I used to be a Walgreens girl all the way for all my prescriptions and things like that. I recently moved to Sandy and the closest pharmacy is CVS pharmacy! Only thing confusing about this whole deal is that there are two locations of CVS pharmacy's on 700 east. They are both on different parts of Sandy city, so depending you may get turned around or confused and could have your doctor accidentally pick the location that isn't closest to your house like I did. This young man working a couple weeks ago at closing was Nothing short of amazing I'm visiting from California and I'll tell you if all CVS is like this young boy I would go every single time. I used to be a regular customer at the Alta View Hospital pharmacy. The people there were great in every way. Every one of them. The pharmacists and staff knew me by name and went out of their way for me. They CARED. When the hospital decided to shut down their pharmacy allegedly because it was not turning a profit, they reassigned all my prescriptions to the CVS on the corner of 700 east and 9000 south. Welcome to HELL. The CVS has been an absolute nightmare to deal with in every way imaginable. Snotty pharmacists and incredibly stupid support staff. Nobody seems to know what they are doing, and nobody every apologizes for mistakes or goes out of their way to be helpful. They all act like they simply don't care. read more

This CVS is great. The staff are always nice and helpful, the store is clean. The pharmacy ain't great with sour staff but really it's no worse than most pharmacies. Store is very nice otherwise we like going shopping there. The manager is very nice too. read more

The Customer Service was great and friendly. They greeted us when we entered the store and they were really helpful. The store is very neat and organized. Plenty of parking to park. Very nice to have a CVS around. read more

My wife had to call the CVS pharmacy in Sandy 90th South. She was on the phone waiting for more than one hour. She decided to go in person and when she got there she told one of the pharmacists politely that she had to wait for more than one hour on the phone. The response she got was: "We are only 2 here" No apologies were offered. Very bad customer service. read more

I went to get my refill on my Rx and although I had a refill remaining, they would not fill it until they heard from my provider. The pharmacist was conceited and was no help at all. I went back when I was alerted and the gate came down and announced that they were closed for lunch. Not to mention that they filled a prescription in the past with the wrong medicine. No apology or anything. I would suggest going anywhere else if possible. read more

This is a newer location, so that is something to recommend it. Still, I don't get super excited about pharmacies. They are touted as a great way to get in and out if you just need one or two things, but honestly, is it really THAT much faster than going to the grocery store? I have a hard time paying (oftentimes a lot) more for something I could get elsewhere simply in the name convenience. But that's just me. If you are into that they have a good selection of candy, some groceries, cosmetics, and of course the actual pharmacy section is pretty huge. I feel like this store is a little bigger than other CVS's that I've been to. Employees were friendly and helpful, and when the line up front got a little long someone else came right up to help, so I really appreciate that. read more

LONGEST PHARMACY LINES EVER. The workers all look like they're sleeping, no smiles, nothing. Complete zombies. Everyone looks asleep. And the LINES ARE SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO long and slow.... I'm not sure why they send you RX notifications and say prescriptions are ready if you'll have to come wait 45 mins for one things.... HUGE INCONVENIENCE And esp with a baby in the car. read more

My pharmacy insurance switched to CVS, and I've begun using this location a few months ago. The pharmacy staff has always been pleasant to work with, and dropping off and picking up my prescriptions has been a breeze. Like all Walgreens and Rite Aid's, CVS carries a wide range of convenience items at a often a higher price than grocery stores or Walmart. That's why it's a "convenience" store. The staff has been friendly, but not overly helpful. I'm giving this location a 4 of 5 stars because of the location. It's difficult getting in and out of the parking lot during the busier times of the day/night. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - SANDY, Utah

