This Pharmacy mixed Parkinson's medication into my wife's medication and she does not have Parkinson's. The corporate office ran an investigation and it turns out, the tech was not using some standard sorting practice. To make matters even more frustrating, the RX Manager Kyo, told me once over the phone that he contacted our doctor to report their incident. I followed up to find it who he spoke with and the Corporate office advised that it's not in their practice to notify doctors unless the incorrect meds were consumed (fortunately, my wife was smart enough to check before consuming). We went to talk to Kyo and he then told me that he spoke with our doctor (to my face). He lied to my face physicians confirmed they received no phone calls regarding the incident. This experience made me realize how important the job of a pharmacist is. There should be very strict regulations on how meds are dispensed and people like the careless idiots at CVS pharmacy have no business in this work. Kyo lacks accountability and is a pu$$y in my book. No respect for this place at all. Lives are at stake here, people. Get your sh!t together. read more

Came on a week day lunch time for flu shot and it was busy in the pharmacy so I had to wait a bit, but the pharmacist was very friendly and nice. She explained everything clearly and provided as much privacy for me as she could. The price was $29.99, which was not what I was told on the phone ($24.99), but they gave you a $5 store credit to use. I browsed their baby section quickly but did not find size 1 diapers, so it's not a place that I can do one stop shopping. read more

Just visited the store and bought two little bottles of sleep aids ten minutes ago. They have a buy one, get one half price offer on almost every sleep aids starting today. Apparently, it is apparent that they lie. I was charged full price for the second one. What? Must be my fault as I was too tired to speak up and say that it is half price on the second one. Oh yea. I did use my CVS Savings Card, but yet no half off on the second one which I bought. Yes, I will return to the store first thing tomorrow morning with my receipt and ad. But the pharmacist who administered my vaccine as well as the guy who I spoke to when I went for an inquiry where extremely rude and generally disinterested. I've been to this CVS many times and I wouldn't say the staffs here are mean but definitely UNFRIENDLY (as usual). Today i used a $6 ExtraBucks printed coupon that's handed out with the item I want to buy, but before the lady ring it up for payment I quickly decided I'll save the coupon for something else later so I told her "Sorry, I'll save the coupon for something else next time". She was like "ugh..!", then she cancelled the transaction unwillingly. I saw her reaction so I said "I'm really sorry!" (another apology). But she just showed a "poker face" like she was so frustrated. I'm been to different CVS stores (maybe 3~4) and this store has the WORST customer service, and everyone works here doesn't seem happy at al or has any smile when dealing with customer. I used to work in retail and we were trained to smile and even greet customers when they walked into the shop, but that's not happening here. The CVS on Mission Blvd in Fremont is my favorite since staffs there are always friendly and helpful, but it's a bit further from my house. Yelp says it's open to 10 pm. That's just the store. The danged pharmacy is open to 9 pm ! I wasted about 1hr + there today. Prescription was submitted at 4 pm. I went at 7 pm - still NOT ready. I went back to 9:10 having googled the closing time as 10 pm. But it's 9 pm for the pharmacy. Wasted TWO trips and time. BTW, I say let Amazon take over this pharmacy function - look at the wasted time waiting for this inefficient supply chain. How hard is it to count 30 pills ? Since I live nearby, I've come here a few times over the years, usually with little issue. Today though, I stopped in to check for some cosmetic products and ended up only purchasing one item. An employee, an old Asian woman, followed me around near the end of my visit, and when I went to check out she repeatedly asked me rudely if I was "sure" that was the only item I wanted. Not sure if she assumed I stole something or what, but she was very rude regardless and I felt very uncomfortable. I don't normally write reviews, but one of the pharmacists here is incredibly rude. I called in asking for clarification regarding a prescription that was pending approval, and my questions were met with aggression and yelling. Why am I being yelled at for asking questions? Every time I tried to get a word in, the lady speaking to me would keep interrupting me. I have visited this CVS location several times and had above average experiences on most occasions. This store is located in a strip mall on the cross streets of E Calaveras Blvd and Milpitas Blvd. The shopping center is older and includes common chains like, McDonalds, Chase Bank, an Asian grocery store, and more. The store is typically clean and well ran. Each time I visit the staff are friendly and have shown good customer service. I'm sick and tired of the sales prices that say you must buy 4 to get the sale price. i do NOT want 4 Combos cheese pretzels. I just want 1!!! i know it's just a tactic to push sales but frankly, I would have bought 2 if that stupid rule wasn't in place. and that CVS cash buck rewards thing is a great deal if you wanna stock up on Bengay, 3 pack of Lysterine strips, and other random crap like Lubriderm. It's usually spend $30 get $10 back, but personally, there's not many items that I need/want to add up to $30 for that reward. Plus, I don't really have time to pick and choose and read through ads when I can just get them cheaper somewhere else. read more

