CVS website touts products at the same price as Amazon. When you walk into the store, the there's about a $10.00 upcharge for the item. As an example, look at AZO for UTI relief. Website (and Amazon) has it for $7.99. When I went into the store, the price on the shelf was $17.99. This company is such a bait and switch type environment. I hope Amazon does put them into bankruptcy given what I would consider unfair (to the consumer) dis-information. read more

Went inside to get a flu shot and pick up prescriptions. There were customers in line with me who were not wearing any masks. Half the people working at the CVS, including pharmacy employees were not wearing their masks properly. A few had the masks hanging under their noses, some the masks were so loose it was not effective and one guy had his mask hanging by one ear, not in his face at all. Stay outside of this store. They do have a drive through pharmacy, so that is good. read more

I honestly hate giving any business a 1 Star but this pharmacy deserves it. So I had a back injury on Christmas that I had to go to the ER for. I got subscribed some pain medicine & muscle relaxers cause I simply couldn't sleep. So my gf dropped both subscriptions off at 11:30 & returned at 1pm & they weren't ready & she was told it would take 2 more hours, so we returned at 8pm and was once again were told it wasn't ready & it could be done in an hour but there was no guarantee. They closed 2 hours later & my meds were never available. I get that after Christmas you have a lot of people coming in but that after 10.5 hours you couldn't finish 2 prescriptions. So now I'll have to hope I can make it through the pain and get to sleep and also go back to work for 8 hours. Honestly I may never get my prescriptions from here again. read more

CVS Pharmacy on long street is terrible. I tried to call and I waited for 30 miinutes on the phone and no answer. I called the front and asked them to make sure someone picked up and she said that they are short staffed and that they are not answering the phone. What a nightmare. This is the second time it has take more than 24hrs to get a prescription filled. Either they need to find help or close the store. read more

Worst customer service in this pharmacy ever-don't come here! Prescriptions are NEVER ready per their recorded messages and usually take 24 to 48 hours to process. This has happened to me 3 times in the last 3 months. Rite Aid here I come. read more

Whenever I go to this CVS it's always having to wait much longer that the time they say they are ready. The emmet street location is much better situation and only about 10 minutes away. Would recommend going to that location instead read more

Do NOT go to this CVS if you have a prescription to be filled! I waited in the drive through for 25 minutes! I called inside and she said the wait inside was just as long. My prescription was ready but the wait is astronomical and there is no sense in it! This is one of the worst stores I have EVER used! read more

They have never had my prescription prepared consistent with the time indicated by their automated system.

I can't believe how these people wasted my time. I was on the way to Blacksburg when I noticed that I had left my blood pressure medication at home. I had another refill pending so I called this CVS that was on the way. They told me they could have it ready by 9pm. I arrived early and let them know that I was there and that I was going around the corner to get something to eat. They said it would take about 30 minutes to fill. "Great! I'll get Taco Bell!" When I came back 30 minutes later, nearly 8:30pm now, they tech tells me that they don't have the medication in stock and that they can have it by Thursday (two days later). When dealing with customer service, I expect a degree of incompetence. What I can't let go, however, is the how inconsiderate they were with my time. I was unable at that point to get the medication filled at another location. To add insult to injury, no one acknowledged the screw-up. They just went about as though it were business as usual. read more

I went through the drive thru, and I have an infant with me, and they said my prescription will be ready in thirty minutes, so I went to Walmart to pick up dinner and formula, then went to my grandmothers house so she could see the baby, so I was gone for an hour or more. So I came back and went inside and asked them when it would be ready and she said 10 minutes. So I wondered around the store and came back and a male representative said they didn't have it in stock. Are you kidding me? So I asked why would she say ten minutes if it wasn't in stock. And they both just got frustrated so I just ended up leaving. I'm going to get my doctor to change the place my prescriptions are sent in. read more

Why can't I give zero stars? Anyway, to make sure I would get my Gabapentin (a garden variety drug I've used for years) I had the prescription request submitted by my MD a full week ahead. After the I the full week I went in and was asked if I could wait 45 minutes and they would fill it! Truly amazingly poor service! I could not wait as I had to get to work. I tried to call them at a break but without the prescription number (who carries that around?) I could not even reach a human let alone get a meaningful answer. I am from Brazil and I had tried to return a product that I bought, but as I do not have any docments from USA they did not accept. I have the reciept, however even with the receipt they did not accept. I have never had this problem before. I do not recommend this store for anybody. read more

If there was a zero star I would have picked it. This pharmacy is predictably and regularly incompetent. For some reason I don't learn and continue to fill prescriptions there. It is nearby where I live and I am already in their system so I suppose that's why I continue to take the beating from them that I do. Prepare to wait a good 15 or more minutes if you are in their drive-through lane. Last week I was in the line for 25 minutes - 20 of which were spent waiting at the window while the clerk searched for my prescription. There were people honking their horns behind me as if I had any control over the situation. Bring a blanket, pillow, and snack before you go to pick up your prescription. read more

This pharmacy is incredibly busy and there is always a wait. You can wait inside or you can wait in the drive through but you will nearly always have to wait. I like the option of the drive through and the ability to receive text messages. There is a Rite Aid also on Pantops Mountain that is quiet, peaceful and less grimy. read more

Wasted 10 minutes on hold trying to see if my prescription ready, no pick up. The people were not friendly and I waited in silence as the only one in line. The lady rang me up without informing me they didn't attempt to run my insurance, I knew after reading a note half way out of the store. She sent me to wait in silence again for another unfriendly guy who processed the insurance. Then waited in line again where I received refund. She did not respond when I said bye. What a mess. Came one time computers were down. Was told to call back in an hour. Called back in hour and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Went to store 2 hours after the 20 minute call and was told they are still working on it. It'll be 15 minutes. I guess their time is the only time that's important. read more

This is a sham. This cvs lost my Rx and I waited forever. I am actually a prescriber and would direct my patients from every using CVS. I have had nothing but trouble with CVS personally which make me as a prescriber want to warn patients against filling their Rx's at CVS. This needs addressed by CVS corporate and I would appreciate a contact from them. read more
