Came here to use the drive thru and pick up my meds. This is the fastest way to get your meds as they do prioritize drive thru pick up orders very quickly. Always a fast and professional experience by very cool and nice CVS workers. Seems like everybody who works here is always happy and friendly. You can even speak to the licensed pharmacist from your car if you have any questions about your meds which is pretty cool. There are 2 lanes to pick up your meds at this drive thru. This cvs is at a great location and the service is always friendly. However I've been a few times at night and it's strange because I couldn't find any employees to help me check out for quite a while so I waited for a longer time than usual. I understand staffing if tough but it felt weird and seemed less safe. Good thing it's in a nice neighborhood. read more

This place is a trip. If it wasn't for the staff being friendly and polite, it would easily be a 2 star as far as the pharmacy is concerned. 90% of my CVS visits here are to the pharmacy and that's it. If you chose to use the pharmacy like I do, here's what your working with: Sometimes the drive thru window is broken which means you need to go inside and wait..... (it's fixed now) There's always a line at the pharmacy. A long one. If they tell you your scripts will be filled sometime in the afternoon, save yourself the trouble and just come back the next day. Check your prescriptions in your profile and be specific because they will give you the ones you are not ready to refill and you will have to go back and get the one that they should have given you, the next day. Calling the pharmacy is like playing slots- sometimes you get lucky and they will answer, most times they will not. Don't even think of picking up prescriptions on a weekend even when they say what time they will have it ready by- it won't be ready. read more

A new pharmasist came on board recently. She is unbelievably RUDE! She is mean and unprofessional. I transferred my perscriptions to the CVS at Desert Ridge. When I told her I was doing so, she said "oh good!" and Hung Up on me. Who does that? Please do not take your health needs to this terrible pharmasist. read more

Absolutely not!!! Took our tween to their clinic for a head cold. Possibly flu. Possible ear infection (she doesn't feel pain when they develop so we tend to get her checked out just in case). They refused to see her because she said her neck was hurting. Referred us to the emergency room. ER doc examined her and said there was NO way this was meningitis, didn't present as such, no other symptoms. Certainly saw zero reason to test for meningitis. Flu test was negative and no signs of an ear infection. Just received our ER bill for EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. Thanks for NOTHING, CVS. If you are incapable of assessing a COMMON COLD then please, just close your doors, and save the rest of our community from the extraordinary expense of your incompetence. read more

Horrible location. Went into the minute clinic last week for my daughter only to be turned away said they couldn't do anything for her. We had an appointment. We were on time they just turned us away. Then rescheduled an appointment this week for my wife to visit minute clinic only to have my appointment canceled as I was walking into the store. Same lady said there's nothing they could do for me. If either of these results in serious illness that couldn't be helped I'm seeking an attorney. read more

Review is for the minute clinic. Pharmacy and store are fine. I was very sick and scheduled an appointment for the first available which was the next day. An hour before the appointment I replied to the CVS text to confirm my appointment. I replied quickly with 'C' to confirm, but unfortunately CVS considers that CANCEL and I was unable to fix it. This was my fault, but also the first time I've ever seen C = cancel instead of confirm. It should at least send a follow up text to make you confirm cancellation. I figured it would be fine since it was so close to my scheduled appointment, so I went in a few minutes early assuming they would be understanding. The Dr. was completely apathetic and said I would have to schedule a new appointment. The next available appointment was for 7 hours later. There was only one person in line ahead of me, and the Dr. could have helped me out if she wanted to. I don't believe their system is so strict that she couldn't have given me my appointment slot back or squeezed me in given the circumstance... if my time slot was actually rebooked that quickly. read more

The pharmacy is horrible. CVS you make enough money on people to STAFF your store! Customers are expected to WAIT forever in the pharmacy line because often times the drive through is closed/ for no apparent reason- but that is just inconvenient. The reason I hate your store is because of your pharmacist and employees being so rude as if the customers are at fault just for being in line. I can only assume they are overworked and there is NO SIGN that says you cannot buy anything else (Tylenol ect) at the pharmacy counter when buying your own medication. I was told, "there's a line and we are understaffed so you can't buy that here" excuse me- I waited in that Line! Now I'm expected to go wait in another line because you don't have time to scan an item and press enter??? I will not send ANY business your way. read more

It's most nearest convenience store near our home, literally walkable but this was the first time we visited this store since we moved in this neighborhood from march 2019. I know it's strange , but never felt a need to go here when Fry's and Walmart are not too far. We forgot to buy milk and so visited here today as our emergency. Store is at corner of signal and the board from entrance of road was not lightened hence anyone can miss the turn like we did. Store was clean and tidy. Everything well organized too. They have pharmacy, beauty, dairy, wine, alcohol and all other necessary sections. However high prices like typical CVS. I always feel CVS is not value for money when other similar competitors have reasonable prices for same products. Good to have in neighborhood for urgent needs but won't suggest for weekly shopping. read more

