The pharmacy service at this location is abysmal. I had an appointment for a Covid vaccine booster at 3 pm. I arrived at the site and was immediately told by Erlinda that I didn't need to get the booster without proper inspection of my vaccine shots prior. I went to a different location and was told I could get the booster. I went back to this location due to having Moderna available only at this branch and had to wait a half hour. The kicker is the pharmacist that sent me away, Erlinda was supposed to give me the shot, but after 20 mins of waiting she just left and I had to wait for another pharmacist to give me the booster. read more

I live in the Valley and there are very few 24 hour pharmacies. I have CVS my whole adult life and am now 42. About a year and a half ago i started using this pharmacy on Hollywood Way. I have never been so disappointed in any pharmacy as I am here. I really like CVS as a company but somehow there was a massive mistake in managing this store in Burbank. I need to believe that the pharmacy staff is genuinely kind and is out for my best interest. I have routinely been on hold for an hour and 20 minutes at times to speak to anyone. I used the prescribers line as though I was calling in a prescription with no different outcome. I wonder how anyone has the time to call in an urgent prescription for a patient. It wouldn't happen. If you or your family are very ill or need assistance with medications, consults with a pharmacist, or any other help like transferring a script to or from another location, your on your own. I've had experiences where I had to pay out of pocket for a medication. Most other CVS pharmacies will do their best to use coupons or other discount cards to lower your cost. It never happens at this Burbank CVS. Fortunately being in healthcare I know that other programs, manufacturer prescription assistance exists. I really do feel terrible for anyone with no knowledge of the healthcare system or prescription drug programs. I want everyone to know that there are other CVS locations that are not like this one. I do have realistic expectations that come from far better service and experiences elsewhere. With so few 24 hour CVS pharmacies in the LA area I can only hope and pray that the company makes some positive changes. It's simply comes down to patients and providing quality care. 3 weeks ago I had the worst experience at this store. I could not even write a review right away because I was too upset. I had $16 extra bucks and a few coupons so I grabbed some ashwagandha, and some papaya enzymes because it was on sale 25% off and 50% off. First, the clerk named Armando could not apply my coupons even though it was not expired. He tried 3 times and ended up asking the guy next to him who was, from what I was told, the store supervisor named Terry. Well, I wonder who gave him this title because he is the rudest and the most incompetent worker I have ever met. I noticed this awhile ago so whenever I am in line there, if it's my turn and he is going to be my clerk, I tell the person behind me to go instead. This is how much uncomfortable this guy makes me feel. He hates his job I can tell and I do not want to deal with his bad energy. Anyway, when Armando told him he could not apply my coupons, Terry could not care less and simply said he could not do anything about it without even trying to look at it. WOW! But Armando obviously cared and he asked me if he could have a look on my cvs app on my phone. Despite COVID I gave him my phone and after a few seconds he fixed it and he was able to apply my coupons. Proof that Terry did not do a good job. Then I paid and before I left the store I checked my receipt and it appeared that the computer did not apply the discounts of 25% and 50%. So I walked back to the clerk and I asked if they could double check my receipt to make sure there was no mistake. Once again they asked that Terry guy and he looked at me and said in a very rude way NO RETURN, BO REFUND!!!! I could not believe my ears. I said that I did not want a refund or a return. I just wanted them to double check my receipt. Once again he said NO RETURN, NO REFUND!!! At this point I started recording him with my phone because it was so incredible. I kept on saying I DO NOT WANT A REFUND OR A RETURN!!! He said I had to come back the next day to talk to the manager!!!!! Really???? In the COVID era when we are asked to stay home and stuff I have to come back tomorrow for something you can check in 1 minute right now!!!! I told him he was rude and he should treat customers better because no customers, no job!! After that I left. When I got home I opened the bottle of papaya enzyme and no problem. Then I opened the ashwagandha bottle and I realized the seal had been broken inside the cap! I counted the tablets and there were 10 missing. OMG! Now I cannot even use it. So that trip to cvs was a total waste of time and energy. I haven't been there since. They send me coupons all the time but I'd rather go somewhere else. If I could give 0 star I would. :( read more

