Hate to rate a place solely on one employees behavior but this guy happened to be the manager named "Mo". He's an older middle eastern guy who speaks with an accent. His attitude totally sucks. Long story short he raised his voice to a female customer when she tried to explain that the self checkout register wouldn't accept her coupon. I happen to be using the register next to her and the same issue occurred with me and a coupon. The manager actually raised his voice with me and reprimanded me for not using the machine correctly. This guy had some balls'! I had no choice but to raise my voice and remind him he wasn't addressing one of his relatives. Needless to say he came to his senses and walked away. I have been going here since the 80s, and back in the day when Joseph the Pharmacist had his photo on the wall, it was GREAT. But the last few years in particular it just seems to be falling apart. For the last 6 months in a row they have messed up a prescription that I have that is the same item for 2 different dosages (because the full dosage goes through the roof in price.) I have spoken to the primary pharmacist, the lead evening pharmacist and practically every tech that works there, and still every month it gets messed up. They drop one prescription or the other, they don't, won't can't sync them and every month I have to go through the whole process of changing lines to talk to the intake side of the pharmacy when the pick up side can't work things out. On top of that I have other prescriptions that they don't follow through with and keep the refills on auto, or call the doctor when they lapse. It's an ongoing frustration that I have dealt with over and over again. Today, however, pushed me to the point of finally writing this review. My husband had surgery last week and there appears to be an issue so he went and saw the doctor and they decided he needed to be on two strong antibiotics. I got in line at the drop off and the woman in front of me obviously had some issues at the counter. Oscar (a stellar employee and the only one I don't ever have an issue or problem with, he is top notch,) was trying to deal with the woman at the counter (I think she showed up the wrong day for a COVID vaccine and was raising a stink). It took several minutes, probably at least 10. One male pharmacist walked by and said as he passed "We'll be with you in a minute." I stood and continued to wait. While I waited I heard the head pharmacist (the one whose photo is on the wall) yell at Oscar, "Type this out NEXT! This is next," and she slammed down a paper on the counter near the other computer) I wasn't happy, assuming this meant I would have to wait longer. Another 5 minutes went by and another female pharmacy tech passed by and said "someone will be with you shortly." Oscar is working his ass off, while everyone except the overwhelmed yelling pharmacist seems to be moving slowly around (mind you there were no customers in the pick up line, but now two or three people behind me in the drop off line.) Finally Oscar finishes with the woman in front of me and to my pleasant surprise calls me to the counter rather than going off to whatever the pharmacist told him was the priority. I handed him the two prescriptions and told him him I would be back later in the afternoon to pick it up. He told me I didn't need to wait and they would text me when they were ready. When I hadn't heard anything by 3:50 I called the pharmacy. 15 minutes later someone finally picked up, and I spoke with a woman on the phone who pulled up my husband's records and was told they didn't have any open prescriptions for him. I told her about my morning visit and she put me on hold while she spoke to the pharmacist. She came back and told me that the prescription was on hold because they couldn't confirm the credentials of the doctor who had written the prescription. She told me they had called the doctor but they couldn't get through and didn't get a response back. She confirmed the doctor's phone number which was the same as they had and she told me to hold while she tried to call them. 30 seconds later she came back on the line and told me that she actually could not call the doctor because she had someone on hold on every line they had. She told me I should call myself. Got off the phone, called the dr's office and the line was answered directly by the doctor's office staff and I explained the situation. She told me no one had called the office nor left any message regarding checking the doctor's credentials. I gave her the pharmacy's phone number and she promised to call and take care of it. An hour later I still hadn't heard anything and my husband still hadn't received the text saying the prescription was in. I called the pharmacy because by now the doctor's office was gone for the day. I was on hold more than 25 minutes before the wonderful Oscar picked up. He recognized my name and knew immediately there had been an issue with confirming my husband's doctor's "credentials" (to prescribe antibiotics mind you, NOT narcotics or anything.) I caught him up and told him that the doctor had called them by this point. He looked and verified that the doctor's office had in fact called in and confirmed everything as needed. Apologetically Oscar asked me if 30 minutes was sufficient to pick up the prescription and I said it would be fine. Within 20 minutes my husband got the text it was ready (because apparently Oscar is the only one with both customer service skills and the ability to actually get anything done.) I came today to pick up my prescription that's been ready for over a week since I've been getting messages saying to come pick it up ... and this man here MAHMUD was the most unprofessional person I've ever met! He was laughing in my face asking me why I needed my prescription! And then told me it was unavailable for me to pick up. He even then started yelling at me telling me " you just want free medicine! "While he stood there and laughed and smiled at my frustration of the problem. I told him how rude and unprofessional he was being and he said to my face. "What? Smiling is being rude now?? " When I was clearly upset about the situation and needed someone Mature enough to handle it. I don't know how you can hire someone with such lack of empathy and professionalism to substitute as a manager here. Your dealing with people's illnesses and it's not something to laugh about. I'm a type one diabetic which is a very serious disease as he should know since he's a pharmacist! They are open 24 hours a day which is the plus. Their stock of items is marginal so you get what you are looking for 4 out of 5 times. Made the mistake of visiting here again. I thought this pharmacy was bad, but it has gotten steadily worse. This is the most poorly managed pharmacy around. They text that medications are ready for pick-up, then when you show up, they say to wait an hour. Other times, they tell you they're out of medication and rather than transferring it to other branches, they tell you to call the doctor and have them send it to another branch. Total incompetence. I used to drive 25 minutes out of my way to come to this pharmacy because of Michael, the phacy tech. What they did to him was malicious , kniving, and honest to God heartbreaking . I've always had a positive experience at this CVS. Today my review is for the pharmacy. Scheduled a flu shot online for12:30 pm. I arrived 15 minutes early because there us always a wait/line. I have no complaint about the line. Today I got lucky no one was in the drop off or pick up lines. I give my reason for being there and the employee tells me the person that administers all vaccines has gone to lunch. Does he not check the appointment scheduler before leaving? What is the point of making an appointment? I wasn't the only one who had to wait. Didn't get my shot until 12:50 pm. Next year I'll be going to Sams or Walgreens. read more

