This place is off the charts bad. Their system tells you that your prescription is ready and then you go to pick it up and its not only not ready but the medication is on back order. But not to worry, they tell you that they sent you a text letting you know about the back order except you never got that text. Then you ask for a phone call when the medication arrives and they neither call nor text (again). They shouldn't be allowed near medications. Or people. read more

Nice convenient location. When the drive through is operating, picking up prescriptions is pretty easy. However they close the drive through pharmacy window for no other reason than it's cold. Standing in line inside is horrendous and you can be waiting for 30 minutes with only 3 people in line. read more

I just visited this location to pickup a prescription for my mother. I had asked for additional consult on taking the meds so I would be better informed to help my mother. Now, as I waited I noticed there were three clerks who all saw me standing patiently for the consult. The lead pharmacist was helping an older lady. The clerks look like the where filling prescriptions. After a while, one clerk finally mentioned to the others that there was a consult waiting. Mind you I had been standing directly in front of her. Unfortunately,at this point I was short on time and then left. I believe the clerks need to be aware of their surroundings and customer service. read more

I was upset and told her that I was told the same thing 45 min ago. For my flu shot, I went to the CVS on Ft. Apache and Desert Inn because my insurance recommended CVS. As a walk-in, I filled out a form about my health. Then when it came time for the shot, the person administering it hadn't been given that paper so just asked me if I had put "no" for anything. In addition, he didn't put his gloves on in my presence so had been walking around, opening the door, etc., with the same gloves he used to give me my shot. Though it made me uncomfortable, I actually asked if he had put on fresh gloves between patients, and he said he had. Tip: Put them on in front of the patient. As I was waiting, I observed the front desk pharmacy tech with his mask down below his nose, only putting it up occasionally when someone seemed to be watching (?). So all of that together gave me the impression of a filthy set up. To top it off, they didn't tell me to sit and wait 15 minutes afterwards, as is customary after a shot to make sure there are no reactions. I completely forgot until I was halfway home. This is the best CVS that I have found on the west side of Las Vegas so far. Management has responded promptly and more than adequately whenever I have had a comment, concern or suggestion. The only gripe I have is that the store is no longer open 24 hours as I tend to do most of my shopping at night. The staff has always been helpful and courteous for the most part, there's even a new guy working there that goes above and beyond as he is actually interested in learning the ins and outs of the company, or at least the store that he's working at. I guess that'd be my second gripe but it has nothing to do with this location per day but more to do with the corporate structure of how CVS lays its stores from location to location but then again the offset most likely will be attributed to the various sizes of each location but still there can and should be a basic layout for CVS that stays consistent in each store so things can and would be easier to find. Anyway as there are 3 CVS locations pretty close to me and this one is my favorite and, also in my opinion, a hell of a lot better than the Walgreens across the street from them that never has any of their sale items in stock from week to week and when you ask where their sales items are all you get is excuses and attitude for what I can only imagine is a defensive reaction for never being proactive enough to order more stock of sales items before the sale actually starts at Walgreens. This CVS however is always stocked up and ready to go when my favorite Arizona Green Teas are 2 for 1 and it's greatly appreciated. read more

