I frequently come to this CVS, never have had any problems, until today when I come in to get the eyeliner that I normally get. I assumed the lady that normally stocks the makeup isle, was in the isle stocking next to wear the eyeliners I get is placed. I was looking for a few mins, she proceeded to ask if I needed help. I did tell her yes in fact, and asked if she could get the eyeliner I needed. She proceeded to rummage through the cart of items she had to I guess see if they had any In there, and then came over and started to fiddle with the locked glass. I'm confused because, she had the keys right? She told me there was no way to get the door open, she fiddles with it, and turns the fob knob trying to open it. I'm jus confused cause is it maybe she doesn't have the right key or access, so maybe call another associate over who can help? (Im thinking) She proceeded to stand there saying she couldn't open it, so I pressed there's help button, that's when her attitude changed and she asked why I had pressed it. I told her she couldn't get it open so maybe someone else could try. She got very aggressive, saying " well who's going to open it? Who else you want to help you? WE the store cannot open it!" As she's flailing her hands in the air above her head. Another associate was there who was I assumed working under her cause she came to ask this lady questions on some products she was putting way. The lady proceeded to point and tell the girl, "do you want so and so to come try to open it? " the girl walks over and tries to fob the knob and she's like, "See! It won't open! Unless there's something else you want!" And I'm still thinking, okay....so it's not a key issue I'm guessing now, it's a "the door is jammed and we can't get it open" situation....She couldn't have said, "I'm sorry, I'm unable to get the door open unfortunately we"ve been having some issues with it, is there something else I can help you with or assist?". Instead, I replied to her question of, "unless there's something else was something else I wanted"with a simple no, thank you, asked her name and left without getting the other items I needed to get...the customer service, the proper communication, was lacking and unprofessional. My order was messed up, and without any drama or hassle she fixed it immediately. Price:5/5 They have amazing coupons, online and in store. I used a 30% off of my Marc Jacobs perfume, and it's now one of my favorites! Instead of $65.00 plus tax I paid about $40.00 With coupons. I'm completely happy with my purchase and the price. Service: 5/5 I absolutely loved this store, and how efficient and effortlessly it is ran. You can really tell these women are a team and work well together. Worker Tina is so rude and unprofessional. I was kindly trying to return a couple of items. She told me "none of these are going through for the refund except one item." She took an item and said i was going to get refunded $4. I tried to mention how that one item that went through was $12 NOT $4. She was not listening to what i was trying to say, instead she rudely interrupted me saying "it's only letting me refund one item." She also would not give me my old receipt back. She just does not know how to communicate. There was a lady in front of me trying to use a coupon and she was being rude as well. I never make reviews but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I believe her name was Tina, she was this old lady that rung me up and scanned my item twice. By the I noticed on the receipt I had already paid. I kindly let Tina know she scanned my item twice and she proceeded to give me so much attitude and acted as if this was my fault. I understand mistakes happen so I was not even close to being upset at that fact, but I was extremely upset at how her nasty attitude was uncalled for. She proceeded to say she could not refund me and I asked if I could get an item of equal value, to which she said no. I then asked if I could just get the same item, which was just CVS Dayquil. I went to look for another one but I had already grabbed the last one. I asked her if I could have an alternative one be the replacement and she proceeded to once again give me mad attitude saying she could not. She then called over Caroline and proceeded to throw a tantrum at her because of the situation that TINA herself caused!! Tina did not even try to fix the situation by any means, not even trying to scan the item I suggested. Literally instead of trying to do her job she just ends up complaining until someone has to try and fix HER mistake. I genuinely don't even know if it is because Tina is severely senile or if she is just too lazy to do her job. I ended up telling them that I will just come back in the morning and get a refund as Caroline informed me they do not process refunds after 10 PM... which would have been nice to know literally in the beginning but how silly that Tina didn't even know this. Caroline was a sweetheart and super nice, so I thanked her for her help. I am already sick and was tired from studying for a midterm I have tomorrow as I am a student and all I wanted was my stupid medicine. I tried to be nice and understanding in all of this, but I clearly do not see how Tina scanning my product twice was my fault at all. I tried to offer solutions to the situation, which is not even my job to do if I may add, and all I get is mad attitude and sass about something I did not even do. I clearly am not a CVS worker so how would I even try scan the item twice? I genuinely hope you try and fix your nasty attitude, Tina. Went to drop off some UPS boxes and the cashier was RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL ... complaining under her mask in Spanish like we can't hear her. REALLY?? I'm holding the box with one hand and she is asking if the box is heavy...? I didn't hear her so my husband tells her it's only 7lbs and she tells the other employee that we are lying, the boxes are probably heavier. I called the pharmacy to have a prescription transferred from my usual San Jose CVS pharmacy since I'm in town and needed a prescription refilled. I never spoke to a single staff member because they put me on hold for over 30 minutes. I called twice just to see if they had forgotten that someone was on hold. I was met with the "Can you please hold?" again and was put on an indefinite hold. What's the point in having a phone line when you put people on hold for this long? I thought it would be a simple process to have my prescription transferred as told my usual CVS - first and last name and date of birth and the medication you're filling. In the time they put me on hold, I could've actually driven to this CVS and spoke to the guy who put me on hold for so long. Needless to say, I gave up after having wasted half an hour. I called another CVS pharmacy in the area. Actually, the other one on the same street on the other side of the 60 freeway. They took care of it in 3 minutes. There's a lot of CVS' in the area, at least 15+ within a 15 minute or so drive from each other. And this ain't the only one. If you really need to get your medication, go to another pharmacy. This location is hit or miss as far as service is concerned at the pharmacy. They usually seem to be a little bit slower than other locations. I was in last week and there were only two people working, a Pharmacists and one assistant, and the wait times were ridiculous. Because they were under so much pressure, they weren't very friendly to deal with. Right as I got to the pick-up counter, an additional assistant return from a dinner (I guess) break. The store itself is usually well stocked, organized, and clean and the wait times for check out are normal. Plenty of parking in a private lot. read more

