an iced tea or water. If you have time to dine in, I highly suggest enjoying your meal while it's nice and hot because you'll be tempted your whole drive home!
Lets just say I am giving 4 stars as if they can improve on the online ordering and pickup process being better organized it would be 5 stars all day. Other than that once I got inside the staff was very friendly and even with a big order the young lady took her time to ensure that I wasn't missing a plate. I don't get that from some of these chains as they just throw your stuff in your bag and then I get home to discover something isn't right. She inspected it all. Kudos I have known chef andario for years since his days working in venues in SC. It has been a pleasure to watch him grow the business and his brand. I am very proud of him for what he has established here in Charlotte. I had some friends in town and was like let's hit up cuzzos as I wanted others to experience this deliciousness. Unfortunately I didn't order enough because people inhaled the plates which is a good thing right. Keep up the good work everyone
I ordered via uber eats, it initially said pickup was 20-30 minutes but after placing the order it changed to 60-70 minutes. I get it, they're busy, but knowing that up front is important. Overall, the food is good. Wings- I got the lemon pepper: definitely lacking flavor. Shrimp- amazing! Fish- kinda rough but it was good. Lobster mac and cheese- ok, it has to be a mix of a little lobster and a lot of imitation crab. Regardless, thoroughly enjoyed. The mac and cheese itself is divine, the seafood or imitation just adds to the yum! Strawberry banana pudding- idk, personally I'd prefer just regular banana pudding as the strawberries were minimal (2 small pieces) and then the strawberry syrup on top didn't add anything to the dessert. In conclusion- I will be going again! Staff is friendly and they definitely are trying to get the orders out but when I was there 8 of us were waiting, needless to say this business is blessed and I can see why!
Cuzzo's wasn't on my radar at all until some Yelp friends started raving about it. The restaurant is small. It seems like they mostly do take out. There are a handful of tables though so you can eat there. We went for lunch one day and I'm not sure if it was abnormal, but they got a huge to go order before us that they were working on, so they warned us our food could take 30-45 minutes. We were already there, so we decided to wait. I'm so glad we stayed because the food was amazing. I got the shrimp and half lobster mac and cheese combo and the peach cobbler chicken and waffles with house seasoning on the wings. I honestly can't pick a favorite because everything was so good. The lobster mac and cheese was rich and creamy. The shrimp and wings were seasoned perfectly. Dry rub wings aren't always my thing, but these were made so well. The waffle was basically dessert. It was so good on it's own I forgot about the syrup. I wish I had pictures to share, but the food was so good I forgot to take any. I'll be back for sure!
It's Eat Black CLT week which is the perfect opportunity to try a new place you haven't tried before! Eat Black CLT week runs through this Sunday, June 12th - so you still have time! We tried Cuzzo's Cuisine @cuzzoscuisine because I was sold on the Lobster Mac and Cheese! I ended up getting the Shrimp and 1/2 Lobster Mac and Cheese entree which was only $13.00 as part of the Eat Blk Charlotte specials. The lobster mac and cheese sure delivered! It was super cheesy, so cheesy in fact you can't even visibly detect the lobster chunks cause they are covered in cheese! The shrimp was perfectly fried as were the chicken tenders my husband got! Seasoning was on point! Also on point was the playlist of jazz music versions of r&b classics. Side note, that we ate inside and I really enjoyed all the photos adoring the walls of all the celebrities who have eaten Cuzzo's! Huge Real Housewives of Anything fan over here so I loved seeing Kandi Burruss on the wall! I would definitely return next time I'm craving some fried seafood and lobster Mac. The portion sizes and price point are super reasonable and the vibes were 100. @feisty.eats
I have chasing their food truck numerous time. It come to a point where the lady that work the truck know what I will order when I walked up.. Finally today I get to visit their storefront. And I couldn't been happier. You're greeted when you walked thru that door. The hostesses give some of the brightest smiles.. I ordered my usual which is the chicken and red velvet waffle.. my cousin ordered the jerk wings, lobster Mac and cheese with battered shrimps and some strawberry banana pudding. I love my waffle. Crispy on the outside. And the wings was nicely seasoned with a special dry rub! I will alway be a fine of Cuzzo Food Truck but if my craving get bad and I have find them.. now I have a store front to visit anytime!

