This has been my favorite go to spot for years! Whenever I have family or friends in town visiting, Cuzzo's is always one of my go to places to take people. My favorite dish is always the strips tossed in golden bbq sauce with lobster Mac. The last time I went I had to admit I was thoroughly impressed with the portion size. If you get a chance to go on a Sunday I recommend hands down. On Sunday, they have a buffet with at least 6 different options to choose from or all of them if you want. The menu is always posted earlier during the week on Instagram. So go check them out! Also if you're going to try anything, make sure to at least order some of their lobster Mac & Cheese with one of their homemade lemonades!

I'm embarrassed to say how long I've lived in Charlotte before FINALLY trying Cuzzo's. It's been on my list for awhile but just haven't made it out there until now. Let me start by saying their cajun fried chicken is the best fried chicken in the city, hands down! I can't believe how good it was. I'm still in awe lol. The sides were good as well and the lemonade was delicious. I'm not a fan of banana pudding but decided to try their strawberry banana pudding anyway because it came with the meal. I personally didn't enjoy it, but someone who likes banana pudding might. I'm looking forward to trying them out again on a typical day where we can order straight from their menu and try other items. This might've been my first time at Cuzzo's but it definitely won't be the last!

Cuzzos never disappoints! You are greeted with great energy by their staff and big smiles. They were helpful with explaining the menu and giving suggestions. The restaurant has bold colors and has a pretty cozy set up. Limited seating so you may take it to go but the outdoor seating is perfect for a nice day. The celebrity wall is also a nice touch, really shows how much conversation their amazing food is creating. Jerk wings with lobster mac and cheese (9/10) it was good!! The fish, shrimp and lobster mac and cheese (9/10) also delicious! Had to get another side of lobster mac & cheese because of how amazing it is! This is a must go to every time I am in town.

This was my first visit to Cuzzo's Cuisines restaurant. I use to visit their food truck all the time - which was amazing! I decided to visit on a Sunday for their Soul Food Sunday $17 Takeout Buffet. Customers can enjoy a variety of options like Shrimp Potato Casserole, Cajun Fried Chicken, Green Beans, Collard Greens, Lobster Mac & Cheese and more! This buffet also includes a dessert, water (and/or) sweet tea. I would highly suggest arriving early to beat the crowd. I arrived 15mins before opening hours, with only 6-7 people in front of me. I was in and out in no time flat, thanks to their customer monitoring and hands free buffet. I ordered the Cajun Fried chicken, collard greens, lobster Mac and banana pudding. Everything was great!

It's no secret that Cuzzo's has some of the best food in the Queen City! After trying their Lobster Mac & Cheese at a food festival last year, I finally made my way into their eat-in restaurant. I was a bit shocked to see they have security at the front door but I wasn't mad at it. All of the employees were friendly, especially the bouncer. It was a Wednesday night and it was pretty empty, but plenty of DoorDash folks going in and out. We waited about 40 minutes for our food but at least it was worth it. Lobster Mac & Cheese: The flavor of this dish is impeccable, huge pieces of lobster although I wasn't sure if there was some imitation crab in there as filler Grilled Shrimp: 10/10! They just need some butter or garlic dipping sauce for these Red Velvet Chicken & Waffles: Off the darn chain!!! Match made in heaven! The red velvet waffle was everything while the chicken was just ok, will try it with wings next time Peach Cobbler Waffle: I really hope I'm wrong but the peaches tasted and looked like pears. It was absolutely delicious, I was just confused! Other than that, this waffle was a 10/10! The juices/lemonades weren't anything special. I really enjoyed the music they were playing, Jazz renditions of your favorite R&B jams from Alicia Keys to Beyoncé. Of course I will be back, their menu is full of goodies you won't find anywhere else! I will be back for the strawberry banana pudding and I hear they have a soul food buffet on Sundays.

