This is my closest CVS so it's the one I go to the most. - Parking is plentiful - The workers there range from neutral (not friendly but not rude) to awesome (friendly and caring). Shout out to Joy for going out of her way to help me. - Pharmacy line always seems way too long. Nothing wrong with the service (just too many customers) so I'd advise getting your medications filled elsewhere if you're impatient like me. - Store is always clean, organized, and decently stocked. read more

I was just in the store around 6:15 pm and the young sales girl helped me find a tube of Blistex lip balm. I have been using this particular medicated balm with SPF 15 for years. Please don't go there for Flu shots. The person who did the shot seemed like she was on some medication herself. My husband got a huge bruise the next day. For my 3 years old daughter? I see that she didn't push the whole vaccine in so there are vaccines on her skin after the needle was out of her log. The 2nd day, her leg went swollen and couldn't walk properly. This review is mostly for the evening shift male supervisor who is a liar if not a racist. I finished shopping the other day and wanted to use the bathroom, he told me the bathroom is not open to public, I told him I am a customer, and he repeated the same thing and added that the county ordered the bathrooms to be closed due to covid. So I was refused the right to use the bathroom as a customer and had to rush home -- glad that I didn't get into any accident. I complained in the customer survey and next day the store manager responded and said they do have a bathroom dedicated to the customer which the supervisor lied about. The store manager said that it will not happen again but would not mention any action against this clear discrimination against Asian Americans read more

I have been a CVS customer for a long time. I even used to work at CVS. This place, especially the pharmacy is the worst. The pharmacist told me that my family was filling too many prescriptions at their pharmacy and that she didn't want to do it. I complained to the manager and she told me to go elsewhere. The lady who worked at the cash register today, after I found out my coupon was not working and decided to cancel the transaction, all of a sudden gave me the face(you know the you did not buy anything face) and left me hanging, I was standing there trying to find out if I should wait for her to give me an acknowledgement or I should just leave, just not very professional showing her emotions like that. I came in today at 7:05pm with my dog and went straight to the cashier area upon coming in to get something real quick, i walked miles to come to this location. I was stopped by this old really large white guy wearing a plaid brown shirt, looked like a manager, he told me right away "no dogs allowed, you will have to leave." Told him I've been to CVS in the past and had no issue and he said the state is being more strict now. At NO TIME did he ever ask me if my dog was a service dog, or requested documentation, he just straight up said no dogs allowed you have to leave. He was very rude, I will never come back to this CVS again. The only saving grace is the nice Indian cashier guy who is helpful and kind, otherwise that guy who stopped me and told me to leave really left a bad experience and felt very unprofessional. read more

CVS sucks MAJOR donkey balls. Unfortunately, every month i have no choice but to go to the pharmacy to refill on my Zyrtec -D for my allergies. I arrive at 8:15 pm, around 45 min before they close and naturally everyone else in the F-in neighborhood has rushed there as well to get their drugs before they close. 7 people in line. One cashier. Unbelievable. Finally, one of the bleary eyed pharmacists comes over to help move the line. 30 minutes later i have my meds. Next time, I will be going out of my way to go to Walgreens. P.S. (Did you know CVS is so cheap that instead of hiring a janitor they make the experienced licensed pharmacists clean the toilet???) Disgusting. read more

