It's super open and there's even a whiffle ball field. The food was pretty good. Loved my burger, and the fries were super tasty. Their menu had Honey Weiss on tap, mine came out in a bottle, without a lemon. The other food looked super good, and the chicken tenders were pretty decent. Great local restaurant, but woah were they busy. We came on a Friday evening and the whole patio area was packed. Unfortunately they seemed short staffed because I only saw two servers working the patio area when they could have used another. The food also took a while, but we were very patient. Our server, Hunter, was great! My fiance didn't care for his meal (Buffalo Chicken Wrap) because of the amount of large blue cheese crumbles in it and a lack of chicken, but my chicken sandwich was really good. WORST service I have ever experienced. Went in Saturday Feb 3 about 5:30. Hostess made us feel like we were an inconvenience and did not want our business. Asked to be seated in the dining room and hostess gave an eye roll threw her pen on the stand huffed grabbed menus and stomped off. Got to the table she threw the menus on the table which was so crammed in the chairs could not be pulled out to seat a small child. Visited on a Saturday around noon. Wasn't busy probably as a nice day outside. We tried the Spicy sesame ginger chicken bites, some onion rings and California Chicken Pizza. The chicken bites were done properly (not dry or over cooked) and had a great flavor with a bit of a kick. The onion rings were not oily and the breading was crisp which is how they should be rather than those soggy ones you sometimes get at some sports bars. The spinach artichoke dip pizza sauce was a nice change from other white pizzas where its usually a thinner alfreado. The crust on the pizza had a good crisp to it and also made a good lunch Monday. I'll preface this review with I have history of 17+ years in food service and restaurant managment. Also, that in the past, I have always liked Cuzzy's ... but the last two visits have been bad and now the worst. The lastest just this evening was as follows: We had a 10 min wait for a low-med busy house. When seated, we waited awhile until I finally just got up to go get our cocktails at the bar. The server was apologetic when she got to the table, letting us know there were only two servers for now a 12+ table dining floor. We ordered apps; "boneless wings and 2 blue cheese ...please" and our entries. 10 mins later we got our bone-in wings and 1 blue chz. After flagging someone down, the order went back. While waiting on the reorder, our food came out. Smoothered Beef Burito and Pull Pork Sand w/Cole Slaw. While the burito was reported as OK, my Pulled Pork tasted like it had been 3 days in the crockpot and so salty my lips were swelling. Then came out the now boneless wings. I forked one on to my plate and knew in a sec ... it was RAW! And a quick cut into it confirmed a raw peice of chicken half done, if that. After getting our server back to the table, with many appoligizes, she brought them to the "kitchen manager" (who was just the head cook) who "wasn't happy and is comp'ing your meal" Well, gee thanks. As we were leaving and tipped our server (cuz this Cuzzy's shitshow was def not her fault) ... I said "would have been nice if the manager had stopped by our table" ... she said "yeah, would have .. if we knew where he was". So crap food, a MIA manager who should be working his short staffed floor .... and RAW chicken. If that manager worked for me, they wouldn't be anymore. I see many 3.8, 4.6 reviews here. I made a reservation and took my friend there for her birthday dinner to have the pot roast and then a piece of banana cheesecake. My husband and I stopped here for our 2nd wedding anniversary. I was so excited to see spinach and artichoke dip I have been craving since I'm 6 months pregnant we ordered it and the soft pretzels as well. The waitress came back informing me that they ran out of the spinach and artichoke dip even though it was 2pm on a Saturday. The pretzels were nothing special they were frozen ones I could of purchase at Walmart and the cheese sauce that came with it was so watered down you couldn't even dip the pretzels in it. The family dinner was great and up until the end of eating; we were discussing how great the service was. Then...it turned. Our self-proclaimed 30+ year server asked our daughter if she wanted a box for a salad that was barely touched. My wife said no, she didn't care for the dressing that was pre-mixed. We came in on a Saturday night, during the dinner rush, with a group of 9. We were sat within minutes at a nice square table so we could all talk to each other! Not something that happens often in restaurants. The space is very accommodating to bigger groups. We were impressed right off the bat! The menu is large with many different options. 'Twas the day of 17 in the month of July. My team had just suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of the imfamous Edina soccer team. Our bodies were broken, but not our spirits. This was my first experience here, and I was kind of disappointed when the interior of the restaurant was plastered. Brick House? More like misleading advertising. None the less, my team settled in for what was to be a fantastic meal... I was feeling adventurous, so I ordered a variety of grub. The Ranch dry rub wings- delicious appetizer with an exquisite flavor Pizza rolls- greasy, but a delicious take on the classic Italian dish Nachos el Supremo- a heaping dish of everything you could possibly wish for in nachos. So yes, the food was enjoyable. However, I had problems with the service. Three times they messed up and brought out traditional wings instead of boneless. Not that the people are rude, but we waited over 10 minutes for our waitress to come back and take our order after stating we only needed another minute or two. Then it was another 45 minutes before we even saw are food. Between that time we never saw out waitress. It took literally an hour from the time we were seated and the time we got our food. Being with 2 children (one with a genetic disability) and an infant, waiting patiently is not a characteristic they excel at. After receiving our food, we only saw our waitress once more, and then we had to seek her out for our check. Our food was good. But half of it was only slightly warm like it had been sitting in the window for awhile. The seasoned veggies are not very seasoned and they seems a little under cooked to me. We ordered the beer battered mushrooms as an appetizer and holy smokes the portion size was enormous not to mention delicious. The steak was cooked to order correctly and was tender and juicy. The baked potato that I ordered with it was the biggest I'd ever seen and could not even finish it I was so full. Other diners around us were seated, served, and left and we still didn't have our food! After speaking with a manager he told me they were unusually busy since there was no school the next day. He comped our food and encouraged us to come back. I thought the manager was very professional and did the right thing. I'm a fan. We eat here often, the food is actually great for "bar food." We've gotten to know the servers/bartenders, and everyone is always friendly. Outdoor seating gets buggy during the summer, but it's a nice enough patio and outdoor volleyball court. Plenty of parking. Best of the menu: Bruschetta Chicken Sandwich, Nachos, MEATLOAF. It sounds like a strange compliment, but they have the best fresh jalapenos - we always order extra on the chicken nachos. BBQ chicken and taco pizzas are also awesome, as is the white queso dip when it's on special. read more