I'm a firm believer that people have bad days and sometimes you just catch them at the wrong time, but the staff at this pharmacy is snappy, unprofessional and absolutely rude. 100% done with CVS all together after the pharmacy tech just now got an attitude. 30 minutes to answer the phone. When someone does answer they are clueless to what is going on. Dr sends the prescription and they literally can't find it. Can't answer phones and apparently can't check emails either. Staff is rude and untrained. She spoke to one of the two inept young male techs working the front counter on Thursday, Saturday and two hours ago (Sunday) to get this Rx refill, each time we were told it would be done. This is for thew MINUTE CLINIC. This was not a "minute" more like 80 minutes to have only 1 person seen before us. The computers were not working, the doctor could not figure out how to make the clinic work without the computer (pencil and paper would work) 80 minutes and I had to go to walgreen's like 10 miles away. Every time I go into CVS with an "email discount" the coupon doesn't work. I only go to CVS for the discounts and then I get in there and they don't scan right or they don't match my phone number. Cashier #1390219 decided yesterday was a good day to be rude to me. I have had the same phone number for 25 years. The cashier chose to tell me that someone else must have had the number...25 years ago? Its too much of a hassle and because this one cashier decided to not care about customer service. I once really loved this location. The staff had always been really awesome and I had even sent a note to corporate about one of the pharmacy staff. A couple years later and my experience has been the exact opposite. They're too busy for their own good and it's a disservice to customers. They never answer the phone, not even for other pharmacies that are trying to transfer your prescription over. It got to a point that I had to drive down to the location to ask them to release my prescription. I shouldn't have had to drive down when a phone call would have remove the body waiting in line in the store. The new staff must be really stressed out if they're as unfriendly as they are. I asked for a specific drug that they did not have that they said they would order and I didn't mind waiting a couple days. It's been one week now and it hasn't even been fulfilled and it sounds like it wasn't processed and the order did not go through. First experience at CVS. The cashier was super friendly and when she saw what I was buying told me I could get it on sale across the street at Walgreens. I thanked her and I did go to Walgreens which saved me $1.30. I also did sign up for the CVS rewards card while I was there. The form was detailed and I had to complete it in the store and then give it to the cashier. The problem was the info I completed on the form in the store never got entered into the system. Finally, after 2 weeks I went online and entered the info myself. Why have customers complete a form in the store if they will still have to go online to enter their information? read more

I just want to say that I work in a doctor's office and have for 5 years. I feel that pharmacy workers are part of the healthcare community and with that being said you have to have a sensitivity with people or you should really look into finding another profession. I have only been back at this store a couple of times now (my mom switched to Walgreens a couple years back because they seem to be out of stock of her meds when it came time to fill) and now I remember why we left them. There is a tall guy who works the counter in the pharmacy and the drive through he is one of the rudest people I have ever met in my life, he for real acts like he HATES his job and this is every time I have seen him...Not just I am having a bad day, this is a bad day everyday. He actually slammed my receipt down yesterday after I asked him a question about an rx which made him have to walk 3 feet to look in the computer...I guess that was to much for him. This review is for the MINUTE CLINIC. Came here after making an appointment online...still waited 45 minutes past my appointment time. Explained to the NP my symptoms which included severe cough and severe throat/chest pain which had kept me from sleeping for 4 days. She diagnosed me with allergies and prescribed me allergy meds, pill cough suppressants and suggested I take melatonin. I persisted to tell her that the pain in my throat was so severe and burning and that it brought tears to my eyes and then she suggested some OTC numbing spray. Skeptical that my condition was just allergies I filled the RX anyway and went home and followed her instructions. Two days go by and my cough is 5x worse and 5x more painful, the left side of my face is painfully congested, my jaw is sore from coughing constantly, and my voice is hoarse. I went to urgent care where the MD there told me right away that I have bronchitis and prescribed me the right meds. Don't waste your time going here. The NP made me feel like I was drug seeking and exaggerating my symptoms. read more