I am in debt to that yelper who posted a photo of her lunch a few weeks ago, bringing my attention to this new restaurant and prompting a mental note for a future visit. Decided to take the 20min drive to experience their lauded lobster mac & cheese. Arrived around 11:20am Thursday. Redevelopment is slowly making it's way down Tuckaseegee Rd, yet based on the address, I doubted it had gotten that far down yet. Was looking forward to supporting the organic efforts of a few forward-thinking souls in bringing a fresh new business to this area. Pulled in to the well maintained parking lot. Walked in to a well-lit and clean restaurant, and was instantly greeted by a young man at the counter. I was the only customer at the time, yet somehow the place still had an energy of fullness and life. After some jovial chatting, decided on a 1/2 lb order. Taking a seat, the owner came out and greeted me very genuinely, all smiles and warmth. I mentioned I watched a cooking segment of his on TV, and a pleasant conversation proceeded from there. I really hoped the food would be good. The lobster mac & cheese was indeed good. I should disclose that this was my first time ever having lobster mac & cheese, as I am a devout crab mac & cheese-er. Lobster is so subtly sweet & light tasting that I think it's flavor gets a little lost in a dish like mac & cheese. Thus, I think I arrived with misplaced flavor expectations. Crab mac & cheese comes at you bold; lobster mac & cheese is more discreet & refined. There were lots of chunks of lobster, and it was all marvelously fresh. Totally worth the drive. For dessert, I had Banana Strawberry Pudding. Growing up, wars of mastery were fought at family reunions over banana pudding, so when the manager praised his version, I had no choice. Sure enough, it was splendid. Cuzzos Cuisine is a fantastic addition to the Charlotte restaurant scene. Lots of customers piled in after me, and it was clear they have a lot of regulars. Even the local mailman was there. Grateful for it's presence, customer service, and quality of food, and look forward to watching it rise. read more

I've lived in Charlotte for a few months and I've been waiting to try this. The first time I wanted to try it, we wanted to eat in a sit down establishment and they weren't offering that. I actually don't believe it's a place where you can sit and eat. So this week is black restaurant week and I wanted to support by trying their 6 shrimp, 4 tenders and lobster mac special. Let me tell you, I've had lobster mac before but it was not as cheesy and gooey and delicious as theirs. Their tenders and shrimp were seasoned with their house seasoning. I also ordered the red velvet waffle but I should've ordered the peach cobbler waffle instead. The only negative I have is that we placed an online order and it took an extra 30-45 mins to get our food after the confirmed pickup time. They were BUSY BUT it's worth the wait!! Some places make you wait and don't deliver on the flavor and deliciousness... this place isn't one of those. You'll get everything your taste buds are craving! The service was great as well! Very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I'll be back for that peach cobbler waffle soon! read more
Great food, great service.... what's not to love? I've gotten takeout here twice and both times, I was greeted warmly. The first time, I ordered fish and lobster mac & cheese. THE best lobster mac I have ever had. I was most impressed because it took no time for them to fix my order. Considering it was fish, I assumed it must've been premade and sitting under a heat lamp. I expected for it to be Luke warm. I was Wrong. After driving to Target, I opened my container and everything was Hot and fresh. Very impressed! Then there was the mac and cheese. It was creamy, flavorful, and there I was scarfing down a whole meal in a parking lot. There were several chunks of lobster meat. At the price point, I'm not sure how they do it. I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. I came back about a week later and the cook/owner wasn't there. The mac and cheese was a little dry, but my lemon pepper wings were great AND they had 3 drums/ 3 flats. Management assured me they're addressing consistency w/ m&c. Not sure if they take special request with wings, but I'm cool with it being even. Needless to say, I'll be driving across town to return to Cuzzo's to get the mac and cheese. I'm rooting for them to open a second location sooner than later. read more

Let me start off by saying this is some of the best food I've had in a while. This post has absolutely nothing to do with the flavor or presentation or delivery. My post does have to do with the integrity of this business. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and was so pleased, until I started to look more closely at the lobster. The lobster I had today is imitation. I grew up in Maine for 20+ years... I am an expert in seafood. I can absolutely tell you without a doubt that it is not authentic. New Hot Business Yelp find so I went on my explorer mode to check it out. I understand the 5 star rating.. lobster Mac & Cheese is awesome...nice chunks of lobster w/a balance of cheese & seasonings. I think CLT lacks great Mac & Cheese but this spot gets thumbs up! Fried shrimp was good and they weren't stingy - A plus for real seasoning as well. Come to this place for good takeout, call in your order or order inside. Friendly staff, clean establishment and A rating. read more

First time I ate here I got shrimp & the lobster mac & cheese. I was very happy the shrimp is crunchy on the outside & overall has a really good taste. I recommend the lobster mac & cheese, even though it's not real lobster it tastes really good and is juicy, the mac & cheese is just really good in my opinion. read more

