This Pharmacy does not even deserve one star. My experience there is always turning out a very stressful experience. Call them to ask if the prescription is ready is a nightmare. Today I again tried a few times to call, nobody is picking up the phone. I drove there and standing in line for 7 minutes. The phone behind the counter was ringing of the hook but nobody cared to answer it. So my conclusion. THEY SIMPLY DON'T CARE. I love how this location is close to my house just because the staff here are more attentive and actually are happy with their jobs. Not sure what the fuss is about here. If you're coming to a drug store to be treated like a queen/king, there's fat chance of that. Is there room for improvement? Sure, but I don't see how that warrants a lot of the 1 to 2 star ratings I'm seeing for this CVS. I came here to pick up a nail clipper since I couldn't find my existing one. The aisles are clearly labeled. The floors are clean. I was able to find what I needed fairly quickly. Checkout was not a long line at all, one person ahead of me during mid day on a weekend. While the cashier wasn't exactly the most cheerful, the minimum "Hello how are you" and "have a nice day" were said, which is enough for me. Again, I don't expect to be treated like royalty coming to a drug store. Will return to this CVS as needed. read more

DO NOT use the drive threw here if you're trying to save some time. I just sat behind a car at the window for 20 MINUTES because they were catching up with the pharmacist. You will ALWAYS be in line like that for AT LEAST 15 minutes here also. Slowest cvs I know. They don't even apologize for the wait. And if you go inside they don't acknowledge you unless you say something. Not even a "We'll be right with you". One time I stood there for 10 minutes before asking "are you guys going to acknowledge me at all?" Horrible service. This is the WORST pharmacy I've ever used. The staff is generally terrible, except for one person. They do not honor prescription coupons that they are contractually required to honor, and they will lie to you about it and overcharge you. If this happens to you MAKE sure to report them to the prescription coupon provider you tried to use so they get in trouble They harass you with constant, annoying phone calls, no matter what. You will get constantly harassed by automatic phone dialers even after you tell them to stop calling you and even after you "remove" your phone number from their system. The hold time for this store SUCKS. You can call, sit on hold for 30+mins and listen to the recorded COVID vaccine EVERY 40 frickin seconds until you get pissed off enough to drive there. I did it last night and by the time I got there, my call was STILL on hold which I showed the counter person only to find AGAIN they only filled 1 of the 2 prescriptions my Dr. called in. Upon walking in I was asked if I needed help finding something. The people working in the pharmacy ask customers as well if they need help finding something and direct them to the correct aisle. Upon waking out I was told to have a nice day even though I walked straight from the pharmacy to outside. Someone noticed that I was leaving the store and still greeted me. If you want a quiet, chill and not a very busy pharmacy.... This place is NOT it. Granted, they are right next to St. Jude's Hospital..This is by far the busiest pharmacy I have ever been to. Hands down. Pros.. They have plenty of help. Every time I picked up the twins' formula, there always at least a half a dozen or so people working. They need it. The place is a zoo. They do try to be quick and fast. TRY is the key word here. Which brings me to the CON. Cons. They seem to never know exactly what is going on with my prescription. OK..full disclosure. I have twin boys that drink formula that was prescribed to them. Maybe pharmacies aren't used to twins or what not, but there's always a hold up. They do end up figuring everything out and I go home with the formula.. I just give in and expect it now. So what did we learn, this place is one busy pharmacy. And if you are bringing a complicated prescription, expect some issues. They will figure it out, but it might just be a little painful until then... 2 stars. read more

Came here after my boo got his molars taken out. He was given a prescription for 3 medications... we were told to take the medicine as soon as possible so we came here cuz it was right across the street...we were told 15 minutes for the medication so we waited... 15 minutes later i get a bag with one medicine in it...um...i ask them if there are two more cuz the prescription is for 3...he asks what the other two were but im unsure cuz i gave them the paper and didn't read it in detail...he tells me another 15 minutes... i wait almost 30 minutes then check and again there is only 1 again...i tell them again..there should be 3...and this is after they called the dentist to confirm...instead of looking for the prescription she turns to her co-workers and asks "what's going on?". They finally get it right...but really how hard is it to read a prescription?? I will never come to this one again to fill a prescription & i advise others to reconsider too before filing theirs here. read more