This CVS isn't as bad as the CVS on Alameda & San Fernando, or Burbank & San Fernando. It's larger, has better selection, and a 24 hour Pharmacy. That being said, they still seemed lost and confused when I went to pick up my prescription. I really do need to transfer my RXs to either Target or a local Mom & Pop store. I am really disappointed at this store i usually come here and tonight was the worst treatment ever . i went there with my daughter ,niece and sister and just because i told the cashier (rio) that i didnt want something specific she gave a major attitude back at them. i am in customer service and this is really rude and unprofessional. I understand policies change and there are certain protocols you have to follow but dont be rude about it and say " since you dont have a CVS card your not going to get a discount". this was uncalled for and totally out of line . i took this as being discriminated against . the customer before us were asians and just because we are hispanics dosent mean you can treat us any different . i believe in being treated fairly and being nice even when they are rude the customer is always right wether they are wrong/ right . something needs to change . read more

I visit this CVS often. I'm never here when it's busy but I can tell that they are understaffed. Most of the time I only come here to withdrawal money from their Chase ATM with the occasional Red Bull. The most difficult part is the unpleasant "strange people" who hang about the store entrance, asking for strange things. I don't like to see this sort of thing, particularly in Burbank. All around, I find what I need but when I can to see the clinic, they weren't very attentive. There was a sign that said they accepted LA care but apparently they don't accept LA care? I had to go to a Rite Aide to get my pink prescription eye drops. It was very inconvenient as I called CVS ahead of time to find out these details. 3 stars. The place is. This CVS needs to be shut down. Was out of the Er with my child at 2:30am and they sent my daughters meds here. I get there with my sick daughter and the lady in the pharmacy tells me oh they don't have all the meds and she can't fill what they do have because the system was shutting down . So at this point I am mad and she says come back in the morning . On the way out the cashier at the front asked me what happened and I told her . I ordered a picture magnet from cvs through photo prints. I get an email stating that it's getting printed. I have not received another email that it has been printed for couple of days. I finally got an email saying that it's ready. It's been now 5 days. I get there and asked for my order. They look up my last name and tells me that nothing has been done. Then they ask me if I got the correct location?! I showed them my confirmation email then they said they need their manager to assist me. He then comes and looks up and says it hasn't been done and they'll do it now. It will now take 30 mins. I told him that I can't be waiting that long and he just looked at me blankly that it's the only way. I told him that I'll pick it up tomorrow then which he said regardless I'll get an email within 30 mins that it can be picked up. Fine, I'll come back. Mind you this whole time, there was never an apology at their end. I have not got an email from them and it has been over 4 days now. I finally get an email on my 5th day that it's ready. Unbelievable!!! I get there and pick up one picture I made into an magnet. The result was disappointing as well. The picture was all misplaced ams the whole thing just looked awful! I will never come to this cvs especially with their management being so poor. How about an apology first? Find a solution and make this a priority if you messed it up and made me wait about 7 days or more to get a print that should've been done less than a day??! Just unbelievable. read more

I have had several bad experiences with numerous locations of CVS within the last year. Here is one of my experiences with the location on Hollywood way and Verdugo. I visited a couple of times and they had extremely long lines-wait times for picking-up prescriptions. The line had nearly twenty five people in front of me. This was my second visit, I decided not to wait on my initial visit and had to return only to find a longer line on my second attempt. Once I was finally helped, I mentioned to the associate that the line was excessively long and that CVS should address this issue or customers may chose to go to other pharmacies. She told me it was a good thing if customers left since it would be less work for them. I can not understand how a for profit business can operate in such a manner. read more

Went to this location for a few years, and finally just got tired of the unnecessary wait times. Every time I go (no matter what day or time), there is a 15-20 minute wait with less than 3 people in front of me at drop-off. Then I immediately get in the Pick Up line which is another 20 minutes and by the time the 3 people in front of me have been helped, my prescriptions are ready. I don't know why it takes almost 10 minutes per person in each line. I go to Walgreens now and I am in and out in 5 minutes. Last time I went to CVS, I waited and waited at drop off, only to give her all my info for her to give me my prescription back saying they don't have one of the drugs in stock. She didn't bother to fill the other one and told me to try back on Monday. Not going back here. read more

