This is a review of this store's pharmacy, and a review of CVS (corporate) ... 5-stars for the pharmacy ... My mother changed her prescription drug plan. I took her new membership card to the pharmacy, and the pharmacist updated her file. My time in the store to complete this task was less than 10 minutes. 1-star for the CVS telephone system ... Before going to the store, I made five separate attempts to call the pharmacy. The "CVS automated phone assistant" repeatedly put me through a tedious telephone tree and then refused to connect my call. "Why is the digital assistant gatekeeping?" The new prescription drug plan provider is encouraging my mom to allow them to fulfil her RX via mail. CVS had better not alienate or frustrate its customers, or it might share the same fate as Rite-Aid. read more

My prescription was sent to a different CVS, and the young lady pharmacist working here informed me. She had me wait so she could call the other location to get it for this location. She did not have to do that whatsoever and I'm so grateful that she did. She was able to transfer it and was ready in no time. This is my neighborhood CVS! I come here for the pharmacy and for all my necessary self care needs. The pharmacy is pretty efficient and the staff has always been pleasant when I am there. I still loathe this location and consider it a necessary evil. BUT, today I was assisted by Jon/John (spelling?) while getting my RX filled. He was helpful, courteous, and frankly, a joy to interact with. This general CVS experience was not without issues, I went to get my favorite soft drink, which was out of stock, no surprise as the beverage cooler is generally a mess. I came in approx. 24 hrs ago to p/u my two prescriptions, not ready told to wait, did so was paged they were ready but line was so long I couldn't wait. Came back today, closed until 2 for lunch, waited fourth in line until 2:10 when they opened and was told only one of two was available. Told to speak to lady in consultation, she said aprox 45 mins wait as many were ahead of me as they just reopened from lunch break. I have already waited 24 hours , how many prescriptions could be ahead of me. Assuming I do come back it will be the third time for one prescription. Definitely not good customer service. Placed a photo order a yesterday for same day pickup. Called a day later to see if it was ready and apparently the photo machine hasn't been working for a while... why are you still taking photo orders? Was told by the person on the phone to print my photos at the Gaffey location instead. Gaffey location is not an available store to order photos from online. read more

Everyone here is so nice to my kiddos and I. Always knowledgeable, quick to refill my medications and nice to be able to do walk in vaccinations. Managers are always nice to me and this CVS has got everything I need compared to SP Target. Thank you everyone here at CVS. read more

