Not that these reviews can change much for a CVS, but tried to pickup a prescription and pharmacist at Pickup said they were "waiting for more info from the doctor" and that I should get more info from Drop-off. Drop-off then told me to go to Consultation (after waiting in line for a while for a slow customer at Drop-off). Consultation told me that the prescription was for a $200 drug that I could alternatively get off the shelf. Why didn't pickup just tell me that instead of "we're waiting for more info from the doctor"? Because there was a long line. While it's bad enough falsely blaming the doctor to shorten the line, by sending me to another booth, I ended up making two more lines longer! So they used me to make their problem worse. Youch; it's sad when the operational inefficiency is more off-putting than bad customer service. read more

Goodness was I in luck that this place had two working Kodak photo booth! The touchscreens do not work on the computer kiosk themselves, but there's a handy dandy old 2000 mouse that works perfectly fine! Hee. This particular CVS was rather busy and they had a eclectic bunch of things in snacks as well as presents for the holidays. I was printing some holiday pictures and since the photo department wasn't backed up, the lady was nice enough to print the one hour photos within my 5/10 minute wait! We were on vacation in California this past winter break and we spent a lot of time in this CVS getting medicines or even going to the minute clinic. My husband made an appointment for the clinic because he was having head congestion. It was easy to make an appointment and we were glad it was close to where we were staying. This CVS is so crowded at the pharmacy. There's another CVS close by but that pharmacy is never open, so that's probably why everyone comes to this CVS. The lines are so long but once you get to the front, the people working there are patient and efficient. While my husband was in the room for the clinic, my daughter and I was walking around the store. We found some pretty good deals on Christmas items for 50% off. After my husband was done, they gave him some anitbiotics and we were on our way. He said the room was small but he was glad to be seen. read more

The clerk who literally had to simply hand the package to me over the counter had the world's worst attitude, which made for the worst possible experience. The pharmacy staff are very unhelpful and unprofessional. When trying to pick up your medication they barely try to listen to you. I once needed a COVID shot due to pre-existing condition however the main pharmacist refused to give it to me. Looking forward to when Amazon prescription delivery has wider coverage so this whole need to have in-store pharmacies becomes unnecessary. The staff are very friendly. The facility is too small and crowded. Made appointment for flu shot. Arrived ten minutes early. Check in is disorganized. The vaccine area was pinched in an aisle. Very crowded because shots are scheduled in fifteen minute intervals. The person administering the shots was taking ten minutes per person. The family of four that was ahead of us made us at least an half late. We left. Too make matters worse. The family of four brought their dog with them that was hopping about. Went in at around 3:40 pm on Friday, 7/28. I had two items and wanted to use the self-checkout. The clerk was being rude to nearly everyone, and when I got confused by the machine saying "put your bag in the bagging area" and I didn't have a bag, he was zero help. It wouldn't let me start scanning the items, so I didn't know what to do. The pharmacist Mai was amazing, I came in on a Friday morning with urgent prescriptions, she understood the urgency, cared for me as a person and for my relative who needed the medications; she was extremely fast, professional, and empathetic - something that should have taken an hour she did in less than 10 minutes while also doing other work staffing the shelves. Wow, thank you! I even got teary because she was so awesome and caring - she should be promoted and given a raise for her exemplary work and care. My go-to place for greeting cards, nail clippers, and cough drops. Decent selection and prices for those items. They also carry groceries, toys, school/office supplies, and the like... but it's usually better to go to the proper stores for these things. Customer service is bad. I guess this is to be expected when the employees are (presumably) paid minimum wage. Still. During yesterday's visit, at least two employees were wandering the floor, evidently aimlessly. Meanwhile, the single open checkout line grew and grew. To be fair, this is not always the case, as sometimes two lanes are open. I bought two 2-liter bottles of soda and two 12.5-oz bags of Doritos tortilla chips. The Longs checker, whose anonymity shall remain preserved even though the name is printed on my receipt, used two grocery bags (so far so good) but put one bottle of soda and one bag of chips in each. What, the, crap. This is akin to bagging a carton of eggs and a watermelon together. Once I got out of the store, I rearranged the items. In case the noobtastic checker is reading this, here's a free lesson on bagging people's stuff. Heavy, smashy things like 2-liter bottles of soda should be bagged separately from light, smashable things like tortilla chips. When you bag them together, as you did yesterday, the smashy things tend to smash the smashable things. And tortilla chips are inherently more enjoyable than tortilla crumbs. For sale items, Longs prices are pretty competitive. The soda was on sale for $0.89 each (plus $0.10 CRV each)... and the Doritos were on sale for $3.79, buy-one-get-one-free. I'd venture to guess that's better than I could do at either Lucky or Safeway. This doesn't contradict my point about going to the supermarket for groceries instead of Longs; I was already in the store to buy a greeting card. This last part doesn't factor into the rating... As I walked back to my car, a random customer leaving Lucky (next door) made a lame joke about my shirt. People in *obese* houses shouldn't throw stones. read more

