Consistently unacceptable wait times on the phone and worse than that is the INCESSANT calls and automated VM's by CVS trying to get more Rx's filled and auto-filled despite year after year after year letting them know I do not want ANY Rx's auto-refilled and I don't want automated phone calls about potential refills. We are 8 days into 2021 and I have already received 20 calls from CVS and 9 VM's and I have ZERO Rx's to refill and no interest in filling any RX's. It feels like harassment and I am sick of calling CVS Caremark to rectify this issue each year when it keeps happening. This CVS is the worst one in the area. Every time I go, I wait in a line for at least 30 mins because the techs are so incompetent. This last time, they LOST my script for pain killers after having surgery. I waited for another hour so they could try to find the hard copy in the back, which they couldn't. What pharmacy loses a script?! Needless to say, I had to get through my post surgery pain without any relief! Thanks CVS of Marina Hills! You suck and I wish I didn't have to give you even one star! The store staff is always extremely friendly and helpful; however, the pharmacy is a complete joke! It took over 8 hours to fill a post-surgery pain med script that we needed immediately. When we dropped off the prescription at noon, the store was empty and there were 4 pharmacy techs working. When I called throughout the day to check status, the staff couldn't give me any info. Good thing I came in over an hour before they closed because I was forced to sit here that long while they filled my husband's very basic pain med prescription. Poor guy has been all day without any pain meds after a painful elbow surgery! read more

The pharmacy including pharmacist and staff are unsatisfactory and substandard. There is one pharmacist that is particularly rude and gets defensive when asked questions. Big lines under staffed lazy and rude often not knowing how to do they're job. I've complained about this to the store manager and to corporate of course it fell on deaf ears nothing's been done to correct the problem this store has been having for many years. Myself family and friends that have also had this issue with the pharmacy will no longer do business there. read more

More often than not either staff is reluctant to help with questions or simple non-medical advice, or they respond "the computer doesn't say." THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE PHARMACY STAFF ONLY! (The people who work in the actual store are SUPER NICE, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL)! Here goes....IF I could rate this CVS pharmacy a ZERO I would! Very poor customer service! EVERY single time I go in to get my one SAME prescription EVERY month, I ALWAYS have the SAME situation: I receive a text message saying that my prescription is ready. When I go in to pick it up they have used the wrong manufacturer AND they have used the wrong prescription card which will make the price increase from $11 to over $100. When I ask them to use the Welldyne card they look at me like, really? Yes! You morons...like I have put THEM out when I have to wait an extra 5 minutes while they change it. So, the last few months I have been calling ahead of time to make sure everything is correct before I go in. This month they don't even have the manufacturer we have been using for the past year for this medication even available. I have been waiting for days for them to order it. He told me 3 days ago ago it would be available. Today I called and they said oh no....we can't have that available until next week. I said there has to be a solution...I suggested maybe another CVS in the area might have that medication/manufacturer in stock. The woman I spoke to today had the nerve to say to me I know it's a hassle for you as a customer but it's also a hassle for us! (she did find it at another CVS and it's supposed to be ready 10/22...we will see)! Why couldn't they come up with this solution on their own 3 days ago? Why was it not even available in the first place? Who does their inventory? I have noticed their staff is always changing. They also seem to be short staffed much of the time. Do not waste your time here. I have tried to be patient with them but I am going to switch to a different pharmacy; nothing related to CVS even though this pharmacy is right across the street from me I will drive to save me the headache! read more

I would have preferred to give zero stars if that was an option. This CVS is unorganized, chaotic and the pharmacy techs have poor customer service skills. I have had a few experiences where I have received automated calls that medication was ready and went I went to retrieve, it was not ready or not found, a few experiences where the fill time was ridiculous but yesterday was enough to assure we will never return. I went 3 times over the course of 8 hours to pick up an rx that they said would be ready in an hour and wasn't. Finally, on the 3rd visit, 8 hours a freak out later, it was completed. CVS manager was behind the counter and was not remotely helpful or courteous. I would rather drive out of the way than return. read more

This is possibly the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Went to pick up a prescription after work yesterday and waited in very long line (half the length of the store) for over 30 minutes just to be told by a rude staff member that they couldn't find the prescription for my daughter. Had been called in 2 days before. I then was sent to yet another line to wait so they could figure out what was going on. They finally "found" my prescription and then I had to wait more time for them to fill it..another 30 mins. The entire ordeal took over an hour just for a common eye drop and I was late to pick up my daughter for preschool. As someone in medicine I will warn patients not to use this location. Can't imagine some of my elderly patients having to deal with so much time standing in line and aggravation! Will absolutely not go back myself. read more