Ah CVS. What can I say? Not much. You actually fill prescriptions that Walgreens no longer does because they hate Blue Shield. So yay for that. This particular location is a little run down. They seem to be doing some sort of construction or something in the back. Moving shelves and the store around. In a constant state of re-organization. Customer service is friendly and fast. It bugs me that, like Safeway, you need a card to get the "deals". I never carry it with me and I've never actually added my phone number to the card. Pain in the neck. Overview: If 80% the De Anza Pharmacy Staff offered the same level of customer service at Jack in the Box, they would all get fired. Seriously. I'm not being hyperbolic. I have been a using the De Anza pharmacy for 10 years. Over the past year the pharmacy staff has become unbearable. They are incredibly rude and dismissive. They make mistakes on virtually every prescription order and refuse to make any real effort to address the mistakes. I've attempted to renew a medicine that has health risks associated with stopping and not tapering off. Only once in my last 6 orders have they gotten in right, forcing me to stop the medicine cold turkey every month. In my case, they promised to make a note in the system to prevent the same mistakes from occurring. When I asked Michelle to read me that note after the 5th staff mistake in 6 months, she first walked away from the window while I was mid-sentence, then returned with a piece of paper that proved she had made a mistake, and then refused to share any information about what was in my records. The staff being completely unprofessional and disrespectful is one thing when you are in the right. If that were the case I might have left 3 stars and I would still be a customer. But when you are wrong and then rude about it, especially when there are health concerns involved, management needs to address the problem. After over 10 years of being a customer at this location, I have finally reached my breaking point. I am going to move to a pharmacy 3 times as far from my house. In one year, this staff has managed to loose a life long, loyal customer. Side Note: the women up front are all delightful. Honestlly I love the longs that closed down on Stevens Creek more than this location just because that one was closer to me. My favorite service that Longs provides is the online photo processing in 1 hour. Just upload your pictures from your home computer and finish the order and an hour later it will be at Longs printed and ready to go. Cheap too only 19 cents per print. I like doing it this way because I edit the photos and crop them before I upload it to Longs rather getting the the plain poorly taken photo I get a fluffed and photoshopped version. However whenever I go to pick up my photos I always find things I need on sale. Also, more than once a Longs cashier has said,"Oh there's a special deal for this" and flips through their coupon book and gives me the discounted rate. WOW.. I feel special. I have never used the pharmacy at this location but I have used the pharmacy at the closed location. It was a bit of slow service but no complaints otherwise. Doctor was always nice too. read more

Is this CVS bigger than most stores or what? I just bought a few toiletry items which came out to $70. How the hell did that happen? $70??? Anyways, there was no line when I paid, but I can see why some Yelpers were frustrated when they had to wait in a long line in order to pay. I feel like most if not all CVSs have at most two or three cashier lines, so this location doesn't seem out of the ordinary with its two. read more

Terribly slow and borderline incompetent. They tried to give me the wrong photo, and then didn't have mine when I pointed out the error. They said they could print it out in 30-45 minutes (they have no control over there printing order apparently) but I gave up after it didn't come out in the 45. During this time I was able to witness just how slow their checkout people can be (causing a huge line) and that they aren't very good at taking passport photos. I've been going to this Longs, now CVS, since it was uhhhhh .... named something else back in the 60s ... My boitch is about the Pharmacy under CVS. Not the Pharmacy employees, they are the same helpful souls that have been there for years. However, since CVS took over, they've obviously changed their policies. What used to take a reasonable amount of time to get a scrip filled now takes, on average, 3 DAYS !!! 3 days of trying to get them to be proactive in contacting my doctor, 3 days of different responses to my questions on the status of my scrip. Fehhhhhhh ! Generics drugs I've been taking for years ? They don't carry them ! Buy the name brand drug instead I'm told. Call Costco and get a price for the name brand and bring THAT in and we'll match it I'm told ! Well paying $4 vs $40 is a big deal in my book, and what is with the Costco shenanigans ? Sheeesh ! I called up Walgreen's Pharmacy on Bollinger in Cupertino and they took care of me in 3 minutes ! I'm transferring all my scrips to Wallgreen's ... who needs the hassle eh ? ... and lastly, has anyone else noticed virtually everything CVS carries that Long's used to, they've jacked the price up ? The pharmacists at this CVS pharmacy are unprofessional, but I've continued to return out of convenience - the location is closest to my mom's house and I've received my medications here since the days when it was Longs Drugs. I never thought to yelp about the place until I visited yesterday. I walked into a circus! The pharmacist I dealt with was entirely rude, busy arguing with her coworkers while handling my request. I had to repeat myself several times to get through to her. Really lady, you have a single customer to deal with and you can't put the bickering aside for a minute? Meanwhile, her fellow pharmacist was attempting to label an open bottle of pills, which, you guessed it, spilled all over the carpet. She picked them up one by one and placed them back in the bottle. Who knows if those were sold. Outside of the pharmacy, I will say that they do not consistently have my key toiletries in stock, which can be a real pain. Maybe I should finally break my ties and move to the Walgreens on Blaney. read more