We recently tried this place in Charlotte and we are in love, to say the least. The shrimp was incredible, the lobster mac was impeccable, and the wings were insane. When we first walked in, there was a screen on the counter to protect from airborne germs. The customer service was excellent, especially for us as first timers. The staff gave us some great recommendations and were patient with us as we drooled all over the menu. We ended up ordering the shrimp & wings combo plate because we wanted to try as much as we could.... all with the infamous lobster mac & cheese! Let me tell you: that lobster mac & cheese was crazy delicious! It even had huge chunks of fresh lobster in it. I saved those parts for last! The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and had the tail taken off so it didn't get in our way. And the wings were so tasty! We tried the lemon pepper and barbecue flavors and will definitely try the jerk next! Our favorite part of the meal was definitely the lobster mac & cheese. Please do not go there without it! All in all, we will definitely come back here whenever we come back to Charlotte. It's a must!

A must visit. Cuzzos should be on everyone's food bucket list. The staff were so personable personable, welcoming, and friendly! We ordered the Lobster Mac, fried fish, house wings, cinnamon chips, and raspberry cucumber lemonade. We even got to sample an item that will be on the menu soon- chocolate chip waffles- they were delicious! I'm from out of town but will make this cute place a stop every time I fly out here. WOW! Cuzzo's Cuisine caught my eye, via Instagram, with endless photos of delicious, made-from-scratch food. As soon as you walk in to their Tuckaseegee Rd location, you're met with high energy and smiles. KP assisted me with such enthusiasm that would brighten anyone's day. When you walk in, you'll select the buffet option that you'd like and pay. Once you pay you'll receive a ticket that you'll hand to the server at the beginning of the buffet. This is not self serve, so you pick your sides and move down the line toward the meat. All of your food will be in one tray and the meat is separated from the the sides with a tissue paper. I had rice, green beans, candied yams, lobster mac, fried chicken, and oxtails. (For JUST $30!!) All of the sides were excellent compliments to each other and prepared so well. The chicken was SOOOO crunchy and perfectly seasoned; the oxtails so tender and delicious! All of the servers are very nice and move quickly. It is so refreshing to see such strong teamwork in a fast paced environment. As you make your way through the line, you will have the opportunity to pick up napkins, plastic ware, straw, and an iced tea or water. If you have time to dine in, I highly suggest enjoying your meal while it's nice and hot because you'll be tempted your whole drive home!

Lets just say I am giving 4 stars as if they can improve on the online ordering and pickup process being better organized it would be 5 stars all day. Other than that once I got inside the staff was very friendly and even with a big order the young lady took her time to ensure that I wasn't missing a plate. I don't get that from some of these chains as they just throw your stuff in your bag and then I get home to discover something isn't right. She inspected it all. Kudos I have known chef andario for years since his days working in venues in SC. It has been a pleasure to watch him grow the business and his brand. I am very proud of him for what he has established here in Charlotte. I had some friends in town and was like let's hit up cuzzos as I wanted others to experience this deliciousness. Unfortunately I didn't order enough because people inhaled the plates which is a good thing right. Keep up the good work everyone

I ordered via uber eats, it initially said pickup was 20-30 minutes but after placing the order it changed to 60-70 minutes. I get it, they're busy, but knowing that up front is important. Overall, the food is good. Wings- I got the lemon pepper: definitely lacking flavor. Shrimp- amazing! Fish- kinda rough but it was good. Lobster mac and cheese- ok, it has to be a mix of a little lobster and a lot of imitation crab. Regardless, thoroughly enjoyed. The mac and cheese itself is divine, the seafood or imitation just adds to the yum! Strawberry banana pudding- idk, personally I'd prefer just regular banana pudding as the strawberries were minimal (2 small pieces) and then the strawberry syrup on top didn't add anything to the dessert. In conclusion- I will be going again! Staff is friendly and they definitely are trying to get the orders out but when I was there 8 of us were waiting, needless to say this business is blessed and I can see why!