Not good the lobster Mac had 3 pieces of imitation crab in it the shrimp was bland& I asked for jerk wings I think these are more like bbq . Very disappointing I was visiting NY very excited to try. 4/10 overall meal read more

3rd time and once again I'm satisfied. Lets break down this go 'round Food: the lobster Mac and cheese NEVER disappoints. Very flavorful and a fair portion for the price. The fish tacos hurt my feelings. They just didn't hit. Maybe I'm used to local favorites like cabo fish taco or Pinkys fish tacos. They were just....bland. Like a giant fish stick on a tortilla (I'm sorry). Thank goodness for that cilantro, it helps. Maybe another smudge of the sauce or even a course slaw would make it perfect. However, the rest of the food was so good that I'm still gonna return! Customer service: VERY PLEASANT. Felt like I was among family Ambiance: kinda absent but the vibe is still pleasantly relaxing with upbeat jazz playing in the background. Try it, you'll love it! read more

Came here with a few family members and my toddler. Upon walking in there were a good amount of people either waiting to order or waiting for their food. Understandable. However, the guy at the register was moving slower than molasses. I think we waited at least 10 min just to order, and another 20 min for our order. The young lady who brought our food out wasn't personable. The food was yummy. It was a bit hard to enjoy it fully with a toddler and no high chair or booster. The cucumber lemonade was delicious. *I will change my stars after waiting a good bit before returning for a chance to work of the kinks. read more

I've been here twice and the food is pretty good. I would go back when I get a taste for it. The first time I had the tenders and fries and this time I had the wings and fries and the lobster mac & cheese and it was good. The one thing I noticed is that whenever you get a combo it's supposed to be a deal but their combos are the same price as if you ordered things individually. So basically no deal. read more

Hey y'all!! Sa'eedah checking in from Southern California, Los Angeles area. Lol anyway I found Cuzzo's cuisine on the Instagram explore page some time in 2019. I love to eat and I'm a huge foodie. So when I saw the food picture from Cuzzo's on the Instagram I was like I hope it's close by because I hate driving for more than 30 minutes Ok anyway so I followed Cuzzo's and I found out that the restaurant is Charlotte,North Carolina. Fast forward to September 2021, I finally went to Cuzzo's about two weeks ago. Lord I had a hour and 10 minute journey to get to Cuzzo's. So I got to the establishment and the big guy upstairs looked out for me. Lol there wasn't a long line. Shoutout to God for the short line. I wanted to get so much food. When you enter the security guard provides mask if you don't have a mask. We went to the register to order our food, the young ladies at the register are very professional, sweet and respectful. They have a soul food buffet on Sunday. Kids eat free on certain days. The pink lemonade, the sweet tea and the regular lemonade is good. The restaurant is clean and tidy. There's something for everyone no matter how picky you might be. I am the pickiest eater ever and I enjoyed the food. I got tenders and Mac for my baby cousin and he is picky and he loved the tenders. I got lemon pepper wings for my mom and she tore up them wings. I barely got to taste them. But I got a bite of the lemon pepper wings and they are delicious. I love macaroni and cheese and I really liked the macaroni a lot. The greens are good as well. The mambo wings are great, they remind me of mambo wings from Washington DC. We need a Cuzzo's in Los Angeles. LA residents would love the food especially the lobster Mac. Great customer service, professional, respectful, kind,friendly employees. Y'all gotta teach these Los Angeles restaurant employees how to conduct themselves in a restaurant. Awesome hospitality. Very warm environment. parking available at the establishment. I am looking forward to my next visit to Cuzzo's. I want to get wings, tenders, waffles, veggies, Mac, drinks and so much more. Thank y'all for the lovely wonderful experience. I'll be happy to leave another review after my second visit. I'm planning to come back soon for my next four orders lol God bless y'all! Finally got a chance to check this place out.I ordered the lunch special which consisted of wings, mac n cheese, and broccoli. I got the jerk flavor. I must say the wings were really big in size, but I'm not sure the jerk flavor was there. I really liked the mac n cheese. It was pretty flavorful. This place has a pretty good following from the line of people that were there. I think I'll try it again but maybe a different wing flavor. The staff were really nice and the location was nice. It has a lot of community pictures and appears to show a lot of love for the area. I really like that so I'll definitely be back. read more
I have been rocking with Cuzzos since they were just a food truck who would come out to my employers business park. From the first time I ate that red velvet waffle I knew This truck was destined for greatness & eventually he moved to an actual restaurant which I was so happy to see. Customer service is always good. Food sometimes can be inconsistent on quality but when it's good it's really good! If I had to recommend 2 items it would be you cannot come here & not get a waffle(Any flavor you won't be disappointed) & the lobster Mac & cheese. read more

