The pharmacy technician was very professional. My child has needed antibiotics right after we left hospital. Our near by pharmacy refused me because they were closing and didn't fulfill Dr.s prescription. I called here and they quickly helped me out. But I've seen these bathrooms periodically, and they look like they've never been cleaned the whole time I've been going to this cvs (11 years). I was on the phone on hold with this pharmacy for 3 hours then they hang up the phone on me. Second time I called they put me on hold again. While I was on hold I drove to the store, stayed on the line with my phone on speaker. First employee said you are yelling I don't want to talk to you, by the way I wasn'tyellingi just asked for supervisor. Then Erlinda came and told me if I pick up your call I won't be able to help my customers in the store. When I said that this is not home depot or other retail store this is pharmacy and this is related people's health they suppose to have someone answering phones she threw the prescription on my face and told me to go to another store. Looking at the reviews, it looks like I'm not the only person who's had problems with the pharmacy. I was there my 2nd of 2 vaccine shots that had to be done before the end of the year. I don't currently have insurance, so I had to pay out of pocket. The women who gave me the shot was great, but then she turned me over to this guy giving me a bizarre attitude. I'm about to pay with credit card, and he asks "Are you sure you want to do this?" I'm like, "Uh, yeah". He then says "Do you know how much it is?!". I said "Yes". I paid as he was constantly shaking his head, how could you be doing this kind of thing. Would he have preferred if I just walked off and didn't pay at all? Someone really needs to talk to this guy. Service is not great and if you need help finding something in the store you can forget about it. Really wish there was a zero option. I called on 2/16 and waited 37 minutes for someone to pick up the phone. I was told by a young lady the 2 nose sprays were back ordered and cough syrup would be in 2/20. I asked her to repeat it to write it down. I show up on 2/21 to pick up the medications Anita tells me the cough syrup isn't ready and sent me back to the check-in line to recheck it so I wait in line for 30 minutes to be helped by Ricky who I tried to communicate that there is a miscommunication with the pickup line. They send people to check in and don't alert them they have to get in line. So he starts helping the woman who cut in front of me. I felt he ignored me and just continued to ask for the patient's name and date of birth. I don't understand why the person giving me the medication couldn't tell me my medication was ready. And when I called on 2/16 I wasn't given the correct information. Please talk to your staff. I used to love this pharmacy. It was close to work, they notified me in a timely manner whenever my RX was filled or there were issues with the insurance. However, in the last year or so, the service has declined drastically. Now I find out the night before my surgery that there is an issue with my medicine. And I only found out BECAUSE I CALLED. Standing in the skin care aisle I was actually approached by Consuela who asked if I needed help finding anything, how refreshing! And she led me directly to the item. I get that pharmacies aren't going to be the epitome of customer service but holy hell I was on hold for such long stretches while also being disconnected. I had to call about 5 times, honestly it was easier to just drive over to speak to a human being. The staff I managed to speak to on the phone was incredibly unhelpful before disconnecting the phone. They just did not seem to care and kept telling me to make an appointment online. But the appointment online asked me to confirm availability with the pharmacy. Despite the fact that they face a steady tsunami of patients requiring medication, advice, etc. they maintain their humanity and sympathy which is absolutely amazing. Sohrab goes above and beyond as being a real problem solver which is unbelievably refreshing. He has come up with solutions for me and found coupons to save me money all with out being pushed he just looks at the situation and deciphers the best way to move forward with out me having to rack my brain and plead in order to get an issue resolved. I've had many visits to this location. This will be my last one. I was greeted very rudely. The customer behind walked in front of me and one of the techs persisted to help her first as if there wasn't a line people were standing in. I originally went since they sent me a message that my medicine was ready for pickup and once I got there they had no idea what I was talking about and that my medicine was not filled and ready. Once you can get to someone the pharmacists are very helpful. However, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on the phone! Apparently this is an issue at a lot of CVS pharmacies, but c'mon guys! Let me update this again. I really honestly believe that this location deserves negative 100 stars. This is my experience today. I call... Wait for 15 minutes before the system hangs up on me. I call again... Wait for 5 minutes before the system hangs up on me. I call AGAIN... Wait for 2 minutes before the system hangs up on me! I call AGAIN... Don't even have to wait...I get hung up on immediately as soon as I switch to pharmacy. I call AGAIN... and omg, I got through. And the lady was so unhelpful. Basically was like can't get your status cuz it takes 4 to 5 business days. So i now have to go through this entire experience again in a few days to check the status of my medications. Worst CVS .. There were 2 staff chatting by