Cuzzo's wasn't on my radar at all until some Yelp friends started raving about it. The restaurant is small. It seems like they mostly do take out. There are a handful of tables though so you can eat there. We went for lunch one day and I'm not sure if it was abnormal, but they got a huge to go order before us that they were working on, so they warned us our food could take 30-45 minutes. We were already there, so we decided to wait. I'm so glad we stayed because the food was amazing. I got the shrimp and half lobster mac and cheese combo and the peach cobbler chicken and waffles with house seasoning on the wings. I honestly can't pick a favorite because everything was so good. The lobster mac and cheese was rich and creamy. The shrimp and wings were seasoned perfectly. Dry rub wings aren't always my thing, but these were made so well. The waffle was basically dessert. It was so good on it's own I forgot about the syrup. I wish I had pictures to share, but the food was so good I forgot to take any. I'll be back for sure!

It's Eat Black CLT week which is the perfect opportunity to try a new place you haven't tried before! Eat Black CLT week runs through this Sunday, June 12th - so you still have time! We tried Cuzzo's Cuisine @cuzzoscuisine because I was sold on the Lobster Mac and Cheese! I ended up getting the Shrimp and 1/2 Lobster Mac and Cheese entree which was only $13.00 as part of the Eat Blk Charlotte specials. The lobster mac and cheese sure delivered! It was super cheesy, so cheesy in fact you can't even visibly detect the lobster chunks cause they are covered in cheese! The shrimp was perfectly fried as were the chicken tenders my husband got! Seasoning was on point! Also on point was the playlist of jazz music versions of r&b classics. Side note, that we ate inside and I really enjoyed all the photos adoring the walls of all the celebrities who have eaten Cuzzo's! Huge Real Housewives of Anything fan over here so I loved seeing Kandi Burruss on the wall! I would definitely return next time I'm craving some fried seafood and lobster Mac. The portion sizes and price point are super reasonable and the vibes were 100. @feisty.eats

I have chasing their food truck numerous time. It come to a point where the lady that work the truck know what I will order when I walked up.. Finally today I get to visit their storefront. And I couldn't been happier. You're greeted when you walked thru that door. The hostesses give some of the brightest smiles.. I ordered my usual which is the chicken and red velvet waffle.. my cousin ordered the jerk wings, lobster Mac and cheese with battered shrimps and some strawberry banana pudding. I love my waffle. Crispy on the outside. And the wings was nicely seasoned with a special dry rub! I will alway be a fine of Cuzzo Food Truck but if my craving get bad and I have find them.. now I have a store front to visit anytime!

My review today is not about the food but about the experience. The female staff at the front of the establishment that handles to go orders and I'm guessing overall check in are not not friendly and borderline rude. I've never came to pickup paid food only to want to leave my order at the establishment. I'm not upset at the policy of having to show your ID and cc for mobile order pickups but it's the delivery from the staff that makes it a displeasing experience. Again this is not for the experience of the food but just the experience. I can't see myself coming back to this restaurant based on service alone read more

My last stop on my black owned business weekend last week. All I can say is the LOBSTER MAC! If you dont get that you are doing yourself an injustice. We used GrubHub and took advantage of the free delivery from black owned business. My husband and I both ordered the lobster Mac, fried shrimp, and wings platter. It was well worth it. I highly recommend. read more

Amazing food! They certainly know what they are doing here at Cuzzo's. And if you get lucky you might run into their food truck around the Charlotte area if the brick and mortar is too far away from you (check Instagram). They serve up some of the QCs finest soul food. The lobster Mac n Cheese is a staple and well worth it. The sauce is thick and creamy just as it should. Shrimp were made perfectly and very tasty. Also got the jerk wings before and they were nice with a serious touch of spice, which I don't mind. You might not have heard of this place yet but they can't stay secret for too long. Specially if you are reading these reviews! read more

Cuzzo's Cuisine the one that's located in the food court at Charlotte Premium Outlets was horrible. I ordered wings and baked Mac and cheese. Two of the wings were extremely cold, and the other 4 were fried overly hard. The Mac and cheese was to greasy and it didn't taste like how it normally does. I asked if I could get tenders instead of the wings after explaining why I didn't want them l, I was offered a 10% discount off of the regular price of tenders. As a business be open to feedback, and take care of the issue in a professional way. No apologies or anything just a slap in the face and a waste of my time and money. To top it off I ended up vomiting in the parking lot from the Mac and cheese that I ate it immediately didn't set right and I'm just over it read more