I have HAD it with this place. I will never step in there again. It's HORRIBLE-HORRIBLE-HORRIBLE. The "Reminder" calls are harassing me. Their "auto-fills" which are on their own time schedule drive me nuts. Their LACK of medicine when it's refilled EVERY month causes me to return many days in a row. I just can't take it anymore. I don't know if all CVS have the same procedures but the thought of it is causing me to steer clear of them. The Walgreens and Rid-Aids in the nearby cities are dirty and I really don't want to stop in those places especially when I'm looking for medicine. I've been picking up prescriptions here for over 10 years and it's gotten worse and worse. I SWEAR I will NOT step into this store again. read more

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. I went to pick up a prescription and all went well. I got what I needed and had all of my medication-related questions answered by the kind pharmacist. The technician that helped me was nice too... Although, I found it odd how she lifted her leg up onto the stand that holds the bags and leaned onto the counter. Not very professional, but it's not affecting me or my Rx. I bought a bottle of water and the cashiers were kind to me and promptly rung me up. No acknowledgement when I entered the store or got in line, which is whatever to me, but I know that it's a CVS policy to acknowledge every customer. I didn't have a problem with how they treated me, but I did have a problem with how they treated a fellow customer. A woman came up to the register to ask about an apparent sale on packs of soda cans. You can tell her English skills were subpar and I thought the employees would be tolerant of that, as this is an area where people from all over the globe either visit or come to reside. Instead, both of the employees raised their voices, saying "It's Mountain Dew, Pepsi, [some other sodas]! Not all of that! You have to read the sign! It says right there which ones are on sale!" ...She doesn't seem to have a hearing problem, so no need to yell. The woman apologized profusely for her language skills and for "creating a problem", but one of them continued to tell her to read the sign. Wtf? That irked me! So insensitive! They need to undergo another customer service training seminar or something. Overall, I would've given 5 stars had I not witnessed this incident. read more

This pharmacy seems horribly understaffed and unable to function. I stood in the drop off line to buy Sudafed. The lady told me I had to go to the puck up line because they didn't do that there. The Sudafed was within arms reach of her. The pick up line was five deep and hadn't moved in the ten minutes I'd been waiting. There was one person staffing the pick up line. Do not get your prescriptions filled there unless you plan on taking a day off work to wait hours to pick them up. As it was, I just left because I had a life to get back to and couldn't wait two hours. read more

This is my home-base drugstore so I've been coming here to get the many medications my kids have been on as well as my own meds whenever I got sick. This CVS is really big and just recently underwent a renovation that turned out really well. The pharmacists are usually pretty nice, and they usually provide me good service even though some of my children's meds can be quite bothersome. That being said, the wait here is definitely really long, whether it's to drop off or pick up. I kind of bear with it because it's so close to my house and I guess I'm a creature of habit, but their time estimates usually end up being shorter than the actual wait and that can be kind of annoying. Also, sometimes I ask them to announce through the PA when my prescription is ready and I've had to come back and check half an hour later only to find it had been ready for 15 min. read more

WHY YOU SHOULD NOT GO TO WALGREENS AND COME HERE, and why you shouldn't walk up to the counter: Finally had all my prescriptions switched to THIS cvs. I had been at the Walgreens on Bollinger, but I was really tired of the super short and irregular hours over there and the surly pharmacist who acted like he was doing you some massive favor by even speaking to you. After my wife's surgery last summer she was given a prescription that could only legally be filled in small batches. This meant I was having to go back every couple days. There was usually a line but multiple people working. If you walk up to the counter and they don't acknowledge you it's because you're not supposed to do that. They are busy medicine/insurance wizards with miles of paperwork to do with every transaction. Be courteous and stay behind the line until you are called, even if you are the only one there. The person you walked up to may not be the next available otherwise, which is another reason they may keep typing away. I have been very impressed by their staff's friendliness and helpfulness, and found their pharmacy hours to be immensely better than Walgreens, being open pretty late actually. I miss having a drive through option, but even walking in to get my prescription has been faster than the drive through at Walgreens. read more

