My favorite for service as hectic as it can be is CVS for the pharmacy has good hours and better personnel then most others including Safeway around the corner but today 4/04/2026 that was a hard 5 is now a one star yes as the technician/pharmacist close minutes early before the end of day, a gentleman walked up, basically yelled at her for closing early and said he would be an asshole that apparently got her attention through the close gate he gave the information to her and she pulled his prescription. To me and Hispanic American I was really pissed off when she kept on saying I'm close. I'm close system down when I pointed out that she's ringing him up and he's paying $100 cash for his prescription, she kept on saying system down I'm closed. so take a look at the picture. Tell me if that's closed or is she actually working so she gets a one star. read more

Previous to Jan 2026, this pharmacy was pretty decent. This is now a sh$t show. There are at least 12 cameras behind the pharmacy with 3 employees working all of whom were ignoring the customers standing in the que. Once someone did come to the register, named Su, she was so rude, does not speak english well, and was super unhelpful. Told this one pharmacist to come to the counter - also ESL speaker - also super rude was so frustrated from not knowing what to do - she just said "come back tomorrow!" Mind you this was already after 24 HOURS of WAITING FOR THEM TO DO THEIR JOBS! I said no that I would not. Then the 3 pharmacy workers started bickering amongst themselves each blaming the other for the problems. I waited more than 40 MINUTES!!! Then Su, announced she is going home and began grabbing her phone and belongings and beginning to shut down. Said she wouldnt help anymore because she had already checked out for the day! So. much more to this but this has to be the worst customer service experience I've ever received from CVS Danville. Where are all the usual people who work in the pharmacy who are kind and helpful? If you want to go out of business like Rite Aid and go into bankruptcy and close stores like Walgreens - keep it up. Amazon pharmacy is coming for your jobs and if you provide no value to customers we will all leave you too. Absolute assholes. The pharmacy staff is very helpful and friendly but the service is not good due to an extreme understaffing situation. These poor employees are doing everything they can to help their customers but just do not have enough people. The store is so over stocked with private label and such a shortage of brand OTC products. I want to pay for branded pharmaceuticals not your PL. The packaging is deceiving and is intentionally designed to confuse the customers. You use the same colors, graphics and font. This store has the rudest associates I have dealt with at any CVS. I came in to get a micro USB cable. I looked around by the self check and couldnt find it. I looked in another area and some lady with a "health hub" shirt asked me if I had "any questions", I said "No. I'm looking for something (I didn't need any health care information)". I found what I wanted, paid for it, opting to not get a bag as it fit in my pocket (bulging out a bit) and as I left I asked the other associate if they had a restroom. She mumbled something and pointed and I managed to find it. The restroom was clean so that's the reason this review is a 2. On my way out, I was accused of shoplifting by the "health hub" lady. I got upset and said she had no right to accuse me and challenged her saying if I could prove it the store should reimburse me (for the public humiliation) and after I held up my receipt she didn't even apologize she just insisted that it was store policy. She said there was no manager on site and I could come back on Friday which I am going to do. I was very upset and humiliated by them. Terrible store. Public humiliation for a $10 cable. the good is that CVS is open for long hours though the pharmacy may not be. the bad-pricing isn't cheap, inventory available isn't that diverse, healthy nor fresh. Came to do a review based on recent experienced and found that this Pharmacy is rated very low. Issues I have right now and in the past include; -Text from pharmacy that prescription is ready, but its not when I get there. -Lines....LONG waits. They don't have enough staff. -Being told a prescription is not ready as its on back order, only to magically be told they have it a few minutes later. I'm done....need to find a better local option. We spend too much time running back and forth to this pharmacy and then waiting in long lines. read more

I've never been to a pharmacy with such consistently long lines. The employees also don't seem to care at all. They will lazily walk around behind the counter, chit chatting, while 20+ customers are standing in line waiting for over 30 mins. My last visit they did one patient every 5 mins. I walked in with 2 people in front of me and by the time i walked out there 10+ people in line. read more

I came by here the other night looking specifically for a particular body wash which the CVS website said was in stock at this store. When I got there it looked like they were out of it. I asked the employees and they said they didn't have any in the back room and that their website is inaccurate. Sucks cuz I went out of my way to go to this store. Their shelves in general were very spotty, they didn't have a lot of inventory. Good thing there's a Walgreens across the street since I found what I needed there. read more

The pharmacy is a disaster. It's chronically understaffed with overworked employees doing their best to keep up. Today I waited in line for 20+ minutes to pick up my prescription. Despite 8 people in line, I had to flag down a manager to open a second counter window. Two people left in frustration. Unfortunately, this is the rule rather than an exception. Yep, I'm giving the minute clinic inside CVS five stars...let me explain.... About a month ago, I read an article in Time magazine about how The Minute Clinics were changing healthcare. They offer an array of basic screenings, shots, physicals etc for no more than $99/visit. They target people who have high deductible plans (like myself) or those without insurance and are a way to manage costs for simple doctor visits. Who knew? I noted it for any future illness. Monday I was under the weather and made an appointment at my doctor in San Ramon. I chickened out of the Minute Clinic at the last minute because I was unsure--could they handle possible strep? I have a high-deductible plan and have to pay 100% of all costs prior to meeting my $2600 deductible. My visit last Monday will probably run me $300 plus lab fees to cover the strep test. Ouch. I left with no prescription and directions to take a decongestant. All accurate. Ok fine. Ouch, but fine. Today I woke up with bad ear and sinus pain and I knew I had to go back to get re-checked. Ugh--the thought of going back to a long-wait at doctor's office sounded miserable. I didn't chicken out today and was there right when they opened at 10am. It was wonderful!!! $79 that gets billed to my insurance (which I will later have to pay) and a prescription faxed to my pharmacy. There wasn't even pressure to get the prescription filled at CVS! I was in and out in 25. Lisa, the physician's assistant that was working was completely thorough and sweet. Everything is automated, clean and completely efficient. I will be back for sure. I'm a complete fan of this convenient concept! read more

