I am shocked at the poor reviews of this pharmacy. When I moved to the area, I switched to this CVS after having about a thousand issues with rude/unhelpful staff and crazy long waits at the West Hollywood location. Seriously, the pharmacists there were just flat-out mean sometimes and seemed annoyed to be there. My insurance only allows me to get certain medications at CVS, so I don't have much of a choice but to use the chain. Anyway, the pharmacy here is completely different. There is very rarely a line, and the pharmacists are SO polite, helpful, and kind. I have a wide variety of prescriptions, so I'm in there fairly often, and they are always so friendly. My prescriptions are always ready when I need them, and if I have any questions, they are very knowledgeable. If there's something they're not sure about, they'll look it up for you. All of the pharmacists I've encountered there are great. Brian is particularly awesome. They all seem to really care about their clients. The rest of the store is well-stocked, large, and clean. The worst experience ever. I currently have strep throat and was coming to fill in my prescription after being at the ER all morning. The pharmacist, Jasmine was so unbeliever rude to not only me, my doctor's office, but also 2 gentleman when I had most walked in. It all started with a mistake on my doctor's end, but they fixed it right away and tried to call it in with the correct pharmacist. She was rude and hung up on the doctors office and then asked me if I'm in pain, this medicine isn't going to solve that, so Why am I in such a rush to get my prescription filled, bc I'm sick and I don't want be waiting around at cvs. I want to be home. I've tried to give this pharmacy the benefit of the doubt with the volume they have to pump out but this place is seriously the worst service, not to mention some of the most incompetent pharmacists I've ever encountered. On more than 3 occasions my prescriptions have taken way over an hour or they don't even have the medication to begin with. CVS but be convenient for everything else you need, but my advice is to take the extra time to go to another pharmacy that will take better care of you more efficiently. read more

This happened an hour ago at the pharmacy. I handed a new prescription over to a pharmacist I didn't recognize. She took it, checked the shelves, and then handed it back to me. Pharmacist: "We don't have this." Me: "Oh. Is there a CVS nearby that does?" Pharmacist: "You can call and ask them." Me: "I'm used to you guys helping me find where to go... is there a way you can check the system?" Pharmacist gave me the most obnoxious "f you" fake smile in response and thrust my scrip back at me. I took my cue and left. I look as sick as I feel (which is to say, I look like I'm in pain and need my medicine) and the refusal to help was shocking... not typical of my experience with this branch. I took my Rx to a competitor down the street and they happily and speedily filled it. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy - WORST service ever. First time in - Needed to fill two prescriptions for the flu I had and after 15 minutes of waiting (even when no one was in front of me) handed the pharmacist both prescriptions. After about 6 minutes of her filling out stuff on the computer, she sent me off saying it'd be an hour. I was running a fever of 101 degrees, in so much pain, and came back an hour later and she only filled one - then acted like she was never given a second prescription. I waited for about 20 minutes to pick up my prescriptions (though there were plenty of staff around to help.) Another pharmacist took over and fixed the issue while the first girl just kept glaring at me from the back of the room. Spent an additional 10 minutes, in unbearable pain, waiting for my second prescription. Second time in - Two prescriptions were called in electronically. Went to pick them up - the pharmacist said one was available at that moment, the other had to be ordered and wouldn't be ready for a week. I explained that I needed to use one (the one they had on hand) for a week before even starting the second prescription and she kept asking which one I wanted to pick up today. Like she didn't understand me. I kept having to repeat myself and she kept looking at me like I was an idiot, when I had repeatedly said I'd take the one on hand today, since it's the first one I needed to use anyway, and I'd wait for the other one to come in. She was so rude about helping me. Second rude, young pharmacist I have encountered. And by the sound of things, TOO MANY other customers are experiencing the same type of service. Both times I've been there, even when no one else is in front of me, I've stood at that window for far too long without being acknowledged, even after making eye contact with the pharmacists several times. They keep you waiting for as long as they want, walking around the room and not paying any attention to you. Now, I've had three missed calls from them in the past three days and yet they've not once left a voice mail. No "Hey, your prescription is ready for pick up" or "We need more information from you, please call us back" etc. Nothing. As if their call is neither urgent or important. SO when I finally get the chance to call them back, the phone just keeps ringing and ringing and ringing and ringing....I was seriously listening to that classical music for six solid minutes! Honestly, whomever owns this pharmacy needs to do some firing and hire professionals who actually care about the needs of their customers. I am changing my pharmacy. These pharmacists are simply awful. read more