Conveniently located by my house HOWEVER if it's not a dosage mistake it's texts saying my prescription is ready and I get there and it isn't. Beware of uncaring service near closing time. My wife needed pain killer on a Sunday night 10 minutes before they closed, the tech told me they did not have the prescription and therefore we would have to return Monday morning. Later that night checking with doctor to transfer the prescription to another location that stays open later because we really needed it, we were told it had already been processed there so we could not pick it up somewhere else. If I could give this pharmacy "0" stars I would. We have been having our prescriptions filled at this pharmacy for many years, and their efficiency keeps getting worse and worse. We get calls that prescriptions are ready for pick up. When we go to pick them up it's the wrong one. They pull prescriptions off their automatic renewal system without any explanation as to why. When you call to try and straighten out the issue, you are put on hold forever, only to finally get a live person who continually talks over you, never letting you finish a thought, giving one the impression they just want to get you off the phone. Maybe if they would spend a little more time in the beginning, clarifying the customer's issues and requests, they wouldn't have to spend as much time later handling problems. read more

The pharmacy here is a joke. The people who work there are unfriendly and incompetent, with the exception of one of the girls who rings me up (she has an accent). This pharmacy used to be good until about a year ago, I think they got rid of the manager and found another one who doesn't know what the heck they are doing. I'm never going to go back there again. They are unprofessional, slow, rude and don't know what the hell they are doing. This post is long out due.. I keep giving them "another chance" and it's just not working out. My Dr called in nausea medication today. I called an hour later to see when it would be ready.. because when your nauseous you really want something to help, right? 1st person on the phone says she can't find anything, then goes to check and comes back, still nothing. She said that they already put in orders from calls this morning. I told her the doctor called an hour ago and she puts me on hold again. Then the manager comes on the phone saying that my Dr needs to fill out paperwork and that my prescription will be filled after that. My dr has sent prescriptions there before with no problem. So I ask when do they think that will be? She responds "I dont make any promises". I said "well give me an estimate, 1 hour, 4 hours, tomorrow???" She said 2 hours minimum then hung up on me. So I had my dr call it in to Walgreens. No issues and it's already ready as I typed this. CRAZY!! read more

