Doctor put script at 5:34 pm. It is 9:59 pm and it's still not ready. This is the worse pharmacy experience I ever dealt with. I can't believe this sh*t. West Hartford suppose to be the cream of the crop. Then I got a voicemail when i finally called at 8:30. CVS needs to hire more people at the pharmacy. When you call you are transferred to a voicemail system not knowing if you will ever get call back. Picking up prescriptions is a nightmare, the lines are long and 99% of the time only one person working at the front. They must be stressed knowing customers in the line are tired, stressed and without patience. There's no rhyme or reason, you go in early long lines you go in during the evening long line. Medications many times are not even ready even though it's been 6 hours since the provider had sent the script in. Staff and customers need more respect, hire more people so you don't over work the staff. Hire more people to avoid angry customers. read more

They installed bottle return machines last year but never activated them that is required by state law. I called the 800 number but nothing gets done. They take my nickel but the wouldn't return it when you bring the empty back. I am filing a complaint with the state consumer protection agency. read more

All CVS got their automated system updated. It's the worse thing they did. They are literally getting Worse than Walgreens. The system keeps sending you to voice mail and no possible way to speak to a pharmacist In order to served patients CVS need to make sure there's always someone in the pharmacy available to speak to. You are obligated to leave voice mail message. I do not think they thought things through when they decided to think that forcing people to leave a message it's easy and quick way to serve patients in need to speak to someone regarding their medications read more

I like this store, it's well stocked compared to other locations but the pharmacist that works there was not only dismissive to my concerns about new medication, but seemed bothered that I even dare ask him if he would explain my new medication to me. Isn't that part of their job?! I get everyone has an off or even a bad day, but when a person fresh out of the hospital has questions about the new medication you just sold them, please be patient and help them out. read more

Needed a covid test this morning , this was the closest "24 hour" pharmacy , went to walk into the store which was lit up with cars parked outside but all interior doors were locked with no sign of any staff. Had to drive 3 towns over to get what I needed . Absolutely useless "connivence store" read more

Why is it that the CVS pharmacies that are open the longest also have the slowest, most inattentive service even when not busy? Open 24 hours and if you are not that squeaky wheel, it might just take that long for you to get in and out of the store even with no line ahead of you. read more

What a horrible experience Never again ever!!! Always a horrible experience everyone is super rude ! The only kind person there was the pharmacist! After spending several hours in the ER for my 4 year old child the lady at the pharmacy rolled her eyes when I came up to the counter! There were multiple people behind me and when I asked when it would be ready she said after 2pm when I got there way before the 1:30pm mark. Her and another associate going back and forth back and forth and it was awful ! Until the pharmacist jumped in. I just want my child to have her medication instead of it being an issue. Literally zero stars if possible. Failing grade. The only positive for this store is the fact that they are open 24 hours which is unusual in this area. The self checkouts have been out of service for months. One, and sometimes possibly two cashiers results in a line that wraps down the aisles. The parking lot on the eastern side of the store has potholes galore, broken granite curbs, not a great driving experience I always make it a point to avoid this location when in the area. It would take so few changes to improve this store to something of much higher quality, but for some reason, it hasn't happened. There is a Walgreens right across the street except it isn't 24 hours. Perhaps that's why they just don't seem to care at CVS? read more

Just disappointed. the place was practically empty yet they took a good amount of time attending me when they gave me my prescription it had the wrong amount of pills and I was sent to a different counter because the receptionist did not have information on my pill afterwards they said they were going to give me the right amount and I had to wait 25 minutes and during that amount of time I saw a MOUSE!!! it was not a shock to me since it is a dirty place not only that but everything is too overpriced this is the same as any pharmacy so you might as well go to a different place. read more

This store no longer gets the job done. It's patheticly run and ineptly staffed. For the past few months, I've been greeted by the monosyllabic stylings of, "yeah?" at the register. Once improperly greeted, the check out process is painfully slow, with untrained cashiers scanning items at a snail's pace (when they know how to run the register and/or are not chatting up friends). The electronic doors stick, offerings are set up in a confusing manner, management is nowhere to be found when an associate needs help. I'm begging my wife to begin using a different CVS so that I may escape the living hell that this one has become. WeHa friends...there are so many CVS locations in town...do not waste your time on this one. Go to another one. Any of them. Your day will be so much better for it. read more