I just feel obligated to leave this review because the "Karen" in front of me at check out was going off on the cashier, Eko, about how every time she shops at this location, she has to wait and she was upset because her kids were waiting for her in the car. So first off, don't tell a cashier how fast they should go or anything in regards to his job duties when you as a mother left your kids to wait for you in a car, on a hot Summer day, while you go shopping. The cashier who helped out the person before us was very rude and blunt to his customer like he's bossing her around - and it was like yikes! I just wanted to get in and get out of this CVS and never come back because the vibe in there was just not pleasant. If I could give them a 10 star I would. My husband bought my a few perfumes here. But I didn't want them since, I already have several if them. So when trying to return them, I did get some upsetting treatment. That I will not get into too since at the end of the day Norma and Jonathan made sure I left happy. Norma apologized for the behavior of the lady that helps with the perfumes. She made sure I was help and treated with respect on my next returned. She said Jonathan would gladly help me. Which he did. He was so helpful gave me great costumer service. He made sure I picked the perfume I liked. He even gave me his thoughts on what smelled better. I was amazed with the great costumer service I called my cousin that live 5 minutes from there. We even bought another perfume. My cousin and I were so happy with the treatment and prices on the perfumes , we decided to buy our perfumes there from now on. I'm very pleased with my experience there. CVS Pharmacy - Love it - Drugstores Near Me - La Puente, California