My prescription was called into the pharmacy on a Wednesday. Today is Sunday. I hadn't heard from CVS, and my doctor assured me it was called in, so before driving to CVS, I figured I would call them and make sure it was ready. I waited on hold for more than two hours. While I was on hold, I used another phone to call CVS and speak to the manager, to try and find out why it takes two hours for somebody to pick up the phone. The manager told me he would go to the pharmacy and have them call me back immediately. They didn't. When I called the third time, I was on the phone for a total of two minutes. I told the technician my name, they said they didn't have anything ready. I asked, "is it being filled?" They said no. Then the technician asked what the name of the medication was, so I told her. She typed a few things into the computer, and then told me, "Oh. Can you give me an hour or two? We received the prescription, it just hasn't been processed yet." read more

This is the most disorganized slowest pharmacy in the area. It's centrally located off you live in Burbank but they are always understaffed and always a long line. I dropped off a prescription at 12:30pm and they said it will be done in an hour. I returned right before 5 and they said it will be done in 25min! What happened to 1 hour from noon?! Then I've been coming here for 5 years and they tell me my prescription is over a $100! They didn't put the prescription through my insurance that they should have since it hasn't changed?! If they needed the information AGAIN they should have asked at drop off, now they have me waiting in another long line to settle this. So if you plan to come here, expect everything to take extra long. Customer service and efficient? Zero stars. read more

I have never, and WILL never get a prescription filled here. I go to small, independent pharmacies for my prescriptions. (Like Dr. Ike's in Studio City.) From the looks of all the 1-star reviews, it would appear that the act of obtaining one's medications at this location has serious problems. I come in here for a few lotto tickets, an occasional bag of potato chips and once in a blue moon, for a greeting card or a toiletry. I LIKE the employees I've dealt with, I LIKE the physical location of the store, I LIKE the small shopping center where it's located, I LIKE the homeless banjo player out front. The bathroom is nasty----but HEY, it's a bathroom, and you can use it if you want to, or take your urine someplace else if you prefer. Naturally the ONE DAY IN HISTORY I didn't swing by was the day Michelle Obama and Ellen Degeneres were fooling around inside---but after watching the video I've had the pleasure of chatting with most of the employees who were involved and they were really cool about talking about it a bit. CVS like most other big drug store chains these days, doesn't keep the shelves stocked very well, which is why I get most of that kind of stuff on Amazon lately. But I like it for the reasons I like it and I have a real problem with all these people trashing the super nice (generally) employees, and I haven't seen much turnover with the personnel over a long period of time. Rx was electronically delivered by the doctor on a Friday at 12:15 pm. I arrived at 3:30pm and it wasn't ready. The clerk said she would make it a high priority. At 4:00pm, the clerk said 5 minutes. At 4:15pm, I asked and it was not ready. At 4:30pm, I asked the clerk to check again and it had been completed and put into a basket. After being so slow and late, the pharmacist should have alerted someone that it was ready. Good thing I asked the clerk to check again at 4:30 because I was about to give up and leave (had to be somewhere). Very poor service. They seem understaffed. There's a vibe here that makes me wonder if any soul was ever joyful that entered these doors. One of the workers was putting down another workers intelligence and it was embarrassing. I felt bad for her... There's usually a few homeless outside which isn't a terrible thing; I usually get them a sandwich or water but it's just extra common at the doors here (likely b/c it's 24hrs.) And never an apology. I could not recommend this place less. The non-24 hour CVS on Verdugo is the way to go in this area. The hours aren't as good but the service is far superior. Just have to bitch a little. So I drop off my pictures from the Anaheim Ducks celebration last night for 1 hour processing. It's about 12:30 and they tell me they'll be ready at 2. I'm all excited to see my pictures of the Stanley Freakin' Cup, Pennywise, and Governator Schwarzenegger, so I go back promptly at 2 and they're not ready! The guy says give him 20 more minutes and they'll be ready. I come back 40 minutes later and they're still not ready! They're almost ready, but I have to wait another 5 minutes for them to finish. The person working there (a girl, different from the original guy that was there earlier) says she just got there and it isn't her fault. That's true, but she could have given me a discount or something. Nothing! Anyway, what I learned: 1. 1 hour processing apparently takes over 2 hours; 2. Call before going back to pick up pictures to make sure they're ready; 3. Get a digital camera. read more

