The inside of this CVS is actually really, clean, organized, and well-stocked with everything you'd expect. The staff is friendly, helpful, and they usually get you through checkout pretty quickly. It's definitely one of the better CVS locations I've been to when it comes to the actual store experience. That being said, one thing to be aware of is the outside area. There are often quite a few homeless individuals hanging around near the entrance and in the parking lot. While most of the time it's not a direct issue, it can make walking into the store a little uncomfortable, especially at night. Started a new mobile pickup line with app that gets priority over the normal line. Went one day and was first in the non-mobile app line and the mobile app line kept getting people and I was constantly waiting since the mobile app line was getting called up first. I went shopping at CVS Shopping this afternoon to put some food items that were on sale. I bought 2 boxes for $8.00 on these BelVita Cranberry and Orange Breakfast Biscuits. These Breakfast Biscuits usually are really expensive at my local grocery store at Walmart. But today when I went to do my shopping at his CVS Pharmacy Store I noticed these BelVida Breakfast Biscuits were on Sale 2 for $8.00. This is a delicious breakfast treat for me to eat something healthy and delicious! There are 5 packages of 4 Cranberry Orange Biscuits in every box. That's a total of 20 biscuits. I bought 2 boxes @ $4.00 each to total $8.00. Molly rang up my purchase today. Molly was very helpful and gave me excellent customer service today. This CVS Pharmacy Store location had a lot of customers shopping for their great products and excellent prices on sale today running their Advertisement all this week. The store is always clean and the staff are friendly. The down side is that there are homeless that sleep or hang out on the sidewalk in front of the store. I don't blame CVS for it. My husband and I take a trip to this CVS Pharmacy at least 2-3 times a week. They provide not only our monthly medication refills but various other items that we might need in a hurry. They have various beverage items, food items, makeup items, dog food and toy items, snacks, and many other things. I went to pick up a prescription at 11 AM while I was picking it up. I was told I had another prescription. That would be ready in 15 minutes. Did I wanna wait? I said no I'll come back in a couple of hours. I came back five hours later and I was told that prescription would be ready in 10 minutes And nicely said when I was here at 11 and you told me it would be ready in 15 minutes that was five hours ago. I was told from his computer he couldn't tell me all he could say is it would be ready in 10 minutes. I left and before I even got out of the parking lot I got a text message saying the prescription was ready. Unfortunately, I was already heading the other direction. What does this mean? I'm a physician that was working on a patients prior authorization for a pharmaceutical, that the pharmacy had already messed up twice. The pharmacist/tech that answered hung up mid call when they realized that they couldn't figure out how to bill the proper insurance company. I went there to pick up medications at the pharmacy and some first aid supplies. The pharmacy people were fantastic and gave me a coupon to use at the store. There was an issue with the coupon and the manager was called. I believe his name was Anthony. He was quick to arrive but very snappy and sassy telling me that I had the wrong first aid products for the coupon. I told himni didn't understand because the item was the same as what was in the first aid isle. To which he responded "I know what isle things are on. This is on isle 21 and first aid is 19". Then told me to go get the tight product. I returned eith the same item in a different color from isle 19 and he was able to make the coupon work. He left after an eye roll and a "there. CVS 24 hour Carlsbad location has truly neglected the service of the pharmacy. The medication is not filled within specific time as directed by doctors. In 3 separate occasions my medication was not in stock and I was told an order was placed. I called several days later as pharmacist told me medication would arrive. When I contacted CVS another pharmacist told me manufacturer they're ordering from doesn't have my medication in stock. Pharmacist never called other CVS pharmacy's to see if my medication was available. It was a holiday weekend, 3 days no medication that doctor ordered. I spoke with a pharmacist who hung up the phone on me, as I was asking for manager assistance. I have now contacted ALL my doctors and have transferred all my medication out of CVS system, to another local pharmacy. This saddens me as I have been a loyal CVS customer for over 10 years. Corporate needs to review the pharmacy and check on policies and procedures being met to support patients needs. read more

they ignore the drive through window, have it blocked off with a plastic board.... opened 15 minutes ago.... just called..... they said they didn't open it because they are short staffed.... but there is no sign or note saying drive through closed. I can not think of a single time that I have used this pharmacy and had a good experience. 4.23.19 was definitely the worst of the bunch. Pharmacy checkin,prescriptions are ready buts since we are using a coupon. They have to return the medication, get the rx reconfirmed with pharmacist just to give us the coupon cost. We called ahead of time informing them of our coupon. But no, 45 minutes later a 30 day supply cost us 40 dollars. coupon not applied to this medication. The inflation of prescription medications is out of hand, especially evident at this pharmacy. Therefore my recommendation is to Go to goodrx.com, or download the app,and take your prescription somewhere else. Because at other pharmacies your medications could cost up to 4 times less. read more

BEWARE OF EXPIRED FOOD/BEVERAGES.. I've been to this location a handful of times and find that I must be extremely vigilant about expiration dates. The other day my boyfriend picked up a coconut water for me and as I took a swig, my eyes fell onto the expiration date and saw "best by 12/10/15". So gross!! I quickly discarded the carton and drank as much water as I could. Previous purchases have included expired or near expired chocolates/snacks, on several occasions (items grabbed on the way home from work, thus the lack of attention paid to "best by" dates).
