Takes some time to enter everything, many times the screen does not record your touch entry, some older people find it confusing. Pharmacist used to find you instantly with name and dob. Why the stupid touchscreens? Truly a pain to use, especially when touchpad does not sense entry. Additionally, one has to touch a touchscreen used by untold number of people leaving germs to hop onto your finger. What a terrible idea. Referring to CVS in Belmont, Ma. Most stupid store ever!!! I bought three items total. After scanning the second one and putting it in the bag, I realized I placed it bad so I lifted my item up to adjust for spacing and putting it back in the bag. Before I scan my third item, the system suspected some activity and had a member come over. When coming over, in a rude way, he asked me what I did. Then accused me trying to steal and put something in the bag without scanning. My third item was still in the cart...he asked, "what did you put in the bag without scanning?" Blatantly rude and disrespectful staff. I called this pharmacy to see if they had a medication that I needed in stock. It was recommended to me by the Allston pharmacy and so I called the number to see if I could pick up today. A woman answered the phone and immediately started with a nasty attitude, did not ask me any information, or what medication I needed. Instead she told me that I had "already picked it up" and was ready to hang up on me before I asked her if she even knew what medication wa called. She proceeded to name the incorrect one to which I responded with the one I actually needed. I even spelled it out for her. Not once did I raise my voice or give her back half the attitude she gave me I was patient and calm enough through this lady's crappy attitude and yet she kept growing increasingly rude and disrespectful throughout our conversation. I tried to ask if I could pick up the medication today, but her horrible attitude continued. I told her that I needed this medication because I was going through a miscarriage and responded with, "Oh, that's just your feelings" in the most casually dismissive manner humanly possible. Just a miscarriage, lady?? Who hurt you?? Who speaks to someone having a miscarriage like this? It's unbelievable! Eventually, I lost my cool with her and told her that "yes, I am a human being. I do have feelings and I would appreciate some compassion. I asked her what kind of customer service this was?" I asked to speak with someone else and she essentially left me on hold indefinitely! I will be filing a complaint with CVS directly and I expect someone to hold this woman accountable. All of it was uncalled for. I think she needs to sit down and listen to the entire conversation, have a manager go over how poorly she handled this, and fire her ass. I'm not in the habit of "getting people fired" because I've worked over a decade in customer service and understand how exacerbating customers can be, but I did nothing to deserve this treatment. Literally nothing! I have been a loyal CVS customer for over a decade, but this was enough to push me away. I will no longer be purchasing any non pharmacy items from CVS ever again. Is it wrong of me to expect that a store/pharmacy would be clean?? I entered through the doors on Main St which felt as though I was walking in to the back area of a store that is off-limits to customers, but it really is an entrance. Nothing really looked organized, today easily could have been the day before or after Christmas by the look of things; add in the carpeting which needs to be replaced (all the vacuuming and steam cleaning imaginable could not help it) and you will want to grab the one thing you need and get out of there ASAP. On the way out via the parking lot entrance, you can pass by the overflowing trash and the dispenser with disinfectant wipes that is so stuffed full of trash that the "clean" one you take out might actually be mingled with the trash. Woweee! Did I have an experience today. CVS on Main Street Watertown all the employees are all different levels of Management. From the inventory, front/ cashiers and of course pharmacy. Although this CVS is a bit out of my way, it's worth it. I had a rush script that I had to travel three towns over and made it with time to spare. I asked for some Covid tests, no question, just right in the bag. ( a bag with handles) . The other CVS in Watertown I have been loyal too because of location cation and next to stop and shop. I won't miss the obnoxious, condescending too busy to get my order correct every single time. Or the assistant ignoring my needs, with loudly over talking. It is located right on Main street. When I pulled up I discovered that the parking is in back. There is a large public lot with spaces specifically for CVS. I wnet in looking for a perscription only to discover that they were out of stock. I was referred to them by another store. The inventory on the computer said that they had it in stock. So much for the inventory system. After discovering that they were out of stock, they offered to order it for me. Now that is customer service. It was a Saturday so I had to return on Monday to pick it up. Overall, I found the staff at CVS very accomodating. read more

June 2023: 2: I stopped by this location to return some medication at the take back box that each pharmacy should have at any of their locations. I found that this location does have one and a worker directed me to the back of the store location. This was supposed to be a standard for all pharmacies some time ago. This is of very few locations that have a box near the pharmacy. This location does not want schedule one and two drugs to be deposited into this container. Naturally I asked the counter worker at the pharmacy. What am I supposed to do with schedule 1 and 2 drugs. The kind of workers stared at me and shrugged their shoulders and said I don't know. Really? So am I supposed to guess what has to be done. No one in this store seems to know anything other than pushing the buttons in front of them and pointing in the direction of someone else who is working in the store. You also have to pay for parking at this location which is not going to be good in order to take 5 or 10 minutes to walk inside, stand and get your medication and exit this location without getting a ticket on your vehicle. read more