I don't live too far from this location. Probably a couple blocks away, so driving here is not a huge deal. Very convenient when I'm craving for a late night snack or need to grab some necessities that I will need ASAP. Not sure why this place only has 2 stars. It has 24 hour pharmacy, which comes into favor for those who needs their meds. Stat! Employees are okay, they will help you if you approach them and ask whatever it is that you need/looking for. Store is neat and organized. I never felt like I didn't know where anything is. They have a good selection of nail polishes, cosmetics, shampoos/deoderants, hair products, cheap clothing and bags, school stuff, etc. Although if you are looking for a bigger selection, then take your behind to target. The only negative thing i must say are the random people that occasionally stands/sits outside looking like they're waiting for their next victim. So be careful. read more

Hands down the worst pharmacy in the history of time! First of all this place is horribly understaffed. If you come here make sure you have an hour because it will take forever to get your prescription. But that is the least of the problems with this pharmacy. On March 6th I was getting a prescription refilled for the first time after changing my insurance and getting stuck with CVS/Carmark as my insurance. My doctor called in a prescription and I tried to call in my insurance so that it would be faster when I went to pick up the script. When I called the woman I spoke to flat out refused to take my insurance info. When I got there they told me my prescription would be $130 because I didn't have insurance. I gave them my insurance card and had to wait for 15 minutes while they redid my prescription with the insurance. Again, had they taken my insurance information over the phone it would have saved everyone time. Then on March 13th I saw a new doctor who called in 4 prescriptions for me. I called in the afternoon to confirm that they received my prescriptions. They confirmed that they did and I could pick them up after work. When I got there that night, they said they didn't have anything for me. I made them look again and explained that I called earlier and they confirmed having received them. After looking for a while they finally found them. Well, they found 3 of the 4, the 4th one was on order and wouldn't be ready for 2 days. When I paid for the prescriptions they had the price seemed kind of high, but they were new prescriptions so I didn't question it. Then on March 19th I went back to pick up the prescription that they didn't have on the 13th and they had to order. I had taken this medicine before and knew how much it should have been. They were charging me significantly more. I questioned in with the pharmacist and they realized that they didn't apply my insurance. I had them check the prescriptions that I picked up on the 13th and was told that they charged me incorrectly for those as well. They over charged me $40 on the 13th and tried to over charge me an additional $20 on the 19th. Obviously at this point I was not happy and asked to speak to the pharmacy manager. She was of course not there and they told me she would be there this morning. I called this morning, and of course she was not there. I have honestly never seen a pharmacy so bad. Unfortunately, due to my insurance I am stuck using CVS pharmacies. Maybe one day I will find a good one. But this one is absolutely horrible and needs to be shut down. read more

Mindy Nguyen the pharmacist is one if the rudest people I have ever encountered. She doesn't want to hear anything you have to say. Looks at you like a piece of trash. Rolls her eyes. Ignores you and starts working on something else while you stand there like and idiot. Stares blankly at you like you are speaking gibberish. She seems to despise her job and customers going to cvs for their medications. You took an Oath to serve us patients and you are not doing a very good job at it Mindy. The entire staff actually seems entirely miserable. Customer service has gone completely out the window here. Expect long wait times, in person, and even on the phone. This is the only 24 hour pharmacy in my area so I am stuck with using this location if I need a medication filled after hours. My Rx wasn't going through for some reason even though my doctor submitted them multiple times. They tried calling in the prescription and they were being sent to voicemail over and over again on the provider line. I had to beg for them to answer and all i got was attitude! Awful! Awful!