By far one of the worst experiences I have had as a customer. Purchased a thermometer here then a couple of weeks later tried to return it, and that is where the fiasco started. Tried to return it but I didn't have a receipt and as I walk up to the register I see on her nametag "Manager" and I think to myself perfect, well boy was I mistaken. I explain the situation and she says I can't return it without the receipt giving me no other options. I tell her well "Can you look it up in your system?" she rolls her eyes and says "Yes". We proceed to look it up and she says i haven't sold one for three weeks and proceeds to ask "When did you buy this?" i said "I don't know". I then step away to look up when I did buy it. It was two weeks ago. I then step back to the register which is now attended by another employee since the manager is helping another customer. I look over and see the manager looking at us and shaking her head. I thought to myself this disrespectful woman, I bought this and she's just gonna be disrespectful to my face. She walks over and tells me I can't return it, it doesn't match our system. I say I bought it here on this week two weeks ago and she says well I only have something here for three weeks ago. I ask can I see you system. I look and see that the dates line up this ignorant lady doesn't even know how to count no wonder why she is angry and working at a CVS. So finally to sum it all up I got to prove that she wrong doesn't know how to count and was able to return my purchase even though she went out of her way to try and stop me from returning it. I would rate them a ZERO if I could. Horrible pharmacy practices! My Doctor called in a refill prescription to this pharmacy over a month ago. On 5/5/19, I called into the pharmacy to refill my prescription (RX). The automated system confirmed it would be ready the next day. It wasn't. Pharmacy tech said they would call me when RX was ready. Fast forward to today 5/15/19. No call or anything from pharmacy regarding status of RX. NO ONE in the pharmacy did anything until I sent my son in to pick up the RX today. Apparently, they figured out today. Just today!!! That the RX required prior auth from the insurance, then LIED claiming my doctor "just barely sent over the RX" and that's why they are just now processing it. Insurance only covering 30 pills. Fine. Pharm tech says it will be ready in no more than 30 min. ONE HOUR later, prescription still "in the queue." Absolutely unacceptable! Shame on you CVS pharmacy! Your pharmacy customers depend on the competency and efficiency of your pharmacy staff. I used to LOVE this store but am determined to transfer all 4 of my family members RXs to another more competent pharmacy! read more

The only reason I come to this cvs is because it is literally a stones throw from m house and super convenient for me plus it's 24hrs. That's all. Other than that I hate this cvs. I've come several times and have experienced terrible customer service from multiple people. 1st incident: when I was paying with my card I was trying to put my wallet away after and instead of saying "would you like any cash back?" Politely as is professional, the older lady behind the counter yells "cash back" at me to which I ask "what?" And she points at the credit card screen as if she has no time for me to put my wallet away for 15seconds. There was no wait line, she was just rushing me for no reason and not even trying to hide her condescending tone. 2nd incident: one night as I was ready to pay for my items I walk up to the register and a girl probably around 18 says she can help me. Awesome! Except for the fact that as she helped me she didn't end a conversation of her gossiping with her coworker around the same age. I felt super uncomfortable standing there as if I was interrupting their super important conversation, God forbid they wait 3 minutes to take care of their customers before continuing their convo. 3rd incident: today I went to cvs to buy some makeup and did two separate transactions so I could use my $6 cash back bonus rewards. Only they set up a new way to electronically send receipts and couldn't give me my cash back rewards. Fine. But when I asked what I have to do and why the lady helping me said "I DONT KNOW I HAVENT USED IT YET IT SHOULD SAY SOMEWHERE IN THE EMAIL" umm..... what?! I don't care if you haven't used it this is your job and a new update you are working with; as an employee shouldn't you have learned about it and how to use it? You're a cashier thats your job.... you should have been taught how to do this by management so you could do your job and enforce it or educate customers who have questions. Love that it's 24 hours...great for my wine fix when I get off work late! Most of the employees are really nice and make small talk. There's this one guy who apparently every time he's there just walks up to the counter and doesn't wait in line...one of the younger employees was joking about it to me..hilarious! But sometimes the line moves slowly, but I'm pretty sure that's due to the customers being needy. One thing that bugged me tonight was one of the employees at the counter. I found this nail polish stuff I wanted and couldn't find a price..so I decided to just take it to the cashier with me to ask. The lady got all irritated and said "I guess I can just void it after I ring it up"....sorry there was no price..not my fault! I decided I didn't want it..paid for my other stuff, and she just threw my change on the counter turned around and started talking to the other employee...she didn't say how much my change was, no thank you, no have a good night....it's not that difficult to be polite. I work in customer service and even if someone is really annoying me I still manage to say "thanks have a good night" I just thought it was really impolite and she could have been a little more pleasant. But overall this is a great place to get anything i might need, from make up to alcohol! read more

