I was in the CVS store in Moraga on 12/30. I was looking in the beauty department for a new Revlon lip gloss. Ellis who has been very helpful in the past helped me with the lip gloss and also recommended other beauty items as well. Ellis is great and you are very lucky to have such a great employee. John who was the associate who took care of the check out has always gone above and beyond to help me. Another great team member at CVS. I then went to pick up a prescription and Allan who I have had wait on me many times is always very helpful and efficient. He always is very pleasant and will go the extra mile to help and make my shopping experience fantastic. Jen who has helped me as well is always willing to help and always has a smile on her face. These 4 team members deserve to he recognized and makes the shopping experience at CVS Moraga such a pleasure! read more

BEWARE -- The pharmacy technician carelessly administered TWO doses of the Covid vaccine, which could seriously endanger. Then both he and the pharmacy mgr responded by laughing. Do not go here for care. The technician somehow, probably in a major breach of protocol, took out multiple doses of the Covid vaccine and the flu shot. The technician administered one Covid shot and then unbeknownst to the patient administered a second. When the technician went to administer the flu shot -- the third in a row -- we asked why there were 3 shots. Only at that point did he admit his prior error and the endangering extra covid dose. I doubt he would have even said anything if we didn't ask. No follow up, no advice, no expression of regret from anyone at the location after any of this!! Complaint has been filed with CA Health Dept. and with CVS. Stay away from this pharmacy. read more

The pharmacist lies to your face so she doesn't have to do her job in a timely manner. If you need a medication filled, go to any other pharmacy in the area, the pharmacist at this location makes up her own rules and if you don't know what the actual regulations are surrounding pharmaceuticals, you might accidentally believe her. read more

Get more self checkers- I questioned employee why there were no coupons on my account. Instead of waiting for me to pull up my email he said oh well next time. I had not hit the send to card button. He clearly did not want to work - he could have returned an item for my coupon. Also there was no one in line- so no stress there. Just not wanting to do his job. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would, i have never wrote a yelp review but I downloaded the app because my experience was so awful. Never try to print photos, literally every time I've gone the machine has had issues. This time they kept telling me the photo was almost ready for a HOUR AND A HALF. I was there from 8pm to 9:30pm and at the end of all of that I didn't get my photo. I didn't say anything mean at the store and the people for what it's worth are nice but i am personally never going to try to print a photo there ever again this was my final straw. read more

I had the worst experience I've ever had with a pharmacy here. I recently moved and wanted to move a prescription here. The pharmacist asked for my insurance information and I said I'd be self pay (something I've done for years with other chains and with other CVS locations). At first he said no- they would only fill if it was through health insurance. I'm aware of the retail price and they have a record of me paying retail for YEARS at another location. After much back and forth I was told to have my physician submit a prescription, but he'd filled if I "had a good record" and only if I lived near the store (I do). On top of that I said my old pharmacy (different chain) was out of stock and was told they were just telling me that because they didn't want to continue to accept my self paid prescriptions. WOW. My old pharmacy (Costco- highly recommend!) went above and beyond for me when needed. I'll be escalating this issue. read more

Omg ... I just spent 300 dollars here but I wish I did not. This store had no prices for certain items so I asked them to check the prices with the cashier. 4 items was lacking pricing. The cashier got irritated because of this and keep mistreating my mother and even gave me the finger ! Never ever spending my money at this cvs ! What is wrong with people nowadays . Why do men think they can treat you however they want? Oh I have time today..... Pretty sad that the younger kids who work here provide better customer service than the clearly older employees. Absolutely rude service provided by Gloria. When I asked for the manager to further assist she obviously seemed annoyed. Well let's see your coupon center machine is ALWAYS down. It's absolutely ridiculous. Why do they say? "Oh we're working on it" hmm with the 3 times I have been here within the last 2 months it's been the same story. Anyways I took a picture of my cvs bucks with the barcode clearly visible. Jaime the assistant manager came over didn't even look at me, looked at my phone Gloria had and said "no!no!" And proceeded to walk away. I said excuse me sir can you please listen to me? "Ma'am we cant do that it's a copy, no, no" tried to walk away again and I asked him for his name. He looked like he rolled out of bed and hadn't washed his hands in days the dirt under his nails was so prominent. He walked off and I said to Gloria "he is the store manager??" She said "oh well assistant". Okay I would like the store manager to come here please. She looked flustered and paused finally saying oh she's gone for the day. Okay, may I have her name?? She looked at me and said nothing. I said Um hello may I have the name. She said "no I don't have to give it to you." I said excuse me?? "You work in customer service, really???" She stated "you're being rude, I don't have to and I have a voice and can talk back to you". Finally she gave me the name Courtney after I stated I would ask another employee. When I asked if she was being truthful she said "are you calling me liar?!?" Okay this was getting out of hand. I'm sick and come here for medicine since it's close and this is what you pay for. I'll go to Lafayette CVS from now on. I sat in the lot and decided to call corporate with ALL your names. Totally NOT cool. It really sucks that after one bad experience just one, it can ruin and put a bad taste in your mouth for good. Step up your customer service or hire employees who care! Period. read more