Disclaimer: You have been forewarned. Do not, I repeat, do not get the lobster mac...unless you plan to make a trip here weekly or more. Seriously, if you are looking for a rich, indulgent, throw your diet to the wind type of place...Cuzzo's is it! So good! And, the jumbo shrimp are perfectly crispy. You MUST try the CuMelon Lemonade- a perfect compliment to any of their dishes. The food is good, but the service is better. When you enter Cuzzo's you are greeted with a welcome, smile and excellent service. The staff are friendly and personable. You can tell that staff make a habit of learning the names and orders of regular patrons. I noticed that many staff referred to guests by name and many guests greeted staff by name. The owner has created a great atmosphere including a spotless facility (I love to see tables cleared and cleaned quickly in a dining space), jazz playing in the background, and ample seating. As much as I wanted to try dessert, I simple could not. The portions are quite large and left me full for most of the day. I will certainly return for brunch! This place is overrated. I ordered the cousin's special. 5 fry and tough ass wings. I couldn't taste the lemon or the pepper on the wings. The collard greens are "CANNED GLORY GREENS" that they tried to season, but made them worse than what they was!!!!! That lobster Mac n cheese was garbage. Holy shite, this food was out of this world! My husband and I ordered the peaches and cream and red velvet waffles w lemon pep and jerk wings! We also got a pound of lobster Mac and cheese expecting and hoping to have some to take home for later... nope. Ate every single bite there!! It was that good. I was so hungry last night I wanted to order something good to eat. I ordered collard greens, wings,n baked macaroni. the wings were like rubber which was very weird to me . the macaroni just had velveeta melted on top and the greens had tomatoes cut up in it! (WTF...) AND it was very salty. I ordered 2 meals for $60 !!!!! I'm pissed because my meal was gross... what a waste of money!!! No love put into this meal. This place has been on my radar for a good while and we finally decided to make the trip across the city to give them a try. We pre-ordered our food the night before on their website since they said wait times were pretty long and they've been really busy. We got our food with only a few minutes wait from our pickup time and then made a bee-line home so we could eat it as fresh as possible! Even after a 30 minute highway drive across town our food was still so delicious and well worth the effort to get. I ordered the hot wings with a sprinkle of lemon pepper and a side of seasoned fries. The wings were a great size, very well sauced, and the lemon pepper added such a great kick to the already bold flavor. I'd consider myself a wing addict and these are already in my top 3 favorites of all time (and I've had a LOT of wings). Fries are crinkle cut with a good seasoned salt on top. Of course they aren't as crisp if you can't eat them immediately but stick them in the air fryer for a few minutes and they crisp right up. My husband also got the lobster mac and cheese and while I'm not a fan of seafood, the mac and cheese itself was delicious and I hope I can order a lobster-less version next time. The cheese flavor was rich and creamy and the mac and cheese had that homemade quality to it that I love. Not only does Cuzzo's offer some amazing wings and mac and cheese, but they also make their own bottled juice drinks. I got the Cactus Pear Lemonade to give it a try, not sure what to expect....OMG this is literally the best juice I have ever had in my entire life. The flavor is hard to describe but it's so incredibly unique and fruity, almost tropical and very refreshing. I wish I could buy gallons of it, that's how good it was. I don't think you can order it through their online ordering system but it is available inside the restaurant so make sure to order some while you wait for your food to be ready. Service was very good considering how busy they were. We ordered our food to be ready 15 minutes after they opened to avoid the busy wait times and they were already pretty busy when we arrived. It was also reassuring to see that the staff was wearing gloves and face masks and customers were also required to wear masks. We can't wait to be back and try the rest of the menu. Greeted with excitement when we came they the door. Received lots of help with ordering and was able to create an order that made all of us very happy. Small place, not really fancy but comfy. Lots of people order to pickup but they do have a few sitting area (booths and tables). Music playing in the background and tv monitors are on. The Lobster Mac & Cheese....AMAZING!!!!! I wanted so much more than I ate! The shrimp and wings with the Carolina BBQ sauce was delicious! I would've gave them more stars...but my veggies were really overcooked and the chicken tenders didn't have any flavor. They have this cucumber lemonade drink that was super refreshing! Great place to hang out and even a date. Restrooms are only available for paying customers. They were clean and male/female type. I will be back!!!! read more