Usually I only stop by CVS to drop off/pick up a prescription or by some OTC medicine. The rest of the items in the store are typically overpriced and you're better off getting them at a grocery store (though they do sales after holidays to get rid of stuff and that might be a better time to try for some seasonal items). While it usually doesn't matter much to me if someone says "Welcome" to me when I enter a store, on my latest trip, the cashier made an extra effort to acknowledge every person that walked in the door, so props to him. If you don't have a CVS card, get one because there are always special discounts and earn points (though I haven't quite figured out the loyalty program). You can just give the phone number that its linked to (no need for a physical card) when checking out. Overall, great place for filling prescriptions as needed and in a convenient location. Lots of parking as this lot is usually not filled (unless 99 next door is packed). read more

ive been going to this CVS (Longs Drugs) for 15+ years now. Closest to my house, although I worked at the Sunnyvale-Saratoga one during high school days. The store is large and easy to find things, but my only complaint is their customer service. There'll be a fatty line, yet they have one register open. And don't even get me started on the pharmacy. I've worked in all different areas at CVS (Longs) and we've never had such long lines like this. Yesterday I go to pick up my prescription..there's a long line, 5 Pharmacists/Technicians, and ONE person handling the cash register. REALLY? Like not one person can help the guy out? Then when it gets to my turn, the one who's manning the cashier is putting prescriptions into the boxes. and you see all the pharmacists/technicians chatting and laughing, and i caught one's eye. she just turned away and continued to gossip to. so irritating. I'm seriously considering changing my pharmacy because this always happens. So irritating and a waste of people's time. read more

I love this CVS. THE PHARMACY is top notch and never leave me hanging on the phone waiting for them for half an hour before they pick up when I call (like the other local pharmacy that starts with a "W" ) The pharmacists always try to help and are very informative. I run them through the ringer looking for prescription discounts and they're always so helpful and patient. The other day I was looking for specific OTC ear drops the doctor prescribed for my hubby's severe covid shot reaction and the pharmacist couldn't find any on the shelf but said I should ask Lou, a cashier, up front. So, I asked Lou and he immediately looked to see if it was misplaced on the shelf, it wasn't, then said they just got a huge shipment that hadn't been put away yet but he would go look for the ear drops (small package) in the back. Lou gladly went in the back to look through the recent shipment (which wasn't that easy to do as he has a limp so walking is more difficult than normal)- Lou was only gone about 3 minutes and came back with the hard to find product and a smile! Lou had a great attitude about helping us and didn't even mind that the product had been put in the wrong bin in the back warehouse area. We truly appreciated Lou helping us when we felt so desperate to get something quickly without having to go to another store to hunt for it. Because of Lou's he'll and attitude our stress melted away. Lou , you're the best! Thank you for your help and for being so friendly every time we enter the CVS store.