Been coming here since I was a small child, but after today I don't think I will be returning. Yesterday, I went to cvs to go pick up my medication, as I am very sick. A pharmacist informed me that they had the antibiotics I needed in stock and that they would be ready later in the day. The pharmacist also informed me that they did not have enough of the cough medicine that my doctor prescribed me in stock. At which point the pharmacist asks me if I just wanted to take what they had left of the cough medicine or if he wanted me to have him order more. I told him I would prefer if he just orders more and that I would come back when they had the proper amount of medication to fill my prescription. I leave the pharmacist my phone number and ask him to please text me when my order is ready. At which point the pharmacist tells me that my cough medication will likely be ready by tomorrow. Today I called CVS to check when my prescription would be ready. At which point I was informed that this CVS recieves its shipments of medication in at 4pm. A little after 4pm, i call again to see if my medication is ready yet. The medicine was still not ready yet but they told me it will be ready in 20 minutes. So i go down to the pharmacy to pickup my medication and this is where it all goes downhill. When I get to the desk for "pick-ups" a certain pharm tech who shall remain nameless, picks up my medication from a bin and says, "codeine, no one can handle a cough." The comment was off-putting but I did my best to ignore it. She rings me up, and at this point I decide to ask if all my cough medicine was in the bag because the day before they had tried to give me 200mL of my medicine instead of the 240mL I was prescribed. The pharm tech tells me "yes, all the medications are in the bag." So i pay for the medication and go home. When I get home and open up my prescription bag, I find that one of the pharmacists shorted me on my cough medication. The liquid medication's ellipse is supposed to be slightly above the 8 ounce marker on the medical bottle, but it doesn't even touch it. I cannot believe a pharmacy shorted me on my medication, especially when I waited an extra day so they could fill my prescription. Apparently a patient wanting the correct amount of medication that the doctor prescribed is too much work for these people. Over and over I kept getting a run-around that "cough medicine is in short supply". I cannot believe that this pharmacy does not stock up on more cough medicine during the flu season, it's beyond irresponsible. I will not be returning to this pharmacy, the customer service is below par, the pharm tech needs an attitude adjustment, the pharmacy itself is poorly stocked, and the pharmacist shorted me on my medication. I will be taking all my future business and prescriptions across the street to walgreeens. read more

I'm going to be quick about this since I have pink eye. They called in 2 of 3 of the medications with one being a painkiller I needed to do in person with a prescription. I was texted shortly after leaving urgent care that 2 of my prescriptions were ready for pickup. I turned in my 3rd at the counter and was told it'd be ready in 15 minutes. It was ready in 10. Pharmacist explained everything. Cashier was friendly as I decided to buy some chocolate and beer...yes, chocolate and beer. This was my experience. BTW, the beer was ice cold. read more

Location not prepared to provide OTC birth control despite legislation that was passed in 2013 and it's 2016 now the law is in full effect and cvs pharmacists are not trained to abide by California law. Spoke with pharmacist Vivian who didn't have clear answers. Maybe cvs should clarify why they are not yet equipped and provide something to customers letting us know their intentions for fixing the issue. -5 stars for "manager" Donna and staff Sally. they are both rude and incompetent. sally kept messing up on my transaction, she had to void it but then she was having so much trouble scanning my extra bucks. come on! it is cvs extra bucks, a program that every cvs cashier should be familiar with. after i paid with my gift card, i had to pay 62 cents in cash at the end, so i gave her 1 dollar bill and 12 cents. she supposed to give me 50 cents back, and i even asked/told her "can i give you $1.12 so you can give me 50 cents back". she took my $1.12 and gave me 40 cents back. SERIOUSLY?! well im not going to fight over 10 cents, but really? she didnt even have to do the math. all she had to do was to enter the right amount that she received from her customer. FAILED since i was having so much trouble trying to use my extra buck with sally, i thought i would turn to Donna, after i picked up something that is worth $4.99. Donna said "you can't use your $5 extra bucks on something less than $5" WHAT?! THIS IS UNHEARD OF! i cant even give up the 1 cent even if i wanted to? what's more ridiculous was her reason.."it is because it would have been us cheating the customer's 1 cent" well Donna you know what? your staff Sally just cheated my 10 cents! i dont know how these people get hired to begin with. this CVS is a joke. read more

I have shopped at this CVS for over 30 years (back when it was Sav-On). It was convenient and offered a varied selection of items as well as having a 24 hour pharmacy. This has slowly changed over the past months. They recently remodeled and changed their pharmacy hours. HUGE Mistake!! The pharmacy hours- who even knows when they are open anymore. The store itself smells like wet dog in some areas and the remodel has moved items so they make zero sense! They also took out the Chase ATM and replaced it with a no-name machine. At least the staff are still friendly, but I am going to start looking good for a new pharmacy which will mean a new drug store. read more

He was very thorough and explaining the options and why he recommended a particular product. I think his name was Huynh. This store and its pharmacy is open 24 hours.