ive been coming to this pharma for since 2013. at first, i didnt know anything abt medicare and medi cal but these folks helped me tremendously understand the nuances of Cali's and America's socialized medical system. it is very confusing and i feel sorry for those who struggle with it. initially i was frustrated, as some of you are aware, with my mother's permanent physical ailments but this has been an unquantifiable experience. hopefully none of u have to experience this life passage called watching your parents age. i thought my father situation and death prepared me but i was wrong. dealing with a mother from a son's perspective is a gazillion times harder but it might be that women are just harder to deal with as a man :P this cvs has saved my ass a lot. being 24/7 and my mother telling me stuff at midnight, this is a perfect combo. the cvs has many facets to improve upon. the service is slow and questionable but after over 50 plus visits, i began to observe and realize the common obstacles and complaints, especially with the man in the mirror. in the end, the staff is handcuffed by a horrendous medical system combined with cvs limited supply chain, antiquated information system and mountains of paperwork. i observed, most disgruntled patients were not asking the right questions including myself. experience has taught me to ask effective questions for timely resolution. i encourage u to do likewise and use this poorous dilemma to your advantage. some helpful remedies and inquiries... if your insurance doesnt allow for billing til the next cycle, lets say five days, just ask the pharmacist or asst if u have a five day supply and credit the rest upon the billing period or until the doctor transmit the proper dosages. pharmacists are human, many are compassionate and understand the longer term negative consequences when a patient can not have access to proper prescriptions. this has worked 100% of the time unless they were out of stock. another remedy for out of stock supply is to ask them to check their database for local cvs that might have the requisite prescriptions. i have asked this, after an asst voluntarily checked for me, and went to other cvs to pick stuff up. a common grumbling, incluuding myself, occurs when the pharmacy is severely understaffed with a long line. the workers are human and have two arms and legs.. they arent omnipresent to deliver as fast as we would like. unfortunately medication is a sensitive issue and can get the better of our emotions. my strongest emotion often tends to be my achilles heel so this is a work in process. anyhoo these are my two pesos. may u live a fulfilled life of granduer purpose that transcends your limits :) read more

Twice I've come to this pharmacy after leaving the ER. Both visits have been nightmares. NEVER AGAIN! The first time I dropped off an ER prescription at 2am, I was the only person going through their drive-thru, and I didn't see anyone else waiting inside. After sitting in my car for an hour with a kidney stone, I went back in and asked if the prescription they said would be done in less than 30 minutes was ready. Nope, they hadn't even begun to process it. I know this because they needed my insurance card. They could have called me at anytime during that hour of waiting. In total, it took more than 2 hours and three trips through the drive-thru to fill a script that they advised would be a 10 minute ER script. Second time around, I'm one of three cars in the drive-thru and I've been waiting for 45 minutes on an ER script I dropped ofF 12 hours ago. Absolutely horrendous! read more

So I came here to drop off my subscription. It was already the 5th cvs I've gone to because the others didn't have my medication. As soon as the pharmacist saw my address she immediately questioned why I was going there. And told me we don't have this medicine you need to go back to your city. And slammed the window and didn't even let me put a word in. I was so upset and in pain. I thought they would be nicer to customers no matter what city you get your prescription from. I don't use the pharmacy very often unless I'm sick, however each time I have they are as swift as a pharmacy can be given they are pretty busy bc of their location right across from St. Jude's hosp. If u expect to come in here and get your prescription in 5 min bc your case is the only one that's special or in dire need, don't come here Prince or Princess bc it's not gonna happen. This is the first time I'm reviewing a place for the poor service. This review is with respect to the pharmacy services, not the store itself. I have been getting three prescriptions filled monthly for about the last five months. Three months ago, I requested auto renewal for my prescriptions, because why not? It makes sense to pick up all at once vs. one by one. Two months ago, they didn't have my birth control in stock and they asked me to go to another store to pick it up, even though I'm technically on auto renewal. Why wouldn't they have it? This month, I got the phone call that just one of my prescriptions was ready, and it wasn't the birth control. So, I called, and asked that they prepare all three so I could pick up at once instead of in three trips. The guy explained that my birth control wasn't on auto refill because I picked it up somewhere else last month. I almost laughed. The birth control was up for a renewal, so I was confused that wasn't the one they called about. I gave them seven hours to prepare the prescription. When I picked it up an hour after they told me it would be ready, it still wasn't ready. We waited half an hour at the pharmacy (wish I was joking) and when my husband got back in the car, they had given me just ten of one of the pills because they were out. Anyways, we've just decided it's not worth it, not worth the frustration, the time or the hassle when it's just not needed. To Target I go! read more

