I drop in fairly often and I feel like no matter what time of day I'm in the store, everyone is friendly. (which isn't the case at another Walgreens a mile in the opposite direction) The photo department always processes my orders faster than I'd expect them to and is great about calling me if I forget to come pick up an order. Great holiday tip? You can buy stamps at any of the registers if you need to mail out cards and are like me and are too lazy to go to a post office. Pro tip? Check out in the cosmetics department. The line is generally longer and I feel like the friendliest people tend to be stationed there.

I am a frequent visitor at this store and will attest to the fact that's it's a complete mess! Service: The service is generally friendly. I feel that it improved in the last few months. Still, it's very challenging to find help at checkout (not well staffed) or on the sales floor. I always opt in to self checkout. Local Inventory: You can purchase Cleveland or Cleveland Heights specific inventory - Cleveland Heights Tigers and John Carroll merch, and Cleveland Magazine. Issues at this store: - The refrigerators are frequently out of commission. Remain mindful of this when purchasing any frozen foods or ice cream. They just threw away all ice cream a few days ago due to broken refrigerator. It seemed to be broken for weeks. - The inventory replenishment at this store is never ending. There are constantly empty shelves, boxes in the aisles, and things obstructing the aisles. - There are significant loss prevention issues/remediations at this store. A lot of the items are locked and require assistance. This makes the shopping experience a pain. Even shopping totes are loss prevention secured. - Parking lot experience is terrible. The parking lot is not well lit at night and feels very sketchy. I dread going here late in the evening. The parking lot is also frequently not available because neighboring businesses utilize all parking spots. It's such a problem that even the local city group has this as a hot topic. It's terrible. It's also complex to enter and exit the parking lot during heavy traffic hours or restricted turn times (onto Lee Road). - Cleanliness and safety are a concern at this store. There is are a lot of folks asking for money at this store (even inside the store doors). The store is unclean and outdated. The doors are constantly broken. It just doesn't look up to the CVS standard in any way. The only positives are the location of this store and late night hours (not sure if 24 hours or midnight, they are fluid). It's quick to drop in for bare necessities. Other than that, I'm looking for other options for drugstores. If you stop in, I highly recommend checking the store out during the day.

They tried to blame it on how doctor wrote it, showed me. Been to 4 pharmacies with that writing where it says brand name on it. Never had this issue, other then once wrong capsules in wrong container. I have a law firm I helped save their kids that want to take a crack at them. I just want less drama in my life. Go and the pills I expert to be there to be there. When they mess up it causes issue with insurance and my life.

That wouldn't be so bad, except that there weren't any sales associates around who could open up the glass case for me. I decided to go elsewhere for a can of Krylon instead. Much of the men's underwear was also locked away in a glass case. Not the good moisture-wicking stuff, mind you. It was the cheaper Fruit of the Loom underwear that was locked away, bizarrely enough. Do they really have a problem with people stealing or vandalizing the cheap underwear? And not the more expensive stuff? Again, this wouldn't be a bit deal if a sales associate was available. The grocery selection wasn't great in comparison to the other Walmart locations either. And many of their suitcases had no price tags or price signage available. How do they expect to sell these things? This strikes me as a place where the management has pretty much given up on trying to sell stuff.

I was told (after I was already ringing up items) "No self-checkout!" on the self-checkout line that was green. The same person who shouted that, was standing right there as I walked up and started ringing up my items. When I took it back to get the correct medication, The pharmacy blamed first my doctor, then me, then my doctor again. They could have just blushingly admitted a mistake and I would have been ok. I am, unfortunately, on a good number of prescriptions. My wife usually picks them up for me, but as she's busy today and I'm heading out of town early tomorrow, I went to pick up my medications. It should be noted that I used to go to a neighboring pharmacy, but due to a change in my insurance, I go to Walgreens exclusively now, as directed by the company. Whenever I'd get a text from the old pharmacy saying something is due for a pick up, they'd explicitly say that they'd be closed between x and x time for lunch. Always. Walgreens doesn't include this in their texts to me, so I assumed (my mistake) that they most not close the pharmacy for any lunch period. I walked in and saw that every window was shuttered (there are about four or five, but in a basic "same" area) stating that "there is no pharmacist on duty, and state law prohibits prescriptions to be filled without one present". That was (basically) it. Same message on the outside drive up window. So, I figured that they were shuttered for the day due to having no pharmacist on duty at all. I then went on with my day and got a text saying another script was ready about forty minutes after leaving the store. Then the light went off over my head. They were, obviously, just closed for lunch break. If that had been expressed on the sign, I'd have waited the five minutes until two o'clock when they re opened after the lunch break instead of just leaving. Now, unless I go back out in rush hour traffic, I'll have to postpone my departure time until later tomorrow morning. LOL. YES, I'm just an old guy complaining, but simple different verbiage in the message, as in "we are closed between one thirty and two for lunch" would have helped other than the one that was ambiguous to the point where it suggested there was no pharmacist on duty all day. Sorry about the rant, but to me, it's just simplifying things.
