Everytime I come into this specific CVS this same employee always seems to be grouchy, and bothered that you're there, like you're interrupting him from whatever he's doing. Looks like ex military, mid to late 50's, Gray hair, flat top haircut, 6ft tall, slender built. Body language goes a long way in how you make people feel! It does seem like all CVS's are poor in customer service. The one on Mission Gorge Rd. in Santee has a large, heavy set woman with dark hair that is extremely cranky all the time, reason I switched to this store but it seems there's 1 at every store so I have to deal with it. read more

This is a review for the minute clinic*** Besides the fact that they are over priced for a walk in clinic, I decided to come here because I needed a place open after work that would be fast. All I needed were antibiotics for what I already knew was a sinus infection. I showed up at 5:00pm on a Wednesday (They Close At 8:30), figuring 3 and a half hours was ample time. After waiting 2 hours, I was finally informed that I, along with three other patients that had been waiting, would not be seen and should come in at 8:30 AM WITHOUT A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. Wait for two hours for nothing than risk it again? Without so much as a courtesy appointment? No thanks. CVS, just like your prescription prices, your minute clinic is USELESS. read more

It's open 24hours in a decent neighborhood. It's clean & well stocked. What else can you ask for? Staff has always been nice to me.

Pharmacy techs are rude to the customer and really do not have the customer's needs in mind. I am disabled so my husband picks up my meds and he has go to the store manager more than once due to the pharmacy tech's ineptness. Additionally, the pharmacists lie about what they have in stock therefore, making the customer go to another store or not fulfill their whole prescription making the customer come back again to fulfill the complete prescription. We used to love this pharmacy then they moved everyone out and now it's all new people who are basically inept. read more

I go in at 1:20 and of course they're not all done so I get out of line and wait YET AGAIN... as always. Dennis looks up my prescription and expedites the order. I get home and he has processed the wrong prescription! Instead of the prescription that I need, he processes the one that I ARCHIVED via CVS.com. How can this pharmacy be so incompetent. Phillip is the best at this pharmacy. He is a worker that truly takes his job seriously. I've never had a problem with any of the other staff. I buy my babies formula and diapers here. Great price on the formula, it is the CVS brand which is exactly like the enfamil infant. I save $5 as opposed to buying it at target. Great customer service, I'm in and out quickly and the customer service is great. I love the very convenient location and how clean it is on the inside. They never have you stuff ready at all. I waited 20 minutes for them to simply mix medicine. I called in today, they said it would be ready in 15 min, I came in 20 minutes later and waited 20 more minutes. The people are nice, but they simply can't do their jobs well. read more

If only I could give this CVS pharmacy less than one star, I would. After sitting all day at Urgent Care for bronchitis and after Walgreens (my preferred pharmacy) was closed I went here, desperately. HUGE MISTAKE! I go in, no big deal and hand my prescription list to NATHAN. I could tell he was overwhelmed being the only one working on a busy Saturday, I was understanding and patient, expressing my sympathies to him. But just because you're stressed doesn't mean you can be a total jerk to someone! I simply asked him what my total amount would be for all of my medications and I gave him my insurance card, I just wanted to know the amount not to entirely fill my prescriptions, so much for listening! I told him to only fill one of the medications I needed, he said, "okay." However, being a college student I am on my parents health care plan and I asked him if I could use my fathers' HVA account he said, "yes, but it has to be in person." Shoot, I'm here for college and my parents are in another state. I understood and my dad suggested I just go to my insurances' pharmacy since they'll be able to link my insurance to his HVA account (the only reason I went to CVS is because it was 24 hours rather than waiting until Monday through my doctor). When I told Nathan I wanted to cancel my prescription and that I would be taking it to my pediatrician it was like, Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde! He said, "well this will give me some experience of CANCELING an order." very sarcastically and threw my list back at me and basically told me I wasted his precious time! I can not believe a person like this works with the public. What a jerk! I know Nathan it is so difficult to press a button that says, cancel order. This Long's Drug location was converted to a CVS and it's the one my mom prefers over the one near her house because they carry her meds here and don't hassle her like Walgreen's did. Easy parking, scuzzy on the outside, clean and friendly on the inside. Be sure to lock your car doors. read more

