I don't come to this pharmacy often but my patients do and whenever I call in an Rx, I'm usually directed to their main pharmacist, Richard. He's amazing! Super friendly, courteous and you can tell he definitely knows his stuff. Sometimes I'll have a question regarding dosage and he'll answer my question before I even finish asking. For the life of me I can't fathom why getting a prescription filled here takes an act of god. I have made 3 trips to pick up a refill and there's always an issue with why it's not ready. Strange because I got a reminder call to pick it up. It's a refill for crying out loud!! No apologies from the tech, no sense of urgency, nothing. The pharmacist here on staff today September 25th is probably the rudest I've ever encountered . I work in pain management and I deal with a lot . However when a Pharmacist calls a doctors office regarding a patient I don't care if you are having a bad day ... cause we all do but you don't say to the person on the other line you think they are juvenile or not listening to you. We deal with lots of patients demanding drugs and medication all day long too but keep your smart head on your shoulders and speak accordingly . Worst pharmacy ever. I almost never take prescription drugs, but about a year ago I had a UTI and needed drugs urgently. They were the closest so had the rx sent there. They did not have the most common uti drug in stock! I was in agony and after a huge hassle I was able to transfer to rite aid. If you've had a uti, you know you want that drug. So fast forward a year or so, and I need a different 1x rx. I was out of state and just had them send the request to my closest cvs, forgetting the earlier debacle. So it's called in at 10:30 am. I call to check at 1:30. Am told they are behind but will expedite and ready in 30 minutes. They will text. Nothing comes. I call around 2:30 and hold for about 30 but have to drop for a meeting. 4:30 nothing, so I call and hold for about 20 minutes until I have to drop for a work call. A friend comes by, and still nothing at 7:30 when she leaves. I call and am on hold for 10 minutes then get in the car. Walk in, still on hold. I am behind a woman who is being told they only have 11 of her 30 pill rx. I ask the woman if they ever answer their phone since I'm now on hold 20 minutes and no one bothers to pick it up. My rx was ready (shocker) and after I picked it up, they sent me a text. Cya I'm sure. Only 6 hours after promised. Don't go there if you can avoid it. Terrible service. read more

This is for the Pharmacy..I can understand being out of stock(#1), but not fixing or reporting the ongoing issue with texting (#2)when an RX is ready and then getting defensive(#3) about it, is not good business esp. When I don't live close by and am waiting for an RX or waiting for a text because it's the only way to set up a delivery without being on hold for 49 minutes then having them pick up and hang up(#4) the phone and then having to call back and wait another 30 minutes on hold to have them put it in to deliver it..Then they always say it's gonna be 3 days for delivery but if I do it on the app (when texting works), even after the RX has been filled, it's only 2days (all stores). And they blame it on the Post office.. No text? They blame it on the computer. And the man with the heavy accent (didnt get a name) that answers the Pharmacy phone is very rude and defensive and doesn't want to hear that they are the only store that doesn't text and tells me to go to another CVS then (when I explain the other stores' texting works).. don't worry I will.. read more

I disagree that this pharmacy deserves much credit at all. I am forced by my insurance to use CVS. Although frustrated EVERY time I come to this location, I remained faithful for 18 mos. I will no longer step foot in here. My most recent visit destroyed any faith I had in this place. When I got a ​notice that a several of Rxs had been filled, I called and spoke with a woman to find out which ones they were. I no longer needed one of the Rxs so she said she would put it back. When I sent someone to pick up my Rxs, they returned with the one I said I didn't need at a cost of $95. I IMMEDIATELY went to the pharmacy and explained. The one woman responsible for taking calls denied having spoken to me. They would NOT refund the money despite the unopened, still stapled bag. In all, I had spent 15 mins. in line at the register. Was told I would have to speak with the pharmacist, another 5 mins. In total, 20 minutes to be told too darn bad. And, it's NOT just at 5:00 when it's busy. I don't work, so I have gone in at various times of the day. It's a minimum of 20 mins. to get a prescription. The ONE plus of this place is a worker at Pharm named Audrey? Wow, she works two registers at a time just to try to keep up. Why the hell can't they hire more people? I truly believe this place needs new management. Until then, I will use Lindero Cyn because it has decent ratings. Oh, and I did just receive notice that regular Rxs can be sent to my home! So, there's that too. I have never wished a place to be closed....but, I'm darn near close. I leave angry every single time. Please WALGREENS! buy this location out! read more