This is a convenient CVS near a USPS mailbox when I need to do multiple things in a single setting after getting my hair done at Simple Hair. The two drawbacks are that there's normally only one cashier at checkout so there's long lines and sometimes the lone cashier gets the prices wrong and I have to wait for a refund. read more

I hope this store gets better with CVS taking over. But so far...no good. I went in to get a prescription refilled and give them my new insurance info. Person #1 tells me to go to person #2. So once person #2 puts my info in, I ask him if he can change the insurance info for my whole family. He suggests I wait until they need a prescription filled. But I insist because I don't want to have to come in every time I have to fill a scrip for my kids to show them my insurance card again. Person #2 does it...while talking to person #3. The next day...I get a call from the pharmacy saying they don't have my insurance info. WTF!!!! So I give it to them again. I MISS LONGS DRUGS :( Everything is re-done here and I dislike it all! I tried to give it a chance by buying generic CVS brand products, but I didn't like those either. Although the service is friendly, I don't like the selections at CVS. My hubby doesn't have health insurance and when we came to CVS to get medicine, they charged him $65 for a weeks worth of pills to take once a day :( It definitely is not cheap! Costco only charged him half of that for a similar brand. I'm not a fan of the things they sell here because I remember Longs Drugs having a huge beauty section and a lot of knick knacks that I used to buy. This is now CVS, no longer Longs. I liked Longs better. I don't like the new aisles at all. Everything looks so squished together and grubby. I don't like shopping here at all. Things also seem to be more expensive now under CVS than Longs. I received a few good coupons, but they were only good for 3 days and I always forget to use them. This is regarding the store and not the pharmacy. Since they remodeled the store it is almost beautiful inside. It is well-lit with bright lighting, and the layout is now well organized and holds a bigger selection than before. The shelves are full and offer all kinds of merchandise. They have always had a good selection of seasonal merchandise. There are two self-service checkout machines in the front which are remarkably programmed to be more efficient than any I've ever seen, so you can quickly check out and not wait in line so much. (The only blip was that our email of record flashed by so fast on the screen that I couldn't check it for accuracy and hence we haven't received an email receipt yet.) More employees are evidently on duty now. Plus, they have a great website, offer special services, and are listed as being open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. I wonder if they don't want elderly customers, though. I was checking out at the kiosk and an employee startled me by rushing up to me from the back of the store and coldly and harshly asked me if I needed help. Why? They paid for a fancy remodeling job of the restrooms, which had been open for the last 30 years at least. Now there is a white sheet over the entry to that area, and it seems one has to "pass muster" to be allowed to enter, otherwise they are "out of order." They could post a "no public restroom" sign instead. read more

