CVS really deserves 0 stars. My husband's doctor submitted an Rx for him yesterday. We got a text saying it can't be filled until 8/11/23. When I went to the store to inquire why I was told it was already billed and can't be (re)filled unless I wanted to pay the non-insurance price. I asked how this could be resolved and was told to ask the doctor to cancel the order and resubmit. The doctor's office confirmed they sent it to the Agoura Rd. store. I asked them to please cancel it but they told me CVS wouldn't do it. I asked them to please resubmit it to Burt's Pharmacy, which they did and I ended up paying the non insurance price. The amount paid wasn't a big deal but now CVS will get paid for a prescription which wasn't filled and therefore not picked up. I am done with CVS (not that they care) and will give my business to Burt's. read more

It's no wonder this store gets such poor ratings. I had a short shopping list for CVS today and a 32% coupon I wished to use. I'd been to three other stores in the area and they looked like they were going out of business, the stock was so low. I bought two out of the five items at another CVS because I needed them and wasn't sure if any CVS would be fully stocked. I explained the situation to Abigail at this store who did nothing to assuage my frustration with my now 4th stop at a CVS, asking since it's the same day couldn't I use the coupon again given the circumstances? Nope, she said, you could have returned all those items and used the coupon at this store. I had driven to 3 other CVS's within the hour. Yeah, had I been a manager I would have honored the coupon on merchandise unavailable at two other CVS's. I'm glad CVS employees have so much time on their hands they consider this a viable alternative. Rite Aid has invited me to join their coupon club, it's time for sure, I like their stores and they are fully stocked. read more

I've never wrote a review ever about service because I'm also in the customer service industry. I went to ask a lady who worked at this establishment where a certain product was and she just pointed in a rude way and stated "probably in that aisle" and didn't assist me at all. I then had another customer next to me helping me find it. The same employee turned the corner and pointed at the medication I needed in a rude manner and stated "it's right there" and rushed off which left the other customer feel very uncomfortable and stated out the way she treated me was not okay. I walked up to the manager and stated she was rude. All she said was "sorry" in a dry manner and didn't take the time to engage the situation entirely to see what can be resolved. Reading the rest of the reviews here shows that no change is in action and seems that they hate the environment themselves there. There are plenty of people who live around the area who choose to purchase things there and get treated unfairly. Definitely need new team management and help to fix the establishment because there are plenty of people on this review who are upset and unsatisfied. ( Awful service ) If you are unhappy with your job then don't work there. That simple! read more

I don't think minute clinic is the right name since you do have sometimes a long wait. Today I waited almost an hour which is still probably quicker then going to my regular healthcare facility. But it makes it all worthwhile when you get an opportunity to work with a person like Sandra Desgrey, Nurse practitioner. I am one of those people was a healthcare professional for many years but hate to go in myself. She not only was professional and personable but I never felt rushed and she was extremely informative about my health care issue and really seemed to care. She was very sympathetic. Expect the wait but if you know she's there know your in good hands. Added note... after I got home I realize the cost for what I needed was less than my deductible for an office visit. Dr Paul Kang is the rudest most abrasive pharmacists I have ever dealt with. There was an issue with the pharmacy finding a prescription that had been sent it. I called my doctors officer and they confirmed it was sent in but resent it due to Dr. Kang said he did not see it. When I went to the drop off window for a second time, again Dr. Kang again incredibly rude told me it was not there. I asked him what he suggest I do at this point and he just continued to look at his computer screen, until MAGICALLY the prescription was there since my doctor did send it in TWICE. There was also a second issue where one of my other medications was sent to the CVS in Oak Park. When he told me that he said, "You're in the wrong place. Go to Oak Park." And just walked away from the window. Incredibly mean man for someone who is supposed to be helping people who are just trying to get their medications. I was prescribed painkillers for wisdom tooth extraction and when I went to drop it off i was interrogated as to why I needed them by someone named Z. After "Z" was done with that he then realized the date was missing. He notified me i needed to get another prescription. This was frustrating but understandable so i left. I then drove 30 miles and back, got the fixed one, and proceeded to be verbally attacked by Mr. "Z". He seemed frustrated that i was getting my medication which i simply don't understand. He then said "i'm sorry your doctor doesnt know rules" and aggressively and quickly (to the point where i didnt even pick half of what he said up) told me whatever instructions pertained to the medication. I am completely shocked by the manner this CVS' employees talk to customers. And judging by their low rating i can tell I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Edit: forgot to mention that he kept screaming out loud what my medication was. I dont know about other people but I don't like my business to be put out there about which medications im taking especially when they are ones that a crackhead would rob me for if they knew about it. read more