I go to this pharmacy to get my RX. The pharmacists are all very nice and very professional. I sometimes pick up some groceries, too. They let me pay for the RX and the groceries at the same time. And with my phone number registered they even automatically apply the coupons. I don't see any reason why anybody has any complaints. read more

I was extremely irritated how long I had to wait for my prescription and how misinformed I was (10-15 minutes) if I had been told it would take longer I would have come back for it at a later time. They even filled people's prescription who came AFTER me. Horrible CVS, I will stick to my usual Saratoga CVS which has awesome customer service. read more

Went to pick up antibiotics for my child who has an ear infection. When I got home it turned out that the prescription was not mixed properly. It was supposed to be a suspension (liquid) but was just white powder. Since the pharmacy was closed when I found this out I was unable to get the "correct" medicine until the next morning. I don't have prescriptions filled very often but this has happened to me before which leads me to believe that this probably happens all of the time. I had the same issue at a Target Pharmacy where a wrong medicine was given (the pharmacist later admitted he couldn't read the doctor's prescription). The bottom line is to make sure to check that your prescription is correct (dose, modality, pill count, etc) if possible as soon as you can (preferably when picking it up). We all make mistakes but I now know that I made the mistake by not opening the bag they gave me with the medicine in it to confirm I had the correct prescription medication. It's unfortunate that we can't always trust we are given what we are supposed to receive. Though they were friendly enough to "fix" the issue the next morning I feel it's unacceptable that such a mistake was made. read more

The rudest pharmacists you'll ever meet. I made an appointment to get a flu shot here a few months ago when a pharmacist told me over the phone that you could NOT walk in to get one (I've never encountered this policy before). Sure enough, once I showed up at my assigned time, they informed me that they had run out, and that you could walk in to get the shot. When I voiced my dissatisfaction at their inability to provide consistent information, one of the female Indian pharmacists - I don't recall her name - yelled (yes, yelled at top volume) at me in the crowded pharmacy area. I've moved my prescriptions to Rite Aid on Homestead and De Anza permanently. They have helpful and polite pharmacists. read more

They've done so many mistakes and they don't even care to help. They would put it on you if you didn't reach out for a refill on time, then make it seem like it was your fault to be unmedicated for 5 days straight. Shopper beware! This Cvs and only in my experience this CVS not only mixes up prescriptions. They also call you and tell you that you have something ready when you either already picked it up or they haven't bothered to fill it despite the fact that they have had the order to fill for 8 days now. I have never had an experience where they have gotten it correct so far. I also was almost given the wrong prescription. I went in for allergy medicine and almost was sent home with Alzheimer's medicine. I don't have Alzheimer!!!! Speaking with the manger has gotten me nowhere I even went to corporate that also while they did take a report have yet to improve this location. I will never use them again. My life depends on them getting this stuff right and they fail me every time and others I've spoken to have the same issue, Rude staff as well as people who don't take the time to read and make sure they type the orders correctly. People's lives are in these people's hands and they don't seem to care.I've noticed more bad then good, Maybe the home offfice would notice this and take action before someone dies and a lawsuit is filed to shut them down. read more

If you can find another pharmacy to fill your prescriptions go there first. Ever since this place went from Long's to CVS the pharmacy personnel has gone downhill. Some are okay, but one in particular is so bad at what she does you wonder how they can put someone like this behind the counter to help people who need medication. This person, and some others. are RUDE, impersonal and just plain BS you when you need a question answered. I don't know why. I myself try to be pleasant, respectful and polite, but get nothing but disrespect and abruptness in return. I think it's the culture at this local pharmacy. I've HAD it and will be transferring to another pharmacy. Once again, if you can get refills at another pharmacy, I recommend you do so. read more
