Went back to The Pointe to celebrate my birthday with my parents, sister, and wife. Needless to say, it was not on par. A let down. A disappointing experience. Pizza came out with burnt crust. Toppings were far less than what we have experienced over the last decade of eating here. As if people wouldn't notice. Just charge more and maintain quality. Total let down. read more

Tried the Twisted Philly and it did not disappoint. The combo of jaradello peppers, crispy bacon, melty cheese, and caramelized onions packed a serious flavor punch. The bun held up like a champ--soft yet sturdy--and the portion of meat was generous without being over the top. Came with a side of tater tots that were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right (honestly, they might've stolen the show). Overall, a super satisfying meal. I'd definitely order it again. First time here with the kids and grandkids and what an enjoyable experience. We were seated in the back section where there are arcade games for the kids and they could be kids and not bother anyone. Our server (wish I had gotten her name) was so good. Friendly and helpful and attentive despite being very busy. She was truly a rockstar. The menu is varied and there's a choice for everyone's appetite. The chips and salsa/queso were tasty as were the cheese curds and the tater tots. The potstickers looked very good. My cuban sandwich was one of the best I've had. The pork had a beautiful sear and was very flavorful. The fries were delicious. (Reminded me of the fries from a certain place with golden arches.) This pretty much a no frills place however that's part of its charm. Food is better than average in my opinion and they mix a good drink. Great big screens to watch sports if you're a sports fan. Atmosphere is okay a little out dated but I don't think they care. read more

The Pointe was our third try in Prior Lake for a late dinner with a group of eleven people, including 4 children, 2 seniors, 1 person with mobility issues, and 1 person with severe food allergies. The Pointe was affordably priced (reason for first restaurant ditch) and open (reason for second restaurant ditch). They were very accommodating and sat us in a back room that was much quieter at a low table (most tables are high-tops). And we could still watch the Twins killing it and see the March Madness Final! I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger, which sounded exciting but failed to deliver the spicy thrill I was seeking. I ate the whole thing, but with a little sorrow. The others around me seemed happy--a chicken potpie for Grandpa and a Buffalo sandwich for my husband. The salad Grandma ordered, however, was the envy of the table. We called it the "Dark Horse Salad," although there is probably a March Madness name more appropriate. "Salad Upset" sounds kind of negative.... Our waiter was attentive and friendly to our large and rather needy group. I would give him 5 stars and a reasonably-sized trophy. read more

Bar area is seat yourself so the staff will come and go to assist you and we were well attended too but again, slow service is pretty subjective since you don't have your own personal server in the bar so you have to flag one down... Considering this was the worst fish and chips I've EVER had in my life, I can only remark on that! All breading with 1/4" of fish. The thinnest pieces of fish so that you couldn't even taste the fish. French fries were hard as rocks and the only edible thing was the thimble of cold slaw. Was really looking forward to trying this place. We made a reservation, and the place had 2 parties, so it was really busy. They didn't even reserve us a table, and I saw my table number just sitting on the hostess stand. The hostess said the only table was by the bar then some ladies randomly sat at it. They said people weren't leaving well then you should have a system down by now to cycle folks in and out. She didn't offer to clean it and they wouldn't move. Awful experience that let us down. If you haven't had covid yet then I'm sure this place would give it you. After eating here several times the service has greatly improved. Soups are good and they have several speedy lunch specials. The turkey burgers are good and juicy. The waffle fries are excellent. Fish tacos were horrible. Fish was cold and dry. Don't order the fish. read more

Great place to come on a Saturday or Sunday for a Bloody Mary. Bloody was made 'spicy' as requested, and it was delicious! Not to mention the cheese and sausage you get are huge compared to most places where you'd end up with dice sized pieces. The bacon on a stick was cooked perfect and again, was delicious! Okay since moving to Prior Lake I have been super disappointed in the lack of restaurant options open past 9pm. THIS PLACE IS IT!! They serve food until 11pm, and the food is 5 star, which I didn't expect at all. It's not at all bar food quality, so it's a little pricey, but it's absolutely DELICIOUS. The Pork Belly BLTA is to die for. Yum. I also tried the steak salad and pizza and loved both. The BLTA has my heart. read more

We just moved from a neighboring suburb and thought we would try The Pointe. We went early to avoid the Saturday night bar crowd. It was 5:15pm and it was so loud - The bar portion of the restaurant was spilling out into the dining room where lots of young kids were dining with their parents, including ours. I was told by the owner, that the restaurant and bar were separated by a wall so this not being my typical place ( I hate bar/grills), we thought we would give it a try. We waited a very long time to be greeted by a server. I had to go up and ask the hostess to find someone. I saw her speak to a guy, clearly we were not his table but, he agreed to take us and thank God he did. He was so friendly, kind and truly friendly. Everything came out right, not one complaint from the table as a matter of fact the food was GREAT!. I had a California Turkey Burger, In Laws had an Omelet burger and hubby the walleye sandwich. Kids went with grilled cheese and bacon with waffle fries and not one complaint in the bunch. Nice sized servings too. The waiter asked if we were happy, I said yes. He asked if I would come back, I said "no" and said "well, at least you are honest" Hey, Im a Brooklyn girl from NY - there is no sugar coating here lol - I said "you were great, food was great but, the noise level is unbearable" I know the restaurant cannot control that but, its a big deal for me. If you like the bar/grill sort of thing with more of an upscale menu, you will love it here. read more

Came in last week to grab a quick bite with the family. It was actually bingo night and the place was crowded. I dont remember exactly how long it took to get our food, but we found ourselves drooling over the pizza two tables over. I ordered a chicken sandwitch with carmelized onions, chips and a drink. Let me start out by saying that I have blonde hair so it wasnt mine, but the freek incodent actually came up that there was a small black hair embeded into my food. I diddnt want to make a giant stink in front of my family at the time, so I sectioned that part off to the disregards portion of my plate and continued to go about my meal. I carefully inspected every portion of my food as I ate to ensure that thete wete no more strageling hairs in my food. Other then the hair and the wait, the food was actually decent. I had a good time there with family. It was alittle bit of an older bar, but still a decent place. read more

I had the scallops and teriyaki chicken "meal" it's the perfect amount of food that I felt healthy and not grossly full eating :) the "seafood drizzle" was TO DIE FOR! we had the trio appetizer - authentic queso but nothing "out of this world" would of rather tried other appetizers but someone else in the party ordered. Logan was a great server and was very informative even when being relatively new to serving. He went above and beyond the correct the kitchens mistakes, which is why there are 4 and not 5 stars. It seems as though the kitchen is missing an expo. Missing salad dressing, pickles on some plates but not others (for the same exact dish), cold fries, missing sauce on the side etc. It would've been great if we didn't have to send Logan back for little details that would be solved with an expo. Food was good but the steak bites were a bit overcooked and chicken sandwiches were good. Once again thank you to Logan for elevating our dining experience. read more

Came in just before 10 and waited. Was pretty much ignored till I decided to speak up. Sure enough when I did speak up I was informed the kitchen was closed at 10. It wasn't when I arrived. First and last time I will come back. I'm sure your restaurant will do fine. However, continued issues like this will affect the bottom line and it will snow ball eventually.