Before I trash the place, I must say that there are several workers who work at the front of the store who are amazing. There is one woman in particular who always has a smile on her face and manages to brighten up my day. Now time for tea... -The hardly ever have prescriptions ready in a timely fashion Numerous times I have gone to pick up a prescription a day or two after my doctor called it in, only for the pharmacist to tell me it'll be read in an hour. I don't know if they aren't checking their system or if they are just lazy, but that's very irritating. -They are real quick to blame the doctor for why they don't have the prescription. Numerous times they've claimed not to receive something from my doctor, only to call me a few hours later to say they received. I've witnessed my doctor send the script on his E-pad, but they always want to blame the doctor. -They take FOREVER to answer their phone I'm always annoyed with how long the take to answer the phone. One time I was in the store waiting for my medicine and out of curiosity I called the pharmacy (yes, I'm petty like that) and I watched them ignore the phone; and it wasn't like they were all dealing with costumers, they just didn't feel like picking up the phone. -One of the pharmacist is just down right rude. -The cashiers are nice, but not all of them seem to know what they are doing. Overall, this CVS is a mess. I think the only reason I use them is that they are walking distance from my house. Pharmacists always have an attitude. They mess up prescriptions and if you ask them to fix them they turn around and tell you they are too busy to fix problems THEY created (incorrect billing using coupon). Variation of this extremely bad attitude and just messy delivery has happened before at this location. One of these times, the pharmacist refused to release the prescription stating they needed to go on break while there were clearly 5 more minutes left on the clock and the other tech was helping people from behind me in line. All after they asked me to head at the back of the line after being at consultation (and getting there after I stayed in line at the pick up before as I didn't know they messed it up until they had to ring it). And I was with a toddler and a baby in cart- not the most convenient situation for waiting around - more than 50 min for them to fix their errors. It is just a messy place with an attitude and revolving door for pharmacists (thus no interest on the pharmacists to actually perform). You should have concerns if you pick up your prescription from here- too important to allow these unprofessional pharmacists to mess up your Heath. read more

There are three technicians (that I can see) and absolutely no other people at the pharmacy, and yet I was told it would be an hour for them to fill my ONE simple Rx. In fact, it was very apparent that they didn't even want me to wait, because I was asked if I wanted to pick it up the next day and not given the option to have it filled right away. I was also not offered any explanation as to why it would be an hour when I clarified that it would seriously be an HOUR. I said I would wait, and am sitting next to the pharmacy watching the staff chat and organize bags of prescriptions. They don't appear to be filling anything, just moving bags from different locations and talking. I'm not entirely sure why I have to wait an hour, as they are clearly prioritizing organization and chatting over my time. I've been to this CVS once before, but this will be the last time. Tip for CVS management: train your pharmacy employees on time management and customer service, because it's obviously not their strong suit. I have had a few issues with prescriptions (not wrong ones, just wrong amounts) - they always correct it but it seems like a waste of medications and time. WORST pharmacy experience I've ever dealt with- on hold for about 30 minutes just trying to get in touch with someone at CVS. At first I attempted 2 phone calls to the pharmacy department, but was left on hold for about 11 minutes with each attempt. I then tried to contact the general phone number and again they kept transferring me to the pharmacy without waiting for me to explain how many attempts I've already made to contact the pharmacy directly. Finally, after reaching a pharmacist, they were unapologetic, didn't seem to want to listen to my feedback and rushed me to ask my question. Not only is this pharmacy never available, there's always a wait to pickup your prescription, the parking lot is metered and the overall store is outdated and small. I would choose the CVS on Mt. And then I went to check out. there was one person at the counter with a clerk, and another clerk by the 'self checkout' she immediately ushered me over to the self check out. I finally did the self checkout, just so she would leave me alone This isn't the first time I have been 'encouraged' to use the self checkout, both here and at stop and shop well, I have issues with this, and don't feel I should be FORCED to use self checkout. call me spoiled, call me an ass, whatever. but Why should I do the work? 1. If I was getting a discount to check myself out, then fine. But they pay clerks for this 2. It is not normally faster. You are checking out and paying, versus splitting the tasks between two. 3. IT SUCKS. Why? Well first I rang up NyQuil, which then made them have to come over and check my ID, ring numbers into the computer and let me continue. Then she left. Then I went to ring something up and the computer screwed it up, and they had to come back. A CVS is a CVS- unless it's in Watertown. This is a less-than-competent store on so many levels. Instead of having a "greeter" maybe they could hire an extra cashier to have for 5+ person lines. They simply watch lines form and then usher everyone in self checkout lines. The older Asian cashier seems to be the owner, and she has a major attitude. I lost my CVS card and have no interest in getting a new one due to the very minimal benefits, so I always opt to use the free store/courtesy card. The pharmacy here is disgraceful. There are 6-7 "pharmacists" working behind the counter and the line still gets pretty crazy. When you get lucky and there's no line, you get completely ignored by the staff. I've stood there for 5-7 minutes trying to catch eyes and saying "excuse me" loudly and they still don't seem to notice me. My experience here has sucked since I moved to Watertown in Sept. Every single time I refill my scripts there is a problem and I have to wait when I come to pick up for them to fill. They never call you if there's a problem, they just pretend they didn't get the request. And this is calling at 9am for a 6pm pick-up! Last night was it. I ran out of birth control and called to refill, calling the number on my prescription and hit the number to speak to a pharmacist to let them know that my insurance wouldn't cover the script but to fill it anyway and I would pay out of pocket. This was at 3pm. At 7pm I showed up and was told that there was nothing in the system and that my insurance wouldn't cover the script. I looked at the girl dumbfounded and told her I knew, that's why I called and asked to have it filled. She told me I could speak to someone at drop-off and wait 20 min to get it filled. I don't think so. I called and spoke to a manager today who told me that all calls to the pharmacy go to a CALL CENTER that has been contracted to take all calls and relay messages via computer to the pharmacy techs. They can't control what happens and if you want to talk to an actual tech behind your local counter, you need to ask specifically or call the store and have the operator put you through but you have to be specific. Funny how they don't tell you that at all when you are calling in the automated message. After 15 years of being a loyal CVS customer, I am switching to Target where you speak to the person behind the counter and they call you personally if there are any problems. read more