I am loyal CVS shopper and pharmacy user. I will preface this by saying there is one employee there who seems to understand customer service and is a professional. I believe her name is Valerie otherwise this place is a waste of time. This pharmacy is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever experienced. I witnessed my husband dropping off a rx while the pharmacist that was inputting the info was still talking to another patient about her personal medical history. The patient was visibly uncomfortable. Last week they asked me if I needed my rx that night. I did and it was 6 hours before closing. After telling them that I did indeed need it I was told "I have 300 to fill ahead of you and don't think I will finish those". Like why even ask?? They are dismissive, rude, and lack professionalism. I will be finding another pharmacy as I am now waiting over 1.5 hours for a pain prescription for my husband who is suffering. read more

Most associates at this location are nice and helpful, but the person who acts like a jerk and gets under my skin is the manager (Manny). I've been there a few times and whenever I've dealt with him, he is rude and unprofessional. Not at all what I would expect from a store manager. The storefront itself is typical for CVS, however PSA, the pharamacy here is truly the worst I have ever visited. Another reciewer mentioned simply getting a prescription filled takes an act of god... I could not agree more. No one negative experience stands out, rather, every time I have visited monthly for the past 3 years has left me with a sense of frustration and bewilderment over the lack of professionalism held by the staff. The staff are frequently rude, and at best, robotic. I get prescription medication on an ongoing basis and this is the first time I have ever seen a pharmacy think it is ok for the staff to yell my medication's name across the room so everybody can hear. Worse, I have seen them do this to others and my girlfriend had the same experience. Each time I visit, the staff act as if they are in crisis-mode, bickering among themselves and showing obvious signs of stress. It could very well be that the pharmacy is under-staffed, however, their frustration and lack of good management at this location should not spill over to the customer experience. If you want to grab some candy or hygiene products, this is a totally fine CVS. But please heed the warning of the other reviewers and avoid this pharmacy like the plague (nearby CVS at Target on Russell Ranch Rd. is a great alternative) read more

This CVS is the closest pharmacy to my house, and it is next to a grocery store I often visit, so it is really convenient for me. I have been there before and they have selection issues (failed to find cottonballs! lightbulbs/tape, etc). I been overcharged for medicine according to my doctor ($25 copay for a generic that costs $3 without INS at other pharmacy), but i rarely need prescriptions, so this is not ruinous.... I hate driving, and as i mentioned, it is by far the closest to my house so I intended to still go there when I really needed something, and those were not enough reason for me to swear the place off or bother with a review... The other day, I went there with a paper prescription. Set scene: I was the only person in the pharmacy section. I walk up to the counter, and am told I needed to go to the "dropoff counter". I look to the left, see the sign and go wait underneath it. The person manning that aisle is on the phone, so i wait over 15 minutes. I know how long it is, because after a few minutes of waiting, I set an alarm for 15 minutes. I tell myself "if this alarm goes off, I am going to another pharmacy." Meanwhile the person who sent me there is doing literally nothing except watching me with a vacant look on her face, and I see 2 other people back there are doing various pharmacy work. I know that once I drop of this prescription, it will take time to prepare, but do I really need to stand there in the empty line? None of these people will take the slip of paper from me, so I don't have to stand there? When I see a way to save someone time, I just do it -- and those are just fellow humans, not actual customers of mine. Their policy is apparently "wait long enough, and you won't have to do whatever-it-is-the-customer-wants". ... So, that day, I drove another 5-10 miles to a riteaid, and got what i needed. I am never going back to that CVS (probably will avoid CVS in general). It literally is quicker to drive another 5-10 miles and back than to wait at the (empty, 0 other customers) pharmacy by my house. And this is probably why it is empty! Residents of the area know not to go there. Q: "What is the opposite of customer service?" A: The CVS by my house. They provide opposite of service, harming rather than helping. We don't need medication often but when we do this pharmacy fails consistently. I drop medication prescription off and I am told it will be ready in 30 minutes when I return one hour later medication still not ready. This was pain medication for post op pain and my Daughter so very uncomfortable. This happens almost every time. read more