I don't know why I bother with this store, every time I go in there my interaction with the staff that works there never smiles never days hi or thank u and whenever a customer or myself ask for something it's either deer in the headlights look or a look of sheer annoyance that they're being asked to do something. Well today was no better I went to use my 30% off coupon on a chair I knew the rules and made sure it wasn't on sale or anything else that wouldn't qualify it for the coupon . The customer service at this store is horrible. The pharmacy had a person working that I had never seen before when I went to pick up my meds. She asked my name and then walked away and started complaining to another worker about being too busy. She came back 3 minutes later, asked my name again, and walked away again. 3 mins later, she came back with my meds and said she had no cash drawer so she couldn't ring me up. I asked if I could pay up front, she said no. She then walked away again and started scanning things in the back. I called out, asking what was going on, and she said she would page the manager for the cash drawer. The manager came after another five minutes, huffing and puffing and sighing. He told her to use a different register and went back toward the front. She said she could not, and continued scanning items in the back. He finally comes back with the drawer and was so completely rude when is asked if he was the manager and if he could do something about what was happening. He basically said no, he did not have enough employees today. Then turns out, there was a person in the drive thru the entire time, waiting for their stuff. To start, when I was waiting in line at the pharmacy I could literally hear the pharmacist and tech having nothing but personal conversations and LITERALLY making fun of people right in front of customers for the meds they're taking and what they're taking them for which seems not only rude but a violation of the patients privacy. Why would you even be having those sorts of convos in front of customers?! Now to my real issue, I have been trying to get my prescription from this pharmacy for over a week and they keep saying I have private commercial prescription insurance and trying to charge me full price rather than running my Medicaid. It won't process because in the CVS pharmacy system they have my expired private insurance I had for a long time in their system. Rather than listening to me, they told me it was my Medicaid's fault and that I need to sort it out with them. Upon calling my Medicaid there is no issue on their end so the issue would be on CVS' end, but the pharmacist and PT were so bothered and rude. He was so bothered he was even having to make an effort to do his job and says "are you gonna buy your medicine or not?!" I'm sorry but I cant afford it which is why I have full prescription coverage from Medicaid to begin with! So, I had to go to the ER to get a hand written prescription for a weeks worth of meds which I knew I could at least afford and it would allow me to have my medicine until things were sorted. Well, I took my prescription to Walgreens this time and guess what? NOT A SINGLE ISSUE WITH MY MEDICAID THERE! Got my meds for free and all which just VALIDATED what I thought all along which is that the problem is on CVS' end not my insurance, but of course they were so bothered by me trying to get my prescription from them they were too annoyed to even listen. Sorry I care about my health and I know if I go with out my medicine I can literally die, but these pharmacists clearly only cared about making fun of people rather than actually helping them. The employees at this location go the extra mile for customer service. I had previously been using another pharmacy but wanted to switch to this location since it was more convenient. When I went to my doctor he accidentally sent my prescription to my old pharmacy (electronically) prior to confirming where I wanted it sent. I told him that I preferred CVS and he then sent the prescription to this location. A few hours later I called to check on my prescription and it was ready. When I arrived I gave them my insurance information since it was my first time there. They told me my insurance company said I couldn't get the medicine yet, that they were showing that it was already filled today. I explained the situation to the pharmacy tech and he said he could help get it resolved. He called my old pharmacy to confirm that I had not received that prescription and to get them to update it so my insurance would pay for my medicine at CVS. I could hear from the pharmacy tech's end of the conversation that my old pharmacy wasn't easily agreeable to correcting this(even falsely claiming I dropped off the prescription when it was actually electronically submitted). Luckily for me, the tech at CVS stood his ground. This saved me a half an hour trip. I really appreciate the customer service that I received here and will continue giving them my business in the future. read more

I had been using this CVS for several years, and nearly every single month there was a problem with at least 1 Rx not being filled. I have been on the same scripts the majority of the time. The staff would say we'll order that for you & it will be a week or so until we get it!!! I'm not certain if these people understand they are supposed to be helping people get well?? A week or so? When my meds are due in a day or two? It's as if they prefer you die. Calling the corporate office is just as nonexistent as the "service/care" within the store. Smith's is my new pharmacy & it takes them 1 day to get meds if they run out!!!! 1 DAY!!!!! This CVS, in particular, is a disgrace to healthCARE!!! At least I know now what CVS stands for... The Pharmacy has horrible service. They seemed overwhelmed therefore not caring. Nothing but issues trying to fill prescriptions. The last incident was the last straw. About a month ago I brought in a paper prescription with 2 prescripts written at the time I only needed one to be filled. The pharmacist said they will keep the other one and put on file. Went to call to fill the other one in yesterday, the pharmacist advised no problem, when do you want to pick up. I advised tomorrow. Went today to pick it up and was told we have nothing for you, that prescription is expired. Last prescription filled was last year. I explained past convo, and informed no that is not correct, i filled and picked up a prescription last month. went back and forth in circles. Pharmacist not caring or trying to find the issue. This is the last time I will come here. I intend to transfer all our prescriptions elsewhere! read more