Went to emergency room at Los Robles last Friday..to make a long story short, received a new script from Doctor at Las Robles late Saturday when I was discharged, and was to late to go to my regular pharmacy Kramers in Agoura, decided I should try and get script filled Sunday morning, so mistakenly went to CVS, script was not signed by doctor so after waiting 20 minutes, I was then advised they could not fill it due to lack of signature....Just came back from Kramers handing them the same Script, and was out of there in 10 minutes with med I wish all others who still use CVS luck read more

She told me I'm calling the wrong cvs, told me she couldn't help me, & then stated she was going to hang up. Had to go in-person to settle it. I would give 0 star if it was available! Pharmacist Shirin was the most unprofessional and rude person who doesn't seem to understand what customer service means! I get there and I was the only customer waiting. Pharmacy tech told me to wait 15 minutes since pharmacist was at lunch. I sat and waited. While waiting, 8 people come and stand in line. Pharmacist Shirin comes back from lunch and starts helping people in line. I advised her I have been waiting 15 minutes and I was first in line. She asked me to sit back in chair and wait! I waited another 5 minutes. She never tried to assist me so I asked again when I will be helped since I waited 20 minutes. She stated that I was being rude, unprofessional, and impatient!! What? Always out of any prescription the rich Westlake mommas find fun and hoard for themselves. I have two herniated disks in my back and have multiple times had to go to another location to get my prescriptions and have even been sent to the Agoura store and again been told they're out of hydrocodone. The staff at this location is generally nice but I've had multiple rude experiences as well. I honestly recommend going to another pharmacy if you don't want to wait forever in lines and for your Meds to be in stock. read more

During my lunch break today, I met an eldery woman who was barely able to walk due to pain. She had fractured both her hips and her doctor had ordered pain medication for her. She picked up her medication last night, only to be given the wrong one, with a different person's name on the bottle. In addition, when we finally walked into CVS, they didn't have any electric wheelchair/carts for her to sit in and "drive" towards the pharmacy, which is located at the very back corner of the store. I'm writing this review hoping that management will see this. Wrong medication - wrong patient : are BASIC things that ANYONE handling and dispensing medications SHOULD NEVER forget about. This poor lady could have had an anaphylactic reaction to this medication and died! She lives by herself at home! In addition, howcome there is not a single cart for disabled individuals in your store?! Do you know how many seniors have difficulty walking? How many injured patients need their medications? And by the way, how many disabled parking spots do you have reserved? This woman had to park towards the far end of the parking lot because all the disabled parking spots were taken (I only saw two). It's very disappointing that a huge pharmacy store with multiple locations are so inconsiderate of the majority of their customers. I really hope something gets done about this. And for others who are reading this, please make sure you check your medication label, dose, and name TWICE! Her medication was handed to her inside the CVS bag, with the Norco patient handout stapled on it. Only for her to open, not check, and take 2 doses of Lamotigrine instead. Pharmacists claim doctor made mistake, doctor doesn't respond to their questions, truth is doctor did NOT make a mistake, doctor did respond to their questions (though their was nothing confusing to begin with); the pharmacist, continued to represent that doctor was unreachable and would have to try again tomorrow, but for the fact that the doctor responded to me, in writing twice that the pharmacy's questions had been answered. The CVS is all red tape, and they make it as difficult as possible for ill patients to receive their medications. These stores consistently understaff, and consistently hire employees who seem to be trained in the art of aggravating already vulnerable people needing medication. Disgusting and hopefully America finds an alternative to this big chain pharmacy soon. read more

Came in looking for school supplies plus I had a small cough, I usually don't like going into these big stores By myself but I walked in and a really friendly older Asian lady greeted me and asked what I needed help with I think her name was Nina, sure enough she got me the school supplies exactly what I needed and guided me to over the counter cough medication I must say with out this lady it would've took me twice the time and probably would've been running in circles thank you for good customer service cvs and Nina! read more