This is the worst pharmacy i have ever been to, horrible customer service, they never have your prescriptions ready even it was sent in a month ago its actually ridiculous, they send you in circles to talk to all the different drop off and pick up windows just for your medication to be right there in your file. This happens every time i go in i usually have to go about 3 times till my prescriptions are ready they have no regard for your time at all you will be waiting for literally up to an hour it's awful do not send your prescriptions here. read more

My doctor emailed one prescription on Monday morning to CVS on Agoura Road. I went to pick it up at 5pm thinking that was plenty of time for them to fill it. Wrong. After waiting in line I was told that the prescription was not yet filled and have a seat, they would call my name when it was ready. They never called my name so after 45 minutes I went up to the counter again and asked the woman to check on the prescription. She looked on her computer and then said oh we are out of stock so sorry. What a joke that store is, it's not the first time I've had problems like this. Unfortunately my drug plan strongly urges us to use CVS for a better price. Maybe I'll check the CVS in Agoura in the future, customer service cannot be any worse. The store itself / staff is nice. The pharmacy sucks. I went in with visible pain and waited patiently to drop off my RX. The girl helping me was new so she needed help from the main young lady (one with dark purple hair). Purple ignored her for like 10 minutes while helping other people that came in behind me (which is fine I'm patient). However, when she finally looks at my RX she hands it back and tells me she can't take it and I need it re written. The dentist had written the mg incorrectly on a controlled RX (for 5 pills). Looks at me like I'm an idiot, it's not like I wrote it or know this! I say I'm in pain ask if she can call the Dr. She just says NO and moves on. If you can't fill it that's fine, but be considerate and kind. She was rude to the elderly lady before me as well. Won't be coming back. read more

I came to get Ibuprofen. It supposed to be easy to get it right? Big mistake! The cashier who by the way seemed to be in her late 60s asked me for my phone number, so I gave it to her and paid! I asked for my receipt and she said "we don't give receipts anymore". I said that I needed mine she responded with "you'll get it in your email, Next!" She dismissed me right away... I said wait I don't have an email address on file, could I just have a printed receipt! The manager stepped in and asked me for my phone number again, both the manager and the cashier were accusing me of giving her the wrong phone number. I've had the phone number for 17 years, why would I get it wrong? Instead of them apologizing for making a mistake (entering my number incorrectly). They said it was my mistake, and dismissed me. I told the manager that the cashier typed my number incorrectly. What a waste of time, It took over 10 minutes. Big mistake coming in here, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and PREJUDICE PEOPLE. What because I don't look my best I'm being treated with disrespect? This is why I go to Rite Aide!!!! read more

Decent store...But nothing special. I really dislike paying $6 for a card that I can get $3 cheaper at a Target or Walmart. I know I'm paying for convenience but I still don't like it. The store had construction going on right now and I had really high heels on so it was a pain walking through some of it. Also the customer service wasn't great. We were rushing and there was only one line opened and there was a problem and they needed to call someone to that register so we headed to the self checkout. Of course there was a problem and we needed help. However the guy was helping the other girl next to us that was also having a problem. Shocker. When he got over to us we said we didn't know why it wasn't letting us pay and he said rudely because you lifted the bag up too soon. He seemed annoyed. Customer service could be better. read more

