I've been with CVS for over 20 years. I moved to Laguna Niguel in Oct and I'm sad at how much I miss my old CVS. They were amazing, thoughtful and like family. This pharmacy is always a disaster, couldn't care less who I am or about their customers. I feel like an inconvenience and dread having to come here to get my prescriptions. Very poor customer service ! We're in the area on vacation. Had to stop and get some bandaids and lotion for my little toddler . Had to use the restroom since we have been driving for a while . While entering I asked a older woman that was working there where the restrooms are and she scanned me down from head to toe and told me that they don't have public restrooms ... yeah right lady !! I didn't buy it and asked another employee . She told me they do have them but they are in the employee area and she has to enter a code to let me in. I find it very disturbing specially after the whole Starbucks blow up that you are still being denied to use a restroom specially at cvs ! Wow I've had bad experiences at this pharmacy before but today was the absolute worst. In the past I blamed CVS corporate for the problems at this particular pharmacy in that the corporate sends texts saying that my medication is ready when it's not, doesn't send me a text when my medication is ready, and then sends me a dozen texts per day telling me to come in and buy more drugs. I finally had to take myself off the text message list. But today I realized the problem really is with this particular store. This woman named Shermin who other people have mentioned before is an absolute customer service nightmare! She glares at you and sneers at you like you're some sort of pussy for being sick enough to need medication, and obviously hates you for being there and making her do something resembling a job. I have never seen any cashier or assistant anywhere show such contempt and hatred for the customers. I've been slowly transferring my medication prescriptions to a different pharmacy, but I think I'm going to speed that process up immediately. read more

Unfortunately this is not the kind of experience people are looking for, especially when not feeling well. The attitude and Customer service are pretty dismal at the pharmacy. Basic communication skills and pleasant attitudes don't cost a dime and really make a difference. The pharmacy employees here didn't take responsibility for their errors, took 7 hours to fill a prescription they said would take "a few minutes" today and the last time we were in waiting they took an hour longer and said they would announce when it was done but we came back twice after they said it should have been done then had to wait in line, step out of line to update my insurance card then go to the back of a line of over 7 people after informing me the pharmacy would be closing in a few minutes and did not bother to apologize for not having the prescription ready but said they would have it done by the time I got to the front of the line AGAIN. Does this sound like a good experience to anyone? Can someone please train on how to communicate with people?? If you have a question, call your customer. They gave you a phone number for a reason. It's there as a communication tool. Let's be intelligent, customer friendly people who are pleasant to deal with. read more

I've come here for over 20 years for shopping and my prescriptions - always a mildly pleasant experience. Until today. I don't know where the heck all the usual pharmacist are, but I came in today when CVS texted me that my refills were ready. When I got there I waited in line for 20 minutes as one girl was working the counter - this wasn't out of the ordinary - I noticed all of the pharmacist were new, I did not recognize any of them, Ilas I approached the counter I came to find not only did my prescription get lost, they didn't think they filled it yet? Then they tell me to wait 10 minutes - 45 minutes later my prescription still isn't ready and the main pharmacist doesn't even know to fill it - the girl at the front never told her. She just assumed. I'm not sitting here and was told to wait another 15 minutes. I've never in my life had to deal with such a shitsshow - I totally understand things happen but this was above and beyond terrible AWFUL THE WORST customer service I've ever received. read more

whoever runs this place is doing a horrible job. there's always only one employee working the register even when there's a long line & it's usually this one employee who never really does a good job. on top of that the self checkouts never work right which means the employee working the register has to stop & go help the people on self checkout as well so there's really no point in having the self checkouts! very frustrating experience every time i go here read more

This pharmacy is an embarrassment. I was on hold for over 45 min to check the status of a prescription. They wont even pick up the phone. I finally hung up after 45 min. After 30 min my wife called and had the prescription moved to another pharmacy. My wife drove to the other location and picked up the prescription before this location even picked up the phone. This is the last time we do business at this location. Last time my wife had a prescription they never filled the prescription after 3 days. I'm not sure who is running this place but they should be fired. read more