My sister and I went to the Danville CVS to get our passport photos. We were in and out in about 15 minutes. The gal who took our photos was cheery and professional and it was a pleasure to do this. I recommend this store to get photos and was not expensive either. read more

I'm honestly shocked by the phone conversation I just had with the pharmacist here. My doctor sent a prescription here for me for the first time. I'd previously been using Walgreens, had some difficulty with them having medications in stock, so wanted to try CVS, since it is also near my house. The pharmacist called me questioning my doctors location- I explained I use Stanford, so yes they're in Palo Alto/Menlo Park, but I live right down the road in Danville. Then he asked why I'd never used them before. I explained I'd previously used Walgreens but was wanting to try CVS. He then said he would essentially do me a favor and fill the prescription this one time, but his concern was taking care of "his patients" and he wanted me to go back to Walgreens for future prescriptions. I'm in healthcare and this conversation completely baffled me. This is a large chain of pharmacies. I should be able to fill a prescription wherever my doctor sends it. For example, if I'm visiting Houston and the nearest pharmacy is X and my doctor sends it there, that should be no problem. Or if I move and the CVS is more convenient than another pharmacy, I should be able to start filling my prescriptions there. I should also be able to switch from Walgreens to CVS if I want. The whole line of questioning and response was totally confusing to me. In the past I always used CVS, but where I lived previously Walgreens was the better option (and that switch occurred seamlessly). I guess this answers my question - no need to switch to the CVS near my house! read more

I was "tricked" into enrolling in CarePass. I thought I was just verifying my email and phone number as I was checking out at the register. I have tried numerous times to cancel online and by phone. Although I made it very clear that I wanted to cancel, I was repeatedly bombarded with a sales pitch. I was able to finally cancel it today (I think) and will NEVER go into another CVS. If they need to be this devious with their plan, I don't want to do business with them. read more

I was asked if I would like to join EXTRA CARE card. There is no charge for it. You get 10.00 a month, which makes you go there every month to get your 10.00. most likely you spend way more then $10.00. Well, they forgot to tell you it only last 3 months. THEN, they charge your credit card either $4.55 or 5.44 each month. This goes on until you realize what they are doing. This is very deceptive. I called and they would not Refund me the charges. BE careful and look at your charges everyday. It looks like your charged at CVS, but it is really the EXTRA CARE charges. Be Careful. read more

I decided to visit this store for an over-the-counter med that I was having difficulty finding. This after I phoned them earlier in the morning and they dropped the call. I should have taken this as an omen. I couldn't find a floor associate so I went to the pharmacy counter. The associate there seemed annoyed with me when I reiterated the circumstances for visiting the store. In fact, she talked through what I was trying to say, evidently anxious to get rid of me. By the time I'd left the store and was back in my car, I'd found the product on Amazon and bought it. Can't imagine why I didn't do this in the first place. I'm updating my review of this store from last month. I complained that they were understaffed and that they botched a photo order and handled it poorly. The manager called me to say they had re-done the job and he gave us a $10 credit on our CVS account, and was very apologetic. I've been back a couple of times since and there was more staff around. The pharmacist did not even enter the correct information and expected me as the customer to do the work for her. I was not surprised reading negative reviews about CVS pharmacy in Danville, and will add my own one-star. The pharmacy staff is the rudest and dishonest, starting with a pharm technician and all way up to the "manager" Nelson (the name on his tag.) I brought a 75 year old mother-in-law for a booster shot. First, the tech and then the manager made up a story that she wasn't eligible, even if the CDC clearly stated that she was. When I said so, the new excuse was that she couldn't get Moderna because CDC didn't specifically authorized Moderna for the booster (another lie). Then I suggested to use Pfizer, and the manager said that for that she needs two previous Pfizer shots (a lie) to be eligible and then referred to some obscure corporate policy by blaming a faceless CVS corporation bureaucrat for refusing the booster shot. His main push back was that he is not going to lose his job by approving the booster shot (!!!) After I told him that my mother in law is on an immunosuppressant, his new excuse was - her medication dose was not high enough (he made it up right in front of me). Then, he told us to go away, he "was done talking", and since he, the manager, has a license (I certainly hope he does working in the pharmacy) he knows better. I hope someone in the "corporate" reads the reviews and will get this guy straight. Meanwhile, stay away from this CVS pharmacy, and if you must go there, complain loudly and write nasty reviews on Yelp! read more

I gave this cvs 1 star for plenty of parking. The first thing i see walking into this store is the hideous carpet. It's dirty and looks too used. There's no welcome from employees. A long time ago, when i got sick i filled a couple prescriptions at this pharmacy but every time the pharmacy had a line and the pharm clerks/techs had horrible customer service, as if they hated their jobs.