We ended up coming here after seeing their yelp reviews and boy were we happy!! When we went in the employees were extremely friendly and explained the menu/specials to us. We were a little indecisive and they were so nice and helpful. We both ordered the chicken and waffles and I got a tea as well. The wait for our was about 25 minutes but it was so worth it! I was a little nervous about the cream cheese drizzle on top of the red velvet waffle but it was my favorite part and the best red velvet waffle I have ever had. The chicken wings are amazing!! The seasoning is LIT I literally ate every crumb all the way down to the gristle lol. I will definitely back--probably next weekend. read more

This is a small, local business that I can say I'm glad to support. This restaurant is in the middle of a lower middle to low income area that is getting closer and closer to gentrification daily (think NoDa) so I hope they stick around. Parking is directly in front of the restaurant and wasn't a hassle. There is also plenty of space inside to eat. I ordered Cajun wings with a side of their famous lobster macaroni and cheese. While the wait time was longer than I wanted, my food was HOT. The wings were really good, fried perfectly! The lobster mac was good. It was well seasoned and was a good portion. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and great food. Definitely a great addition to Charlotte. read more

Got the fried shrimp and lobster Mac for take out dinner tonight. I cried tears of joy because this dish was SO GOOD. Then I hopped right on Yelp to write this 5 star review. Found this spot on Insta by looking up soul food hashtags in Charlotte. Let me tell you something, the food was delectable! Everything was seasoned to absolute perfection! In Charlotte visiting my sister-in-law and we were getting mani/pedis together when our nail techs started talking about a place called Cuzzo's that had the best Southern food they'd ever had. They described the best lobster mac n cheese they'd ever had and if we were looking for a place with great food to check them out. So post mani/pedis we were off to Cuzzo's to indulge in the succulent food we'd heard described. Upon arrival, mid afternoon, there weren't many people in front of us and we checked out the menu. A self-proclaimed shrimp and grits connoisseur, I had to order theirs, especially since I haven't had any since I moved West. I also ordered a 1/2 pound side of the lobster mac n cheese. My sister ordered the fish shrimp and grits. I also got the Kumelon "Prickly Pear" drink. We waited like 10-15 mins for our food and then our names were called and we were served our food in to-go plates (sidenote: all of their food is packaged to-go, even if you're dining in) I'm grateful that it was piping hot when it came out and so worth the drive. I truly enjoyed the shrimp and grits, I usually turn my nose to shrimp and grits without red sauce but it was so savory and down home. They also serve it with plenty of shrimp! I have never had shrimp and grits were the grits were that seasoned, but wow these were incredible!! My sister's fish was incredible salty though, like a vat of salt was poured on it. It kinda ruined her shrimp and grits. BUT THAT LOBSTER MAC N CHEESE WAS WOW WOW WOW! They have that thang down. It was perfectly seasoned, cheesy, tender lobster. It's mouthwateringly amazing. I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life. They lived up to their "World Famous" name. Overall we really enjoyed our visit and will be back. I hate that I'm having to leave this review. I love Cuzzo's food but the service is consistently slow beyond belief and the customer service has become nothing to brag about. We placed an order at 4:45 and it is now going on 6:30. The online service advises you to wait 45-55mins which we did plus some. This is not my first experience where this has happened and now we're over it and tired of being patient with no show of progress!! Once we arrived the lady at the counter seemed like they never even got our order to begin it. I finally had to go in at 6:38 for the same young lady to say she didn't know what car we were in when we literally are in a Big Blue Dodge Durango directly in front of the restaurant!!!! Which my fiancé pointed out before coming back out to wait even longer!!! No APOLOGIES were given!! We won't be back. Customer service makes a difference especially when you already are SLOW!!! This is so disappointing especially since we've happily spent so much money with Cuzzo's in the past and have recommended them to so many people. We tried Cuzzo's Cuisine for the first time today. We ordered two combination plates of the chicken wings, fried shrimp, and lobster mac and cheese, and one small shrimp and grits. The chicken wings flavors were Cajun and lemon pepper and they were a bit on the dry/over cooked side. The mac and cheese didn't have a lot of lobster in it, but it was still very creamy. But the fried shrimp and the shrimp and grits were delicious! We ordered online and it was a very easy process. Took about 35 minutes to complete the order. Uchi's been open in Charlotte for three months, and It took us ONLY two of those to make our 6:00 weekend reservation. All I had to do was log in again, and again, for several weeks before I happened into an available slot a month in advance. If you wish to eat at 4 or 9 pm an open table is waiting. Otherwise, at least for now, perseverance and patience, or luck, are required. So everyone's aware, Uchi is a chain albeit a rather exclusive one. Charlotte has the tenth location, next closest is in, let's see, Nashville. We've now eaten at three of these (also Miami and Hollywood). What I can tell you is that the design and decor vary considerably in each as do the menu items. The seafood tends to be locally sourced (relatively speaking) if possible and the seasonal menu is updated, literally, daily. I enjoyed the design of this Midwood Charlotte restaurant more than the others. It's in a renovated historic building and has an airy, modern yet industrial vibe. That is, except for perhaps the alcove where we were seated. This nook reminded me somewhat of my uncle's wood-paneled basement from many years past. That's OK, because what the niche may have lacked in aesthetic was made up by providing a more secluded quiet space for intimate conversation. Because we were hungry yet at the same time lazy we chose the chef's tasting omakase menu. Ten small courses chosen by the kitchen, no muss or fuss on our part. Many, but not all of the courses are from the menu. You can review my photos of some of the dishes, I remembered the names of most. Favorites? In general it has to be the sushi. Sure, the fresh fish is delicious but it's the rice, that incredible moist, flavorful short-grained rice that makes them sing. If you've only had sushi or rolls from a lower-end restaurant or grocery store then, my friends, you're in for a treat. My wife LOVES Uchi so now that there's one in our neighborhood we'll definitely be back.