My doctor tried to call in a prescription to this CVS. After never getting through, he had to mail me the prescription. I try to be charitable with local businesses, and I like a lot of the people who work the counter here and they're trying - I suspect this is more the fault of whomever is woefully understaffing this place. You can never get through on the phone and waiting in line takes forever. The CVS in my old neighborhood in SF didn't have any of these problems. I hope something can be done to give the workers here more support. If they can't even pick up the phone for doctors here and I can't even get my prescriptions through I will have to stop coming. read more

This CVS pharmacy is the WORST. They will refuse to fill my doctor's prescription and said that I could just buy the same thing over the counter. You are NOT my doctor. Incredibly unprofessional pharmacy technicians and pharmacists. Rude, unhelpful, condescending, and judgmental. They arbitrarily decide whether to fill your prescription or not, even if your doctor calls them for you and tells them to fill it. They are inefficient and lack the most basic level of empathy for patients. read more

Today, I again went to CVS Moraga and stood in line, and stood in line, and stood in line. I have complained about this before as have so many others. I kept my mouth shut got my prescriptions ($138.00) and left. I received a request by e-mail to fill out a survey, which I did. I complained about the length of the wait and mentioned that me and several other people in line were commenting about how 1 person was working the counter and several others working in the back. I mentioned this in the survey, after all, they asked my opinion. Well shortly after I received a lovely little thank you e-mail telling me that the information I provided was false. I was called a liar! I find this highly offensive. The problem with this store is that they do not care! All they want to do is sell pills. They are not willing to look at anything outside their own perception and will NOT take responsibility for the areas in which they are weak. I plan to call the corporate office on Monday of next week to report this. I am not going to be called a liar. Even if there were two people on duty in the front, if it appeared to the several people in line that only one person was working the front, and call me a liar, but that was the conversation in line, if that is the observation from US YOUR CUSTOMERS, you have a big problem. Picked up an item from an end cap. I used to work in retail all I'm familiar there item usually are discounts. Great a dirty (dusty) bottle of dove hand soap under a sign that said .29. When I got to the registrar the cashier said je would not honor the price cause it was incorrect place however, there were 4 additional bottles on the shelf. I proceed to walk over to the merchandise to capture a picture of the pricing and inaccuracy of placement. For not just one but multiple items. The cashier refused to honor saying it was someone who placed it incorrectly. Not my problem. The price that was advertise should have been honored. Also the cashier tried to run to the shelf and change the merchandise from off the shelf it was placed before I got there of which I moved it back to capture it's original placement. The cashier claimed to be a manger, also was very combative. Didn't have a name tag on so I couldn't even I identify who he was. So now we're dealing with a unqualified manager who obvious doesn't come properly dressed for a shift, and also blames the customer for the stores poor merchandising skills. The training at store either needs to be redone or someone need to supervisor this under qualified manager to be able to understand the importance of shelf placement and pricing trust from your customers. Additional I purchased the starburst candy canes of which were not ringing up correctly. He grabs a sweet tart candy cane to scan for the product o purchase. I know this impact the accuracy of merchandise in inventory and creates a larger problem for the store bottom line. Manager should be there to help the customer not protect the pricing on the shelf when the customer is purchasing the item. The customer service at this pharmacy is atrocious! I called for an early refill due to going on vacation. Waited to speak with a pharmacist for over 30 minutes. Got disconnected once, then transferred me to the same non- pharmacy personal. When I finally spoke with a pharmacist, I was told that the prescription was prescribed to be dispensed on 8/31. The pharmacist said she would not dispense it until I called again!!! That prescriptions were filled on a first come, first serve basis! read more

There was no one available at the pick up window so I stood in the drop off line for the pharmacy. The pharm tech signaled the pharmacist to help since the line was getting long. When I got to the drop off window and wanted to pick up my prescription she said I was in the wrong line and could not help me. I stood in the pick up line and waited for another 15 minutes. When someone finally helped me they said my prescription had been sitting there for more than 14 days and that it got sent back and didn't have time to make it so that it would be done in one hour. I never got a phone call or text saying my prescription would get sent back. I only received text messages saying my prescription was ready. :( read more

I am a 49 year resident of Moraga and have been shopping at this location even before it was purchased from Long's. This is going to change. I purchased 4 items with a total cost of about $26.50. When to the cashier, GLORIA, and presented my 20% off coupon, she said that the coupon required a minimum $50.00 purchase. I showed her the wording which says "(up to $10 value.) Limit of one purchase-based coupon, i.e.$4 off $20 purchase. I finally gave up. Clearly I could not convince her with facts. I then presented her with a $30% off coupon for any one item. Gloria also declined that coupon because it did not include "sale" items. Her rational was that the register showed "sale" for each of the items. This means that the item is a sale as opposed to a credit or a promotional price. Needless to say I walked out, never to return. read more

I've tried to stay with this pharmacy for many years due to the convenient location in the center of Moraga. However, the service level is poor and the staff is not friendly. Seems understaffed on most days. I will go there for new prescriptions only now and then move it to mail pharmacy ASAP. We live in Moraga and very near this CVS store which is our preferred choice for prescriptions and other day-to-day goods. The store is always clean and presentable and has good deals. I like the responsiveness and helpfulness of the employees and in particular one very pleasant lady named Gloria. She always has a friendly and welcoming hello and despite our masks I can tell she always has a smile on her face! She is a credit to the CVS organization that I always look forward to seeing. This store is a mess. Things are misplaced so the prices are inaccurate and misleading. Not great service. They do not open on time.