If you like wasting an hour of your life standing in line to pick up/drop off a prescription, by all means, go to this CVS. About the only thing this place is good for. The longs lines are causing customer to be angry and aggregated, thus it's getting transferred to the employees. The employees' morale is quite deflated and in turn horrible customer service. Great Service! Went there for my COVID vaccination, the staff was extremely courteous and helped me sort out issues with my online appointment. They were well informed regarding the vaccine, and made sure that they followed the guidelines! The only drawback in the store is that doesn't have a few food and grocery items that you would normally want, possibly they are having issues with restocking due to COVID. read more

I work at the Funeral Home across the street. Ran in to the pharmacy to get allergy med. it was approximately 8:30 am. The pharmacist,a gentleman of Asian decent was extremely interactive, curt,and rude. Did not want to help me. I'm beginning to Think it's a prerequisite that you have to be rude in order to be a pharmacist at any CVS location. I will be attending Walgreens pharmacy from here on out. read more

Ok to get stuff from but do not get your meds or photos here. They come in late and expect you to wait an extra 30 minutes on top of them being late for however long. It is not professional at all if I say I will be open at 10 then I would be open and ready at 10. read more

The pharmacy at this CVS is literally the worst I've ever been to. The pharmacists, on more than one occasion, have been unable to fill a script for one reason or another; I've then gone to a different CVS to fill it and they're able to do it without any problems. The pharmacists at the other CVS pharmacies will flat out say that the reason this specific CVS gave me was not accurate. Avoid the headache and go to a different CVS! read more

Horrible service. Was told prescriptions were ready, was not told one was on back order. Discovered missing medication when I got home. When I called, I was told medication was on back order and I would have to call around. They could not tell me which other CVS pharmacies had the item in stock, but that the prescription could be transferred to another location. I called CVS on Maple Ave. and they said they had the medication. When I arrived I was informed that the CVS on New Britain would have to fax the prescription and it would be another 20 minute wait. I can't believe no one told me the prescription had to be faxed between CVS. First, that is ridiculous based on current technology. Second, someone could have told me so I could started the process before I arrived. read more

Update on the original review which is below this one. . It's so hard to find a good pharmacy. This one could only last a few months good. I brought in a prescription Thursday night. The pharmacist ran it through my insurance and it was approved. He then said he didn't have it in stock but he'd order it and it would be in on Tuesday. I started to leave, and the pharmacist said "Wait. Take your prescription" I said it's better to just leave it and I'll come back Tuesday. He said to take the prescription because sometimes the pharmacy loses prescriptions! He said to bring the prescription back on Tuesday and it would be filled. So on Tuesday I went in, and it was a different pharmacist. This pharmacist said he has to check with the doctor before filling it. (Which would be at least the next day). I asked him why does it take them 6 days to call a doctor. He said he didn't know because the other pharmacist was supposed to do that! Then he said they didn't have it anyway because it hadn't been ordered!! He said he'd order it and it would be in Friday! and he'd call the doctor before then! This place is an incompetent horror shoe. Stay away and keep searching for a good pharmacy It's hard to find good pharmacies, especially good CVSs, but this pharmacy is excellent. 24 hours (legitimate 24 hours - not like so many fake "24 hour" pharmacies where the pharmacy isn't 24 hours), unusually good product selection - especially for more healthful products, fully staffed every time I've been there (no hunting around for a cashier as in many CVSs), very professional courteous, pleasant staff (both in the pharmacy and the non-pharmacy section - this is uncommon from what I've seen in CT pharmacies), a pharmacy staff that actually seems to make an effort to make the process for each prescription to get done smoothly and quickly without problems and knows how to do it (not an easy thing to find), and prescriptions done quickly and on time read more

Count your narcotic pain relievers. Just had surgical procedure and had prescriptions filled here because I was discharged after hours. Received only 15 out of 20 tablets of the pain med. Called and spoke to the pharmacist who filled the order. She stated she counted out 20 but placed the 20 back in her bottle and gave me the 15 that should have gone back in their bottle. She stated she would leave the remaining tablets in a bottle for me. Maybe this is just a fluke, but worth counting. No apology was given for this inconvenience. read more

Please be sure to double check all your medication at the counter! Had Vicodin filled only got 4 pills instead of 8 and of course it's my fault due to the fact that I have never had this issue happen to me before, got home thankfully hadn't needed to use it, but when I opened up the prescription to put it away to my surprise I only had 4, called the pharmacy and of course they tell me that I was given 8 we just counted with the log and we are correct! So just a reminder to double check your prescriptions before you leave - someone pocketed 4 Vicodin and of course this couldn't have happened in their eyes! read more