They make a TON of mistakes. The only thing they are good at is saying "Do you have a CVS rewards card?" And, do not give them your phone number. You will be bombarded with incredibly annoying calls where they make you hit a number to call back..listen to recorded information...that tells you NOTHING. No specific information at all. If you try and tell them to remove you from this...they have no idea...clueless. Which come to think of it just might be what the "C" stands for in CVS. The clerks are not well trained, the "pharmacy" itself looks old, run down and depressing. read more

Seriously....wtf. Literally the WORST pharmacy ever. And honestly, this location is garbage. But let's be real - the surrounding locations are just as terrible in South OC (I am talking to you, Ocean Ranch Dana Point). They must post job ads in their pharmacy for the most incompetent, worst customer service, and tacky, rude employees they can find. The amount of negative encounters I have had with their pharmacy employees is probably tripe digits by now. The latest and greatest experience thus far is regarding my son's epi-pens. Literally called A MONTH AGO to order. Probably the only pharmacy ever who just disregards prescriptions and requests. Just simply doesn't order them. My husband decides to stop in and they just simply decided to never order them. He leaves, and they call me *super hostile* and decide to reprimand me that he 'talked to your husband yesterday and we informed him we were never able to order these epipens." Umm, what? So a MONTH later, you decided that you would just now let us know. And just 'wont be able to obtain these'. I don't even know what that means. You literally have one job, and you do that pretty lousy. I wish more people would start ordering online and shut down these pharmacies that are in-store and put these people out of jobs. Customer service - a thing that simply in the past and doesn't exist any more. I put pharmacies right up there with Doctor's offices. Got a shot for shingles 4 months ago that requires a follow up injection within 6 months of the first one. I have been checking for the second for two months and CANNOT find a CVS Store that has it. I've never had a great CVS experience until a couple days ago. I got there often and have never had any level of "customer service" from the checkers. However, a couple nights ago when I went, the man ringing me up (probably in his 20's) was so sweet and friendly. He wanted to make sure I found everything I needed and went out of his way to find the item I couldn't find. From the reviews it seems like this place is turning around from new management? I come here regularly and it is always a pleasure to come. Staff members like, Brandon, Peter, Sergio and Arisbet make me feel so comfortable and taken care of when I come in that many times I will come in for items that I could go other places for (i.e. wine, snacks, kitchen items, etc.). Not only is the service friendly, but the staff is quick when checking items in the register, the store is always kept up and someone is always genuinely willing to help me find items. Making completing some of the tasks on my "to do list" so easy and convenient. My experience with this CVS has been so positive that I have built a degree of loyalty to it. There is a drive through CVS located 5 minutes from my work, and although it would be more convenient to use this service I prefer to go to this CVS. read more

ONE WORD, HORRIBLE!!! If I could give this place zero stars I would. They have the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever encountered. Don't think you can go out and enjoy your weekend and pick up your prescription later that evening. On weekends they close the pharmacy at 6:00 pm. To me that is unheard of and I truly can't think of a logical explanation. On weekdays when people usually work until 5 or 6 and most have to commute, you better leave early to make it there, because they stop taking people at 8:45, usually due to the long line they have from everyone rushing to get their medication before they close on you. They are understaffed, resulting in continuously making mistakes, not having prescriptions ready or correct info. The pharmacy is too small to accommodate their clientele. Forget about trying to call them, you are always put on hold before you can even say a word, they answer "cvs pharmacy can you hold" and without waiting you are automatically already on hold. So not exactly sure if it was a question, because I didn't get to answer if I could. Yesterday I called and without even getting to speak to anyone, I waited on hold for 24 minutes, finally hung up and called back, three times with same results until someone finally picked up, I wasn't sure if they actually forgot that they had a customer on hold. There hasn't been one time that I have had to deal with this pharmacy and it all went smoothly. On top of it all, even when they are just minutes from closing, and have a line, they will literally tell certain people who have been waiting in line for 15 mins that they probably won't be able to help them because they have to close. Meanwhile, as they tell people in line they probably won't be able to help them, they will allow customers who are already at the register to bring up groceries and ring them up there. While the regular checker doesn't have not one person in line. This causes even more delays and the clock keeps ticking for those in line who barely have a few minutes to make it to their outrageous time deadline before they literally shut their metal doors on you even when you have been waiting forever to get to the front. To add, I don't even understand why they are not a 24 hour pharmacy, but if you can't be 24 hours, at least adjust your hours to accommodate customers! Seriously 6:00 on weekends? Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! I will be transferring pharmacies and so will my family. My advice is DO NOT turn your prescription here, go to Walgreens or any other competitor, where they accommodate customers, not the staff! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS PHARMACY! read more