I think CVS is a wonderful pharmacy/store. I have been happy w/ their service from the store/ pharmacy. The prob I have is with the Store/pharmacy's audio recording. I wish corporate would call it! They need to experience their lack of customer service! All locations are the same. The recording takes you around and around in circles, it is very sound sensitive. Also, it's mainly for refills or COVID. If you want to check the hrs of the store, since hrs on Google are wrong, or have a question for the Pharm, good luck! Many companies have implemented these recordings since Covid, they now need to change it back to an easy recording, and go back to actual customer service. I usually call twice a month. I may have a question on a presc for a family member, or interaction of med, by the time I actually speak to a person, I'm very angry! Almost to the point of switching pharmacies...... The recording takes 7-10 min. It usually disconnects you at least twice! Corporate Cvs doesn't seem to understand or care! I've called 3 times, asked them to simplify the recording! I've said many of us have diff questions other than the 2 questions/ options this horrible recording asks? You have to talk to your customers sometimes... Even the employees of the stores despise their stores recording. They have a difficult time too! Their comment, was to "call corporate and complain otherwise nothing will be done." Still nothing has been done...Nothing will be done unless we complain! They forget there are older people, people with disabilities, anybody...The corporate managers need to call it them selves to experience what they are putting us through...They want our service they want our money, but nobody understands what customer service is anymore! The reason I am giving CVS 2 stars is because I went Halloween shopping in September and basically all the Halloween stuff was removed.and they were replacing it with Christmas this is completely ridiculous. nobody buys Christmas this early.seriously CVS all of the stuff was also crazily overpriced. I paid $20 for a plain instant coffin (wich by the way is impossible to put away and had instructions that were from Kmart not cvs!)this is ridiculous. I was going to buy this pumpkin that had a face carved into it until I realized that it was $30. seriously insane. If you want to buy Halloween stuff than just go to spirit or Home Depot they have way better stuff. Judging from the reviews it didn't seem like the pharmacy was great either. If it was possible to give ZERO stars I would. This location is an absolute joke! I have a dog who needs medication for epilepsy and every SINGLE time I try and have his medication filled here it takes them at least a week to get it right. Today- it's been over a week, my vet has called and spoken with them- I have filled this same medication for this same dog for more than two years at this CVS & suddenly today they have no record of me or my dog. They are rude to my vets office which is more upsetting than the fact that they are rude to me. I will never attempt to fill a prescription here again. read more

I went in to buy some behind the counter allergy medication. The Phramacy tech said he didn't see it and the pharmacist mumbled that she didn't think it was being made anymore. I said well I bought some last summer and the pharmacist made a big deal of asking me if I bought it at a cvs. I told her that I had gotten it at Wallgreens. (Why should that matter?) Anyway the pharmacy tech walked away from me and the pharmacist then proceeded to ignore me so after a couple of minutes of standing there like an idiot I walked out. The only reason I came here was I had accidentally driven past my Wallgreens and thought I'd give CVS a try. I will not be back!!!! read more

I am a Type 1 diabetic and on Dec. 20th I called to place an order for my fast acting insulin. I was told by this pharmacy that I had to wait till January 1st in order for my insurance to cover it. So I rationed out my last insulin pen for two weeks, all while having my ratios for my injections be increased. Last night, 12/31 I stopped by the pharmacy about 20 minutes before closing to pick up something for a family member and to place my insulin order. I was then told by the pharmacist that I had to wait until 1/10/19. At this point I wasn't going to make it through the next day with the amount of insulin I had left. She basically told me she would try and figure something out but nothing was guaranteed. She would try and get it by the 2nd for me (again, wasn't even going to make it thought the 1st). I then let my parents know what was going on and they called the insurance company and within THREE MINUTES, they were able to get an override and find another CVS open till midnight so that I would have some insulin. Even the insurance company asked my parents why the pharmacy didn't call them. I get that it was New Year's Eve and that she wanted to go home but to make a 3 minute phone call to get someone with a life threatening illness, their life saving insulin... really truly shouldn't be that big of a deal. THAT IS YOUR JOB. You know very well what diabetics need and the fact that you were going to let me go till the 10th with no insulin all because you wouldn't call the insurance is UNBELIEVABLE. My husband and I drove 20 minutes out of our way on New Year's Eve, with slick roads, drunk drivers and out to a not so nice part of Utah all because you were too bothered to do your job. We will not be coming back!! read more

WORST PHARMACY EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Pharmacist was so disrespectful when there were problems with my prescription and denied me an important prescription. This pharmacy never has my medications in stock, and always fail to tell me when they don't which makes me miss doses. read more

This is a great location that is well placed. The staff is at times a bit socially awkward, but are overall very kind. They don't seem to have a ton of employees, so it's sometimes hard to get help in the aisles, but there is always someone up front if I get stumped read more

This CVS location is the best one I have ever been to. The staff and managers are really friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure I have a satisfying experience. Although the prices are higher than other stores in general, if you know how to use their coupons and extracare deals, you can really get amazing prices that are lower than Walmart. The pharmacy staff are attentive and helpful. No one has ever given me the stink eye for using coupons either which I can't say about other CVS locations (ahem Draper). I am a loyal customer to this CVS location because of how awesome they are and how well they value me as a customer. read more