Can not talk to anyone in the pharmacy- MUST leave a message!!! To be clear this is not JUST this CVS location. My provider submitted a script for a medication and I received a text from CVS saying I needed to address an issue with the script my provider sent in. When I called to see what the issue was I could not talk to anyone on the phone. The only option (despite the pharmacy being open and staffed) was to leave a message and wait for a return call...whenever that would be. I finally ended up having to drive to the location to speak to a pharmacy tech! UNACCEPTABLE! Ended up the item was not covered by insurance and my provider needed to submit a different script which was covered. When the second script was sent in, I got another text saying a script had been sent but they had to "order" the item. Having no idea if this meant that I could get it later in the day or it had to be ordered and would take days. I attempted to contact the pharmacy again and again it was leave a message. Again I had to go in to the location to speak to someone and found out that it could take days but was in stock at another location. Being SO frustrated, I attempted to transfer the script to another provider entirely. I CALLED Fry's, Walgreens, AND Walmart pharmacies and actually got through to a PERSON on the phone with minimal waiting. Each could not get the drug I needed, so I ended up getting it through CVS but I will absolutely go out of my way to NOT use CVS going forward since they are absolutely NOT customer focused and only focused on their agenda. The lack of being able to speak to a customer service rep, pharmacy tech or anyone when calling is absolutely ridiculous for a business! Let alone a pharmacy dispensing drugs that people may have questions about! Crazy how they have changed and the customer NO SERVICE!!! NO shock why there are financial issues with CVS! read more

CVS 18591 N 59th Ave Phoenix Az is filled with incompetent people or they need a new computer system. I get three refills on my prescription. They informed me on the initial prescription that the prescriber number is incorrect. My doctor contacted them with the correct prescriber number. I pick up the prescription. Then every mother after that for the last three months my doctor has had to contact them with the prescriber number. So monthly I have to wait for my doctor to contact them with the exact same information they provided the previous month. They are wasting my time and my doctors time and no one cares. I have complained directly to this location. It's the only 24 hr pharmacy near me so I have been patient. But this is ridiculous read more

This review is primarily based on how exceedingly difficult it is to actually talk to a pharmacy staffer on the telephone. The phone tree is maddeningly slow, too many options you don't want when you need to speak with the pharmacy, too many irrelevant information about getting Covid vaccines, and then finally, after endless questions you are finally presented with an option of speaking to the pharmacy. As to this store itself, staff is very friendly but empty shelves, products suddenly dropped, constant re-arranging of aisles for no apparent reason other than to confuse shoppers, makes it understandable that CVS is in financial trouble. read more

I have 2 stars only because I have in the past had a good experience, but as a pharmacy they really should be doing a bit better that what they are. I know it is the management of the pharmacy and store that has made it so awful. Sometimes they tell me there is a national shortage of medicines but the pharmacy of a different company down the street has it. Sometimes they may only have A pharmacist working the whole pharmacy. That doesn't work. The problem is, my needs are not as big as others. I can't imagine what someone who is disabled goes through when this has. Of course it does. It's so sad to think that people who rely on medical care and medicine don't get it better of places like this. read more

The staff on the shop floor were very friendly when I walked in however with regards to the Minute Clinic I do NOT recommend this location. The nurse practitioner I saw this morning was unfriendly, unhelpful, and didn't fill me with confidence that she was even competent. (I also noticed the exam bed, around the bottom, was filthy and had a brown sticky residue splattered along it... Gross.) I should have just made the drive to see my primary doctor (even with a fever & sinus infection oh and pregnant !!!) this did NOT end up being more convenient. From my 'sick bed' I have had to call in a complaint to head office and try to get the 'delayed printed prescription' changed (after speaking with my primary care doctor) ... what a waste of time and money!! read more

I had the best experience at the Minute Clinic and at the Pharmacy. Every employee that I came in contact with was very attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. Although the personell were great, CVS is a fraud. I scheduled a physical for my sons sports at the minute clinic because I asssumed it would be priced competatively and that they would take insurance because their site says they do for most things and Ive not had an issue there before. But after I got there (and their system never allows me to sign in saying they cant find my appointment-verified to be accurately made) , we finally had to knock on the door to let them know they had an appt and they sit us down and say, btw, we dont accept ins. for physicals and its $69. At this point its too late to leave and Im completely frustrated so I agree to pay it. We wait in the lobby again and knock on the door again because this 1.25hr appointment is way too long and we are running late to my sons training. Im just not going back there. Partly my fault for not calling to verify price, something Ive been trained not to do for Dr. visits. Go to Urgent Care, its only $25 there. read more

Went in today towards the end of the day just because it was convenient and I just needed one thing for the night. Went in the lady at the cash register was wrapping up the trash bag under the table. She came to the register and didn't even wash her hands with sanitizer or anything! She continued to touch everything. I was shocked I will never be back to this location disgusting ! All is great at this CVS except the blonde pushy lady that checks people out. Every time we come in she always makes it super uncomfortable when she offers the CVS plan. I enjoy coming to this CVS location. I live right around the corner. The staff is super friendly, weather your at the pharmacy, getting photos or purchasing any items. I have gone through the drive thru to pick up my prescription and had a minimal amount of time spent through the drive thru (waiting to be helped and receiving my prescription). I have also called the pharmacy, and they quickly answer their phones and never put me on hold. read more

If you have United healthcare do not attempt to go to any CVS if you're looking for any sort of vaccination. I spent nearly an hour having my insurance declined even though when I checked on line my insurance was active. From the very start of this I asked the pharmacist if they no longer took United healthcare. They assured me they did, only to find out at the end that they did not take United healthcare. A very frustrating exchange that could've been resolved in five minutes but instead took nearly an hour. read more

I LOVE the pharmacy people - the pharmacist even came out once to help me choose a vitamin supplement to help with my dog's arthritis. So cool! However, we have had the worst experiences with the Minute Clinic. The nurse practitioner was extremely rude and we walked out in the middle of it because she was THAT condescending. I went into this CVS today and it struck me that it was very clean, organized, and bright. Also, when I came in, one of the employees greeted me and asked if I needed anything. I was able to find everything on my own with well-marked aisles. When I checked out, the cashier was very friendly and efficient.