This store is centrally located in El Cajon right across the street from Parkway Plaza. I like this store because it really easy to get in and out. It use to be the old Longs Drug Store, Since CVS has taking it over, it has really modernized the store and clean it up a bit also. Great deals on pretty much everything and actually great deals on beer and wine believe it or not. I have get all my drugs from this location. Ten year customer and I am finally done. I will be transferring to Walgreens. I have walked out on the clerks twice this month. They try their hardest but they just don't have enough staff to support this very busy pharmacy. I see they are training new people, but they have lost my prescriptions multiple times (they text me they are ready and when I arrive there is nothing for me or I wait in line for 30 minutes and then there is a problem when I get to the check out) I think they are just at a point they can't handle any more and my time is too valuable to wait that long. If you need any sort of consultation do NOT come to this pharmacy. The last few times I've been there they barely help and I feel that I'm being a huge burden. They are absolutely f'ing clueless! They look at you with a stupid look when asking for the simplest thing. This CVS doesn't even compare with the other one on Broadway in El Cajon. They are quick, friendly and efficient, they always have a drug you need and don't run out like the one on Broadway either. Also I couldn't believe it, I called a prescription in and said that we had transferred all of our prescriptions and they are on automatic refill so I didn't know which ones were needed. Went down there today and they bring out 4 just like that and most needed the doctor to refill them. This pharmacy must call the doctor directly without waiting for him to respond to the fax which takes forever. Also the CVS on Broadway will only automatically refill certain drugs and others you have to call in yourself..this CVS refilled 3 of them that the other wouldn't otherwise. I had my wisdom teeth pulled and had a prescription filled here. It clearly said 3 times a day for 7 days. I was given 14 pills. No big deal. Although you should be able to do simple math... I called in my prescription while I was at school so I could pick it up after. The woman I spoke with said it was fine and that she would make sure I get my remaining 7 pills. I showed up and waited 15 minutes in line. I get up to the front finally and they have no record. I get sent to another line where he can't find anything and finally finds it. It took 3 people to make a decision as to whether or not they should fill it. Duh you should fill the rest of it, I HAVE to take it. So they made me wait another 20 minutes for them to fill it. Now I'm in line again to pick it up. I've been here for almost an hour now. I understand being understaffed, but I'm pretty pissed off and there is no excuse for the lack of follow through. read more

I attempted to print pictures from my iPhone using the Kodak kiosk with NO SUCCESS!! We attempted to link using WiFI, Bluetooth and cable, an hour later still no pictures.. Do you think the manager cared? No one but in fact she laughed because she knew their POS!! Just an update, the pharmacist there, her name is Stephanie I believe, she is very professional and on top of things... I think that this pharmacy is really starting to get things together over there. That is great! I would just recommend calling before hand to verify if the RX is complete, and I would recommend going in during off hours, i.e. later at night or mid day, not around 5 pm, because the line is horrendous! They go beyond what's expected of them to help people get their medications and do so with a positive attitude. This place sucks to the tenth POWER! I got the runaround from Santee to 2nd Street El Cajon to Jackson Drive then to Navajo Road. Sinus & ear infection with massive headache. The pharmacy at Navajo told me, after waiting in line for 10-15 minutes, the person ahead of me was to be the last person to be helped. It was 6:45 when I arrived when they close at 8:00. Why was that never mentioned to me while I'm waiting in pain? I plead my case to the drop off woman about the runaround & my pain and need for my prescriptions, but it was just drop it off and we'll get it to you tomorrow. ASOLUTLEY no concern for my condition. I recently came from Walgreen's Pharmacy and this place is an improvement. When I walk in there is always a person available to assist you, even if they are busy they acknowledge you and they keep in communication with you that they will be with you in just a minute and/or expected wait time. I know just want to expect. I do not see the pharmacy staff engaging with each other about personal conversations, work gossip or their weekends. If they do talk about these things, I have never seen it. This place so far has been incredibly professional and convenient. read more

Never shopping here again. No, no one in my experiences has been especially rude, the prices are reasonable, and the location is convenient. My problem is the cash register situation. Every time I've visited this store, and I mean EVERY time, there has been one slow-moving cashier, ONE, at the head of the store. I'm never rung up quickly, and it's a rare event when backup arrives to shorten the always-long line. Sometimes it's not solely the fault of the cashier. Today, for instance, a very oblivious and obnoxious lady had the worker at the register manually loading/inputting a STACK OF lottery tickets (as I don't play the lottery, I have no idea what actually goes on in this process, so forgive my lack of accuracy in describing it. Al l know is that these reprehensible lotto players, doing whatever the hell it is they do, frequently slow me down at 7-11 and other shops). This was completely asinine, and worse, it took forever for other cashiers to arrive, and why employees in these situations don't have the common sense or wherewithal to tell these annoying blights on our society to stand aside while customers with more pressing and legitimate needs are helped is beyond me. For reasons like this and many others, I am never helped expeditiously at this train wreck of a store. Buying a tube of toothpaste, at any time of day, shouldn't take half an hour. Got my rx transefered from the cvs on avocado (horrible location) to this one because it was near my work. I was helped by Denise who really made me feel like she cared. She entered both my insurances and my Rx was still coming out to 38 bucks. She then found me a coupon off the web that knocked it down to 19 dollars.
