Actually the only thing is the service takes a long time because the pharmacy is very understaffed, but that's clearly a corporate decision not a location decision. Doing more with less seems to be a CVS trend right now, so I can't give them in good conscience 5 stars because the service is almost always slow. However, they get above a 3 because the experience is as good as it can be with the limited staff.

I politely walked up and smiled at her and placed my items on the counter. She said clearly, "Who does she think she is, Beyonce?" and rolled her eyes. I do not think it is okay to be unnecessarily rude to customers as I definitely did not deserve any type of attitude from her. I stopped at this location as it is closer to my house but I will go back to the Los Altos or Seal Beach CVS. This incident will be reported to the manager. The day it happened, I did not want to make a scene or say anything just yet as I was upset by the interaction. I will let people know that outside of this issue, the store was clean & orderly. The other clerk (a guy - did not catch his name) I met was nice and helpful so thank you to him.

The prescription items I need, such as stimulants and azaleaic acid, are often out of stock. I know that can happen at any pharmacy, so I don't hold that against them. My biggest issue is the service. The pharmacists and pharmacy staff often present as though they dislike their job and the customers. Today I was told by a staff member that an item I needed was not available to order and I had to call other Walgreens to see if it was available. She also stated that she could not transfer my prescription to the other Walgreens pharmacy locations. Imagine my surprise when I finally located my medicine and the staff member at that other location was easily able to retrieve my prescription from this location. I don't know if that staff member was misinformed or simply lazy. Either way, it left a bad taste in my mouth. This is a very frustrating pharmacy location.

This was my first visit to this CVS location, and it was a relatively short one…read more Upon entering the store, I was greeted by a third-party security guard. However, this "welcome" felt less like customer service and more like customer profiling. The guard appeared focused on monitoring, documenting, and tracking the time, date, and movement of customers entering and leaving the store. I found this approach excessive and uncomfortable. After entering, I went to browse for the items I needed. During that time, I noticed that multiple refrigerator units appeared to have significant wear and maintenance issues. Several shelves were sparsely stocked or completely empty, leaving very few product options available. The beverage section, as well as many other items throughout the store, seemed overpriced for the area. As I continued through the store, I found the overall shopping experience increasingly uncomfortable. The selection of non-fresh, expired snack options was limited, and the narrow layout made it difficult to move through the aisles. Combined with the growing number of customers in and around the pharmacy area, the store felt crowded and congested. I did encounter one employee in passing who appeared polite and professional. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with all staff. While attempting to exit an aisle, another employee entered with a cart. Rather than moving aside to allow a customer to pass, the employee continued forward, forcing both of us into an unnecessarily tight space. It was inconsiderate and avoidable. I ultimately purchased three drinks, which cost approximately $10. When I proceeded to checkout, I was met with an employee's open bottle of water sitting in the checkout area, requiring customers to navigate around it. The cashier who assisted me was neither welcoming nor particularly professional. At the conclusion of the transaction, she asked whether I wanted a bag. When I replied, "Yes, that would be great, thank you," she responded by emphasizing that it was "just a paper bag." The comment felt unnecessary and strange, as I had already answered the question and had not expressed any concern about the type of bag being provided. After leaving the store, the security guard said goodbye or something similar. Upon reaching the parking lot, I noticed a fire truck parked in a manner that was blocking portions of the entrance and exit. There were no visible signs of an emergency, and the firefighters remained seated inside the vehicle. Overall, the store felt dated, dingy in appearance, and overdue for modernization. Between the excessive security presence, limited product selection, crowded layout, inconsistent customer service, and aging aesthetics, the experience was less than satisfactory. I would like to see meaningful improvements made to both the store environment and the customer experience.