If I could give this pharmacy a zero or negative I would. It is always painful to go into this store, but last night it was downright miserable!! No exaggeration. If I did my job the way these people do, I would have been fired long ago..and I am an RN. Have bronchitis, went to the DROP OFF window last nit with 3 rxs in hand.. Waited for 20 minutes while a pharm tech RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME ignored me for 10 min while on the computer. She finally asked me..and I kid you not.. What I was there for... Umm William and Kate's wedding!! WTF did she thin I was at the drop off window for. Waited 10 more minutes, finally grabbed rxs and left. This is going to be a mixed review.... I'm not one to slam a business because of things that happen that are inconvenient. I don't like long waits and minor things,but unfortunately I experienced something that is downright dangerous! I have a prescription there,that I've had for years. The other day,when I got home and noticed the pills looked completely different. My first thought was that it was a manufacturer change.Instincts are a great thing and I'm grateful I listened! The next day I went back and they had given me the WRONG MEDICATION!! Not everyone would have noticed and taken the pill.It made me think of the elderly,that just take what they are given.If this had been a first time prescription,I would've had no idea.. Mistakes happen,but in this industry it could be fatal!! I will never use them again for prescriptions! The store itself I have no issue with. this is by far the worst pharmacy i have ever been to. the last two times they have been 'out' of common (doxycycline for instance) medications. today i went for eye medication and guess what? they didn't have it....so request a substitute....guess what? the don't have that either. so request a third....guess what? the pharmacist tells me she's leaving for lunch (it's 10:23 am btw) and she can't request the third till she gets back. so yeah...im home and in pain with no medication. never again. Where do I begin!?! This store has made a very severe turn in a negative direction! I do not know if there has been a change in management or if the employees simplt do not care AT ALL about their customers! The pharmacy is a joke...Very poorly run...Dangerous errors have been made...Apathetic assistants continue to make me feel disrespected and that they are not trained or willing to correct errors...It never used to be this way. The managers that I have dealt with lately truly must not be supervised very closely...Either corporate is unaware of how this store is functioning or they simply do not care. Horrible experience! If I could give negative stars I would. I wish I had read the other reviews prior to going to this pharmacy. Disappointed that this location has received negative reviews for years and yet CVS does nothing about it. Had an emergency tooth extraction in Santa Monica. Was in tremendous pain and given a prescription for a pain killer. Went to CVS in Westlake Village to get it filled. Woman behind pharmacy counter (Christine or Catherine) was incredibly rude and completely void of any care or compassion. Said she wouldn't fill it because it was out of town. Absolutely ridiculous - it's a suburb of LA - same county! As I stood there crying in pain she walked away. I called my Dentist (they didn't call - that would have been too much trouble for them) and he was appalled that they were hassling me. He convinced the pharmacist Dan to fill it. Meanwhile my boyfriend called Walgreens and they said no problem come right over - I should have! I waited 50 minutes for my prescription. While Dan fumbled around the pharmacy - completely lost - kept saying to himself "oh yes, oh yes" Meanwhile others were dropping off and picking up while I waited - and their prescriptions were not emergencies. Every time I complained he said "we are working on it" and then would go to the register and help others. Btw he didn't know how to work the register and kept asking for a void. Both Christine (or whatever her name is) and Dan need to find new jobs. She is one of the worst people I have encountered. With her poor attitude and lack of compassion she should not be dealing with people! I will never forget standing in front of her crying and in excruciating pain while she clearly couldn't care less. read more

Prescriptions are NEVER ready, not even if you call days ahead. The will tel lyou they're ready for pick-up when they're not. They are all incredibly RUDE. They have screwed up more prescriptions than I care to recall; have given me entirely the wrong medication - one of which might have killed me - and there is never an apology for their total lack of customer service and rudeness. The pharmacy is just MEh. It is overpriced compared to Walmart, but usually has what I need and is convenient. THe only shining star was Andrea, who worked the pharmacy counter, and pretty much new all of the customers by name, from rock stars to the average joe! But I went in today and of course had a problem, and when I asked when andrea was going to be in, since she knew how to fix just about any issue and cared, I was told she no longer works there. Further inquiries led nowhere, "We can't talk about it." Well, CVS...I'm going to start looking around for Andrea and switching to Walmart or Walgreens for the time being. . read more