Great pharmacy. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Been coming here years, back when it was longs Drugstore. Sad to see many of the staff move on to greener pastures. They are missed! This is a place where everybody knows your name. The staff has seen our family go through illnesses to serious medical diagnoses. They have been caring, concerned and so patient ( as I cried at the counter when picking up my childs medicine for her recently diagnosed disease). Now, 2 yrs later, the staff has changed a bit , but still a great staff and caring pharmacist. read more

By far the worst pharmacy. We moved near it this last year and compared to Walgreens doesn't compare. They have lost prescriptions numerous times, don't call when there is an issue so you show up and then they tell you, always long lines like seven deep and they don't bring other people to help. This is not a one time occurrence, I have given them the benefit of the doubt for a year now moving prescriptions back to Walgreens, while a little further their customer service has been so much better over the years. read more

I downloaded some coupons to my cvs card and went to go get them. I go to check out, he scans my card and I didn't get the discount of any of the items. I was embarrassed to say something but I did anyways. The man scanned my card again as I physically showed him the coupons on my phone. He started talking how they weren't there, at that point there was someone behind me and I was so mortified that I was making a fuss over some 10 dollars, I just had to walk out and say 'nevermind, I don't want any of it'. When I left it felt like I was just 'one of those customers' that now they didn't have to deal with. Instead of fixing the problem. It's not that it's a bad store, but don't offer it, not deliver and ultimately make me feel bad, common sense read more

I tried to reach the pharmacy 3 times today, the third time I was left on hold for 22 minutes. Then I hung up and called the manager of the store directly, his name was Ryan. I told him my problem and said, all I needed to know was the price of a prescription medication. I asked him to go to the pharmacy for me and ask a pharmacist. He refused to do so and said he could transfer me to the pharmacy. I repeated I was on hold 3 times that day and just hung up from a 22 minute 'on hold' wait time. Again, I asked him, all I wanted him to do was walk across the store so I could talk with a pharmacist. He again refused. There is absolutely no excuse to be on hold 22 minutes and not have someone or an automated system take my name and have someone call me back. They lost a customer, and the manager refusing to help me was inexcusable! I had to leave 2 sick people at my house, to personally walk into the store to find out the price of a prescription. They get a 0 rating from me and lost my business. read more

This CVS is the best! There has been a new manager for a short while and he has really turned things in the right direction here. The employees are super nice and I'm greeted every time I walk in. It's clean orgnized and the pharmacy is great! I go in at nights so I usually see Arisbet or Rita who are awesome. Very helpful. read more

I don't write reviews often, but I had the best customer service at this CVS from one of their staff members named Nancy that I had to comment. We were hosting a dinner party on Saturday night and wanted to purchase 24 bottles of Frontera wine but they were completely out on the shelf. I normally would just leave, but Nancy asked me if she could help me with anything. I've shopped regularly at CVS for over 20 years and this is the 1st time I've ever had unsolicited help offered to me from a CVS staff member. I explained to Nancy that they were out of the wine we needed for our party, and she was so friendly and assured us that they might have some in the back and she would go check. They didn't end up having any Frontera in the back so we had to go to Ralph's, but I was so impressed with how kind and helpful Nancy was. It's rare that you see that kind of genuine customer service these days, so it was really appreciated. I'll continue shopping at this CVS just because Nancy was so awesome and made me feel like she actually cared. read more