the cashier stand but neither were willing to check out my items. They told me that I had to use self-service. I wish that I could give this a better review because honestly the store itself is fine and the people are very helpful. But this is about the pharmacy. The people are also very nice but what I don't understand is why they have four windows to serve people, but rarely more than one person actually at a window. Every time I go in there is a very long line and one person helping. But there's four or five people in the back who don't come up to help! On the very few occasions that I have been here where there's been little to no line it's been really a nice experience. As I said, the people are quite nice, but management really does not know what it's doing. Come on guys, when you see a long line, throw some people at the windows! Get your medication filled anywhere else. This pharmacy doesn't care about you, period. My doctor always calls in my medication for me in a timely manner and this CVS specifically claims they don't receive it. My epilepsy medication is controlled and can only be ordered in a 2 day window and today I waited on hold for 30 minutes before driving down in person to sort out why they hadn't filled my prescription. That this CVS is going is DANGEROUS. It's dangerous not to have medication to take as prescribed, one day without mine and I could have a seizure and they don't care. They don't care one single bit. I have always favored CVS over Walgreens until I made the fatal mistake of choosing this absolutely disgusting store to be my chosen pharmacy. Let me start by saying I have had multiple occasions when they unapologetically couldn't fill my prescription. The longest was after a hip replacement surgery and it literally took MONTHS for them to fill it! I just want to call out incompetence here. The main person you deal with is some ancient foreigner who could care less about anything and tells you to go stand at "Drop Off" for 20 minutes where no one is present and you feel like an idiot standing waiting endlessly to no avail. On 2 recent visits I made the mistake of trying to use the restroom and it was HORRENDOUS! I can't comprehend how a company that claims to care about the public health doesn't even maintain one single restroom to even an outhouse standard!!! No toilet paper, no toilet covers and no hand towels. They should seriously shut down this location and after today I'm changing my pharmacy back to another location! Regarding front registers, absolutely no understanding of Customer Service whatsoever, unless you want to buy the Carepass, which I had & will CANCEL ASAP! Then there's this misfit of a so called Manager named Laura who most likely dropped out of elementary school. The ad states buy one, get one of equal or lesser value half off. Now any educated individual is going to understand that what that means is that you don't have to buy 2 of the EXACT SAME THING. If that was the case, why does it state in writing (or of lesser value)? BTW, the next day it rang up buy one get one half off with a completely different cashier!! IDIOTS, my friends. I can't educate 2 idiots at a register at a place that couldn't care any less about filling a prescription on time nor providing the basic necessities in a restroom! A different woman came back and said the pharmacist was going on lunch and to come back in 30 minutes. Waited 40 minutes after leaving work early to make my appt. Urlinda may possible the worst representative I have experienced before, during, or hopefully after our current Pandemic. Urlinda works in the pharmacy area. Not only does she need help with customer service, I suggest that she seek help to better understand general personal interaction. I recently suffered a TBI , and have speaking, memory and physical conditions I am recovering from. Just because I speak slowly, does not mean I don't understand, and it certainly does not give anyone the right to be rude, continually interrupt, not listen, ass-ume she knows what I'm going to say, pass me off to someone else and talk back to me after continuing to point, "what is it you suggest I do (holding her arms to the side and wiping her head around)"..... My child's doctor called in a prescription and CVS just sat on it unless we went in to inquire the status (it's late at night) and only then did they say they were out of the medication. I called CVS Pharmacy at 511 N. Hollywood Way regarding a question on the quantity of a prescription and the bill amount. This call was after I spoke to my insurance pharmacy to try and understand why my cost at CVS had gone up by 582% on one Rx from 2023 to 2024 (insurance explained but CVS still got it wrong), and one from earlier in 2024 that CVS tried to bill insurance $464.29 yet the Retail Price on my receipt was $200.99 and. Something looks very wrong there. My insurance company is filing a grievance to research this discrepancy. The male tech I spoke to by phone at CVS was very impatient and rude, barely let me ask my questions, then once he thought he had answered all my questions and I was still talking and trying to ask another question that was unanswered, he hung up immediately after saying something like "Thank you for calling CVS. Have a nice day." Their pharmacist technicians are impatient, and their only answer is "I can't do anything about the cost, you have to call your insurance company." Even when they are the ones who got the prescription wrong, i.e. 30 day vs. 90 day. And after the extremely long wait times we usually experience and the many disgruntled people we have come across in line and arguing with the techs at the window, we will be transferring our Rx and driving farther to another CVS. read more