Just returned from another horrible experience at this CVS pharmacy, the worst establishment of any kind I have ever visited. There are no word in the English language to describe how putrid this pharmacy really is. 1) today, waited for 55 minutes to pick up four prescriptions, 2 more we not available. 2) mixed up my needed prescriptions for the umpteenth time. I now have six months worth of melox-a-cam and zero days of Lipitor . 3)I have tried to get all my nine prescriptions to be available on the same day of the month.....an impossible task with their screwed up computer system. I have pick up my meds one or two,at a time. 4) the store is understaffed in pharmacy. 5) the pharmacy work systems are mismanaged. 6) one woman in line today just gave up and asked how she could go about transferring her R x's to Rite Aid or Walgreens. My local CVS pharmacy has been bad in the last few weeks. We have used CVS pharmacies for more than 30 years in New Jersey and now for the last year in Westlake, California. Up until the last few weeks, service has been excellent. Previously, the pharmacists and counter assistants have been more than friendly and responsive to our needs. In the past few weeks, however, we have had 4 incidents where service has been poor to terrible. The biggest problem occurred when I was bringing my wife home after an oncological second opinion at USC medical center in LA. My wife, who had major, major surgery just two weeks before, had growing pain, and was in absolute agony by the time we arrived at CVS. I explained that my wife was in agony in the car and the strong pain killer was needed quickly. I was told it would be ready in about an hour and a half and there was no way to fast-track it after the counter assistant talked to the pharmacists. I have since learned that they could have and should have expedited it. This occurred early evening when did not appear to be a lot of waiting customers. The pharmacy staff looked like they were tired and just did not care. I had to take my wife home and come back almost 2 hours later to get the narcotic pain killer which they could have counted out in minutes. I know from talking to the employees that a new computer system caused some additional workload but that the real problem is loss of staff and that staff have not been brought in by headquarters to remedy the problem. I was also told that some employees have had to work 20 hours overtime and also that some of the staff loss was from leaves taken because of stress. The negative shift in the attitudes of the staff has been a topic of conversation by customers in the much longer lines that have appeared during this period of time. Pharmacy staff has seemed tired and going through the motions. They previously appeared happy in their work. Sad that this should have happen to what was such a good company. If service does not return to their normally great service, we will go to another pharmacy. I might add that the non-pharmacy staff have continued to be their normal friendly and very helpful selves. read more

Worst pharmacy. Never properly staffed and everyone is too busy to help you. Be prepared to wait and wait and wait and wait. If you want to get a pharmacy that gets you in/out and is super professional, try Walgreens off Ventu Park road in Newbury Park next to Walmart. They are helpful and fast. They also have a drive thru and a really well stocked store for everything you could want. read more

Medication not delivered in a timely manner, incorrect medication filled, many trips back to pharmacy to get correct prescription, staff is unattentive, flustered, and make excuses for their errors. Time and time again they frequently bill wrong insurance, store not tidy, bad management which reflects in their employees. Called Corporate Office to express my concerns about not getting my medication and was told a District Manager would call me. No call as of yet. Too many issues to address on Yelp! "Undercover Boss" needs to pay a visit to this store! Unfortunately, Yelp does not allow me to give zero stars but one is too generous and not accurate. First off, if i could give this review 0 stars i would. This is the worst drugstore I have ever been to. Long lines, they never have what I need and their shelves always seem bare! Not to mention the pharmacy is horrendously busy and you will never get your prescription on time. The staff is less than courteous and always seem stressed. This pharmacy for years has been ridiculous. My grandmas rx can only be filled here as the other surrounding pharmacies don't carry one of her medications. The pharmacists and their staff are all slow and do not have any customer service skills. They will give you a time that the prescription will be ready but it always takes twice as long. Every time I go to CVS pharmacy I wait in line line for at least 15 minutes. Then they never have it filled so I wait longer. Last time I heard the employees talking about how they spend time editing the arrival times so it looks like they are on time in there system. The employees are very friendly and seem to try there best. I have to give one star due to wait times. read more

Late night help!!! Been fighting a cold and cough all week, but no fever. Doc said no fever no antibiotics. Well sure enough 8pm I'm spiking 102!!!! A call to the Doctor, he called in a z-pac to our local CVS. They took care of it then and there and I was out the door in less than five minutes. Too bad there aren't zero stars. They are grossly understaffed. The people are nice but the orders are never ready on time. It took me 30 min to drop off three prescriptions today. At my other pharmacy, I just hand it to them and they say 'we'll have it ready in 30 min.' Literally a 3 min checkin. They typically have 4 people there, and CVS had two people with a pharmacist taking her lunch break, leaving no pharmacist on duty. And I hear their volume is multiples of what a typical pharmacy is. The poor people that work there have better attitudes than I would if I were in their shoes. God bless them. read more
