The CVS location is unorganized wait times are so long because they never have enough people to cover and especially in the Pharmacy. You get zero support and lines can be 15 people long and one person working the counter. Just WOW in how horrible the customer service is here. I went to do a simple exchange as my doctor recommended I purchase an item for a surgery I recently went through that I did not end up needing to use. I couldn't find my receipt or remember if it was a paper or e-Mail receipt, so the cashier advised me she would be unable to allow me to return it without that and recommended I call the corporate line as perhaps they can help me obtain this receipt. I walk out of the store very annoyed and begin to research trying to find the receipt but have no luck. So I also look up the return policy for CVS on their corporate website which states that any item can be returned without a receipt for store credit which I'm okay with so I go in to approach the cashier with this information that I found. She then says that this is not what she knows but can get a "manager" for me regarding this. She then sends me over to a younger lady with dark hair and glasses and when I show her the policy on the corporate website, she said this policy is "at the manager's discretion." I asked her then why it doesn't say that on the policy on their corporate website and she said she doesn't know but cannot go over her manager's head. I ask if I can speak to her manager then and she said very rudely "he's not here right now, he doesn't work Sundays!" I asked when he is available and she said "usually weekday mornings". Well usually I work weekday mornings so I told her I'd just go write a bad review on Yelp since they don't want to abide by corporate policies. She said "go right ahead!" I really, truly hope they close down this location. The service is beyond horrible. I called and was on hold over 35 minutes and no one ever picked up. I hung up and called the actual store and the supervisor was nice enough to walk to the pharmacy and advise them. Ana picked up at the pharmacy, with such a horrible tone. Lacking heart and professionalism :( You never know what is going on behind the face of someone picking up medication. Yesterday, my daughter picked up meds for a family member in their last days. She was scolded and deflated by the woman at the window, for not knowing the DOB. I called this morning to check if the correct form of this drug was given, and received the same inhumane, rude, uncaring BS, from yet another team member. So much trouble to pick up 2 simple prescriptions! The clerk Cynthia was unable to correctly put the information into the computer and told me "You will have to call your insurance; you are not covered" I had to argue with her to insist it is valid. Finally, with a horrible attitude she finally left to ask someone to help her..another better trained employee fixed the error! Specifically asked if they are INSIDE target or not and was given an incorrect answer. It's not that hard. I was told they don't have my prescription at both! So funny... Pharmacy is really dirty. Went for flu shot and the counter and chair were so dirty I would not sit down. The person who gave me the shot agreed and said I could take shot standing up. The protective gloves are thrown together in plastic basket including used ones. I should have left but wanted to get it over with and saw that new needle and shot was used. read more

Well here we go again. Another month and another major CVS blunder. After forgetting to order my medication last month that put me in hospital for 3 days. CVS has done it again. Maybe having more than 1 refill on the script I have my doctor write 7 individual scripts so CVS isn't blindsided by my request. They send me a text telling me my prescription was ready for pick up. So 2 days later I call to confirm what was ready for pick up. The Pharmacist says I didn't have anything more? WHAT? ARE YOU SURE? I dropped off 2 one had 1 on it and the other had 6, six - half of 12. One more than 5. She put me on hold for few minutes, then gets back on line to tell me I was pronoucing it wrong? WHAT? MY FAULT? AGAIN? Last month I was to blame cause I dropped my scripts off a week early and they dropped the ball then. Well my bad, hell I guess when I dropped it off I should of asked for speech instructions. Oh hell, my bad again! Well back to today's let down. Text was premature so know my 7 scripts due for pick up today. Will be ready on Tuesday after 2:00 pm so just 16 hrs from Wendsday and you can't pick nothing up after midnight cause Mr. Personality that comes to work on his shift goes to lunch for an 11/2 hrs after a 1 hr of work. So if you want to pick up after 2:00 am your on. So, I seen this coming and stretched last month out for 2 days. But I will be finding a new drive thru Pharmacy. Cause CVS is sh t! Oh yeah did I mention I'm disabled? So instead of driving a 1/16 of a mile into Whittwood I have to drive at least 3.0 miles if I don't want to try to walk in and go to a RITE AID instead of CVS. By the way for the record I've used CVS LA HARBRA before when Whittwood has jacked it up. They've never had problem . So that tell me whoever is in charge at Whittwood is in the wrong position and should be replaced before this type of problem does not KILL SOMEONE! Cont... Well thought that the above posted. Each time I go the girl with the dark brown and blonde dyed hair and winged eyeliner is so helpful. I can only hold her up to these standards though. The other worker and pharmacist aren't nearly as genuine or helpful. In fact, the main pharmacist isn't very friendly at all. With that said the perfect rating is for the dyed hair girl only. Anytime when I have a problem with my insurance she always tells me exactly how to do it and assists me any way she can. It's nice to see an employee going so above and beyond for their customers because it's a rare sight to see. read more

Very dissapointed in this cvs pharmacy , pharmacist and staff. I live in lynwood but work here in whittier. I just had oral surgery for 4 impacted mullers almost 2 weeks ago. I now have 2 dry sockets from the trauma so the pain is constant and unbearable. My doctor filled my dry sockets and filled my pain med prescription again I hate taking pills so the pain is REAL and intense for me to even consider taking pain medication. Came to fill my prescription here before work and he said no problem it will be ready in an hour. Came back it wasnt ready. He said come back later because I cannot expedite a controlled substance. I said okay i understand i will come back after work. So i did 6 hours later. And it was ready. Then she asked for my license which I did not have (my fault) okay I took my prescription and went home. Cvs by my house was closed so that was that. Got my license ,Came back in the morning to try and fill again and the pharmacist straight out told me " it looks like you're shopping around" ? Why are you in whittier if youre from lynwood ?!?!?!I have to call your doctor and verify. I didnt understand until my coworker told me she basically insinuated I was a drug addict. So I said that's fine call my doctor I get off work at 2 pm I'll be back then. Then she said you just got this medication filled a couple days ago. it's the 16th my surgery was the 6th. 10 days is not a couple days. She just said yeah it's better if you just go to your city. Not here. So inconsiderate and discriminatory. I now feel belittled and extremely dissapointed. Very rare are you left standing there without acknowledgment, even when it does get busy, which based on my experience isn't often. Many pharmacies I've been to, I find I have to wait a while before getting assistance, but here it really is 'easy in, easy out.' Keep doin' your thing guys! read more

I can't even recall an instance when I didn't have issues trying to get my prescription, either they didn't have the medication or they claimed my prescription was expired and needed to call my doctor before they would give me a refill,which by the way never happened at Rite Aid, they were always happy to give me one last refill while I waited for my doctor to renew my prescription. And when issues arise their attitude is pretty much like "tough luck". They are often poorly staffed so much so that you can't even get a hold of them by telephone. Just as soon as is humanly possible I'm going to transfer my prescription back to Rite Aid. read more
