I am a frequent visitor at this store and will attest to the fact that's it's a complete mess! Service: The service is generally friendly. I feel that it improved in the last few months. Still, it's very challenging to find help at checkout (not well staffed) or on the sales floor. I always opt in to self checkout. Local Inventory: You can purchase Cleveland or Cleveland Heights specific inventory - Cleveland Heights Tigers and John Carroll merch, and Cleveland Magazine. Issues at this store: - The refrigerators are frequently out of commission. Remain mindful of this when purchasing any frozen foods or ice cream. They just threw away all ice cream a few days ago due to broken refrigerator. It seemed to be broken for weeks. - The inventory replenishment at this store is never ending. There are constantly empty shelves, boxes in the aisles, and things obstructing the aisles. - There are significant loss prevention issues/remediations at this store. A lot of the items are locked and require assistance. This makes the shopping experience a pain. Even shopping totes are loss prevention secured. - Parking lot experience is terrible. The parking lot is not well lit at night and feels very sketchy. I dread going here late in the evening. The parking lot is also frequently not available because neighboring businesses utilize all parking spots. It's such a problem that even the local city group has this as a hot topic. It's terrible. It's also complex to enter and exit the parking lot during heavy traffic hours or restricted turn times (onto Lee Road). - Cleanliness and safety are a concern at this store. There is are a lot of folks asking for money at this store (even inside the store doors). The store is unclean and outdated. The doors are constantly broken. It just doesn't look up to the CVS standard in any way. The only positives are the location of this store and late night hours (not sure if 24 hours or midnight, they are fluid). It's quick to drop in for bare necessities. Other than that, I'm looking for other options for drugstores. If you stop in, I highly recommend checking the store out during the day.

The worker,a younger man, told me it is because my card was damaged.(It's not.) I went back to the pharmacy & there was a long line of people waiting to be rung out, so I left. I go back today. Same employee same issue. Again he told me my card was damaged. I told him it was their pos & I told him he should notify his manager. He replied "It's not my job." I asked how is it not your job to notify a manager that what you need to do your job is broken. I proceed to talk & he interrupts me everytime I was me I was being rude. I assure you, I was not. And even if I were it doesn't warrant him being rude & unprofessional. I was in corporate customer service, sworn at, called names,screamed at & I was never rude. Because no matter what, my job was to provide a excellent service to clients. When I asked the young man if the pharmacy was open, he told me "I'm not going to tell you because you were being rude." I then requested to speak with the manager. The manager confirmed the pos was not working & had been problematic since they have been installed. I explained I patronized CVS for years & I have never received rude service. It's clear cashier 1322688 does not want to work. He was content with the pos not working which is why he didn't report so he wouldn't have to ring people out. Not reporting an issue that does not allow you to do your job is theft of time. Additionally, he told me he wasn't going to provide me service. To me,that's quitting your job. If he isn't emotionally stable enough to handle a calm customer, I can only imagine how he would handle angry customer because he is reactive & escalates situations, when he should be deescalating. He is a liability.

My latest Walgreens experience was my last at this location. I browsed local stores online to check…read moreallergy nasal spray inventory. This Walgreens was one of the only stores around with stock. I was hoping for a quick transaction, in and out. Instead, I had a bizarre experience. The nasal spray was locked. I asked the employee stocking inventory in the aisle to please unlock the shelf when she has a chance. She was not pleasant at all, scanned me up and down multiple times. After she returned with the key, she said that she must carry the spray to the checkout and I must follow her very sternly. I've been to this and other stores, but this is the first time someone had to carry a locked item to the checkout. It was strange, but I was ok with it and just wanted to expeditiously get my item. I stopped to look at other items I originally came in for (gift wrap) on my way to checkout. I then noticed a tense gaze at me from employees. I decided then that this is a very strange experience and I will not be purchasing any additional items here. At checkout, three (!) employees completed my checkout while just staring at me and ensuring that the transaction would go through. It's about my millionth time at this Walgreens. All my transactions go through and I am pretty routine in my purchase. I come in very frequently to buy various items. All previous ones were pretty poor in terms of service but this one just crossed the line. I don't understand this targeted behavior for someone who walked in, walked right up to the aisle, asked to unlock the item, wanted to check out, and get a few more items. How can one transaction derail to this extent? I'm pretty upset about this experience and won't return. I'm sharing here so others know what to anticipate from this location. It's disheartening.

That wouldn't be so bad, except that there weren't any sales associates around who could open up the glass case for me. I decided to go elsewhere for a can of Krylon instead. Much of the men's underwear was also locked away in a glass case. Not the good moisture-wicking stuff, mind you. It was the cheaper Fruit of the Loom underwear that was locked away, bizarrely enough. Do they really have a problem with people stealing or vandalizing the cheap underwear? And not the more expensive stuff? Again, this wouldn't be a bit deal if a sales associate was available. The grocery selection wasn't great in comparison to the other Walmart locations either. And many of their suitcases had no price tags or price signage available. How do they expect to sell these things? This strikes me as a place where the management has pretty much given up on trying to sell stuff.

First off, walking through the store I could smell weed. And no body was that close to me so I questioned if someone was actually using a pen inside the store. They were prepping for restocking but it was a mess. No order. Employees on the isles didn't greet you, but kept their music playing loudly (loved all the profanity!). And checkout was ridiculous. I was told (after I was already ringing up items) "No self-checkout!" on the self-checkout line that was green. The same person who shouted that, was standing right there as I walked up and started ringing up my items. And I walked past a handful of employees as I made my way back to the exit only to be told when I was almost there "You can't exit that way." Cool cool cool. Poor customer service. Messy store. Avoid it.

The store is pretty typical though sadly a bit lacking in the toy department. The Steelyard Commons Target is way bigger for toys and also overall, so I'd recommend going there when needed. It's a bit out of the way if you're an eastsider but it's way "better" than settling for the Walmart nearby. Tip: They usually have promos when buying laundry detergent or other house supplies, to buy X products and get X amount on a Target gift card. I try to do these... household items don't go bad and free money is my favorite! As far as parking, the lot is a mess (poorly lit and not well stop signed) but there is always ample parking.

Now I remember why I hadn't been back here since I first moved to Cleveland 6 years ago. It has only gotten worse.
