Every single time I come here, the checkout lines are extremely long and there are only one or two cashiers trying to handle a store full of customers. The worst part is watching these employees run around doing EVERYTHING. They're cashiering, bagging groceries, helping customers, and basically doing the work of multiple people while management apparently thinks this is acceptable. You can clearly see how stressed and overwhelmed the employees are, yet they continue working hard trying to get everyone through the lines. Meanwhile, customers are standing around irritated and complaining because they have to wait forever just to pay for their groceries. I've personally gotten so frustrated with the wait that I've left my cart in the aisle and walked out. No grocery shopping trip should be this frustrating on a regular basis. I've heard there is new management at this location, and if that's true, something clearly isn't working. From a customer's perspective, the store seems to be getting WORSE, not better. Cutting staff or failing to schedule enough people and then expecting the few employees who are there to pick up all the slack is terrible management. And to be clear, I DO NOT blame the cashiers or other employees. They are actually the reason I feel compelled to write this review. They deserve better. If they're expected to perform the duties of multiple positions, I sincerely hope they're being paid accordingly. Management needs to stop putting the burden on a handful of hardworking employees and actually do their job by properly staffing and running this store. A man was walking in ahead of me, and the security guard let him inside. But as soon as I approached the entrance, the guard closed the door on me and told me they were closed. I pointed out that it was only 11:55 and that the sign clearly says they close at midnight. I even explained that I only needed milk and would be in and out. His response? "Too bad. We close five minutes before every day." Seriously? Then why does your sign say you're open until 12:00 AM? What made this even worse was that as I was walking away, another man came up to the door AND THE SAME SECURITY GUARD LET HIM IN. So apparently the store wasn't actually closed. He just decided who he was going to let inside. What kind of customer service is this? If you close at 11:55, POST 11:55 AS YOUR CLOSING TIME. And if you're going to refuse entry because you're "closed," then that rule should apply to everyone, not selectively depending on who walks up to the door. I shop at this location several times a month. Generally, I like their selection of "better for…read moreyou" groceries, snacks and beverages. It's typically more expensive versus other grocery stores I frequent, but I am prepared to pay a premium for quality products and service. Often, I stop by to grab a $4.99 "make your own" sandwich which is a very good deal. Today, I had a mixed experience. I bought a turkey sandwich, a small size ready-to-eat chicken noodle soup and 3 cans of Olipop soda. The sodas had a sign reading "3 for $5". I paid approximately $17. As I left the store, I immediately looked at my receipt and noted they charged me full price for the sodas. I went back in and they discovered that the promotional price had expired but that the staff hadn't removed the signs yet. They refunded me the difference so I'm glad I caught the error. They then removed the promo price signs so other customers wouldn't think there was a sale like I did. I then drove to the work office to eat my lunch. I opened the sandwich and noticed it was slathered with mayo which I didn't request nor do I like. They have this form at the deli counter which you have to fill out with check boxes for bread, meat, veggies and condiments. I checked off "mustard" and hand wrote in "on both sides". I decided to drive back to the store (which was an inconvenience) and told the deli counter about the mayo. I acknowledged that "mistakes happen" and that I was a regular customer, and I'd appreciate if they would make me "whole". The deli person made me a fresh sandwich and instructed me to go to a cashier to request a refund. I did that and I was appreciative of the fact that they didn't argue, apologized for the mistake and did something corrective (i.e. I got the refund with no argument). I'm giving this a 4 out of 5 rating because while I was inconvenienced, I feel they handled my complaint in a fair and proper manner and for that I feel satisfied. I will continue to remain a customer of Sprouts. I always believed that while mistakes can and do happen in every business, what's really important is how a company handles those mistakes. If they take accountability and work with their customers to address issues, I'm inclined to continue to do business with them since they show they value the patronage.

The Good - Overall lower prices than supers on most items…read more- Great selection of wines and beer at discounted prices - Good selection of organic/healthy items - Breads, milk, and house brand items are really good deals The bad - Many items have short best buy and expiration dates - Small in size and variety compared to their larger stores i.e. Irvine and Costa Mesa I've always thought this was the Marshall's of the grocery business. Many of the items that he supers don't want end up here. Nothing wrong with that but it means that there is not the consistency of items You can't count on some of the items you're buying today will be there tomorrow. On the good part is that it's often at a great prices. For example, I just bought a bottle of antibacterial Dawn Dish liquid for $3.99 bit is $6.99 at the supers. They had an extra large bag (1.5#) of Lindt Dark Chocolate truffles for $9.99, retail is $17.99 but I first noticed it in on the shelves 30 days before the best buy date. So I ended up at Costco and bought the same product for $12.99 with a BB date over a year later. (But it's a major hassle to shop at Costco unless you're buying other items!). Their Simply products are new and great, I've had their pasta and sauces and eggs. Their bread selection is fairly fresh, and the Sourdough Bread fro San Luis is $5.00, over a dollar more at the supers. I like their Orowheat Keto bread, and artisan breads for much cheaper than supers. Milk products which include lactose free milk are all fresh but some of the yogurt, cream cheese, cottage cheese may have short (less than 1 week) expiration dates. Fruits and vegetables are hit and miss. While plantain bananas are a cheap 99 cents a pound, many of their produce items are not so fresh. But some deals are great, like $2.00 for a cantaloupe or mini watermelon when in season. They have the usual veggies including bagged salads which are fresh and a little cheaper than supers. Meats are also hit and miss but many items are cheaper than supers. However, most of their steaks are not graded (i.s. Choice cuts) and marbling on the steaks are rarely good except for the tougher cuts like tri tip steaks. (brine these in salt overnight and they're good the next day). Lots of chicken, including whole chicken and pork. One thing you'll notice is that it's a rarity that their cashiers - who are mostly young - have the happy chatty cashiers like at Trader Joe's. That's a minor detail They had a management change earlier this year and overall the stocks are much better filled and the store is cleaner.