My husband went to this location on Monday to a locked door before closing time at 10 oclock! Then the employee had the nerve to argue with him saying the store was closed! Made the mistake of trying this pharmacy again after boycotting for years because of their terrible service. It is still absolutely the worst pharmacy I have been to in my life. My husband had surgery today. He needed prescriptions filled. The pharmacy tech refused to fill them because the Dr forgot to put today's date on it. She said I quote " I'm sorry I understand your husband is in a lot pain but I can't write the date in or fill it without the date there, it's illegal." I went down the street to another CVS and they filled the prescription with ZERO issues. This pharmacy staff is completely incompetent and obviously lacks any kind of human compassion. I've been with other CVS Pharmacy but for some reason when I transferred to this location there's always a delay or an issue which I have never experience in other CVS Pharmacy. This pharmacy is a disgrace to pharmacies. They have plenty of business but they are chronically understaffed. At Rite-Aid and Walgreens, they have sufficient staff to handle the customers. At this dump, they have one clerk, one pharmacist and a 20-30 minute line. They lose prescriptions regularly. Disorganized mess. I moved my business over to Rite Aid and it isn't perfect but it is at least reasonably functional. 2 or more people in line and they get another clerk right away. This is on CVS corporate making the decision to sacrifice customer service for extra $$$$. Unfair to the customers and the employees, some of whom are trying. read more

Horrible experience today. Gone in several times before without being approached. Today I Walked in with friends after school, bags on as usual. We were asked to put our bags in the front, which is totally understandable but was not a pleasant experience with the attitude of the employees. Friends and I split up as to not cause trouble, and a couple minutes later, the store being completely silent as I read labels on the protein powder by my lonesome, I was approached. I was aggressively asked to leave before security was called and walked out with the employee. While we were walking I asked if I had done anything wrong or if I wasn't allowed to look at protein powder or anything along those lines. The only response I got was "you need to leave." I left with my friends, and around 10 minutes later I go back in, alone, money in hand, to ask the cashier if I'd be able to pay for a quick dollar candy and leave. I get it, probably not my best call. But the cashier was essentially yelling at me and we were going back and forth. We got accused of stealing and I told him my point of view very sternly and as I was turning around to head back out the door I asked if he was the manager and if not could I speak to them. Only then did he stop his act and tell me I could get my candy and go. Never talked to the manager, payed and left. Bad experience, though I will admit part of it was my fault for not just dropping it. I still think I was kicked out for no reason and CVS was in the wrong today. This is literally the slowest pharmacy to ever exist. Most of the time I get a prescription from my doctor it takes them 5 days to a week to even have the prescription ready so I end up not even needing it since I decide to just ride out the storm of symptoms. One of my prescriptions has taken over two weeks now and it still says "in progress". When I've called to have prescriptions expedited, I've had a person on the phone tell me "that's impossible", place me on hold then come back to say it's ready to be picked up. I stopped in to get a few items to take to family members waiting at the Hospital and needed something behind the counter, so I waited patiently. Store Manager Dennis ignored me and did not ask if I needed any help. He just began helping someone else. I said I was ready. He began to berate me. He said I must stand in front of him if I want to be helped. The only reason I visit CVS is for convenience, who really wants to pay dollars more for an item other than fast friendly service, which is what I did not get. I will not be visiting this CVS store any longer. There is an Albertson's store next door I will visit next time. read more

I have been a customer here for 10 years but no more. They use to have really nice people that worked at the pharmacy. They would greet you by your first name and seemed to care about providing good customer service. But those people left a long time ago. Now the people that work here treat you like you are trash. The place is very disorganized. Whenever I went to pick up my prescription is was a minimum of 15-20 minutes of them looking through various prescriptions to try to find mine. I'm regularly on hold for 20 minutes or more. it is hard to find a pharmacy staff member who is helpful and they do not listen to customer so you must repeat yourself. Instead of them just telling me they imputed my info into the system wrong, they went in circles telling me how my insurance wasn't approving my prescription and then later claiming that I had been dropped from my plan. I've been with CVS for over 20 years. I moved to Laguna Niguel in Oct and I'm sad at how much I miss my old CVS. They were amazing, thoughtful and like family. This pharmacy is always a disaster, couldn't care less who I am or about their customers. I feel like an inconvenience and dread having to come here to get my prescriptions. Very poor customer service ! We're in the area on vacation. Had to stop and get some bandaids and lotion for my little toddler . Had to use the restroom since we have been driving for a while . While entering I asked a older woman that was working there where the restrooms are and she scanned me down from head to toe and told me that they don't have public restrooms ... yeah right lady !! I didn't buy it and asked another employee . She told me they do have them but they are in the employee area and she has to enter a code to let me in. I find it very disturbing specially after the whole Starbucks blow up that you are still being denied to use a restroom specially at cvs !