I had their food before and it was good and knew the wait was longer then at other take out places. My last visit definitely will be my last. I tried ordering online to lessen my wait ( system was down), called 4 times and none answered. So I decided to place my order in person From the the time I placed my order the cashier was rude- saying they didn't do what I asked until I literally showed her on the menu. Once my order was placed I waited in my car where they said they would bring it out there ask for the color and make of my car. I sat outside for AN HOUR. I watch people get their food and even the person who also ordered in person got their order. I walked inside to ask how much longer it would be at that point it was already 30 mins later. They said 5 mins so again I waited, after being asked what color my car was as if it was my fault for not being in the car or something. For another 30 mins at which I was just over the entire situation, asked them again where my food was- at which time they said 5 mins again and gave me my order a few mins later. Not only was the food cold but it was extremely under seasoned and gave me food poisoning. Definitely would say the worst 50 dollars I've spend. read more

If you haven't been to Cuzzo's Cuisine yet, stop the car, get off the boat, or whatever you are doing!!!! This is a must! I am actually feeling some type of way that I've been living in Charlotte and just went today. I did the dine-in brunch buffet option. So let's move right along to everything I had on my plate. The yams..listen!! I don't know whose garden these yams are growing in and how they cook them to perfection but these are the best I ever had (no exaggeration). The yams are coated with sweetness but still firm. No mushiness around these parts! I love how the collards have a sweet taste yet a well seasoned kick to them. The cabbage has a vinegar taste to them but it's weird because it isn't strong and the taste it still just right. The cajun chicken....oh my...I don't want anybody else's chicken anymore except Cuzzo's. I'm on a chicken strike!!! Everybody needs a little rice on their plate so the rice met standards. I don't like macaroni and cheese but the lobster mac & cheese is a must try. I loved the cajun taste it had going on. I think that covered my plate.Ohhh, don't forget your cornbread!!! Definitely a must-try if you want authentic soul food! I have been here one time before, but today I decided to get the Sunday $20 buffet special. The wait was about 30 minutes, since the line was wrapped around the building. But it was TOTALLY WORTH IT! The greeter at the door was friendly and so were all of the servers. Everybody had on their masks and were social distancing. There were lots of choices on the buffet and I got the Cajun fried chicken, lemon pepper turkey wing, lobster Mac n cheese, candied yams, green beans and collard greens. Plus it came with a sweet tea and dessert. So much bang for your buck! I must say the best part was the strawberry banana pudding. This is stuff is DELICIOUS and you get a good size serving, you can tell someone's grandma put a lot of love in that recipe. As a whole I would say if you prepare for a long wait when you come here at least 30-45 minutes, you won't be disappointed at all. read more

$17 dollars for a fish & shrimp plate w/ 1 piece of fish and & 5 shrimp oh & a little bit of fries from the bottom of the bag. Food was so greasy that I couldn't finish my niblet fries. The short lady at the front seemed in a hurry with everything! (Doing to much). I'll go elsewhere! The 1 star is because the fish was good. read more

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. I went to Cuzzo's during Tropical Storm Florence just to get out of the house. I wasn't expecting much because most of the restaurants in the area were already closed. When I got there I was greeted by the friendliest host and servers I could imagine. They were accommodating when it came to my son wanting to watch the football game. They also told us the best food to try as well as made sure our plates and drinks were full. The lobster mac & cheese was recommended by a friend, which is why I stumbled in. He was right when he told me to make the trip to get it. I'll definitely become a weekly visitor of Cuzzo's read more

Doesn't look like much when you get in the neighborhood slightly sketchy lol. Butttt don't let that make you leave. It's good food but FOR ME IN MY OPINION.... DIDNT live up to the hype. The lobster Mac and cheese was AMAZING though. Def get that. Anddddd the peach cobbler waffle get that my friend had it. read more

I've had the pleasure of eating here twice now. The 1st was during the gov't shutdown where they provided employees a free lunch which was very noble of them. I had jerk wings, red beans & rice. On my most recent visit, I had the same but I added the lobster mac & cheese. I love the jerk flavored wings which has a hint of sweetness, a pinch of heat that doesn't linger on your pallet too long. The red beans & rice was flavorful & seemed to pair well with the wings & M&C. The M&C was cheesy, bold, & very unique. I really enjoyed this side however think it would taste that much better if real lobster was included. I'd pay the up charge! Overall, this is a restaurant I will continue to frequent & has become a staple of the local Charlotte area community. I see why. read more