This poor review is entirely for the pharmacy staff; the regular CVS store staff are amazing. Pharmacy staff -- please for the love of God, learn how to do your job. Millions of people go to work each day and work their bums off to pay for their medicine. You guys on the other hand, practically float around behind the counter like your catching butterflies, utter one-worded non-substantial responses, and blatantly refuse to provide customer service. RUDE AF. I came in during my one night a week that I have enough time off work and school to stop and pick-up my prescriptions. I'm an avid user of the CVS mobile app because it's much more reliable than these sad excuse for "pharmacists." I had 3 refills of my medication and even confirmed it with my doctor's office that very same day. So, I used my mobile app to refill the prescription. My prescription was processed and I even received a confirmation email, which I have attached to this review. Tell me why when I went into this CVS Pharmacy to pick up my prescription, they told me it was "inactive" and the prescription could no longer be filled, so they needed to fax my doctor's office! I'll tell you why... because this staff is brainless and aren't doing their job. I showed the woman my mobile app, which still showed the prescription on my account... in process... not inactive! Clearly, there is a mistake. But instead of trying to fix their mistake, this pharmacy staff stared at me with a blank face as if I just spoke an extra terrestrial language. I really try my best to be polite and relaxed to these people, but geeeeezus christ! In the end, the pharmacist told me there was nothing they can do (Err that's a LIE) and said i'd have to wait until my doctor receives their fax.... after the weekend... when i'm already dead because I ran out of my medicine. I'm so incredibly annoyed because this happens way too often with these people. I pray that they read this review and take it somewhat seriously, unlike how seriously they take their jobs ha. If you need to refill a prescription, better call your doctor first than CVS PHARMACY. I made a refill order by phone and they said is going to be ready next day. I went there after five days and the lady on the "drop off" section told me:"Your doctor didn't approve the prescription yet, I'm going to resend it again". I called my doctor right away, and I realized that the lady from CVS was LYING , my doctor never had any communication from CVS PHARMACY. Twice over the last few months we've had the same experience at this location. Apparently the employees/cashiers are not trained that it is against the law to demand a phone number or any other personal information in order to honor the price posted on the shelf. They may be commanded to obtain this information to imput for marketing or privacy invading purposes, but it is maddening. Several weeks ago Lolly wanted one nail polish on a display that had a two for discount. She waited in line ten minutes and then the cashier refused to give her the half price without her having a CVS card. Well, we have this card for so long now, we have no idea what phone number we had and gave at the time. We no longer give out our phone number for discount cards. She left. The other day Lolly ran in, famished, there was only one cashier and one person in line, and she grabbed a discounted $1 pack of cookies. In front of her was an old man who was being asked not just for his CVS card, but his phone number and HIS E-MAIL ADDRESS. The cashier could not have moved slower. And you guessed it. She refused to let her pay for the $1 pack of cookies without all this imputing. SHAME ON CVS. The chain itself as well as this location make so much profit and the prices on cosmetics make you want to run to 99cents only or Dollar Tree, but one cashier and all this for a purchase. I got called and got scalded by the pharmacist over 20 miserable pills for Tramadol. I just got knee replacement surgery. These people are Nazis.Don't waste your money and time with these morons. Worst pharmacy on the planet. I cracked a tooth and needed my medicine fast. I went to the pharmacy and they said it would be ready soon. Then I got a text saying they needed to special order the medication. I went back to the counter and asked them if the text was correct and they said no, that they had it and it'd be ready soon. After an hour I went to the counter again and asked about my prescription and again I was told it would be ready soon. An hour and a half later the prescription was finally ready. I believe the pharmacist put it on "back order" so she didn't have to follow the wait time standards of CVS. Pharmacist were rude on top of it all. Seemed so inconvenienced when I asked them any questions. Go anywhere else! Update: my dentist called in a prescription on Friday after my surgery and CVS won't fill it until Sunday and they won't tell me why and won't transfer the prescription to another pharmacy. They filled it and said it is on hold. I went to pick it up on Sunday and they only gave me 16 / 20 pills and they had forged the prescription to say *nf110622* meaning no fill until 11/6/22. Located off Western Ave in Ranch Palos Verdes. I needed to use my $3 coupon since it expired today. Was planning to go to one near home but since I was in the area and it's just up the street from my gym I went here. It's in a shopping plaza with other businesses so parking shouldn't be a problem. This location is not a 24hour location so it does close at 10pm. Not much more I can say about this location it's like all the others. read more

I've lived here for 8 months and I've never had a prescription be less than hours late. I've had issues 8 out of 8 months. They're understaffed and the staff that are there are usually burnt out and as a result unhappy. Cvs should hire more staff considering that this is the busiest pharmacy in town. read more

The absolute worst customer service. They don't help you especially if you complain about anything even in a nice way. They are telling me they are ordering my medication every day and it's not coming in so it must be back ordered but why didn't the manufacturer tell you that? And why after years of going there and getting the same medication is it now a problem because I told them why do they put a medication on hold if it's too early but don't fill it when it's time. No I gotta call the day of to fill it. So the elderly would be without their meds if they forgot to call. Because nobody told me either, I found out the hard way. read more

I was sent here by another CVS to have a pain medication filled because they couldn't and I'm in severe pain from an accident. I came in before closing, and while I was talking with the pharmacist, a manager came by and pulled the tills. One minute later, I was told I couldn't get my medication because the tills were pulled. It's one thing to do it after you close, but we still had plenty of time before closing and your manager is going to walk over, pull the till RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, and then say "oh sorry, already pulled the till, nothing I can do?" That's lazy, inconsiderate leadership and now I get to go home and stay awake another night all because you wanted to clock out a few minutes early. This pharmacy has the absolute worst Robo answering machine. Unless you have a RX refill you can go round and round with Robo. Wanted to have prescription delivered and add Covid home test to the delivery. "Sorry cannot deliver home Covid test kits" How is that not a horrible customer service.