The fish is so fresh…read more Peruvian Nikkei is so hard to find and unique to find near where I live and it truly is a flavor/ cultural experience. It's different for a traditional sushi/sashimi and different from a conventional ceviche you may find in Central America. I always stick with any of the nigiri and tiratado. If you want more of their traditional ceviches they have that as well. Pair the tiratado with their tostones - *chefs kiss We did venture and try the New York strip - it was fine, I didn't think the steak had enough time to rest so it's lost the sear it probably had when it got to our table. Probably will favor ordering more of the fish items again next time! Service is exceptional. The music is bumping and the interior is gorgeous and modern. Will be returning next time I'm in town!

If you are looking for down home low country cooking that will make you clap and kick then this is the place for you and your family!!! This is Lowcountry cooking at its best! Chef Ondario , Has been seen on our neighboring networks cooking his delicious food for our news personalities and even for some very famous people here in Charlotte. His personality is beautiful but his food is the most delicious thing you'll ever taste on the planet. We went to the recent opening on October 30 with family and friends what they served empanadas, fruit platters, shrimp and grits and his world famous mac & cheese. Follow up to the response: I offered to show my credentials and my badge was already visibly showing. The security guard specifically said "this is private property so they don't allow any weapons". The only part of my uniform that wasn't visibly showing was my shirt. My weapon, handcuffs, and other utilities were on my duty belt. I offered my credentials and security declined to see it as he was confident that your establishment does not allow weapons inside the premises. Maybe this is a training opportunity for your staff. Awesome Customer Service!!! Some of the best FOOD IN CHARLOTTE !!! The atmosphere is very relaxing. Awesome vibes.... Ordered the chicken & waffle, lobster Mac & cheese a must, shrimp & fries.. the cucumber melon pink lemonade so refreshing. You could also purchase it by the gallon. The owners are so friendly. My friend introduced me to Cuzzo and ever since I've been a regular customer. I've had different types of meals here and i loved 90 % of them. I've had their wings and fries, I've had their Lobster Mac & Cheese and a lot more and i enjoyed them all. Their customer service is good too. read more