I was not happy with how another customer was treated today at your store. Customer was simply going to ask your employee a question. When your employee responded saying, I don't speak Spanish. She was going to walk away but I don't know if it was because I turned to look. If she didn't speak Spanish, that's okay. Find an employee that's not busy who speaks Spanish. This pharmacy was a lot better when Michael was there. Michael was the reason I went there. He was real, kind, humorous, and helpful; all the things you need when getting your medicines, especially in times of sickness, pain, and stress. Michael also had good comprehension and professionalism. People smiled when they saw him and regularly greeted him on their way in and out. This pharmacy is at a GREAT LOSS without him. I do not understand the negative reviews about this CVS pharmacy... yes they could have more people staffing the counter... however, those that do staff it are incredibly kind and patient. I was stuck with the CVS pharmacy in Diamond Bar for 10 years and they are incredibly rude and impatient...it was kinda torturous going there with their sour disposition. When we moved to this area my family was blown away by the warmth of the pharmacy staff even in the busiest of times. I came here on a Saturday afternoon to fill 4 prescriptions. The staff was friendly - no grumpiness. I was told that my order would be ready in about an hour and I got a text message to pick up my order exactly an hour later. The line for pick-up fluctuated. But even when there were only two staff members I don't think I waited more than 10 minutes. Based on my first experience I'll be back to fill my prescriptions! read more

Okay this is a first for me in trying to return something I bought in Laguna Woods to CVS Stores near my home. I went to this rather large one and one in orange. Even though they fall under the CVS umbrella like the majority of chain retail stores both could not refund my item even though I had a receipt because they don't carry the product!!!! Absolutely poor customer service with no regard to convenience for the customer. I contacted 1800 shop cvs and couldn't understand the girl. Something about getting a refund directly from the manufacturer not at all convenient! As it would require a trip to post office!. I stopped by this CVS pharmacy to see if the pharmacy had a certain vitamin called Nepro- Vite but they did not have it in stock . So the pharmacist went out of her way order the vitamin and have it in by 3:00pm the next day this will work out perfectly because then I can pick it up on my way home from work thank you for going out of your way and making that phone call. It is amazing how this pharmacy stays in business. I receive texts that my RX called in by the doctor are ready, but when I get there to pick them up, after waiting in a 20 minute line, I am told there is no RX. I show them my phone and they have no explanation for the text I received saying my RX was ready. They send me to the fill line where I wait another 15 mins only to be told that I will now have to wait another 15 mins for my RX to be filled! Really??? Why text me and tell me it is ready when it isn't. An hour to get an RX? That is ridiculous! They better figure this out! read more

Huge CVS. You can't really find spacious stores like this outside of Los Angeles. They have a nice selection of beauty and skincare which is mainly why I come here. Sometimes I go to other CVS's in my area and they'll run out or change stock of certain items. I occasionally buy Nivea body wash in the winter for my very dry skin if I can't make it to l'Occitane. They always have good deals as well, like Buy One Get One 50%, extra bucks, etc. However, I don't like the manager (?), the older woman with light brown hair and glasses. I stopped shopping in here as often because of her as she would make snide remarks to my mother and I about the way we were dressed or our perfume. Things like, why are you guys dressed up, or, ew people don't wear that kind of perfume around here. I use to be very happy with CVS pharmacy at this location but now it's HORRIBLE customer service. They're rude because they can't keep up with the customer load, and as far as phone calls they keep you on hold for AN HOUR. Then when they finally pick up they try to rush you off the phone. There again they can't keep up and it shows in their rude, short, cut off mannerisms. Recently they tried to say a medication wasnt covered that I would have to pay $40 instead of the $1.30 Ive been paying all along. They charged my secondary insurance not my primary. I called my insurance company, they called the pharmacy and resolved the issue and explained to me what the pharmacy did. What are they trying to do? Why would they do this after Ive had the same primary insurance and been with them for years. Do they think people automatically believe them? Not me for sure.