I waited 4 hours to get prescriptions filled. They had to check if one med was available. That was at 11:00 AM. At 3:00PM they had still not looked into it. They said they there was no record of a third prescription only to tell me it was filled 10 minutes later. Long lines, slow service, incompetent help. Going forward I will use use a different pharmacy. I am done with CVS. read more

This is the worst pharmacy. Not an exaggeration. Every time I've gone here there's been an issue with my prescription for routine requests. Somehow they inexplicably gave me a sample size of my insulin prescription and then wasted a ton of time telling me that wasnt possible. Only after walking in and physically showing them did they replace the prescription. The latest antics was a recall of a different prescription I get on a monthly basis and the fact that they said it would take 2 weeks to get a new prescription. Their "solution" is untenable. I'm not sure why there are so many problems, but all I've witnessed is cog-like inefficiency and a lack of knowledge overall. I'd recommend choosing any pharmacy other than this. Their service is slow. They aren't knowledgeable. And they have a heads down mentality that doesn't acknowledge any shortcomings or provide solutions. And the lines go on and on. The best cvs I've been too! The pharmacist was very kind and helpful. I had just gotten home from the hospital from having my baby, & originally my meds were called in to another cvs pharmacy but they closed so I didn't make it in time to pick it up. I was desperate to get them that night because I really needed these meds per my doctor and I didn't want to end up in the ER. The pharmacist was very kind told me he would transfer the prescription, and not to worry that he'd take care of it. Thankfully he was able to get it ready before they closed- another thing I love about this pharmacy is that they closed late. Few days later he called me to check on how I was feeling on these meds. CVS Gets two stars. It's complicated: Having a convenient local pharmacy with extended hours and an extensive product line is a plus. Rita is a plus. Oh my, what a plus! Rita alone is worth the trip, worth making this pharmacy your medical pharmacy default stop of choice. More to come about her. The parking area is great, of course. Hey, it's Westlake Village, right? Please be patient. I will return to my singing of praises of Rita in a moment. The rest of the cvs story is a nightmare. Coupon come-ons with weird find print exclusions, long pharmacy lines with overworked pharmacists, etc etc this store turns me off. The interior redesigned premises are uglier than before. Now for the upside: Rita. She made it a point to know my name. She knows my face. She sees me coming. She sees me in line and this sweet pharmacy tech has my meds waiting for me as I approach the desk!!! Greets me with a smile and a welcome by name! What a sweetheart!!! I have no idea what all these other picky people are talking about, but this has to be my favorite CVS in town. I ALWAYS find what I need, staff ask me if i need help finding something, and the cashiers are so friendly. I have also filled prescriptions here and never waited for more than 10 minutes for them. Pharmacy staff is nice. The store looks really great and yes, their holiday/seasonal aisles look like hell but come on, people love to rummage and destroy holiday/seasonal aisles everywhere they go! You people need to just relax. I bet you're the same people that complain about dumb things at the place i work at. CVS in Westlake is great. read more

I have had bad experiences with other cvs's in the past but felt this one needed to be shared. I just had knee surgery for a torn acl. My husband went into the pharmacy to fill my prescription for pain medication. They first told him they would need to check stock and then told him that the prescription wasn't written incorrectly and they wouldn't be able to fill the prescription. We had the doctor try to call the pharmacy and was on hold for 30 minutes before giving up. My husband then went to Costco and the prescription was filled in 20 minutes. To be treated that way trying to fill a prescription is uncalled for and not being able to get through as a doctor makes me feel this pharmacy is unfit to help people in need. Take the extra time to go somewhere else. read more

Does not have the capacity to deliver pharmacy services adequately. I've seen a significant decline in performance as they grow to take over the market segment. I'll seek out other options to fill prescriptions, despite the accompanying inconvenience. read more