Was excited that this new location opened up in my neighborhood. Dropped by one day to discover that they keep all their condoms and lubes and shit locked up in a case. Can't figure out if they're trying to tell me I live in a shitty neighborhood or if they just hate safe sex. I'm not embarassed to ask, but who has time for this nonsense? Faster to go to the Walgreen's less than a half of a mile North on Vineland, where they're adults about this. A word to CVS: if you're THAT concerned about theft, put them behind the pharmacist's counter. I'd much rather ask there than wander around looking for someone with the key to the astroglide locker. read more

After coming here more often over the past handful of months, I have to knock off a star. The self-checkout registers at the front of the store are wonderful because they take away some of the pain of how desperately understaffed this store is. All the pain is felt when you use the pharmacy. There are some great employees there but even Brian, as sweet as he is, can't really minimize the agony of standing there waiting for something simple and quick while he takes care of something complex and time consuming. It's not that folks don't know how to prioritize tasks in order to be efficient, it's that the store is SO busy and SO understaffed that if they pushed away the complex tasks until later, they would never get done, so plentiful are the quick simple ones. read more

Zero stars for both the actual store & the pharmacy. It just looks like the kind of shady place you would get stabbed but on top of that the pharmacy is awful. I always stop by after getting the CVS courtesy calls every month saying my prescription is ready to be picked up. It has yet to ever actually be ready when I show up to pick up. Also twice now they say to have a seat and it will be ready in 10 minutes, then they forget about me & 20 minutes later I have to go up and ask again & they look all frazzled & say to wait another 10 minutes. Absolute nightmare! I just moved to North Hollywood and I tried to transfer my prescription to this location. In the last 4 days I've called countless times and NO ONE answered the phone at this pharmacy. The last few times I've gone here to get a prescription filled, they've told me that the pharmacist *just* went out to lunch and that it would be an hour to an hour and a half before they could fill my prescriptions. This is the worst pharmacy ever. I can't tell you how many times they've told me they'd put my RX on automatic refill, but of course didn't. I can't tell you how many times I've called in an RX and gone in to pick it up after a few days (as a courtesy to give them time to fill it) and find out at the register that NOTHING is ready under my name. I can't tell you how many times I've been told, "It'll be ready by Friday" (after my called-in RX wasn't initially filled) and then I'll show up on Friday and NOTHING will have been filled. They are absolutely the worst team ever comprised, and CVS should be ashamed of themselves that they haven't heeded all of these other bad reviews and done something about it. read more

They are the worse pharmacy ever. Doctor's office called in prescriptions 3 days ago and still not filled. I am forced to use CVS via my work and had Caremark call them to see what the issue is, found out that I need to order 3 months worth of meds and doctor only said 1 month. So God forbid I die next month then there goes money down the drain for 3 months of pills (and it ain't cheap). The Caremark rep also said how rude the pharmacy was there. I have no choice but to use them, as they are close to my home, but given a choice I would NOT. They stink and would advise anyone, if you have a choice go to Rite Aid, have used them for years and they are wonderful. Not this lot at CVS. JUST AWFUL. read more

The absolute worst. I have wasted hours of my life at this CVS pharmacy. Furthermore, it takes multiple visits in order to obtain your medication. At my most recent visit, I was told that my medicine (which I need daily in order to live) was not available despite being told that the technician was filling my script days before. To make matters worse, the technicians couldn't care less. They give you the thousand mile stare every time you talk to them. God forbid you're at risk for a heart attack, because this pharmacy will make your blood pressure soar. Avoid at all costs unless you like seeing yourself age. read more