The employees are rude and disrespectful. My mom had an incident today with one of the employees. There was a promotion going on where if you spent 30 dollars you would get a 10 dollar discount code. My mom noticed this and decided to grab a few candies so that she can meet that 30 dollar mark. She also used her own discount codes worth up to 7 dollars. She asked the employee if the total was enough so that she could get the discount. The employee told her that she had enough for the discount. Usually if you get a discount code it prints out as part of the receipt but when my mom's receipt printed out the discount code wasn't there. My mom asked the employee about it and he told her that she would have to come back tomorrow if she wanted the 10 dollar discount because a manager could correct it for her. My mom was carpooling with her employees and didn't want to hold them up and so she told them never mind and that it was okay. To which the employee replied by saying he didn't want to stand there wasting an hour anyways and that if she ever came back into the store that he would call the cops. The reply was unprofessional and disrespectful, threatening to call the cops on a customer unprovoked was uncalled for. My mom says she will no longer go to that establishment. read more

They make mistakes. Their systems send you text messages for medicine you haven't been prescribed for over a year. The text messages dint list the names of the medicine, so you have to come in. They don't apologize for making you come in for no reason. They are like monkeys who were given a fancy computer with no idea how to manage it. They blame your doctor but never their own terrible systems and lack of business processes. Totally goat rodeo. read more

I am so baffled at the experience I encountered by the employee Diana and the supervisor Jamie. I walk in as she was leaned over the counter on her phone, this really didn't bother me. She then proceeded to assist, as I came to pick up my photos. What bothered me, was her agitation towards me because she couldn't find my order when I gave her my name offered to give email confirmation etc, which she didn't want. Interesting. She finally found it after me saying my name more than 3x upon her request and I even said my last name, but scolded me, gave me such attitude. I even asked Ma'am why are You treating me this way? I have not seen any improvement in the last few years, since I wrote my last review of the Pharmacy part of this CVS. I did start getting most prescriptions via mail order but there are times when I need something filled right away. I ordered refills of two medications online at cvs.com, and went to pick them up. Their antiquated computer system requires signatures for all sorts of ridiculous and illegal things. One of them is that you want to "autofill" your prescriptions. I told the customer service person I will not sign that, I don't want autofill. She said I HAD to sign it or couldn't get my prescriptions, and that she would manually change it back. That's bad enough, but sure enough, a few days later I got notified that my "new" prescription would be ready in about 2 weeks!! I contacted them and said no way, what are you doing, I already said NO AUTOFILL and was told it would be fixed. The person on the phone was so rude and denied that it was a problem, because now she was going to manually override this "autofill" choice. I tried to get through to her that they need to fix this issue - her response was it's not her problem, and she hung up on me. HORRIBLE place to get your prescriptions filled. There's always a problem there. I'm trying to find a reliable place nearby that doesn't also get such bad reviews. read more

Worst CVS ever. Employees barely understand English and told me I look like a person who would give a minor a beer. I came in with my 77 year old mother, my 25 year old son and 20 year old daughter. They refused to sell me beer. Myself, mother, and daughter do not even drink alcohol ever. I was also told that if I came in with a 10 year old, they would sell me alcohol. Some please explain this logic. Please have some common sense and train employees to treat all customers the same and not discriminate me based on the age of my child. read more

Last Thursday went to pick up my prescription. The person who was there asked if I have insurance or not. Of course I have insurance you moron, what is the problem? Apparently between my doctor's office, this CVS, and my insurance company my prescription was not renewed. I asked them to give me 5 tablets in advance until I contact my doctor and insurance to sort things out. But the pharmacist named LEE, said in a very rude and condescending voice they can only give me 4. She was insisting this matter should be resolved in 24 hours. This was Thursday afternoon, the doctor's office and insurance company were closed. I didn't want to argue with her and left. Spent all of Friday on the phone with my doctor and insurance. Finally it was ready for pick up on Tuesday. Since I had 4 pills in advance there should be 26 in the bottle. When I got home and counted the pills there were only 24. Called CVS and they said come back and talk with the pharmacist. I went there today and it was the same Asian woman named LEE. She was again rude, uncooperative, patronizing, pompous, snooty, impolite, and offensive. She was repeating like a robot over and over that 2 people have counted these pills. I left without getting the pills they owed me. I have been a customer for 20 years, but enough is enough, I'll go to Walgreens instead.
