REVIEW: I will stop at this location if I am in the area. In full disclosure, I no longer use their pharmacy (thankfully). But, more often that not, the service is basic at best. Nothing out of the ordinary in either way. Additionally, the shelves are often (mostly) empty but that's pretty much every CVS I frequent. I have ended up using CVS.com for most of my needs now. When I come to this location, I have a purpose or specific item in mind that I need. I always hope for the best that they will have it in stock, even with my low expectations. Come on CVS, level up!

Walmart has affordable household & grocery items. They actually carry things that I frequently use,…read moreso no wonder I find myself going to different Walmart stores. This specific Walmart isn't a Walmart Super Center. But, does offer limited groceries, a Pharmacy, clothing, a seasonal section, household items & small appliances. I also have the Walmart+ App. As it helps me send out stuff to my family when they need certain items. Walmart+ definitely came in clutch, several times especially when my son was sick & lives hours away in San Diego. It's great & gives me peace of mind to be able to have groceries & such sent to him for me :)

They couldn't print the matte prints because their machine was down. I signed up for text notifications and didn't get any. Later to find emails saying it was cancelled. Poor timing for holiday season. And on top of this, there was no associate in sight while I waited at the counter. I understand she was busy helping another customer but might want to check the line as it was growing. Or maybe need a back up there.

They had poor communication about the pharmacy hours and told me my meds would be in on a certain date. When I went there they said we don't know when we will get these meds in. I was so angry. I had waited 5 days. I called my doctor and had him pull the prescription and send it it to CVS. I went over to CVS on Ashwood. They had my meds within hours. I chatted with a customer in my line who was a big fan of CVS here on Ashwood. She went on and on about how great the pharmacist and the pharmacy department was. When my name was called, I picked up my meds without a hitch. Then the customer, who I had chatted with shouted, "Welcome to your pharmacy! We are happy to have you." A few people in line cheered for me as well as the pharmacist! My sour mood changed to fabulous!! I am so dang happy about my experience. Bravo!!!

Came in to buy a few makeup items!…read more Nicely organized. The only thing may be that you will see a lot of unhoused people outside this location. As I was driving in one threw a bottle of water at my car. Completely scared me. He walked away across the street so nothing big happened and no damages to my car. So why the 4, bc I get my makeup here and I get tons of coupons too! I have never had an issue until today. Most of the people outside will not bother you. Just be mindful that there may be some characters outside but not the businesses fault.

He had a hideously scary night of coughing 2 nights ago. I called CVS Pharmacy and spoke to George Pharmacist. Explained he'd just been diagnosed with Chronic Bronchitis due to unknown allergy. George reviewed all his prescriptions and over the counter meds and recommended switching him to plain Mucinex at night and using Delsym cough suppressant. (We choose grape liquid.) Has only needed 1 nebulizer breathing treatment early this morning and no audible wheezing today! Cough became rare instead of insistent. Thank You George!!

Longs is the drugstore I grew up with and still the one I prefer, though I can't think of anything exceptional to point out about this location. When I'm in SoCal, I also like going to Rite Aid and I like these two about equally. It has your standard photo center, pharmacy, beauty products, school supplies, candy aisle, toys, greeting cards (Hallmark), electronics and so forth. I did find an elusive flavor of Jelly Belly Sport Beans here (one I could not locate in the Bay Area at the time).

Every single prescription has had an issue. They also hassle me about using GoodRX For my fourth visit: there was an issue again, and I had to go over to the consulting desk (as always) where he fixed it. However, just as he fixed it, and literally (I'm not exaggerating) all I had to do was pay, they closed for lunch, and someone came over to shut down our conversation, and told me I would have to come back later. I explained that all we had to do was pay, and this only took long because of their mistake. She rudely didn't care and just kept repeating "we are closed for lunch, you'll have to come back" like a broken record. Which, not only was this insanely bad customer service, lacking any sort of accountability for their issue, but what an infuriating way to be spoken to. The above was the last straw, and with her last "you'll have to come back later", I told her I was never coming back. But hey, on the bright side, I was out of there in under an hour!

Where have these been hiding out for the past several years of my life?! I really love that I could shop for Walmart groceries without the hassle of dealing with the larger superstores which means more people and more lines. This is very small and I like the idea of giving me just the right amount of choices without overwhelming me. There were several different keto bread brands to choose from as well as they carry some Realgood Foods frozen foods items I haven't seen before. There is no deli or bakery so fresh deli meats are limited as well as bakery items. It does have a Pharmacy and there are many sections in which they have to lock up products behind glass cabinets in which you have to call for assistance. I have now lived in Oxnard for a little over 3 months and it took me this long to check this place out. I will be back to do more weekly shopping here. They had everything I was looking for and then some.