Everything there is stocked 90% of the time. Really nice store clerks who help me look up my card everytime I forget it. Photo department is always really helpful with my orders and tries to make my photos perfect everytime I print from my digital camera. Whenever something is out of stock, the managers are more than happy to issue me a rain check so that I can get the item for the current sale price at a later date. Huge spacious parking lot. Thank you Thank you Thank you for being in this location. I was racing over to my friend's baby shower and I needed a card and the shower was a few blocks away from this area. Fortunately I saw the CVS and raced in to get a card. The parking is in the back but you access it from the left side of the store. If you take that road on the right side I think it's a dead end and you get stuck. So go to the left of the store (facing it) and park in the back lot! It's a little disorienting when you are in the store because it's confusing as to what end is the front and what end is the back. Assume the front is the street side. Otherwise it's just like any other CVS - big, lots of things to buy, lots of great stuff, lots of junk, my kind of store. read more

Have found both in stock the last four visits. Manager was responsive to my requests. My impression of the store is now a good one. ................................. Nice to have a 24 hour CVS nearby. The staff is always very helpful. I just wish they'd keep Coco Vita coconut water (original, not flavored) and POM pomegranate juice stocked. They're almost always either very low on or sold out of both of these at this location. This CVS is very well laid out and well sized -- big but not too big, so that it's reasonably clear where everything is, and if you do get lost, friendly and helpful staff are always on hand to point you to the products you want to buy. They're also helpful with the automatic self-checkout service, always there to fix any bugs in the system or to guide you through the checkout process. This CVS is also a great place for essential groceries when I need them without having to go all the way to the supermarket. Milk by the gallon, orange juice by the half-gallon, grape or apple juice, V-8, good-sized boxes of Cheerios, and bags of Dove chocolates are often discounted with my CVS ExtraCare card, just when I need these items most. All of my oral care, foot care, deodorant, shaving, bathing, vitamin and other necessities are handy as well, not to mention prescriptions at their friendly, efficient pharmacy and superfast photo processing, where I can get actor's headshots done and ready for pickup in a jiffy with the click of a mouse online. And the ExtraBucks and other discount coupons I get with my sales receipt are second to none for budget shopping. Handy metered parking in back, too. This is the best CVS I've ever done business in. Love that all of the staff are wearing masks and gloves and are ensuring that the safety of the customers are a first priority. I must say that the customer service is impeccable as well as the product knowledge of the sales associates. I know it is hard working in a store that is 24 hours a day and is constantly receiving customers but I always have a great experience from the time I walk in. The place does get busy at times which is normal but as soon as the lines get long I've noticed that additional staff are rushing to assist customers.