I give this place 4 stars not necessarily because I think that it is great, but because they are open 24 hrs and they happen to be the only drug store that does so in the area. They have helped when I have been in a pinch, and I mean that literally. I had a particular night where I came here for emergency Ex-Lax and Preparation H at around 3 am. Not to mention all the times that I ended up coming in late at night for desperately needed cold medicine. They also sell cool little metal vials for nitroglycerine which also just happens to be the perfect size for one rock of crack. So for all you crackheads out there, you can come here late at night when you are all amped up and can't get any sleep. And then there are the large selections of munchies, for those who partake in a different poison. They recently made some updates to the store that include self-checkout counters. What a great idea! No more waiting around for the one employee who works there at night. And if you are all amped up on crack and paranoid as f**k, that is one less person you need to worry about calling the cops on you. The location of the store is brilliant and retarded at the same time. Brilliant because it is located right across the street from St Jude so you can get your meds right after your hospital visit. Retarded because once you are in the parking lot, you cannot make a left out to Bastanchury or a South onto Harbor. Instead you have to go North on Harbor at which the earliest you can make a turn around is like half a mile away in some trailer parkesque looking apartments. It is like the roach motel - you can check in but you can't check out. And I like that the Red Box Dvd kiosk is outside...when the store is 24 hrs. Re-tar-ded-ded. read more

This CVS is convenient only because of its hours. I have no objection to any of the employees, the staff is fine. My objection and the 2 stars is the Location. The store was jammed in a too small lot, During the day parking is a real problem. Getting in and out of the lot can be dangerous. ( busy Harbor on one side...equally busy Bastanchury on the other) This really is a problem, especially for inexperienced drivers and the elderly. While this CVS is a 24 hour pharmacy and is often very busy, I have found the pharmacy staff thoughtful and diligent. The pharmacy folks spend the time to review the prescriptions and the associated costs. I don't have very good prescription insurance coverage and one of the pharmacy folks, Van, spent the extra time to work through insurance, coupon, generics and brand name prices and quantities until we reached the lowest possible (though still expensive) price. She has helped me in the middle of the night multiple times and I appreciate when the person helping you really cares to get it right. "Eek! Me thinks not." Does NOT begin to describe the LACK of service this Pharmacy attempts to provide. They are AWFUL. For the past 3 consecutive months I have had horrible service. Long waits. rude attendant. What is the point of a text and automated voice messages to tell you your prescription is ready but when you arrive it is NOT ready. AND you are asked to circle back thru the drive-thru And you wait an additional 40min. And I just called to complain to the Manager - when asked if I can hold, I said, "No, I would like to sp..." I was put on hold in mid-sentence. Waited 5min on hold (yes I waited and timed it) and then quick fire questions were barked at me. So I took a deep breath and S L O W L Y answered her questions and at the end - she did nothing other than to tell me to call the Manager tomorrow. Needless to say I WILL be calling Samuel, the manager, tomorrow and advising him that I will no longer be filling my prescriptions there. And he should read the Yelp...I don't appear to be the only unsatisfied customer. read more

Came here at 2:45 am on a Wednesday morning, since they claim to be a 24 hour pharmacy. The tech asked if I was there to pick up a prescription (which was ready for pick-up) and I replied yes. I was the only customer in the store. She then told me she was "closing for lunch." I said I just need to pick up a prescription. She repeated she was closing for lunch. I asked for how long and she said an hour and proceeded to close the gate right in front of me. Either firm hours of service should be listed or a customer should be provided service when they are present at the counter before they close the window for their break. As background, I have not been a big fan of reviews as I have found them to be most subjective. And a chef can have an off day. But when you are responsible for health care, specifically timely filling prescriptions, it is not acceptable. This location consistently does not answer calls but hangs up, follow up with insurance carriers, and doctor inquiries. Even worse, when I attempted to have a prescription transferred, and after giving very detailed instructions, this pharmacy did not honor my request. My doctor too was equally frustrated by his failed attempts to have his authorization of a drug processed. And it is no excuse to be told the pharmacy is understaffed. You are not flipping hamburgers but managing people's lives. As a result I will now transfer all of our prescriptions. This is the worst pharmacy ever! read more

Service was nice, they were very helpful. My prescription was ready when i got there. They were helpful with informing me about my insurance coverage and whats the best route to take. They were really friendly and went above and beyond to help me out! They are also located in a great location surrounded by medical centers with good parking also! They have St Jude hospital right across the street from here. They have everything here at this Pharmacy and the pharmacist present was very helpful in giving me options on what to get over the counter to help out my stomach problem. They also have 24 hour pharmacy, which i think is amazing! You can go inside and buy sandwiches, hair supplies, food, drinks, ice, clothing, snacks, and pretty much everything here. Its a pretty up to date CVS, one of the nicer ones I've seen. They are fully staffed and they work in an organized manner, not like some of the other pharmacies that i been to where they have one worker doing all the work while they have a lot of customers waiting. If you need a prescription have it filled here, you wont be disappointing! read more