Not so much! I appreciate the fact that this place had generally awesome employees (they were so freakin' friendly!), BUT some aspects.. well, not so much. Firstly, ALL CVS' are a rip off, in general. I was with my bestie to fill a prescription for his wicked sinus infection. Not only does CVS charge an arm an a leg, but the wait time was over an HOUR. Whoa! Not cool. -_- There really weren't that many people. When we came back after an hour, it still wasn't ready, and we gave them a few more minutes. Granted, everyone is super nice, but I can't kill an hour with my buddy at the Habit next door every time, can I? Damn you, Habit, for pulling me into your place with the wafting scent of onion ringy goodness... damn you!! Anywho, I digress. I only visit CVS for emergency type situations. Otherwise, Target or other places (even Ralphs) tend to be cheaper, and for meds, I frequent Pacific Grand (in Glendale). Wayyy cheaper, and helpin' the little guy feels better than helping the CVS bigwigs. ;) read more

This is my go to store since I live walking distance from it. I gave 4 stars because there are always out of stock on sale or special items. I can understand being out toward the end of the week, but they are usually out the day the sale starts. Other than that, all of there employees are friendly and have excellent customer service skills. They always greet you, always ask if you need help and always with a smile. The pharmacy workers are also great and my prescriptions are filled in a timely manner. read more

Worst CVS location! I have been to multiple CVS through out the country, but this location is absolutely awful. Photo department lies about their machine is broken 100% times when I go pick up my photos which I received a confirmation email it was ready. Pharmacy is beyond slow, even you set online request, when you go there, they will have no clue what you are there for. Bad!!! Exceptional pharmacists, they will go above and beyond to answer any questions you may have beyond just your said medication. I was inquiring about sister medications and she sat there with me explaining all the ins and outs, as if she was my doctor. I couldn't recommend this pharmacy enough! We went to this store to return something and the girl working there had a real Holier than Thou attitude problem like she really didn't care and didn't want to be working there . She was very mean and had a fast-paced sarcastic way about her and snapped at us when we asked her a simple question. Hopefully, if enough people complain about her, they 'll get rid of her soon! This CVS isn't perfect, but I'm giving it 5 stars to help make up for what I feel are unfair reviews. This is actually the best CVS I've ever been to on a regular basis, and that's because of the kindness and compassion of their employees, as well as stellar management. OK, so I'm there every 3-4 days, because I live across the street. That might be the reason why every employee seems to know me and greet me like I was part of their family. Even when they're busy (which is almost always) they will always ask me if I need any help finding anything. Well, I usually don't need any help, because I know where everything is....except for the one time I left my cane by the coupon kiosk and panicked when I couldn't find it. I hobbled home, leaving my phone number with Jonathan, who deserves ALL of those stars. He found it and called me. What a sweetheart! ALL of the employees are not only pleasant but friendly and caring. They act like they actually care when they ask you how you are. As for the pharmacy, I've just accepted that it will take them about an hour, so I just come back the next day and everybody's happy. I have had a prescription following my surgery that was a controlled substance and I would have had to wait for a few days to get it, but that is the fault of the corporation, not this particular franchise. Big deal...I just went to Walgreen's for that one thing. Finally, this pharmacy has greatly improved over the past few months. When I was asked to complete a survey to get some "Extra Bucks", I expressed that I was not greeted at the pharmacy right away. I just wanted the recognition is all. Oddly enough, they started putting that into practice, so even if I had to wait for my medication, I didn't leave feeling annoyed. Over all, this is an excellent store and I will continue to give them my business as long as I live in the neighborhood. Now if I can just get used to the siren call of The Habit as I walk by, all will be good. read more

This particular CVS pharmacy does not keep accurate records of patients prescriptions. It's always a nightmare to try and obtain your meds. Every month the pharmacists and staff are completely incompetent. I only go because my medical insurance makes its policy holders use CVS. I don't recommend anyone going to this location. They're the worst and the most rude staff I've ever encountered. They're slogan "we care" is a joke. read more