I used to come here to get my prescriptions ordered and picked up but since I moved near the Berryessa location, I go there now. But for a particular prescription I had to call around and find which pharmacy's carry or can order a specific medicine. Since I came here before to get this specific medication, I thought I'd give them a call and see if they do carry it or if they can order it. The man who answered the phone sounded really nice and pretty helpful... until...in the middle of my last question.... HE HUNG THE PHONE UP!! How rude is that!! I'm still going over to this location because the guy said they can order the medicine and get it in the next day and since I really need it I have no choice. Although they still have some of the better buys that are popular sold out quite frequently, I have become quite fond of CVS in general. I do like their extra bucks program as I use that with couponing here to get some great deals. I usually shop here now at least once a week. The only issue I have had recently was looking for some John Freida Full Repair shampoo and conditioner. The week it was on sale I went to pick some up they were sold out and I picked up a rain check for the sale price and the extra-bucks as well. The next week I went in and they still were sold out. This continued on for the next four weeks. They were sold out of the product for five straight weeks! I find that completely ridiculous for shampoo. I think this particular store should keep up with their inventory and make sure they get all of their product in and keep their shelves stocked each week. The employees seem a lot more helpful and I have encounter one manager I believe (DeeDee maybe?) not quite sure of her name, but she helped me locate the shampoo and conditioner at other stores and also put aside some conditioner for me when it came in. I really appreciated that because I had waited so long for the product. I have gotten some excellent deals here lately so I added a star for that and would have made it four stars if it wasn't for the lack of keeping certain things on the shelves at all times. read more

DON'T go to this CVS. This CVS is terrible. They sell expired items in purpose. This vitamin has expired for 5 months and the other one has expired for 1 month. They pull out the 5 month expired one at the very outside of the shelf for customers to take. Right after they sold out all the expired items, they bring out the new one with new package(two on the right of the picture). Obviously, different deadline products has different package. They know what is expired and what is not. They try to sell the expired items when customers not noticed. This is unacceptable and unethical. read more

This place lives up to the horrid standards that CVS is known for. I called at 9:30am to have a medication refilled and the woman told me they would have it ready by 12:00pm. That is a long time to have 1 single medication ready but this is what you expect from this place. I come in at 4:00pm to get my medication and they tell me that of course it is not ready and that they are "working on it" and "it will be 20 minutes before it's done." I come back 30 minutes later and to what shouldn't have been a surprise to me my medication still wasn't ready. I ask why this is taking so long and they assured me that it will be ready in another 15-20 minutes. I come back in 20 minutes and it's still not ready. Understandably I'm upset with the way these people manage my time because they just don't care at all about it. It honestly seems like they make games on how badly they can mess with people before they yell at them. I didn't get my medication until 5:30pm. That's disgraceful no matter how you put it for a pharmacy. To put it in prospective it was 120 pills they had to count, that went through fine on my insurance and they had it in stock. There was no reason why I had to wait 8 hours to get 1 medication. This place deserves a F as a grade or 0/10 for a rating. It doesn't deserve the 1 star I am forced to give it either. This place is terrible and overpriced. Drive the half mile to goto Safeway instead, at least their products are priced better and you don't have to deal with the impressively high level of incompetence and disrespect. Hopefully CVS gets bought out by a better company because they are just garbage water in the pharmacy world and I won't support them ever again after writing this. read more

I love this place. It has its hits and misses. The coupon policy is odd and changes, sometimes they take something and sometimes they don't. I just wish it was more consistent. But thankfully, whatever confusion is usually cleared up by the manager and its more an issue of cashiers being a bit confused. I like that they are willing to do rainchecks without hassle for the sales. That makes it easier since this store seems to be popular and always out of stock by Tuesday night. But the manager Carol is always quick to offer help when new customers come into the store. She makes up for some of the really slow cashiers who aren't familiar with stuff. I guess they are just new staff. You hear them call her to the front a lot. I was disappointed when I went to pick up my photos 30 minutes after the time online said they would be ready, and with a bunch of managers floating around the store at 10am, they couldn't bother to check the printer and get my photos. I had to wait an extra 10 minutes after I preordered them online. I know this would have never happened if I had come into the store at night and Ruben or Carol were running the place. read more