The service I received was extremely poor, and some staff members behaved in an unprofessional manner I spoke with an employee named Imelda regarding my medication, but she walked away without explanation while I was in the middle of speaking to her. I was left waiting without any update, and she never followed up or checked on my prescription. I then asked for assistance from the manager, Jessie, but she did not take the time to properly review my situation. Even though I explained that my doctor had already sent the fax, she told me I could not receive my medication. Her tone felt impatient, and she raised her voice, which made me feel uncomfortable as a patient. Because of this, I had to contact my doctor again while waiting at the store. After they resent the information, the medication was eventually found in the system--but no one had taken the time to check thoroughly before. I ended up waiting about 20 minutes unnecessarily. I used to visit this CVS location often, and the staff was always helpful and professional. It was one of my favorite stores. However, after this experience, I feel nervous and uncomfortable returning, which is disappointing. I hope management addresses these issues, especially since this is a 24-hour location that many patients rely on. I would also like to recognize Liz, one of the pharmacists, who was very kind, patient, and helpful. She clearly explained everything and made sure I received my medication. It was night time and my doctors office was already closed. Tracy told me not to worry at all and that she would call them in the morning and get it taken care of for me. I honestly did not think much of it. I was fully prepared to call my doctors office / having to deal with it all on my own. Yet, I got a text saying my medication was ready in the morning. Tracy even called me personally (not just the automated generic voice message system they leave saying to come get your medication) Tracy called and told me that she had been calling my doctors office as soon as they opened and she had everything taken care of for me. It honestly made me cry. While dealing with so much such as a surgery and trying to get everything taken care of, it meant so much to me that she took care of everything for me and did not make a fuss about it. She literally went above and beyond and I'm extremely thankful that she not only does her job, but is extremely sympathetic and helpful. The guy at the counter just heavily racially profiled a black guy that was shopping, he ran over to him yelling so loud the entire store could hear. He excused the guy of taking deodorants and told him to leave, as the guy was leaving the CVS worker asked his coworker is this the guy that always steals and she says NO THAT IS NOT HIM!! How embarrassing and humiliated that was for that guy to experience that. I myself and another customer was in disbelief how he treated that guy. FYI ALL BLACK MEN DOESNT LOOK THE SAME!!! My recent visit to this CVS was extremely upsetting. Immediately upon entering, I was confronted by security after a female employee incorrectly identified me as someone who was supposedly banned the day before. This was a clear case of mistaken identity. The situation was handled in a very public and embarrassing way, which was both humiliating and unacceptable. Customers should not be approached in this manner without proper verification. I expect management to review this incident and ensure staff and security are properly trained to prevent this from happening to others. read more

Stupid stupid and ignorant, never in my life have I seen so many mistakes by the staff, from requesting proper packaging to the wrong script to not putting on profiles allergies and red alerts. This place sucks and for that matter after visiting other CVS pharmacy's it is the same no matter where I've tried. Conclusion if you want pro's go to RITE-AID, they remember you, your name, what your life is about and never mess up. Pharmacist at this location by the name of Hong does refuse prescriptions at her discretion. She doesn't care about peoples need or pain. she judges people by the way they look and will say she doesn't have the medication in stock. please i urge anyone that receives this treatment from her you have rights. File a formal complaint with the board of pharmacy on their website. it is so simple to do just a few questions describing the incident and your done. she can't continue to judge people and decide who deserves to get their medicine. read more

CVS I CAN'T BELIEVE CVS IS PRICE GOUGING DURING A PANDEMIC! I went online to try to find some Lysol and CVS was charging $10 for one can. I just went in to a CVS to buy distilled water for some medical equipment I use and they charged $1.89 PER GALLON! Even Whole Foods is over a dollar cheaper per gallon! I will not use CVS again for anything! What they are doing is disgusting and there are so many other places to buy the same stuff. What, am I the only Yelper to go here?…read more Ward's pharmacy is close to my house. It's got a kinda weird vibe going on. There are always interesting characters in there. It's right were like 4 major bus lines converge. It's across the street from Mc Donald's and down the street from Wal-Mart and the blue line. I think that it has some of the best people watching in Long Beach . The staff is mostly friendly, but mostly inattentive. A lot of them are young kids. My favorite person on staff is Ian. Weare cool with each other because we have the same three letters for names. He likes to brag about his fights and I like to tell him that I am gonna run him over. It makes for good chatter. When dealing with this pharmacy, I think it is best if you just drop of you scrip and come back. It takes a little while for the items to get filled. I think that the standard wait time is an hour. My Doctor's office will call in things for me so I don't have to go in first. I think the wait times are drastically shorter at the end of the night., but I hardly ever wait anymore. Ward's used to have delivery service, but I think it was scrapped in favor if mailing the prescriptions out. I never take advantage because I am too embarrassed to say that I was too lazy to walk the 8 blocks it is from my house. If you do go on, make sure to check out the candy counter in the back, as well as the soda case in the corner. Ward's has some of the cheapest candy and cold soda around. (That's a throwback to my high school days) OH! I forgot! Don't steal! If you do, they will print out the surveillance video of you walking out the door with what ever it is you stole. It's pretty funny and they put it right behind the cash register so that everyone can laugh at you for being the dumb-ass who stole a cane from the pharmacy. Don't say I didn't warn you/

I have dealt with Regene who is professional and customer service oriented and super nice and understanding. I get all my medication for my Mom at this pharmacy. They also mail her medication if needed. The only thing that it's in inconvenient is that I can't keep track of my Moms medication with an app or the refills. I have to call every so often every time I need refills, it's not automatically done. For me doing everything for my mom and trying to keep up with her meds it's very hard. Also they don't have the permissions to fill prescriptions pain meds, and the last is they are not open on weekends. All those is very hard. I just want to give anyone a heads up for the cons. Everything else is exceptional with this pharmacy.
