Normally the staff members I encounter here are super nice! But I was ripped offfffff today :( I had some coupons emailed to me from CVS (40% off one item, and also $3 extrabucks for reaching the $30 limit on beauty club). I bought 2 items in total, but noticed when I got to my car, that the system had miscalculated my "40% off one item", so I went back to ask the staff about it. I wouldn't usually go back over something like this, but during covid19, every dollar is crucial and we're all just trying to survive out here! I showed the staff member my receipt & it clearly stated which of the 2 items had the 40% applied. She checked on her calculator, and confirmed the mistake. She said she would refund me & would scan the item again at the correct discounted price (of 40% off)... Then she said, I wouldn't get the whole amount back for the item, since I also had used my $3 extrabucks. I was confused, because the $3 wasn't specific to that item, it was just taken off the entire order at the end (after the subtotal of the 2 items was added up). It seemed irrelevant, but I trusted she knew what she was doing, so even though I pointed to the receipt saying, "that was just $3 off the entire order, it's not specifically listed under that item", she ignored my comment, so I let her do her thing. She scanned my item & gave me the correct discount, and sent me on my way... I don't know what kind of math logic is going on here, but I just walked away paying MORE in total than I originally did!!! You can't partially refund me for 1 item & then make me re-pay the full correct amount HAHA. The $3 had nothing to do with the item that was re-scanned, but she took it away from me :( Anyway I feel bad because I came on July 4th, so granted maybe the employees were just not in a good mood, because they had to work during the holiday. A 24-hour pharmacy, except you arrive at 11:30AM and they close the gates of the pharmacy for lunch. Had no idea that they're closed for lunch but what really was gross was as I approached the counter, the employee literally rolled the gates down in front of my face. I asked her if I could purchase my prescription before the gate closed, and she said, "We're closed for lunch." Drove 20 minutes to a 24-hour pharmacy. This place drive through pharmacy is horrible, every time I come hear the wait is no less then 30 mins one time it was 45 min in the drive through, I walked next door to Chick-fil-A and came back to my car and I was still in the same spot, what gives???? I was forced to get the COVID vaccine. I went in an specifically stated my concerns and said "I want the Johnson and Johnson vaccine ". The unethical pharmacist gave me the Moderna shot instead and did not tell me. I know people with think this is lame and everyone has their right to their opinions, but in no way you can say this was ethical. He should have just told me instead of lying. And when I called him on it he said he misunderstood me. Either he is lying or just incompetent. I am so angry this should never have happened. read more

I was a regular here for drugstore items and prescriptions but my last visit was less than stellar. I dropped off a prescription in Jan, and the staff member that I left it with said it was on backorder and I would be placed on a waiting list. She didn't seem to inspire any confidence that I would receive it anytime soon. Fast forward 5 months and I have yet to receive my medication. I called yesterday and spoke to the pharmacy manager who verified I was on a list but there was no ETA date still! I asked her what I could do and she said she didn't know. When I mentioned I'll have to find another pharmacy to fill it, she almost seemed relieved that I wouldn't have to bother her again. Needless to say, I found a mom and pop pharmacy that carried the medicine in stock. read more

Do NOT go here!!! My boyfriend and I went into this CVS and started getting flack for apparently not being "fast enough" while here. We were barely looking at some of the toys on the toy isle and art supplies in the same area before the Asian lady (whom I presume to have been the store manager, not sure 100%) was making us feel very uncomfortable and pressured to leave asap. So to appease her I went to look for eye drops that i actually needed. Upon looking at the eye drops and comparing the brands to the prices and which would suit my needs best, my boyfriend walked away to go look at Halloween stuff. He then came back within a minute or two informing me that the Asian lady was being snappy and rude, talking s*** and trying to rush us even more so to leave. For what though? It wasn't time to close up shop. This CVS is open 24 hours. I mean, if I had walked in and it was near closing time, I would've understood the hurried rush but it wasn't and we did nothing wrong!! So yes, of course I was furious because how rude and beyond unprofessional of any employee to make their customers feel hurried and unwelcome!!!. I immediately left this store, empty handed and annoyed as all heck, which was very clearly written all over me. And even as I was exiting the Asian lady had the audacity to stare me down and say "byeee" in a rude/condescending tone! This is the worst CVS I've been to. My insurance now offers Teledoc where you can have a phone consult with a DR. You have to pick a pharmacy near you that is open 24/7. This CVS was the closest so I picked it if they prescribed any medication. The first time they called in a prescription and I went to pick it up, the pharmacist asked why I was prescribed it. When I foolishly told him he stated it was wrong and would not help. I guess he was also a DR. The 2nd time they treated me like I was bothering them. When I stated they charged me to much (I've taken this antibiotic before). They responded that it was the right amount. If I didn't have the money they would put it back. I later called my insurance and asked about the price. They hadn't received any info about paying for the medication. read more

