Easy to park clean inside very wide store compared to others. The area is very safe and nice. The parking lot is clean. They use needles which is nice..

Instructed to call to check on prescription, however....still nobody answering.

I never thought I'd write a review for a CVS, but was very happy about my experience here…read more First of all, this store is always deserted so you never need to wait in line for the knick knacks that you quickly need to grab, be it over the counter medicines, birthday cards, or photo prints. I printed a bunch of wedding photos because CVS had free 8x10s advertised online. When I first printed my 4x6s, the quality came out poorly. I talked to Scott and he helped me reprint everything (he even continued to reprint photos that were blurry until it came out really nicely.) The quality looks great considering how dirt cheap the photos are, especially compared to Shutterfly/Mpix etc. It was also nice to get them instantly vs waiting a couple weeks as people in the office wanted to see some prints. TL;DR - there's never any lines and the team was really helpful!

The staff here has no customer service skills and make you feel unwelcome and burdensome. No matter who helps me, i can count of them having an attitude problem. Today in particular I had Frances ring me up. Besides "name and DOB" she said nothing else but had the audacity to role her eyes after I said thank you even though there was nothing to thank her for since the bare minimum was done. If you can use a different pharmacy I highly recommend you do unless you like unpleasant individuals.

I'm my 97 yr old dad's caregiver and I finally decided to switch him over to Safeway vs Walgreens…read morefor his pharmacy needs. Safeway's pharmacy so far has been great compared to the nearby Walgreens in downtown Los Altos! I love that it's not some sort of long process on an automated system to speak to an actual human being. The voice prompts with Safeway's system get ya a human very fast and also you can enter your prescription fast too. Also, not sure if it's cause I always go in the middle of the day, but there's seldom too long a line at this one. Whereas, at the Walgreens, the staff behind the counter moves very slowww there with lines being at around 10-15 people each time I go. I heard a ton of customers moved over to this Walgreens after they closed the Rite Aid over at Homestead. Well, they can have it. I hope they don't discover the nearby Safeway. (Haha..I'm loving the short lines and quick process.) And plus, at least in my experience, they are friendly with nice personalities over the phone and they're very helpful in person too. I also thought the vaccines we've gotten here have gone well with a quick turnaround time. I am relieved to have switched my dad to this one. I live down in San Jose and have been very happy with the Safeway Pharmacy my husband and I have used for years so I finally decided it was time to get my dad set up at his nearby one too.

I had a deeply frustrating and discriminatory experience I had at Safeway Pharmacy (570 N Shoreline…read moreBlvd, Mountain View, CA 94043) Although I have picked up prescriptions from this location before, this particular visit stood out in the worst possible way. The pharmacist on duty, Wen Yi, treated me with clear hostility and unfairness, seemingly taking advantage of my limited English proficiency. As usual, I provided my name, address, date of birth, and phone number, but Wen Yi then insisted on seeing my ID - which was an unusual request, but one I complied with. Without any clear reason, she suddenly demanded that I pronounce the name of the medication "in English," threatening to withhold it if I couldn't. I explained that I didn't know how to pronounce it in English and could only provide the Chinese name, but she continued to repeat the same demand. Throughout the interaction, I remained calm and answered all of her questions. However, her attitude and unreasonable demands felt deeply insulting and discriminatory. No other pharmacy has ever asked me to pronounce medication names in English. Wen Yi's behavior did not feel like a standard procedure - it felt like targeted bullying. Especially troubling was the fact that I witnessed her handing over medications to other customers without asking for their ID or for them to pronounce medications. The double standard was obvious. To make matters worse, she initially told me the medication would cost $458 and asked if I wanted to pay. This was confusing, as I've received this same medication at this pharmacy before and it was fully covered by insurance. I refused to pay and asked for a breakdown. Only after I was insisting did she print a receipt - and suddenly the price dropped to $102. When I asked for an explanation, she had no answer. I agreed to pay the $102 but requested confirmation that my insurance wouldn't cover it. Instead of providing clarification, she demanded my insurance card again, despite the fact that my insurance information was already in the system and had been used previously. This interaction felt deliberately misleading and unnecessarily difficult. It seemed like she was trying to overcharge me, perhaps assuming that my limited English would prevent me from reporting her behavior. I was made to feel like a criminal, simply for trying to pick up a legitimate prescription. In the end, I went to a different pharmacy, where I received the same medication without issue. It was fully covered by insurance, no ID was required, and no one asked me to pronounce medications in English. A few days later, I returned to your pharmacy (after a prescription was mistakenly sent there) and was helped by a different pharmacist, who asked only for my name and address. This confirmed that all my information, including insurance details, was already on file. That smooth experience further proves that Wen Yi's behavior was not standard policy--it was targeted and intentional. We also reported the incident to the on-site Safeway duty manager, who informed us that Wen Yi is actually the pharmacy manager. If that's true, it makes the situation even more disturbing. Is this really the level of professionalism and customer care that Safeway stands behind? Pharmacist Wen Yi's conduct was unacceptable--deceptive, discriminatory, and unprofessional--and nearly resulted in significant financial loss for me.