Three times I have had my vet call this pharmacy about a refill of a prescription for my dog and every time they tell her it's processed and will be ready to go and then nothing. I call later that day and the pharmacist say there is no record of the order or even the conversation. Horrible customer service. Employees don't care about online photo orders. The guy on the phone was rude rushed to get me off the phone. I had an online same day photo pick up. My pick up time goes by no email or call so I decide to call them. The guy who answered says your order won't be ready and he doesn't know when they will get printer paper could be weeks. I say what about my order it was same day pick up can you transfer to another location. He says he can't do it and I have to cancel and redo my special order all over again at other store. I came through the drive through to get a prescription filled, he took five minutes to come to the window. I love the actual store. The employees are always friendly and helpful, BUT THE PHARMACY IS TRASH!! I've only used them 2.5 times (.5 because I ended up just canceling my Rx and going to another Pharmacy) and both times they were busy. That's not the problem, the problem is the employees must be overwhelmed because they are both rude and very short with you. I would never ever ever refer anyone to this pharmacy, unless I really didn't like them. I probably have left about 5 Yelp reviews in my life and they were all because I received really good service. Ordered some custom coffee mugs and I got a email saying they're ready for pickup. I do not live very close so I got to cvs around 30 minutes after the email was sent. I get there and only half were ready and I explain to her that I got an email saying they're ready and she says "it's a fairly new product so are system isn't updated" so I don't understand if they have my number why not call me saying it's not ready instead of making me waste my time and gas to go over there. I ordered a coffee mug at this cvs around 3-4 months ago and I had to call after waiting awhile and receiving no email for them to even start on the mug. They clearly do not know what they're doing and will use any excuse to make it not their fault. I ordered 6 mugs and the employee says it takes 5-10 minutes per each one, it was over 2 hours after I placed the order.. This is hands down the worst CVS Pharmacy I've been to! I've gone over the last 3 WEEKS trying to get my Medicine and they keep saying that they are out and every time I come back they keep telling me the same exact thing as if they don't get resupplied. What made me mad the most was when I finally went they said they finally had it but then they call me an hour later to tell me they actually don't have it which is completely unprofessional to tell a patient. I go to CVS for most things and was excited to learn that CVS can provide birth control. Called to speak to pharmacist about birth control and came in. System was down so pharmacist said she would give me a call the following day since she did not know when the system would be back up. Called the following day since the pharmacist did not call me back to be told she has left for the day and will not be back until Monday. I asked the attendant at the pharmacy if they knew what other cvs stores offer the service or if they could find out and I was hung up on. Normally I am a generous reviewer and will not leave poor reviews. My past experiences with CVS pharmacy were great and I am even their paid extra care service customer. That being said , my experiences with the customer service at the Los Coyotes location of Long Beach is really poor. I live very close by and this has been my nearest CVS location, every single time I have visited the store my experience has been really bad . The single person at the register is a young man who is extremely rude and unhelpful. He never greets or communicates with his customer to see if they found everything alright. He gives preferential treatment to people and his communication is very off putting, unwelcome and he seems to concentrate his efforts to a specific group of people. This is totally against what Long Beach or CVS stands for .In addition, for the items that need assistance such as toothbrush heads or shaving sets or medicine in the locked cabinets, you will have to wait nothing short of 20 minutes to get help ( this , despite of you approaching the front desk). The place is understaffed and poorly managed. I have had enough of this location and I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

We stopped by late one evening as it was the only 24 hour pharmacy in the area, and although it was a late hour the pharmacist was friendly - and didn't mind helping us compare national brand and store brand behind the counter allergy medicine. The rest of the store is spacious and kept very clean. The pharmacy drive thru is also kept open in the evening which is awesome! read more

Like all pharmacists, they are slow as molasses and take forever just to fetch your Rx that is already ready for PICK UP. Horrible pharmacy staff. At least three times they filled my Rx incorrectly, with the wrong birth control pill (different drugs, not a simple generic) and they tried to argue with me over the phone why it was the same. I had to get my doctor's office involved in having them reissue the Rx (which had been submitted correctly). Their drivethrough sucks. There are two lanes, but it's not clear that you can only go through the first lane if you're using the pharmacy. Then, you may have the misfortune of being stuck behind someone who literally just dropped an Rx off and is waiting in the drive through while it's filled. Horrible policy that they don't ask the driver to drive around and come back later. Finally, if you're gunshy about the drivethrough as I was after my experience, you may be just as screwed going inside. I was inside behind 2 people at the pickup line, and even though I was waiting for 20 minutes until those people had been helped, a drive through customer who had just pulled up was helped before I was.
